::Personality::
"So you wanna know a little about me and my quirks huh?"
Anyone that knows Skye would know that it would be hard to describe her because she is very random and a bit quirky. She always tries to keep an upbeat attitude, she doesn't want to waste her time on being depressed about things she has no control on, such as mot knowing who the hell her father is. She doesn't like to be the center of attention and if she is hanging out with a group of people she likes to envolve everyone. She is naturaly flirtatios with other females and might not even know that she is flirting.

Skye doesn't wear her emotions on her sleeve, she doesn't let people in so easily and when she is upset she often removes herself from being around others and deals with it on her own. She doesn't like to bring down others if she is upset and she has issues with trusting. Some people may be able to see that Skye isn't always that upbeat, quirky girl that everyone gets to love but she has yet to meet anyone who she lets see that whole side of her.

A few things you should know about Skye is that she usually is late and usually she doesn't mean to, she has tried hard to work on this issue but something always happens that causes her to be at least a few minutes late. Shes also known to be quite stubborn and its quite funny to see Skye in one of her stubborn moods because she gets this look on her face that once you see that look you know there is no way she is budging.

She would like to know who her father is, she has tried to get the name from her mother but her mother has told her no over and over. There is no name under Father on her birth certificate, she knows he knows who she is but she wishes to knownwho he is or at least his name. She has been searching for a couple years now, even gave a letter to her mother ti give to him but she isnt sure if he ever got it. She doesn't like to talk about her father situation with anyone really, its something she keeps locked inside her but sometimes she worries that she is going to explode from the unknown.

"Into the Past"

Image
::History::
"Not everything is simple, I know my past is far from simple"
Skye Keaton was born on a cold winter day on January 17th to Shannon Keaton. Her father was not present at her birth and he did not plan to be present during Skye's life. When she was old enough to understand her mother said she had a few dates with her father but that was all and when her mother found out she was pregnant her father didn't want Skye to know who he was. The reason why was because he was Antonio Orccheto and he was married and had a family. The only way he was envolved was he had a bank account made for her mother and her and put money in it every month to help out.

Her mother raised her the best she could, Skye was independent by the time she could walk. She got into everything and by the time she was two her mother wanted to pull out her hair. Skye's independence never went away, it actually got worse as she got older. When she entered school she was always one to question her teachers and also had a knack of talking back but she was also one or the top students of her class. She would get sent home with detentions but she always got on the honor roll. She actually skipped third grade and was able to move to fourth grade.

She was able to make friends easily but she preferred to hangout with the outcast group, she liked to be different and not follow the norms of society. By the time she was twelve she already knew she was disinterested in guys and had her eyes on the girls, it felt right to her and she told her mom who was always accepting of her. At thirteen she had her first kiss with a freshman girl, it was just a kiss but it was everything to her. When she was fifteen she already had her face covered in piercings and was smoking pot with her group of outcast friends. Her mother let her explore and find herself, though some things she wished Skye wouldnt engage in but she knew if she tried to stop Skye she would just do it behind her back.

Skye graduated a year early and wasn't ready to go into the college life yet because she was unsure of what she wanted to do with her life. She was still in search of her father but she wasn't sure if she would ever find out who the misterious guy who she shares her genes with. She decideded she would find a job and see how it goes. She applied many places but what shocked her the most was she got a job at the Bistro, she actually only applied at that place because her friend dared her to. She never thought she would be accepted as a waitress with no prior training, but life has always liked to throw suprises at her. She just hopes they won't mind how different and quirky she can be.

"Frank just let her go"

The detective didn't believe what he heard, it took several moments to register what might have been going on inside the girls head. "You don't get it Skye." He said shifting his weight away from Maria. "These people are noting like you or me, they're-" whatever Frank was about to say was interrupted by a loud gun fire. Suddenly, Frank was on the ground bleeding. FFFFuck! Not again. He yelled inside his head. The pain was a familiar one, but still unwelcomed. His shot up leg was involuntarily twitching as his blood was quickly soaked up by the fabric of his jeans.

Frank paid no attention to what Cole was saying. In the detectives mind, that man was already labeled a moron and file as a pathetic pawn piece, but then what would that make Frank? A rook? No too straight edge. A knight perhaps? Frank smiled as he realized his thoughts before he dies are of a board game. Still, sometimes you have to sacrifice a knight to get to the queen; speaking of that bitch, Frank realized Maria was talking to him. "I hate to see it end like this, you know? You were so sweet at the club the other night." She said to him. The wounded man forced a laugh. "If you are the one that ends up killing me, then I'll die a happy man." He said trying to ignore the pain that he kept at bay.

He remained calm and quiet as Maria caressed him from his throat down towards his wound. Frank knew what was about to happen, he's even pulled this stunt on several of his own victims. She was clearly a woman after his own heart. However, he didn't expect the kiss. It was a nice touch, and Frank enjoyed getting ruff, but this was too much to be considered pleasurable, even by his standards. The pain did eventually overwhelm the wounded detective as he suddenly gasped for air when she was finished assaulting his lips.

He was fading in and out of contentiousness now, barely able to keep it together when suddenly he identified the silhouette of the devil himself. Frank was surprised to watch Maria's reaction when she saw her father, but didn't waste any time supporting her decision. "Shoot him." He mumbled to Maria, praying she would. As he tried to sit up, Frank noticed a man stepping in the middle of this little family feud. "Shoot him too." he mumbled more to himself than anyone else.

Maria Occheto

He put not two, but one brawny hand up in relent. For the first time in years, Maria witnessed an expression of pain and sorrow on her father's face. And as she watched his hand go up, she thought of her own brother's whom were identical in size. Her gut wrenched, her heart beat seeming to cease. Antonio pointed a craned finger to his daughter's throat, his lips curling to ask a question as if it was really the time for all of that. The otherwise short Occheto girl did not waver, swallowing hard as she gripped the gun, her index finger quaking near the trigger. Cloudburst and hellfire could not stop her now, not with the infeed of information recently bestowed upon her.

Without warning all of her notions from the morning breathed their last, evaporating into nothingness. The duplicity committed by her father was bad enough from the getgo; knowing that he cheated on his wife and left his family only added to the list. Everything was clicking with rapid fire in her concentration. The odd feeling of recognition she got with Skye, the constant need for her father to attempt to veil Maria from everything, the truth behind her mother's depression. It was this particular disloyalty, though, that had her wanting desperately for the light to leave his eyes, she being the cutthroat who committed it. Did Cole know all along? Suddenly she was doubting everything and everyone around her.

Frank's sputtering hurt her heart and she felt overwhelmingly guilty. While she was torn between taking action between him and her father, Joe tried to lower her gun. To this, she pulled her own from the right, pointing Frank's, in her left, at Joe's face. Her gaze was silent. "Come on Maria, don't do this," her father cooed from the other side of the parking lot, stealing glances into Cole's car. She didn't falter, aiming her sights down at two men in completely different directions. Her father's left hand reached into his coat to pull out his own firearm. In seconds, Maria fired a loud warning shot that whizzed right by his head. Then, she looked at Joe, crumpling a little.

"I'm not going to let him kill you," she said loudly to Frank, "Because you deserve better than that." Disgust rolled off her tongue as she referenced her father, the man who was unmistakably a stranger. She dropped down beside Frank, her face flinching as she pointed the barrel to his temple. Putting one hand on the other side of him to steady herself, she lowered her face to his ear, "I wish you could have taken me in." Her voice was honest and tainted with bittersweet disappointment as her hand that steadied her grabbed Frank's, as if it could really offer any comfort. This wasn't who she was, she realized that as she released a bullet into his brain.

Cole Occheto
Stopping short, Cole wore an odd combination of a glower and a smirk. He complied with his sister's hand signal, his gun drooping in his grip as it fell to his side. With macabre exertion his baby sister stuffed her finger into the wound Cole was accountable for. "Well," he shifted his gaze between Frank and Mae, "Consider yourself lucky." He wiggled his fingers in a sort of spirit way, embellishing the size of them and silently elucidating. Noxious. That's what Mae had become; Cole had to try and think of something to calm her down before she imposed suffering on everyone around her. Their was an immense fee to be paid for the tribulation she herself, had faced in a mere fourteen hours.

He acknowledged the look in her eyes as retaliation. Body count at the end of the night would hopefully be zero on her part, but that was completely wishful thinking. After all, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. He jerked his head away as his little sister trained the gun on Frank. But, he was half stunned when he didn't hear a gunshot, or two. Instead he heard his father's voice. "This isn't going to end well," he muttered aloud as he pivoted. His father wore a long coat, and before Cole could catch the conversation drifting through the rain, he withdrew his snubnose.

"Dad!" Cole shouted, not expecting what came next as his sister pointed two guns. One was inches from Joe's face, one was aimed at his father. She was on edge and, he expected that if anyone attempted to stop her, she'd stop them first. A bullet flew by his father's ear, causing the man to blink rapidly rather than duck.

Maria Occheto

Weight shifted uneasily and forcefully onto her heart. Funny, she was unsure of whether the thing still actually existed. Before she let the blast of gunfire crack through the air, a bullet ricochet in Frank's skull, she muttered something almost inaudible, "I would have let you take me in willingly. I would have revered you like a hero and smothered you in kisses. I didn't --- not like this. Not like this. God damn. " A painful smile jerked at her quivering lips before she pulled the trigger. It was no time to get sentimental but in all fairness a bombshell had been dropped that night, leaving her assailable by emotions and outside forces.

Then, Skye plopped beside her, blubbering apologies. With a pang of culpability, Maria glanced over the girl who was her little sister. The look in her father's eyes corroborated it. Skye drudged back to the car as Maria sat still beside the corpse. A stifled grunt escaped her throat as she forced herself to her feet, the atmospheric pressure pummeling her composure as if it weren't already fargone enough. By the time she raised her eyes to meet her father's gaze, he was inches from her. Agitated as her heart was, her mind was determined to inflict some sort of discomfort. It was only fair. With a swift yet small hand still holding the glock, she right hooked her own father in his jaw.

Though he staggered back, clenching his rearranged bone structure, he said nothing. His eyes seemed to search for words to which Maria snarled, "I knew you were a piece of shit but this," she threw Frank's gun at her father's feet. Clattering hopelessly it nicked the toe of his expensive shoes. "This really ices the cake, Antonio." Not even a recoil from a punch came, but when his daughter called him by his first name with disjointed execration, he winced and immediately drew back.

Cole Occheto

The Occheto boy raised his gun again, directed at his father, "Don't do it." More than anything he was exhausted from the theatrics, perhaps less affected than his sisters. Shock value was rarely manufactured within him due to the things he'd seen in his time of working for his father. He rolled his neck with agitation, "Mae goā€¦ Just go." The Italian woman almost scoffed, still holding her .40 and heaving with apprehension.
"Mae. Go." He reaffirmed.
"Really, Cole?" The question left her mouth in the form of a scowl.
"You said what you needed to, just go."
"I think I struck a nerve," she said as she stormed away from her father, the crime scene, and her newfound little sister, "Good."

Meteorological conditions worsened as Cole closed in on the dead body, calling Joe over. From the side of his mouth he said, "Let's get this shit cleaned up." Big Daddy however, stood amongst the two young men, peering after Maria for a moment, lost for words. Equally as misplaced, he looked at Skye. But his face was stern again, speaking no emotion as his cold gunmetal eyes shifted to and fro. He was caught and, it wasn't often that he experienced that burden. And luckily for him, his son spoke little on behalf of the circumstances as he once again prioritized doing his father's bidding. The cobalt Ford Fusion whipped out of the parking lot with a squeal.

