"Pssh! Solitaire? Who plays that? All about Minecraft." Zach commented. She looked over at him, dark brows raised slightly, “Minecraft?” She said incredulously, trying to decide whether or not he was being serious. Something told her that he was serious, though, and she supposed he had to have some hobby if he wasn’t doing much else. What information she could find about him seemed to suggest he wasn’t keen on helping save the world like his father. She guessed he was too busy playing videogames.
"I think me and at least one other person -or god- can agree that we should get a move on. I know for a fact that you-" he looked into Valentina's eyes. "-have a communication device in your handy dandy suit, so any other information you need can be given while we're on our way."“I do? And to think I thought I was simply hearing voices. That makes much more sense.” Val said jokingly, standing up and ready to get going. She knew all she needed to about the mission and could find out more during the flight if she needed. Looks like Chad would have to be a little lonely tonight because it didn’t seem likely that she would be back in Seattle anytime soon.
Finally things began to get interesting as the doors opened and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents lead filled them in on what would be happening next. She heard that her suit would be on the ship, unconsciously grazing the electromagnet with the tips of her fingers, and nodded, “Good.” She said simply. As useful as her brain was to this mission, she wouldn’t be any use in battle without the suit.
"You coming?"She was already walking when Braego had spoken and so she cast him a look over her shoulder, full lips pulled into a confident grin, “Of course. I wouldn’t miss this for anything. Besides, I’d like to see your face when you see what I can do.” She said boldly, turning back around with a flash of long dark hair and strolled after the others.
Within a few minutes they were boarding the helicarrier, which Val though was far too massive for this particular mission. Instead of voicing those thoughts, however, her keen eyes quickly searched for the case containing her suit. She spotted it a yard away and quickly made her way over to it, heels clicking loudly on the metal floor. It was a black metal suit case, a few inches thick than a business man’s brief case, and had a screen on top that required her identification to open. Through new advances in technology she had been able to get the suit into the tiny box and significantly reduce it's weight while inside of it. With her new design it would be even smaller.
“Miss Stark, you’ll need to sit down.” An agent said, walking up to her and gesturing to the back of the large ship where the others were taking their seats.
She turned, case in hand, and gave him a small flirtatious smile, “Look, handsome, I need to beat some bad guys to a pulp in a very tight fitting iron suit quite soon. Do you think that is going to be very easy when I’m dressed like this?” Valentina asked, gesturing to her long bare legs, heels, and short skirt. There was no way she could get into the suit dressed like this and she had a feeling that stripping down to her underwear infront of her team would not be the best idea after first meeting them. Maybe on the second mission.
The man flushed slightly, clearing his throat and looking away, “Uh, yes, well if you’d like to change you need to do it quickly. There is a small artillery room just over there that you could use.” He suggested, avoiding her unabashed gaze.
“Perfect.” She said brightly and turned on the spot, walking quickly towards the room. Val opened the door, stepped inside with her case, and then pulled it shut tightly behind her. The walls were covered with various weapons but she didn’t have time to consider them. She needed to get changed before the helicarrier took off.
Val pressed one hand on her chest over the electromagnet and placed her other hand on the screen on the top of the case which immediately opened at her touch. Inside was her suit, a curious mass of gold and red that would assemble itself on her body at the touch of her cybernetic technology, and on the lid of the case was folded a
black body suit and boots she had designed specifically to wear with the suit. Though the suit would work if she wore normal clothing, it worked far better with the thinnest amount of clothing possible so that the suit could respond through her nerves. It was extremely advanced and her father had been quite impressed with the design.
Wasting no more time she stripped down, folding the clothing and putting it back inside the flap in the case, and pulled on the skin tight body suit and boots. When finished she shut the case, tossing her voluminous dark hair over her shoulder, and walked back out of the room with a smooth confident stride. After a moment she was back with her team (what an odd idea) and placed the case on the floor next to her. She chose the seat next to Lark who was playing with a stunning silver bow.
"Alright, let's get this show on the road." Valentina said, more to herself than to anyone else, and crossed her long legs while relaxing back into the seat waiting for the helicarrier to take off.