Utilizing his usual charm Cole grabbed Frank's ankles, "It's nice to see that all the cops in Chicago don't sit around and eat doughnuts, huh?" A muffled laugh gurgled in the back of his esophagus as he began to lift with the help of Joe's strength. Just when they had it balanced, Big Daddy growled, "Qualcuno ha bisogno di pager."

"Oh, really?" Cole nearly dropped the ankles in his hands, "Someone has to pay?"
"Yes." His father stated blankly.
"Someone has to pay for your fuck ups?" The blue-eyed miscreant paused, "No. You need to take accountability where it's due whether you like it or not. You're a liar. I could give a shit less, really. None of us are saints and I can say that with confidence. A lot of us though, we're doing our jobs. I'm just doing what is expected of me here. But you, you got figured out tonight. You need to fix that. Not any of us. You. And you can't raise your hand to a woman because she hurt your feelings."

Jackson Hughes
Little did Jackson know, on the floor just below, Lance was still hanging around. Had he caught that, things would have inevitably been more shaken up than anything one Russian lummox could spawn. The looming brickhouse of a man relented a little, apologizing with a major lack of probity. Regardless, it bothered Jackson little. With a simple nod, Jackson let the guy off to go find whatever it was that he needed. Precautions should have been taken, but Jackson found his intentions wandering on the impetuous side. If the guy returned brandishing a rocket launcher, they were all fucked. Hopefully that was just an impractical figment of his imagination, though.

On the first floor, a loud crack, almost the sound of timber was heard. He didn't budge from the office as he ventured towards Martin, "He didn't give you too much trouble, right man?" Beneath his jacket, his stomach lurched with indignant hunger. A man could only be assumed as stupid if he walked away from a dish Terron made, but duty did call. Undoubtedly he'd have to fill that discrete void with alcohol which hopefully Aurora would be carting up any minute.

He strode out to the hallway where he could overlook the banister. Nearly falling in a heap over Daniel, he stopped impulsively and looked him over, "You look like hell, kid." Then he moved to the baluster and looked down to see an unidentified man slumped on the bar, probably drunk. Behind Jackson, Aurora had come happily with the drinks as he asked. "Just set em' down," he instructed. Buca's doors burst open, a girl of precisely 5'9" (only in those heels, though) rolled in from the storm, her hair and clothes soaked. Seized in her grip was the very discernible .40 he had seen her wield so many times.

It seemed she was in a daze as she stopped just beyond where the doors swung shut. Maybe she was gathering herself. Tucking away her gun, she peered upwards as if she were some sort of clairvoyant. Her green eyes burned into him. He tried to force a smile. Hell, it looked like she needed it. But he couldn't muster it as he looked at her, drained and astray.

Kat smiled when Tesla tossed her the bottle, it wouldn't be the first time that she danced high, nor the last. Catching the pill bottle she twisted the cap and took one out. After Tesla left she looked at the pill curiously before slipping it into her mouth, shed taken pills dry before, when she was a teenager her mother had her on birth control, so swallowing it was no problem.

Sitting there she looked into the mirror and wondered what Skye was doing, the loud speaker introduced another stripper onto the stage and the dull roar of the crowd told her shed have to do her best when it was her turn. The stripper's stage name was Diamond, Kat knew her, her real name was Chelsea and she was on the dirtier side, she preferred the V.I.P. room to the stage and was rumored to have a few diseases because of it.

Kat was getting kind of bored and anxious while she was waiting, she wished she'd taken her laptop with her to work tonight. She could have kept up her search for an apartment for lease so she could show Skye, Kat smiled at the thought of an apartment. The motels she stayed in were so run down and lifeless, she wanted to be able to make something her own, and the fact that this would be Skye's first experience away from home she wanted to make sure it was a good one.

When she felt the pills kicking in, she got up and made her way out to see the crowd. She wasn't there to take attention away from Diamond, just get the libido of some of their less interested patrons, offering lap dances and some teasing got a couple of bills placed in her top, shorts, and even boots. The rain had brought in more people than usual meaning it would be a good night for the girls.

Kenzie listened as she ate the spicy shrimp that was placed before her, paying attention but not weighing too much on the cops words. Her mind fumbled with reasons why he wasn't being entirely truthful, and how could he be on a pier and not see anything....only hear gunshots? They were taking pictures, and he found nothing when he was investigating. As her sister took the route of silence once again, Kenzie decided to speak up "Is there any chance we can get the pictures that were taken that night? They might give us some idea of the times the deals take place, the location for a safe distance to observe without being placed in any real danger. There's also a chance that your fiance might have caught some information that could be valuable for the case."

Kenzie ate quietly as Julian told them about his past, and when she was passed the letter, she looked it over before folding it up and placing it in her purse for safe keeping. She smiled at her sister as she took charge once again and spoke her mind. This was the most shed seen out of Maxxie in a long time. Kenzie felt guilt sting at her stomach, Maxxie really did deserve to be on this case more than she did., Maxxie had studied everything the FBI had to offer about this case before she embarked on it, while Kenzie's information was extremely limited, and even though they were sisters, Maxxie was forbidden from disclosing information to her about anything until she was assigned on as well.

By the time that Maxxie had finished speaking, Kenzie had finished eating. After Maxxie had commented on dinner she took her pills with a face Kenzie had come to see far too often, disgust, and this time more than just from the medications Kenzie knew she hated. Kenzie could feel her sisters mistrust of the cop who was supposed to help them and it only deepened her own. "I couldn't agree more."

Demi gladly took the cigarette Suri had offered her and placed it between her lips, a turn and a smile got her a light from one of the patrons who was gulping down his mug of beer. She really hated the way men were sometimes. Sucking down the smoke she rolled her head back in pleasure, opening her mouth to let the remnants of the deadly smoke drift from her lungs.

When Rosa announced she would be leaving too, Demi rolled her head around and blew the remaining smoke in her direction before frowning. "Get brought here by a sexy she-devil for business to get left in the hands of Vodka's Vixen who gives me free access to her bar......hmm....." After a moment of pondering a wicked smile crawled across her face. After she left Demi found he way behind the bar as her demonic smile graced many of the patrons. "I didn't know my company was so bad to keep......but hey....." she giggled before almost pouncing on one of the people lounging on the bar.

The poor female almost fell out of her chair by Demi's sudden appearance, only encouraging Demi's giggles. Sucking down the smoke from her cigarette Demi decided to play with the alcohol a bit, she grabbed the Vodka and a glass, as well as a few more ingredients that would make you think she was about to mix a red devil. The only thing is she messed with the measuring, omitted a few ingredients and added a few extra. When she was finished she smiled again and announced the name of her new drink "Vodka's Vixen," before cackling once again.

After tasting her new drink she tossed back her head once again, assaulting the air with vibrant red locks of flame, and let out a satisfied moan of pleasure. After taking a long swig of blood red liquid she turned to her "customers" with dangerously lidded eyes. The effects of her high was mixing with the liquor making her as giddy as a school girl. "Now I don't want to be a bad host....and I wont let any of you make me one. Who wants some?" Although no one raised their hand to volunteer to drink her venom, she poured several glasses just like her own and waited for the beautiful Belladonna she had arrived with to return to her.

Cole Occheto

"I suppose you're right." Big Daddy said in crippled English, harsh under his leaden Sicilian accent. The feral weather whipped rain across what skin was exposed of Cole's as he and his friend hauled the body towards his car. After dumping the lifeless form into his trunk with a thud, he brushed his hands off and tossed the gun in on top of Frank. "I'll get this all handledā€¦"
"Don't leave a trail." Big Daddy grunted, attempting to light a cigar.
"Do I ever?" Cole beamed with confidence and derision.
"Wellā€¦"
"Man, shut up." Cole shut the trunk.

As he paced back to the driver side, he remembered the note in his pocket. His bad luck was simultaneously unsightly and strewn in every which way. Now he had to worry about a potentially pregnant girl he hooked up with months ago, a dead cop in his trunk, the revelation that he had a sister he never knew about, and Mae going off on a rampage. Ground painfully, his teeth clamped together as he waved off his father who was already walking back to his car, fighting against the droplets to ignite the end of his smoke.

Flecked with water, his face still seemed content and unfazed. His azure eyes burned through the black, waterlogged night from the driver seat. He supposed there was a slight upside to the entire ruination; he didn't hold a grudge against his father. Whatever he did was his business and even though it was a betrayal of grand proportion, Cole couldn't have cared less. Revving the engine, he kept the car in park as the interior was pervaded with blasting heat. His thoughts refused to stumble upon something worthy of saying to the teenage girl who he thought was in his back seat. It was probably weighing her down just as it did Mae, and sympathizing words were hard to find.

"I'm not going to keep you like some sort of hostage," he finally breathed as he pulled off his damp coat and tossed it into the passenger seat. "What happened tonight was ten different levels of fucked up andā€¦ I'm sorry Skye. We didn't know. Whatever you feel, whatever you want to do when you get out of this carā€¦ You're entitled to it. I can't make any of this seem lessā€¦ bad. It sucks." He wanted to kick himself for how dense and unhelpful he sounded. When he looked into the mirror, there was no one.

"Shit," he muttered. Any type of focus he could have hoped to attain was lost as he wondered what to do about his not-so-one-night-stand. If he had the concentration to, he'd be cursing himself in his own mind for being so selfish but the nucleus of his notions was all but gone. He got out of the car, letting it run as he glanced around just in time to see Skye's silhouette being brutally smashed by a car.

"No," Cole barely managed, the words drying up in his throat and hardly rasping their way out. He broke into a full sprint towards Skye, crumpled in the road. Blood veiled her face, expressionless but still alive. "Skye," he forced, touching his fingers to the veins on her wrist. She's still alive, he thought as he gathered the tiny girl who was his other baby sister, into his arms. He had an entire cabinet of implements sure to weigh him down with guilt by the time he finally returned home. But for the time being, he had to get her to a hospital. Then his thoughts darted back to the body in his trunk. Fuck, I'm going to have to leave her at the ER.

Jackson Hughes

Windy City seemed to be more of a primary destination for the night rather than Maya's hotel room that was Jackson's gratuity. She was mentally off in uncharted territory, that much he could tell from the expression on her face when he had squinted over the indoor balcony to see what she was up to. If he wasn't about to dive face-first into Maria's affairs, he wasn't going to explore Maya's either. After all, he had saved her from herself less than twenty four hours ago and, he didn't feel like he owed anyone much of anything. Well, except Martin.

The renowned translator shouldn't have had to put up with such malarky from a big boy with his panties in a bunch, regardless if it concerned an agreement typed up by Martin or not. Jackson was ultimately the right hand of Big Daddy, one of the very first young enforcers and one of the most critical. Blameworthiness freckled his conscience for not paying more attention when Vlad flounced into Buca with a chip on his shoulder. The dirtying of hands was tackled by enforcers, not scholars and blue stockings.

He drained two large glasses consecutively then wobbled back onto the open second floor plan to check up on the state of things below. He caught Maria just as Daniel plucked her hand away from his wrist. A spiteful simper wrenched at his mouth as he watched but was annihilated when Daniel spoke a remnant that indicated he was driving her home. As the translator ambled up the stairs, obviously afflicted by his injuries, Jackson raised an eyebrow, "You sure you can drive her? I can do it, you don't look so good."

Before he had an opportunity to act the least bit sympathetic, key word being act, the young man was down the stairs again. Grumbling, Jackson pivoted and went back into Martin's office.

Maria Occheto

Spirit of inquiry danced in Maria's in other respects, nostalgic green eyes when Aurora let the stranger off withā€¦ a job offer? Shrugging discreetly, she cared too little to ask about what the meaning of it all was. At that moment in time she was just void and fractured in more ways than one. But at Aurora's advice about not starting fights, Maria mumbled, "Oh boy."

Mama Russia. It was perfect. Aurora had this maternalistic way to her and was always quick to take anyone under her wing even if those wings didn't fly her where she wanted to go half the time. It was her selflessness that drew Maria in and even made her worry for the young girl's feeble heart where her brother was concerned. In spite of all precautionary warnings, they still ended up together happily which still didn't cease to blow Maria's already splintered mind. The recollections of she and Aurora's first few encounters hurt her brain as she seemed too ill prepared to reminisce about anything after the way her night unraveled.

Maria's grasp was deplumed by Daniel, to which her hand abated and hung limp at her side, useless. He was asserting himself for once which caught Maria off guard seeing as she was the one who wouldn't take no for an answer about taking him home just the night before. How the tables had turned so quickly. Expressing concern for her was a painful condition he prompted. And this was due to the fact that such genuine regard was only displayed by her mother and Aurora, as far as she could remember. If it came from the opposite sex, it would more than likely cause an inextinguishable bearing of soul. She wasn't ready for all that, but it was probably too late.

She nodded vacantly, no longer attempting to be evasive. He tootled away with haste and a hiss from his undoubtedly bruised ribs, only to return jingling keys. "Yeah I just have to grab my phone from my carā€¦ The Sheraton is likeā€¦ Five blocks away, are you sureā€¦" Her eyes met his and she realized it was futile to even ask. Her head bobbed up in down as she relented into submission. The two exited Buca to brave the distance between the entrance and their vehicles, inundated by cruel, wet conditions.

After snagging her wallet and phone from her car, she followed Daniel to his. She pried the door open and flattened the stranger's jacket over the cushion of the passenger side. When she sunk into the seat, she flicked her index finger against the touch screen of her iPhone to see she had received a message from Suri:
Hey doll, I have run into a problem that I have to take care of so I don't think ill be able to come to Buca's tonight. ā™„S.

Huffing quietly, she tucked the phone back into her wallet. Good thing Suri had no way of seeing her tonight, or there would be serious hell to pay. Having Daniel be her chauffeur and caretaker of sorts was a blessing

Cole Occheto
Hastening to his side was the assailant that just nearly killed his little sister. Limp in his arms, he sheltered her from the rain to the best of his ability and gritted his teeth. If his hands weren't full, he would have reached for his gun and shot the sorry bastard. It would have been a double-standard type of move, being that Cole had so mindlessly injured and even taken lives from people. The thunder rolled, rattling Cole's feral conscience.

He stopped short of his car, thinking about the body in his trunk. Slowly he rotated in place to face the driver, "I'm her brother. I need you toā€¦" Stirring unconsciously the girl twitched a little, the impact of the hit still perturbing her poor, tiny body even in her blacked out state. He couldn't begin to fathom the possible internal damage done.

"Take her to the hospital. Say it was a hit and run." The whole thing sounded impossibly shady, but Cole was good at sounding persuasive and practical. "Her name is Skye Keaton. They'll call our mom but she's paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheelchair. I'm going to go pick her up and get to the hospital; we have no other immediate family and my mom will want to be there."

He dumped the girl into the driver's arms, "You can just get her to the E.R. and leave. I don't want your ID, I don't want your insurance info. Just get my sister to the E.R." Before the frazzled young man had a chance to object, Cole squeezed in, "It's the least you could do."

No further words were exchanged as Cole finally dodged the storm for real, shoving himself into his car despite the little undetectable angel on his shoulder telling him to stay with Skye. The Ford belted out of the cafe parking lot and sped off to the nearest bar. The last thing he needed was everyone in Buca on his ass about what went down, so he'd just stop at the next best thing to get a few drinks in his system in hopes of calming his nerves.

When he pulled into the nearest bar parking lot, he was displeased to see some prick parked right in a no-parking zone and partially blocking up the driving lane. Then he saw the familiar blond and black hair, matted in the rain and shuffling around in what appeared to be a fight withā€¦ His cousin? Hardly on the brakes before Cole jumped out, he yelled, "Julian!"

He jogged over, intervening and looking at his family member with disgust. "Cops," he spat, grabbing Rosa and standing in front of her, "Play the good guy but behind the scenes?" He glanced at Suri, "You like to hit girls, man?" If Julian so much as attempted to make a single pace towards any of the females Cole was prepared to lay his ass out, still shocked at the way his own cousin handled his fiance.

Jackson Hughes
The glass was silently suffering under the pressure of Jackson's grip, his clench slackening at the sound of Martin's explanation. Bringing one wrist to his face to wipe feeble sweat from his forehead, he riposted, "Fucking Russians." Shaking his head, he wore an evasive grin. Martin had to without fail know why more than one person was vexed by the origin of those people. Their assumptive behavior and likeliness to literally jump the gun led more than a couple to dislike them, let alone trust them. On top of it all, Maria was assaulted earlier in the day by a pair of their natives.

Martin was hyperextending himself to attempt to reassemble the sense of organization that prevailed prior to Vlad's berserk episode. "They have a habit of not handling business too directly. Always someone through someone through someone else. But I guess we do it that way here. But what the fuck, man. Don't they know that such disorderly communication is bound to pose some problems?" Jackson sighed, swaying his head in disapproval of such etiquette.

He peered out of the doorway, his vision trained on the second floor to check so no one would hear him as he said, "Maria came in all soaking wet, dripping on the floor. Just left with the other translator. Everyone made a fuss over the princess being distressed."

Maria Occheto
Maria wondered what her sisterā€¦ Sisterā€¦ It was hard to think of it in that light, being that she hired the girl for a spare waitress just nights before. It was administering bedlam on every inch of her nerves and thoughts. The girl was so timid yet so painfully akin to Maria in mannerisms that it literally discomforted her to think about. But she did wonder what her sister was doing now, and if she was still with Cole and Big Daddy. If she had half a brain she would run as far from all of it as she could and never turn back.

Determined to at least talk to one girl she liked, she dug out her phone from her wallet again, typed out a response to Suri and hit send:
I had one hell of a night. So I probably woulda missed ya anyway tonight. By the way, did you figure out what you're doing with Frank yet? Annnnnd also, hope you didn't forget to put some meat on that doll's bones from the club. Have a good night poopsie xoxo

"You're cute," Maria uttered quietly, looking out through the windshield as she put her phone on the dashboard. The way Daniel had taken on fending off the rain from her and asserting himself in such a way that she couldn't contravene if she wanted to was actually winsome. Maria would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy it at least a little. And it wasn't often she was swayed by anyone who acted the knight-in-shining-armor part. He shadowed her the entire way to the car, from hers to his, and she couldn't stop replaying it. From a stray puppy to an adored companion --- that was almost comparable to the transition Daniel made.

Then she thought back to the first night she actually wholeheartedly acknowledged his presence. While he was panic-stricken, watching her drag a druggie's corpse into the cellar of Buca, she was using the tragic yet charming Occheto humor. From there on for whatever reason, she began to bump heads with him more. Subconsciously she predicted that some part of her coveted him. But that was only subconscious.

An awkward silence passed until Daniel rounded a corner, sending the phone sliding to which Maria leaned haphazardly forward to grab it. Her arms and fingers scrabbled. She must have looked like a complete idiot until her hands finally captured the device and crammed it back into the billfold in her lap. "Y-you... you said the Sheraton correct?" Ah, that's right, she had nearly forgotten.

"Yeah we're really close now." She replied with a crackle in her throat, hoping what she had mustered up just seconds ago floated into the realm of the forgotten. Images of rich, plush white comforters and silk pillows flooded her brain despite her eyes peering at a black, hardened storm beyond the windshield. Hopefully the heaven she anticipated at the hotel was not just a fantasy. As they pulled up in front of the looming hotel, Maria smiled.

Her lush, soft pink lips were expressing honest gratitude and a hint of contentedness. She turned her emerald gaze onto Daniel, sitting in the driver seat like her demigod chauffeur, speckled in bruises and injuries that somehow made the sight ten times more appealing. "Thank you, seriously. I'll be fine, so stop worrying, okay?" She appreciated him more than he would know.

As Kitten prowled through the crowd one of Madam's lackeys found her, he had a sleek black leather coil in his hand. "Ze Madam has a new prop for ze kitten." His accent was almost unbearable but she got the point. His eyes raked over her exposed flesh with a hunger Kat would have found disgusting had she not seen it so often, she found a sense of pride in it though. It was her job to cause these kinds of reactions in people, and his hungry eyes told her she did her job well.

Taking the whip from the mans hands she heard the loud speaker announce the end of Diamonds dance, Kat looked over to see the whore luring a man into the back room.....one of the biggest tippers there tonight. She shook her head as her thoughts growled the words she couldn't say in earshot of her customers, though they probably knew how diseased she was just by her appearance. Tesla was announced as the new addition to the Windy City family. The crowd cheered as she saw Tesla scramble to the stage.

Kat sauntered over to the wall to watch Tesla dance, she was feeling great due to the pills the girl had given her. As the bass began to pulse out a sensual beat to hypnotize the audience to the Angel of Lust who was beginning her dance. Before looking to the stage though, Kats eyes roamed over the crowd to see if Skye had shown, not seeing her she bit her lip and absentmindedly played with her sexy weapon. Kat had messed around with whips before so she was no stranger to their ways, she was also careful to keep the whip away from the patrons of the bar. She quietly watched Tesla to see if she had payed attention to her instructions, but by the way it was looking, she hadn't.

Demitria Lawrence

Dementia was in the peek of her fun when she saw Pulse stride out of the hallway. A few of the braver or drunker patrons had dared to sip her toxic surprise, and this just made Demi soar higher than she already was. Suri leaned over the counter just as Demi finished her Vodka's Vixen, whispering in her ear was already a turn on, but when Pulse bit her ear she couldn't help but moan. Playing was just what Demi had in mind.

Demi slid over the counter top, leaving behind the customers who were either slumped over or on the floor, who ever was still standing wouldn't be momentarily. Demi watched Suri lead her away with starving eyes. The way Pulse walked let everyone know she meant business and that business was left unfinished. When a man entered the bar, he crossed the wrong girls path at the wrong time, and she told him so to. When Suri's fist connected with the mans jaw, Demi couldn't help but laugh. This was about to get real fun fast.

She found herself walking to a beat that had popped in her head, so she decided to sing along "Move bitch get out da way, get out da way bitch get out da way." She paused a moment to laugh again and continued on "Oh noooo, the fights out, she about to put your lights out, get the fuck back! Guard yo grill, theres somethin wrong she cant stay still!" Be it the drugs, the alcohol, or the combination of the two, Dementia found this hilarious, the only downside was she was unarmed, and she knew how Pulse worked, this was her fight, and she wouldn't interfere, just watch. When the guy grabbed Suri's bad arm she wished she could though.

When the man threw her an angered look she laughed in his face, blood was running down his chin, and even though Pulse was on the ground, this wasn't over, far from it, the thoughts of plotting his downfall excited her. Even though he had done nothing to her, he was Pulses enemy, making him hers as well. When the tender from earlier pushed her out of the way, she decided to check on Pulse, not even noticing the other man. When the man threw the girl against the glass Demi found more of a reason to hate him. Demi made her mind focus on Pulse, she extended her arm to help her up "Now we gotta get that arm fixed."

Makenzie Williams

When Julian stepped out to take the phone call she sipped her lemonade idly, re-reading the letter wondering if this was a real clue or not, the man was blatantly misleading to them. After he said goodbye and left she thought about calling the agency, telling them their ally was possibly crooked. Could their superior agent have mistaken him for a good guy when in reality he was part of the team they were supposed to bring down? It was a fatal mistake if so. Could jeopardize everything they were working for, it could get them killed.

When her sister spoke she turned her attention away from the letter. "I feel the same.....to be honest I'm not entirely sure that the letter has anything for us either. It's just one of the many things that Antonio had done. Just the tip of the iceburg. We both know the whole family needs to go down. Including the cop. I think he's dirty too. I think the agency made a mistake."

As the waitress approached Kenzie quieted herself. After she had taken the money and left Kenzie noticed how exhausted Maxxie had become. This dinner was a stressful one, and it had obviously taken its toll, not to mention Kenzie knew she wasn't sleeping well. When Maxxie mentioned Bindi needed to go out she hoped that the dog had held her bladder, they were still in the process of training the dog. She stood and grabbed her jacket and purse, placing the letter back inside. She took her sister out to the car, got into the drivers seat and drove home.

The alfresco brawl was perfectly fit for a movie as the Chicago empyrean spit its rage onto any inhabitants that may be unsheltered below. On the pavement were flecks of blood being washed away by substantially size drops. Grim humor hung in the air, coming from Suri's mouth as she lay on the sidewalk where an unidentified redhead attempted to help her to her feet. From Julian came no recoil. No angry words nor movements in Cole's direction at least.

"Piece of shit pig," he spat as his cousin tried to intimidate his own fiance into leaving with him, "I'm sure she'd be much safer locked up in a house with someone who beats her, right?" He called out as Julian zipped into his car which was dangerously close to his parked, running Ford. With a sigh he looked to Julian's anticipated wife, wrapping her up in his arms. She shivered against him, full-tilting him into a merciful state. "In-the-daylight-hero-acting-piece-of-shit-cowardly-motherfucker." The slew of insults spewed from Cole's mouth like greased lightning and followed the exhaust from Julian's vehicle, sounding half funny and half retarded. But he meant every word.

Cole was vastly larger than little Rosalinda, which he was used to. He took advantage of his size to lower his lips to her hair and whisper into her tresses, "You don't ever go back there. You don't deserve that." He let her go, well aware that the comfort he offered for ex-employees was tossed to the curb or unwelcome. Aesthetically and internally appealing, Cole was no stranger to Rosa's charm. She was dangerous and wild and completely wrong for Julian. Well, actually, he was just wrong for her.

But he knew women. He'd been with handfuls of them and despite red flags and warnings they'd stay with Cole, only to have their hearts recklessly demolished by his ways. None of those traits encompassed abusing women physically, though, that was for sure. And judging by the look of helplessness in Rosa's eyes, she was in love with a monster she otherwise didn't know how to escape. The funniest thing about such a situation was the woman typically believed their abuser would protect them.

"Suri," Cole said loudly, "You alright?" Not only had Julian assaulted his dear one, but Suri as well. It earned him a nice spot tacked in Cole's brain on a long hit list, riiiiight at the top. Had Julian not made away so quickly, Cole would have at least beat him in the face with the butt of his gun until Julian truly interpreted the damage and pain he inflicted on others.

At this rate, Cole was never going to get the body in his trunk handled let alone see the cresting opportunity to rush to Skye in the hospital or call Lea. As far as she was concerned, he hoped it was some sick joke rather than the alternative harsh reality. And who knew if Skye ever even made it to the hospital. He couldn't trust that guy. God dammit, what the fuck was I thinking? What's wrong with me? For once in his life, Cole was prepared to buckle completely under the burden of what came with being a delinquent of hundreds of different degrees.

Kat watched the girl with a smile. Tesla had to have done this before, she was a natural. Kats eyes roamed over the audience, she noticed that they were captivated in the Lusty Angel's presence. Tesla was strong too, not many newbies could hang from the poll like that. Kat could see Madam watching her as well, it was written all over the womans face that she approved, Tesla was having a great first dance.

Kat smiled as the bills began to fly, they were really eating her up out there, and she was daring too, but smart about it, she kept a hand on the poll when making a questionable move. When she crawled to the edge of the stage, Kat got nervous, but the man was smart about it, he slipped the bill into Tesla cleavage without a problem. And when she started teasing the crowd.....Kat found herself almost begging for skin, she found the thoughts surprising, this girl really was good. When Kat looked back to the crowd her nerves went haywire, the man who was giving the Angel a hard time earlier was making his way up front with a determined look on his face. Rearranging herself, Kat kept an eye on the man as she watched the show.

The man pulled out more money than any of the others currently had in their hands and she saw Tesla make her way over. She was forgetting about the others and her own safety, then Kat saw it happen. Her ankles were seized and she tumbled into the mans lap, she was being held down and the man who had her in his lap was going to far. Kat looked to the bouncers, and one of the strippers was showing him a good time, he was completely unaware of what was happening!

With a crack of the whip she caught the mans attention, everyone's attention, and she was on him when the bouncer was just learning of what happened. With a line of obscenities pouring from her mouth, Kat had her whip curled tight around his neck. When he let go of Tesla to try to uncoil the whip, Kat crawled into his lap, never letting up on her whip. She was inches from his face as she purred "So, you want a pretty girl on your lap huh? ya wanna test the boundaries? Go a little farther than your willing to pay?" Kat had no idea where the words were coming from, but her purr turned into a growl "The girl was saying no.....and ya know what happens when you try to rape an angel?" Releasing the tight grip on the whip she proceeded to take the handle and smash it into the mans face, it took moments before the bouncers ripped Kat from the man but by the time they did, her victim was badly bloodied and she was fuming, still calling the man everything but his name, which she didnt even care to know at this point.

Kat was taken backstage and addressed that she would not be performing tonight, and she should go take a breather. They informed her that she wasn't fired, she just needed to go home and collect herself. Kat didn't mind this because she was in no mood to shake her hips now. She took off her little outfit and wiped the excessive makeup off her face before sitting down and counting the small amount she made tonight. $100, wasn't bad for the lap dances she did that night, wasn't what she was used to leaving with, but seeing as she didn't dance, it wasn't bad at all. Kat stayed in the back long enough to see Tesla again, she was worried about the girl and wanted to know if she was alright before she went home to see Skye.

After Demi helped Suri up she seemed to fade into the background again, wishing she had a smoke right now, but knowing by the time this was over Pulse would be sucking them down like air. Seeing Pulse grab the knife from her boot, Demi knew she couldn't just sit there, the bartender girl looked far too distressed to let Demi just sit there. After Suri gave the cop another swing that looked like it shattered his nose, Demi came behind Suri and wrapped her arms around the beautiful she-devil, being careful of her hurt arm and not minding the blood.

Demi pressed her lips to her neck and whispered into her ear "Not now, you beautiful she-devil." Giggling when she finally told Pulse her little nickname for her. "We'll plan it, make it look like an accident......there wont be a crowd......show him that girls fight back and no one will know." Demi held her like a vice, guessing she would try to break free, it was plain to see she wanted blood and wouldn't stop till she had it and nobody needed that tonight.

While Demi was holding Suri, the cop made sure to get out of the place. When the other man told the cop exactly what everyone there was thinking, Demi smiled, and it only got bigger when the bartender didn't go with him. After the excuse for a man peeled out of the parking lot, the man embraced the shattered bartender. After Suri's breathing returned to normal, Demi let her go, giving her a half lidded smile. Demi heard the man ask if Suri was ok, the blood was pouring out of the wound in Pulses arm, but she didn't look like it bothered her too much. After a moment, Demi remembered something, something that made her smile grow. "So.....wanna go play?"

Makenzie Williams

Kenzie drove home as smoothly as possible, not to wake her sister, and when she pulled into her parking space she cooed "Were home." After getting in the door, Kenzie went into her room to change into some comfy pajamas and an over sized shirt. Coming out she sat on the couch. When Maxxie returned from taking Bindi out, her little sister copied her actions, curling up with her dog.

Kenzie laughed quietly when her sister asked her if she wanted to watch a movie only to let off a cute little snore seconds later, regardless Kenzie turned on Finding Nemo and relaxed. Since the movie had come out it became one of her favorites, whenever she wanted to relax, she watched this movie. Sadly, though, no matter how many times this movie had worked its magic before, she couldn't get her mind off of that cop and his lies.

Lea Foxx
Lea had returned to her appartement after leaving the note at Cole's car. From the moment she stepped away from the vehicle she felt nervous. She fiercely hoped that he'd soon call her. She couldn't bear all the hours of nervously looking at her phone anymore. It was making her feel a bit shaky all the time. All this anxiety was of course doing no good to the baby inside her. But she didn't even know if Cole would let her keep the baby, so she was very affraid to get too attached to this little creature. Nevertheless, a mother always bonds with an unborn. Maybe it's because they are connected to eachother. It doesn't matter what the mom thinks, they will always share a special bond.

Wandering around her appartement she walked back and forth from the kitchen to the balcony. She couldn't stay still. She stopped at the kitchen, opened a drawer and got a knife out. A big, silver knife. Due the new state of the object its silver blade reflected the light from the lamp. The flash of light landed on her big, pregnant belly and Lea looked at it. She started to cry hysterically and collapsed to the floor. She felt the need to cut. A habit she had quit when she was about 14. She never had the thought of wanting to cut ever since, up until now. Shocked by these extreme thoughts she put the knife back in the drawer. Tears were falling on her face. She was in a state of panic. Grabbing the kitchen counter she managed to get up again. While still holding onto the counter she opened the cupboard. She knew she needed to calm down so she poored herself a glass of orange juice. She took a few sips and she felt a little bit more calm. Suddenly she felt a hot flash coming up so she went to the balcony.

This city, dark but enlightened. She looked at every little detail. The high buildings and hotels. The lights on the streets. The people walking around. Still feeling a bit panicy she looked up to the sky. Luckily it was clear, all the start were visible. The night had always provided her comfort. No matter how many changes and negative things she had to go through, the galaxy always stayed the same. It was her rock, really. It made her forget the here and now. For a moment it made her feel worryless, like she wasn't waiting for the call, and like she wasn't pregnant. Like her life was just easy to life.

But she was rudely awaken from this state. The baby kicked. Lea's eyes opened widely and the feel of panic was all back again. Her muscles tightened and she squeezed her hands. She squeezed so hard she broke the glass she was holding. She screamed loudly. The glass tore her whole hand open and got stuck in the wounds. The juice that was left in it dripped all over her arm forming an emulsion with the blood. It kept on flowing and it wouldn't stop. Lea, still screaming, could feel herself getting light headed. She collapsed and crawled towards the door. It cost her a lot of effort but she managed to open the door. A man who just got out of the elevator saw her lying in the hallway and called out for help.

The next moment Lea opened her eyes and found herself in the hospital. She couldn't clearly recall why she was here. She only knew her head was pounding. She reached for her head but then noticed her hand was covered with bandages. She shocked and looked at it, and all that had happened came back. Immediately she was panicy again, because her phone was still at home. Affraid to miss the call from Cole she jumped out of bed and walked out of the room. Without anyone paying attention she managed to get near the main entrance. She didn't think of the fact that she wore a hospital gown and that people of course would notice that she wasn't supposed to walk out. A nurse approached her:

''What are you doing here?'' she asked Lea

''I.. I need to get my phone. Important call.'' Lea said in a dazy voice

''You've had some serious injuries girl. Go back to the ER.

Lea started to scream. ''No! No! I HAVE to go now.''

Another two nurses came to the scene and they grabbed her. Though Lea tried to wiggle her way out of their grip they managed to get her back to the ER. At this point she was scream hysterically that they should let go of her so they had no other option then to strap her to the bed. In a way it helped, because after ten minutes she was a bit more calm. Maybe it was of the trancalizer they injected, but she felt a bit more relaxed and started to look around her. In front of her she saw a young, lesbian-looking girl with piercings and black hair laying unconsiously on the bed. With nothing better to do, Lea read the sign:

Kat was gathering her things when she was enveloped into the arms of a naked woman, she should have seen her coming in the mirror but she was so lost in thought the sudden touch made her jump. She giggled a little after hearing Tesla thank her, from embarrassment as well as relief. "Glad to see your alright, but no matter how great things are goin, you cant forget to keep your guard up. The hard hands we got don't do nothing, most the time they come to work for a paycheck and a lap dance." She frowned and looked at Tesla in the mirror, she didn't want to sound angry, but her nerves were still on end from what that man almost did to the new stripper.

"You gotta look out for you, cause not many others will. I'll look out for you as long as I can but I doubt I'll get my whip back.....unless they want to make my appeal Dominatrix instead of innocence." Kat giggled "Make me Black Kat instead of Kitten." Kat shook her head and played with her cat ear headband while Tesla counted her money, when Kat heard her whisper 437 Kat smiled, "Just wait till you get your own fans, you'll bring in twice that, if not more. I made $100 tonight, not bad for not dancing, but I didn't get around like I usually do either."

When Tesla handed her the $150 in $1's, $5's and $10's she didn't want to accept it, almost saying there was no need for it, the girl wouldn't be here if she didn't need money, none of these girls would, but she remembered the stack that man had in his hands, the thing that lured her in for him to strike like a snake and invade her. The size of the stack looked about the same in size so she took it. "Thanks hun, and don't mention it, the loser had it comin, but this will help with the down payment. I met a girl this morning and were both lookin to get into an apartment together. She's lettin me crash at her place for now. She seems real nice." she continued with a warm smile on her face "I'll see if she wants to come hang out at Windy City with me next time so you can meet her. Her names Skye." Her face took on a pinkish hue as she continued. "Shes really cute, but shes havin a hard time right now." Kat wasn't sure how Tesla would take her sexuality, most girls she told would freak out right after. Just because she was bisexual didn't mean she wanted to be with every girl she befriended.

Demitria Lawrence

Demi giggled at the thought of playing, but the one more thing made her frown, and Suri was in a dangerous mood and Demi didn't want any more cops getting involved tonight. After Suri went to Cole and headed to her car calling back to her, Demi followed like a puppy on a leash. She craved whatever else Pulse could give her, after going so long without she didn't care if she ended up in a drug induced coma, and playing around will just make it all better.

Getting into Suri's car, Demi laid her wet hair against the seat and felt a pang of guilt the moment she did. She spoke of her guilt in a groan "Your pretty cars gonna be soaked." She looked over to the dealer and pouted for a moment before looking out the dark window. Lightning crashed to the earth in the distance, lighting up the area, a moment or so later thunder rumbled the city. Closing her eyes she slurred "We shouldn't do this yet Pulsssse"

Rolling her head back to the fiery she-devil she opened her mouth. It took a moment before a sound came out. "Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii know the cop is out there and he is pissed as a mother fucker at you, and iiiiiiiiiffffffffff anyone says anything about anything hes gonna be there..........besides...." Demi's demented smile graced her face with a vengeance "Because he didn't pay todaaaaaaay, you can charge interest. a giggle passed her lips before she could continue "He wont have it, so you can beat him twice as bad. Lets go hoooooome you sexy beast and I'll make my body your canvas to do whatever you want with it." Demi bit her lip and hoped Suri would take her bait.

Maria Occheto

She'd paused to listen Daniel speak a final piece following her vague, parting deliverance. Though her head was turned to rest her right cheek upon the matching shoulder, she didn't peer over it. Her eyes remained lowered and heavy as he spoke. "I'll think about it Maria.... I promise I will.... Good night." She knew it was a lost cause, and despite whatever urges she had towards Daniel, she stooped in posture a little and torpidly rubbed a hand against the back of her neck, never daring to look at him again perhaps for the fear that she'd say or do something more.

The ingenue had slunk to the eleventh floor where she would enjoy the instilled silence of the uninhabited level. Daniel weighed heavily on her mind being that he did say he would at least consider what she had proposed. Inner havoc would likely ensue if Big Daddy realized his daughter was meandering to other leagues. She didn't care if she bruised his self respect by throwing money in his face and telling him that Daniel had resigned. What she did care about though, was latently putting Daniel's life on the line.

Among her most recent propositions were thoughts stained with the face of her little sister. The hostility she felt towards Skye hours ago had dissipated into painful sorrow and divulgence. And she even thought for a moment there was a sense of longingness playing on her lachrymose dashboard.

Her corroded thoughts haunted her for hours until she finally decided to shower. After being in the rain nearly half of her night, actual heated water shocked her body. She soaked it up, scrubbed her rigid, slight frame ruthlessly as if it could eradicate how foul she felt, and at last relented. After wrapping herself in a towel she closed the curtains to bade the heinous night adieu. When sleep had taken her, she wasn't even under the palatial silk as she had anticipated before from where she sat in Daniel's passenger seat.

Cole Occheto

Cole chain-smoked in his car, parked adjacent to the rolling, starless hills of farmland. The ugly odor of smoke plastered on his clothes, causing him to gag a few times upon recollection of the ablaze body he'd disposed of. His fingers treacherously searched his pockets and fumbled with an empty carton of cigarettes before he figured he might as well head back. In a last attempt to find one more cancer stick, his fingers found the note.

He really barely remembered the girl, but he wasn't so memory-impaired as to assume he didn't know her at all. He probably met her at a party andā€¦ It all came back at once, the drinking and dancing. In fact it was a night that Jackson and Cole insisted Maria and Aurora have one of those 'girl's' nights. "Lea," he muttered as he punched the number into his phone, letting it ring out until it met the soft, delicate sound of her voicemail recording. He was about to hang up when the recording cued. He kicked the car into drive and began back towards the inner-city, holding the phone in one hand and gripping the steering wheel in the other.

"Lea, it's Cole. I got your note but --- ahā€¦ Uh. If you were nearby why didn't you just come talk to me? I don't know when I'll have some free time so if this is as important as you're insinuating thenā€¦ Well, just call me back." He ended the call abruptly and threw the phone into the passenger seat. 'It's important'. He knew damn well what that meant and if she was serious, he wasn't going to hesitate about getting her to the nearest clinic and financing the entire trip himself.

When he pulled into the dingy parking lot bordering his home, he sighed heavily and looked at his tainted hands. It was well past 2AM and he desperately needed rest. His night had weighed extremely heavily on him despite his ever-handsome-and-charming demeanor. Between Maria, Frank, Skye, Lea, Rosa, Suri and Julian, he felt like his head was spinning at a hundred and ten miles an hour. He was displeased to open the door to an empty home, coming no reply to his Italian opera. He hated sleeping alone and already guilt was overtaking him where Aurora was concerned. Did she already know? Was she done with him? What was he going to do?

He gave himself up to sleep, hoping the next day would prove to be full of new opportunities and better circumstances. After all, it was wishful thinking that kept him going most days. Well, that and Aurora.

Skye Keaton

It was a long night for the doctors as they tried to save the young girls life, surgery took about four hours and the she was put into the ICU. That was four hours ago and the girl still has not woken up. They aren't exactly sure when she will wake up either. She was suffering from many different broken bones, they had to fix some internal bleeding and they were worried that the girl may have some damage in her brain but right now they weren't able to tell. They were still unsure of who the girl was and have notified the police.

"Has she woken up yet?"

"No not yet, still out and still have no idea who she is"

"Well hopefully we will find out soon"

The doctors kept a close eye on her and kept in contact with the police, hoping to hear something. Meanwhile at the Keaton home Skye's mother woken up to a house without her daughter and it got her worrying, she tried to call Skye last night but there was no answer. Shannon walked to her daughters room and opened the door, she sighs seeing the bed made. Shutting the door she makes her way downstairs, as she passes the living room she notices Kat laying on the couch.

She gently shakes the girls shoulder "Katherine, Kat" when she sees the girl wake up she looks down with worried eyes "have you seen Skye, she didn't come home last night and I have tried to call her but no ansaer. This has never happened, she has always come home at night. Have you seen or heard from her? I have a bad feeling.." she started pacing the living room. "Do you think you could call the police...maybe even the hospital? I think I am going to drive around town see if I spot her anywhere."

Suri Desmond

Bright lights flashed through the window waking her up she took a look around, Suri was laying on the floor naked with her arms and legs intertwined around Demi, who was also naked. She only remembered parts of last night but she didn't remember how they got on the floor. All she knows was it was a very wild night, she was so high that she didn't notice Lexi walk in on them.

She leaned over Demi "Demi wakey wakey" she whispered in her lovers ear, nibbling on the girls earlobe as she wrapped her arms around the red headed beauty. "Come on sweetie, if you want any of this you gotta wake up" she moved her hands over Demi's smooth skin "come on lets take a shower". She got up and headed to her nightstand where her phone was, she checked the messages. She read the onw from Cole and shook her head as she sent a text back.

Seems we can't get a fuckin break huh? Ill be there ā™„S

She looked over to Demi "tonight i gotta meet with Cole and them for a meeting Sugar, your welcome to stay here though. Not sure if Cole wants too many people there". She headed to her bathroom and turned on the shower, the door was open as she spoke to Demi "we got some business to attend to today, gotta meet with Jimmy boy and do a few deals". She got into the warm shower and tilted her head back as she let the water flow down on her.

Maxxie Williams

Maxxie woke up to her face being licked by Bindi, she blinked her eyes as she tried to focus. She was curled up on the couch with a blanket on her. "Damnit my medicine" she is susppose to take a pill before she went to bed but she didn't because she fell asleep on the couch. She tried to sit up but she couldn't. She looked to see that Kenzie fell asleep on the opposite side of the couch and her feet were stuck. "Kenzie wake up I forgot my meds" she wiggled until she was able to get free. She then headed to her room and got out her medication, after she took her meds she went and let Bindi out.

When she came back in she headed for the kitchen and started to scrounge for food. It was then that she heard her work phone ring, she grabbed it from the counter and answered. "Maxine Williams here...ah yes hello, yes Makenzie plans to go to Buca's today I believe...ah wow okay, we will get ready and come down to the office...okay see you soon". She hung up her phone and wento the living room.

"Kenzie we got to go to the office today, Agent Harrow said they got some information from one of their informants about the Occeto case and wants to talk to us before you go and try to get a job at Buca's. Looks like we will have to stop and dunkin donuts". Maxxie headed to her room and put on a pair of black pants and a white blouse, for shoes she chose a pair of black flats. Once she was ready she headed to the kitchen and grabbed her bag and phones and waited for Makenzie to be finished.

Kat perked up when Tesla said she might have met Skye, and she was about to continue the conversation when Tesla was called back to the stage. After the girl left, Katherine gathered her things and left the Windy City through the back entrance, she had a hand on her pepperspray just in case that man hadn't left like everyone thought he had, but she made it to her car safely. She slipped her "weapon into her purse and drove out of the parking lot, headed to the Keaton household, plagued the whole way there weather she would tell Skye about the man who's face she rearranged or not, but she would bring up Tesla. Both the women in her life were equally beautiful, and she felt a bond with both of them, but what she felt for each girl, she was unsure of......and she didn't know how they felt for her......but the question she was more afraid of what how they knew each other.

Pulling onto the street she turned her lights off and all but crept towards the house. It was late and she didn't want to wake anyone. Kat crossed the lawn after she parked and found the house unlocked. Weather or not that was a sign of something, she didn't know. She removed her shoes and decided it would probably be in everyones best interest if she slept on the couch. Skye needed her sleep after the last few days she had had, and Kat didn't want to wake Shannon to ask if they had a guest bedroom or not. Kat didn't realize how tired she was until she curled up on the couch, her body almost melting into the fabric.....it felt so good to just lay there.

It felt as if she had just closed her eyes when she felt a tense hand shaking her shoulder, then heard a panicing voice call out her name, then her nickname. Her eyes flashed open, it took some effort to sit up but she managed, looking to the worried woman she all but croaked "Shannon.....whats wrong?" Her eyes followed the nervous mother as she paced, and she shook her head when she was asked if she had seen her. A rock was forming in Kat's gut ash she listened, almost like the mothers worry was being shared with her.

When Skye's mother ask her to start calling the police and the hospitals she shook her head "Of course.....and can i get your number just in case I find her?" After she programmed Shannon's number into her phone she got on the phone with the police, Shannon had disappeared in a matter of seconds. When someone finally answered Kat let out a breath she hadnt known she had been holding, she found her voice and asked "Hello? I'm looking for someone, I don't know if you'll be able to help me, but My room mate hasn't been home in two days." She was lieing, but she knew that the police didn't care about missing persons until they've been gone for 48 hours. "She's just barely over 18, so I know she has a right to be wherever she wants to be, but usually she calls and lets me know whats going on. Can ya help me? Her mother and I are really worried."

"Well we can try sweetheart" The police officer had a heavy chicago accent which she instantly found annoying, but she was in Chicago, she wondered why she would have expected any different. The man continued on "We just need a description from ya"

Kat nodded her head even though there was no one there to see her. "Ok, her name is Skye Keaton, S-K-Y-E K-E-A-T-O-N" she spelled to the officer "She has long black hair and several piercings..."

It was here that the officer cut her off "Pretty little thing, looks like a late teen? Skinny as a rail?"

Kat bit her tongue when she went to oppose to the way the officer was talking about Skye "Yeah, thats her"

"Yeah we found 'er alright. She just showed up on the hospital floor, banged up pretty bad" He went on telling her where the hospital was located as Kat's anger mixed with gratitude for the cops rude helpfulness. She turned her words into daggers as she thanked him and was practically on the phone with Shannon before she'd hung up on the officer.

"Shannon, I found her! She's in the hospital" She gave the terrified woman the directions she'd received from the officer as she sped towards the location "I'm a few streets away, see ya when ya get here"

After parking she practically sprinted into the hospital and looked at the woman behind the counter. "I'm here for Skye Keaton......I'm her sister" She lied again. The woman just gave her a puzzling look "Who?" Kat rolled her eyes....there was no time for this "The cop I talked to said she showed up here on the floor. I'm her sister, is she ok?"

As she waited for the nurse to answer, Shannon joined her at the counter, Kat jumped in "This is our mom....now please can ya tell us where she is?"

Demi slept wonderfully, tangled up with Pulse, tangled up in Suri, her dreams replaying glimpses of passion from last night, well, the ones she remembered anyway. When Suri called to her to wake, she groaned in defiance, but when she felt teeth on her ear she hummed happily and pulled the girl back to the floor, nuzzling into her. "I don't believe you!!!" with a giggle she kissed whatever her lips pressed against first as she kept her eyes closed. If the day had come to part the women then Demi wanted the night forever, and when Suri ran her hands over her bare flesh, she thought she would agree.

After a moment though Demi felt the warm flesh she clung to like a life preserver slide beneath her fingertips until there was nothing and she groaned "You beautiful she-devil, bring your tattooed ass back here so I can cuddle some more." but she had a feeling her protests would fall on deaf ears. She heard Pulse texting for a moment before she was informed that Cole wanted to meet with her. When Pulse said she could stay at her place she smiled "Don't think I got anywhere else to be, they don't got girls like you anywhere else and if I leave ya might disappear." She meant the statement as a joke, but there was truth scattered everywhere through it, like leaves in the woods.

When she heard Suri turn the water on in the bathroom she rolled onto her stomach and groaned again into the floor, she listened as she was told that they would be dealing with Jimmy today as well as a few more deals, she smiled as she thought of all the things they could have done to the man who was unwilling to pay. Hearing the water hit something other than the bottom of the tub, she assumed that Suri had gotten in. It took he two seconds to realize she was retarded for not joining her there, and next thing she knew she had her arms around the tattoo goddess "I don't think you understand how evil you have become, leavin me there on the floor like that, you really are a Heartless bitch." Her voice dripped with sarcasm and the giggle that chased her words carried the affection she dared not speak. Semi placed a kiss on her neck, letting her lips linger on the spot a moment longer because the moment she moved them she knew the water would chase away the lovers mark. The warmth of the water was a monster all its own though, and Demi allowed that monster to swallow her and her lover whole.

Makenzie Williams

When Maxxie wiggled to get free, she accidentally kneed Kenzie in the back, she groaned "Go take em then." before she got up enough to let her sister up. After a moment Makenzie sat up and rubbed her eyes lazily, mumbling to herself as she did "Been awhile since I did that one." She hadn't slept on the couch since her old friends sweet 16. When Maxxie made her way to let Bindi out, Kenzie slipped into her room to get ready for the day.

She was dressing for an interview today, she intended to try for a job at Buca. She searched around her room until she found a nice little blue shirt that went nicely with some black dress pants. Kenzie was pulling on her heels when she heard Maxxie call for her, opening the door she was informed they were going to the office before she was to go to Buca's. When her sister mentioned Dunkin Donuts, Kenzie laughed "You'd live there if you could." Kenzie knew Maxxie loved the place, and there was a time when that was all she wanted for breakfast. They would go there for days upon days on the way into school, but Kenzie didn't mind. She loved their coffee.

The nurse dialed a number "Sir I believe the family for the Jane Doe are here....okay I will let them know...mmm....yes I won't say anything...okay, thank you Sir" she put the phone down and looked at Katherine and Shannon. "If you take a seat in the waiting room the Doctor will be down to see you" she pointed to the chairs over to the right.

Shannon leaned over the counter "I want to see my daughter and I want to see her now". The nurse looked at Shannon once more "Ma'am I told you the doctor....." A man came over to them "the doctor is right here". Shannon turned to face the doctor "what happened to my Skye...my daughter". The doctor looked around "Ma'am how about we go sit down" she followed the doctor over to the waiting room chairs with Kat and sat down.

"Last night we had a young girl, we believe to be around seventeen or eighteen, get dropped off in front of the ER doors in very critical condition. We had to take her into surgery, she has four rib fractures, a broken arm, had a dislocated shoulder, a ruptured knee cap, and a broken foot. She also had some internal damage but we were able to fix that, what we are worried about is her head. We believe she somehow hit her head pretty badly, we won't know the extent of the damage until she wakes up, which we are unsure when because at this moment she is in a coma".

Shannon took Kat's hand and squeezed it, tears flowing down her cheeks "do you have any idea what happened to her?" The doctor shook his head "unfortunately we don't but once we wake up we will hopefully find out." Shannon looked to Kat then the doctor "I want to see my daughter, please let me see her". The doctor stood up and ushered them to the elevator after they got to the fourth floor Shannon followed the doctor down the hallway and they stopped in front of one room. The room had a glass door in front of it and a number five over the door. The doctor looked at Shannon and Katherine "remember, she is in pretty critical condition".

The doctor then open the door and let Shannon and Katherine in the room, in the bed Skye laid there unmoving and unconscious, she had many wires and tubes connected to her. Shannon let go of Kat's hand and went over to Skye's right aide and pulled a chair over. She sat down and held Skye's hand "Skye, honey, Mami's here now. You just need to wake up now" she pushed some of Skye's hair out of her face and kept her eyes on her daughter.

Suri Desmond

Feeling warm arms encircle her made Suri let out a content sigh, hearing what Demi said made her chuckle "well they don't call me Heartless for nothing Sugar, anyways I told you I was getting up. All you had to do was follow" she felt Demi kiss against her neck and she let the girl have her way with her "and you did just what I wanted you to do". She turned around and engulfed Demi in her arms, trailing kisses down the girls chest.

Thirty minutes later she got out of the shower, giving Demi a smirk before she pulled a towel around herself and headed for her closet in her bedroom. After ten minutes of looking through her clothes she finally found an outfit and got dressed. She decided to leave her hair down and put a headband around her head. She decided to wear some jewlery today, a big cross necklace laid down on her chest between her breasts.

Image

After she was dressed she looked over to Demi "wear whatever you want doll I am going to go get the things I meed for our business today". She left the room and headed down to her office room. Inside she opened up her safe and took out two guns and four knives which she hid among her clothes. She grabbed her bag of drugs and locked the safe back up. She left the room and stopped at the spare room, she knocked on the door a couple times, getting no answer she opened it to see Lexi wasn't there. Taking out her phone she dialed the girls number and called her but it went right to voicemail. "Damnit I have no time for this today".

She went out to the kitchen and made herself a cup of coffee as she waited for Demi to be ready, she already had some drugs on the counter for Demi. She knew the girl was probably already in need of them.

The hastening sun took no time in rising up beyond sky scrapers to awaken the city and just as Cole had shut the door, Jackson commented, "Yeah, drunk." and then was already rambling some nonsense.

"Your sister waltzed off into the rain last night with that fucking Chinese dork and on top of that I had to deal with some Russian putz giving Martin all kinds of grief. Where the fuck were you? Better yet, where the hell was your dad? Why was every piece of the family coincidentally gone last night? You got something to tell me?"

Cole's eyes were bitter and cold, reminiscing of the prior night, "That entire piece of dialogue was bizarrely racist." He collapsed into a chair and took a hearty drag from his cigarette as though he were drawing from it in an attempt for some food for thought, some idea as to what to say. Then, he put the cigarette out and rendered any gentle attempt useless as he stood, "Let's go upstairs, I gotta clean up and tell you a whole mess of stories concerning last night. You might need a drink after I'm through."

Laughing, Jackson followed Cole then down the open hallway which tempted him to peek into Maria's room as he passed; the sunlight stabbed through her lavender curtains, a familiar sight. He hated himself for not being able to abandon his recollections and feelings towards her.

Shoving the door open, Cole went to his closet and grabbed a pair of boots. Jackson plopped onto his friend's bed, pushing up and down on the mattress, "How can you not sleep in this bed?" The indigo-eyed Occheto boy jerked his head back to look at Jackson and replied, "I think I have insomnia man. Something like that at least."

"I think alcohol just has reverse effects on you," Jackson snorted, "So tell me now,"
"Relax princess. So you remember when that guy jumped out the window?"
"Ah, the infiltrator!" Jackson grinned, "Yep, find him?"
"Yeah, turns out he goes back. Frank Russo. He knows us. Was plotting some revenge via disemboweling my father's past."
"ā€¦ English, Cole." Jackson rolled his eyes, comprehending but sick of the blue-collar lingo.
"The new waitress with all that shit in her faceā€¦ She was getting involved with Frank. Turns out Frank dug up her family roots and after some impressive research revealed bank statements. My dad has been putting money in that girl's account for a long time. Parental duty I guess. You follow?"

Charcoal eyes widened and stripped themselves of their glassy, hungover despondency. Yet no other apparent emotion was shown as Jackson looked into his friend's face gravely, "You have another little sister? Shit! I knew that girl looked familiar. She sorta' looks like Maria. Damn, does she know?" Jackson extended his legs, leaning forward to prop his elbows on his knees with anxious anticipation almost like a schoolgirl.

"Maria? Fuck yeah she knows dude. She was on my ass, creeping when I was spying on Frank and Skye at the Hard Bean. Weird, right? I only went to try and talk to Skye because I heard she was running her mouth a little too freely about Buca. All this shit went down real fast and I tried to get ahold of Skye before she got in her car and left and then before I know it, Frank's got a gun to Maria and walking her outside too. Then Joe shows up, all out of the blue, and I shoot Frank. Only in the leg, I didn't wanna' kill him. Goes down," Cole made a plummeting, generic whistling sound as he dove his hand downward to mimic Frank's body, "And Maria's on top of him, jamming her fingers in the wound and torturing him. Then she kisses him," Cole's brow creased, "And she says something I didn't hear. But anyway, all this going on, and my dad shows up and calls out to Mae and she gets up with her gun, and Frank's and aims down my dad. Joe tried to stop her and it only made shit worse, then she's aiming two guns at two different men."

Stiffening, Jackson sat up. He pulled his arms back behind him for his palms to cradle his head as he forced his mind to intercept the the in-stream of new, crazy knowledge Cole was spouting, "So what then? Did she shoot your dadā€¦?" He couldn't begin to register what was going to happen if Big Daddy was murdered by his one and only, precious little 'Donna Maria' as Martin had put it perfectly the night before. It was ironic though to hear it, and somehow Jackson wouldn't be too dumbfounded if some harm came onto Antonio from his daughter.

"She wanted to, but she didn't. Instead she turned around and blasted Frank. Blew his brains out at close range then stood up and snuck my dad right in the face. I mean really got him good. He looked like he wanted to hit her back and then I told her to leave. I told her to just go. She left and my dad starts babbling about how 'someone has to pay'. I looked at him like he was fuckin' brain dead and reamed him the fuck out for raising his hand to Mae like that no matter how pissed he was. You know? He was just pissed he got caught. And I could care less about him lying and hiding a little sister from me, man. It doesn't surprise me."

Stricken and stained with the bizarre impression from the night before, Cole's mind seemed to stop pumping out cogent or reliable thoughts as he paused and zoned out while he forced boots onto his feet. To this, Jackson inched off the bed more and tilted his head, literally on the edge of his seat, "Is there more?"

Scoffing, Cole arrived promptly back to reality, "I forgot to tell you about the note, too. Found a note on my windshield from that girl Lea we met at the party fuckin' - man it was so long ago I don't even remember. But she's pregnant - I can't, I don't evenā€¦" Cole grunted as he tried not to let the concerns get the better of his thoughts, "Anyway I um - loaded up the body after Mae dipped and then I hear this ā€¦ noise. Turn around to see Skye was trying to get away and got nailed by a car. She was completely out when I picked her up, but then I remember I have a fuckin' cop's body in my trunk and asked the driverā€¦ Stupid I know: to take her to the hospital as a Jane Doe basically. Then I dip out and figure I should get a drink to get me calmed down."

Jackson nodded, understanding at least that tidbit. Had he been in Cole's shoes he would need more than just a drink, he'd need a truckload of bottles and to be safely distanced from everyone, "Did she get to the hospital alright? Did you check on her at least?"

As he paced to the window to force it open wider, Cole riposted flatly, "No. When I got to the bar off of Cotton I see Suri, some random redhead, Rosa and Julian all scrapping over something or another. I couldn't fucking believe it man, all that, and then running into another mess. He was man handling Sur and Rosa like they were ragdolls and I barely stopped my car before I got out. I wanted to beat his ass but he belted up and took off. You can tell we have different blood lines." Cole grumbled and chuckled at the same time, "Rosa didn't want to be bothered with my lecture and Suri was alright so I went to Spokes to get rid of the body."

"Spokes? Damn man, that's how you know shit got real last night. You went to the hills to get rid of it. You're scared of someone findin' out." Jackson stood up and pushed the door open a little more, "Let's go have a smoke outside and get some fresh air or somethin'." Relenting slightly, Cole nodded and said, "Yeahā€¦ Wonder what my pops is up to. Scared to know, though."

The two trailed back into the kitchen where Cole was a little perturbed to see Aurora shuffling the cabinets around and undoubtedly planning breakfast as usual. She didn't hear anything, did she? Shit, there was no way. He wasn't talking that loud.

"There she is," Cole breathed as he swept her up into his arms and kissed her head, "be back in in a few babe." Once outside, Cole inhaled sharply as a cool breeze met his bare skin. "Cover up your titties with a training bra or something," Jackson jabbed as he lit up a cigarette.

Image
Cole shivered, causing his abdominal muscles to tense up. "We gotta' go to Windy City tonight and see what kind of shit we're up against - heard there's been some drama and suspicious looking dudes." As he stood, trembling in the nippiness of the morning, he clumsily typed a text to Martin:
Think you'll be up to spying tonight? Heard you had a run-in last night with the ol' boy Vlad. I had one or two myself with Julian and his fiance. Believe that? Anyway, let me know.

Maria Occheto

Image
She must have been falling in and out of sleep for the past two hours, she roughly recalled as she sat up only about halfway to look at the city beyond the windows. Her dark hair pooled by her lower back from where she laid on her side, peering at the metropolis scape, river, and city bridge. Open from her brief waking moment earlier, the curtains sagged a little inwardly but ultimately did not fall. Lazily, she laid back down and tugged at the white linen draped around her waist.

With a blind reach for her phone, she surprisingly got lucky as she grasped it and scrolled through her contacts. "Kazuki Takahashi," she read aloud, and as foreign as it may have sounded to anyone else, it sounded right to her. She always liked to keep her address book formal. It would probably stir up silent questioning, but she did it anyway as she pumped out a text:
Did you think about my offer any more?
P.S. Do you have plans tonight aroundā€¦ let's say, 5:30ish?

Maria

He probably, well - certainly didn't have her number. Something told her she should have been more concerned with her newfound family member but she continued to repress the reminders of the situation into dark, uninhabited corners. It was painful to say the least and since the conversation with Daniel last night ended up pulling in tides concerning her late mother she was having some trouble thinking directly into the heart of her problems as it was still too tender to poke at.

Kat was about to jump down the nurses throat for withholding information, but wasn't surprised to see Shannon beat her to it. Theres something inside all mothers, a hidden trait, one minute you could be talking to a sweet woman, then something happens to her child, and your dealing with a lioness out for blood. It was something only mothers understood, everyone respected, and the one on the other side of the woman wrath, it was a thing to be feared. The nurse was lucky the doctor had walked in when he did.

Kat followed Shannon and the doctor to the chairs in the waiting room, letting the woman grip her hand as the bad news was given. Wondering if those people...The Occhetos, were the ones who did this to her.....after all, a little over 24 hours ago, the girl who now lay in a hospital bed was warning her of them.....Kat rubbed her thumb against the woman's hand, tryin to make it less painful, an impossible effort. The injuries that poured from the doctors lips scared even Kat, and she had just walked into the girls life, obviously 24 hours could do a lot to a person, this small family had opened their hearts to her while she was just a stranger, the woman at her side had welcomed her into her home and fed her, no questions asked.

Kat could have left them there, walked out of their life as quickly as she'd entered, but she wouldn't. She looked at the woman who's heart was breaking just as she had looked her way, before Kat followed her gaze back to the doctor, and her stomach filled with nerves as Shannon asked to see Skye. After being lead to the elevator and rising to the fourth floor they were led to the ICU, down a hallway and to a glas door with the number 5 over it. 5 was Kat's favorite number......well, it used to be...

After the door had been opened, the two entered, Skye looked beaten and broken, the tubes making the scene even more heartbreaking. As Shannon left her side to be at Skye's, Kat's feet felt like they'd been cemented into the floor, all she could do was stare as Shannon pleaded with her daughter to wake up.

Demitria Lawrence

Demi smiled when Pulse told her that she did just what she wanted her to, and when Suri turned around and took her into her arms, her lips trailing down her chest. Hints of last night had clearly followed them into the shower, and 30 minutes later, it was questionable weather the girls had gotten clean at all. Stepping out of the shower she caught Pulse smirking at her as she wrapped a towel around herself. All of the clothes she had at Pulse's place was in the spare room, and considering the other girl was staying in there she was left with what the rehab center had given her, that was a problem she didn't want to deal with.

Demi's high was long gone by then, she just didn't want to say anything to Pulse, she was a dealer, and she also supported her own habits, Demi wasn't sure how much she could spare. Pulse interrupted her thoughts when she turned to her, looking amazing, as always, and told her she could raid her closet. When she said she was going to get things for business, Demi began to look through all the outfits "Alright." It took her a while before she found a little black and white corset and a small mini skirt to match:

After shimmying into it she made her way out into the kitchen, looking for her other weakness, Cuties. "Pulse, do you have any.....ohhhhhh" she stopped mid sentence when she saw that Demi already had some pills out for her, smiling she took them, making herself a cup of coffee to help wash them down "You. Are. A. Goddess!! But anyways, do you have any cuties?" Biting her lip she hoped that Pulse would say yes, she knew she was in for it though, Pulse loved to tease her about her favorite snack and what she called them.

For once it felt like Chicago went undimmed as the ivory illustration of the city spun around Jackson and Cole. Snorting, Jackson tugged at his jacket and commented, "You better get ahold of Maria before she does some stupid shit. I hate to tell you what to do - you just know how she gets. She's, you know, she - she operates on a completely different level than we do. Don't give her too much time to think or she could put everyone in a lot of trouble."

His pale eyes glanced at his own phone in response to Cole's finger-tapping on the display. Contemplating whether or not to get ahold of his ex himself he shook his head then returned the phone to its hiding place in his pocket with almost a look of defeat painting itself on his face. His muscles jerked beneath his clothing, too eager to bust someone's head or do something, anything. Last night he had let way too much shit slide and it was no one's fault but his own. With the current state of affairs, he felt obligated to do a lot more than he had been, and there would be no more of his feelings getting the better of him.

Cole shifted uneasily at a response he got from Martin. On top of what he had just found out about his cousin's fiance, he was irked that Jackson was telling him to go fetch his sister. Suspecting that Jackson just wanted Mae where he could see her and guard her, he dismissed it.

Squinting into the sunlight, he thought it best to keep his mouth closed until it was all figured out. He technically had no moral commitment to Rosa but when it came to a female being mishandled and maltreated, his skin crawled. She could have come home with him - he could have taken her anywhere she wanted. But she slunk off into the night to configure a plan without the help of the Occheto's or their associates. Women and their pride.

What could Cole really have expected? He worked in a business that was overpopulated with stubborn women who thought they were all-knowing and constantly insisted that their way was the sensible way. Like Maya, brilliantly sexy yet painfully easy. And Suri, irresistible and lethal with a tendency to violence. Then there was Mariaā€¦ Yet, he couldn't put his sister into words. And Rosa, well, she was just plain old intriguing with her fawn skin and playful teasing. Had he been as bitter as Jackson, he may have thought Rosa deserved whatever landed her in the hospital. But he didn't. Cole wasn't that calloused.

He responded promptly to Martin's text while shrugging at Jackson, "She'll be fine. I'll call her in a few and see what she's up toā€¦ I should probably swing by Memorial to check in on Skye and - yeah, see skye." Cole hit send as his jaw hardened, hoping Martin would be there when he arrived:
I can't afford any more of this bullshittery man. I'll see you soon, stay put.

"Stay here with Aurora and be on top of your listening game. You have a tendency to zone out and not pay attention. If she says anything that might sound like she knows, tell me man. Do me this solid. I'll be back by six and if I'm not I'll meet you at the club."

With a shrug, Jackson agreed and flicked his cigarette onto the pavement carelessly. At his height, the shadows that casted from beneath him and onto the cement were petrifying in size. "Just be careful I guess dude." Jackson started back towards the front door while Cole slid into his car, reaching behind him to grab a spare tee shirt. Once he pulled on a plain gray pocket tee, he turned out onto the road and followed a string of traffic lights until he reached the phenomenally big hospital.

He jogged to the front desk, smacking the surface with anxiousness. It wasn't his intention to be rude or obnoxious but he definitely had an obligation towards Skye. "Hi, looking for Skye Keaton? She's my little sister." It suddenly didn't sound foreign or feel weird to say it as he embraced the idea of having another sibling to look after. But inwardly he was a self proclaimed failure of a big brother, especially after all the things he allowed to happen. The CNA behind the counter peered out from the side of her computer, lowering her glasses and requesting that he sign in and provide ID. He did as he was told, was directed to her room and disappeared down the hall before the CNA could say, "She's stable butā€¦ not in the best condition."

When he burst through the door of the sanatorium's patient room where Skye was located, he ignored everything else around him and sunk at her bedside, on his knees. Her dark hair fell all around her face, bruised and battered from the car 'accident'. Little hands curled at her sides, littered with IVs and tubes. "God dammit," he swallowed a lump in his throat uneasily.

Skye Keaton

Shannon stayed by Skye's side for most of the morning and afternoon, doctors and nurses made their ways in and out checking on Skye's progress but the young girl just layed there. Her body moved but it was unintentionally, she looked like she was just in a deep sleep but Shannon knew she could not wake up her baby girl. Around two in the afternoon one of the nurses convinced Shannon to get something to eat and take a walk. Shannon looked over to Kat "keep me company? I don't want to be alone". The blonde agreed and they both headed towards the door, she took once last look of Skye before walking down the corridor.

Shannon and Kat went down to the cafetaria and Shannon got a sandwhich and some coffee and took a seat at the table, trying to figure out what to do about Skye and how to figure out what exactly happened. A soft sigh escaped her lips and she closed her eyes, taking a sip of the warm beverage that was in her hands. Before she knew it an hour has almost passed "I need to get back to Skye" she said as she got up, taking her uneaten sandwhich with her. She took the stairs and slowly walked up them back to Skye's fllor, when she got to the glass door she saw another person at Skye's side, she has yet to tell anyone what happened and this guy looked a little too familiar.

Shannon walked through the doors like a mother bear protecting her cub "who the hell are you?" she demanded looking at the guy "I haven't told anyone what happened to my baby so you knew she was here. Was it you that did this to my little girl? Your connected to Him aren't you?" she eyed him carefully "only fammily is allowed in here so I ask that you best be leaving boy". She looked at Skye and went to the girls other side and sat down, taking her daughters small hand in her own"please wake up baby, your all I have" she whispered softly.

Maxxie Williams

Once Kenzie was ready Maxxie headed out the door and to the car, she wasn't really a fan of driving so she always let her sister drive while she played with the radio and watched things outside the window. They were both quiet on the ride, her sister stopped at dunkin donuts and they both got a bagel and a drink, hers was decaf because she didn't handle caffeinated drinks that well. Kenzie pulled back onto the road and drove towards the office, the car squealed as Kenzie stopped the car quickly. What Maxxie saw in front of her made many questions come to her mind, crouched in the firelane near the road was Maria Occhetto, the girl she met yesterday at the Bistro and also the girl whose family they were after. "Kenz thats Maria Occheto" she rolled down her window as Kenze drove by, glancing at the girl, she almost had her sister stop the car but she knew they couldn't do anything that might blow their cover.

Kenzie drove to the office and parked the car, they both got out and headed inside. Stopping to show their badges before they were let further in, they were escorted to a conference room and a few other people were in there plus the chief. "Agent Maxine Williams, Agent Makenzie Williams thank you for joining us. If you could take a seat we will get started". The girls took a seat at the round table and Maxxie took out a notebook and pen, opening to a fresh page she listened as the Chief began informing them of the information they obtained.

"Yesterday we had a young woman come in and accuse Antonio Occheto of rape...now this is not the first time this has happened, this is the seventh girl to come in and tell us Mr.Occeto raped them. They each were able to give accurate descriptions of the man and information that might help us with the overall of taking the Occetos down. Now I know Agent Makenzie Williams will be going undercover to dig more information up, Agent Maxine I think maybe you should check out Windy City as maybe a bystander, see if there is any messy business going on there. That is all for now."

Maxxie looked over to Makenzie, knowing she wouldn't like her going to Windy city but she didn't mind, that means she can do something rather then sitting home while her sister gets all the action. "Thank you Chief we will get as much information we could. One thing you may want to do is keep an eye on Officer Julian, he seems a little too close to the Occhetos." The chief eyes her but said nothing as Maxxie turned to Kenzie "your going to Bucas right? Ill walk to Windy City, I don't think its too far from here". Before her sister could argue she gave her sister a hug before walking outside and to the car, she grabbed some clothes from the trunk and went back inside and changed into a pair of jeans and a white top, with a blue jacket and scarf. Once she looked less like an agent and more just like a normal woman she brough her other clothes back to the car and then started walking down the street to Windy City.

Cole Occheto

They'd removed the majority of Skye's piercings for whatever procedures they had to administer. Her face was peaked and washed out, drained of life and that certain zest she usually had. It wasn't until this point that he really felt like he could cry. But he stifled it, gripping the rail of the hospital bed and uttering painful words, "Skye I - I'm so sorryā€¦ I - you know I just don'tā€¦ Evenā€¦" His hand lightly grasped hers, engulfing the tiny frail bones.

"Who the hell are you?" Cole let his little sister's hand go seemingly no sooner than he had held it in his own. "I'm her brother." He said blatantly, his sorrow exiting through his mouth as he spat with disdain. "You're connected with him aren't you?" Cole rolled his shoulders, he couldn't afford anymore stressors. At his height, he loomed over Skye's mother. Cold cerulean eyes peered at the woman, "Yeah, get told I have the same eyes all the time. Weird because - she does too." He pointed to Skye.

The woman's retorts were called for but Cole couldn't reason with it as his anger welled in his throat. "Boy? You're certainly not my motherā€¦ who would probably be rolling over in her grave if she knew that you were screwing around with my dad while she was at home taking care of the family they made together." Morally he probably owed Skye's mother some explanation but nothing else came as he shoved past the woman, leaving the room without a word.

Faded green and ivory walls closed in on him as he rounded a corner, irritable and strained with guilt. His boots thudded against the tile floor as he checked his texts and followed the arrows plastered on signs to get to the cafeteria.

Off to the side drinking tea with a wrinkled nose was Martin. Well that was easy, Cole mentally noted. He strode over, tossing his phone onto the table as he plopped into a chair and rubbed his temples, "How's Rosa?" For a few moments he cradled his head and breathed in slowly, mentally preparing himself for what he had to inform Martin of, in the most condensed way possible.

Jackson Hughes

Jackson had gone inside just in time to miss Aurora. He could hear her upstairs fussing with laundry and muttering something to herself. Rubbing his head fervently, he started up the stairs and followed the sound of her tiny voice.

When he got to her, her shoulders were tight as she punched a number into her phone. Playfully Jackson stepped around to face her, abruptly musing, "Whatcha' doin'?" From the look on little Aurora's face he could tell she by no means expected anyone to interrupt her. Lowering his head, he mockingly put his fingers to his lips, "Important? I'll be quiet," but then she ended the call and proceeded with the laundry.

She was off to the kitchen again in no time, he high-tailed it to stay in step with her. Was he making it too obvious? He stopped short of the kitchen, standing in the doorway and inhaling the scent of bacon. "Smells good," he said gingerly, turning to go back to the couch and collapse on it. Kicking his feet up, he wondered if she had ever truly forgiven him for aiming her down and letting a bullet rip through her shoulder. In spite of the dispassionate person he often was and portrayed himself to be, he never quite forgave himself flora that incident.

Maria Occheto

Cars slowed as they neared Maria, hunkered down in the street in a meditative state. Shaking her head, she tugged at her ponytail and remained close to the ground as the hum of engines infiltrated the air. She didn't look up. Thinking back to Cole's text, she had to ponder just what exactly was in store for her that night and if she could stomach it. Self-destruction idly played background noise in her mind while the subconscious region brooded on the collapse of her father's contemptible dynasty.

Her iPhone jittered in the pocket of her new pants. Tugging it out with her thumb and forefinger, the small amount of force almost threw off the balance that was centered in her heels. To her feet, she sighed and reviewed the message from Daniel.

Where work etiquette was concerned, Daniel was admirably punctual. As far as casual encounters and prospectively awkward or uncomfortable situations, she didn't expect much. Besides, when weighing the two, the zealous young translator would more than likely put his work load first. The way she saw it, she had at least an hour to kill. Her hands reached to stretch out the billowing seams of the tank top she'd recently purchased. "I'll just go grab something else," she suggested to herself and began walking towards a sister boutique of 'Oh La La!' that wasn't but two blocks away.

It didn't take long upon her entrance for her to find the perfect thing for the weather. As much as she'd wanted to buy a new dress for the evening at Windy City, she didn't anticipate the meeting to be too jubilant, so why celebrate by buying an outfit for it? Snagging a white sweater, a large necklace, sunglasses, and an oversized pocketbook, she scurried to the cash register.

"Don't bag it," she'd said as they rung it up, she had every intention of wearing it that minute. The tank top didn't suit the atmospheric conditions and she was cold.

She strutted back to the hotel, occasionally jogging at cross-streets in her heels to get to her destination. When near to the Sheraton, she slowed and gradually walked down the sidewalks, fiddling with her phone to text Daniel back:
I'll be waiting!
