The Bus started moving as the Humvee took the lead, The Seven Buses and Three Military Trucks moved on down the empty I 50 Highway. The metal cans slowly humming as they carried the max capacity of their hulls. They reached the other side of the Gates of Gunnison. Bullets were heard off in the distance. Motormen could be seen setting up and firing toward the Campus nearby. Some civilians in the buses watched as the small rounds fly up into the air and land down on campus.. Some exploding on the buildings. As more soldiers raced off toward the engaged area. Who knows how man soldiers flung themselves at the now advancing horde.

The Convoy drove past the gate drove up the Highway on a slant up the mountain. The drivers have difficulty churning their engines up the hillside. They reached a hilltop, going back down, rolling through the Black Valley. The Shining Convoy picked up in speed, going down into the Valley. The road slanted back into a reasonable level. Giving the buses a good speed of 60 Miles per hour. Churning on down the road, the smell of the dead started to fade.

As about an Houring Passing, Darren was looking at his watch and looking off to the left alot. His eyes going back to his watch and were the bus was compared to his right. Then Darren was about to get up gripping the rail, when as he was doing it, He heard a crash from in-front of them. The Bus jerked to a hault, almost sending Darren flying forward, if he didn't hold on that is. The Humvee in front had slid on the road as a car that crashed earlier had spilled its oil across the Highway. Plenty of cars were trashed across the Highway. Many piling up... More than usual. The soldiers got out and tried to pull thier truck of of the ditch they had gotten themselves into. The Bus driver in bus 1 started shouting at the men. "Heyya'lll Youmadaadoin'overder ... Gett'cha asses movin, weved gotta get'dem people oudda'here." He was slurring his words I rage. He seemed awfully calmer in Gunnison. However his thick Louisiana accent was pulling at out of his throat worse than it was before.

Darren rolled his eyes. "Hey... Driver... let me out this is my stop." The Driver stopped his yelling out the window, turning to Darren.
"You'shure boy... I don't want to leave ya indanger..." Darren nodded.
"I'm sure I'm safe." He said. The bus driver shrugged and was about to open the door, when he heard a thumping off in the distance.

'Thump Thump, Thump Thump, Thump Thump Thump!' It was coming from the woods to the right. The ground started to shake. Darren looked to the right seeing something running from the woods. Instantly a Large massive man deformed beyond all reason. He was huge, and was gunning toward the Bus. Darren could already tell that this thing was in no way human. The creature as large as a small car slammed into the bus. Sending it crashing and falling to the left. The bus fell on its side, people flying at hitting the roof.

The creature. Otherwise known as a tank, raced off toward the other buses doing far worse. People could be heard screaming and wailing as the brute smacked against the roofs. The two humvees in the back set fire to the Big Cancerous Monster. More moaning could be heard from the woods. Darren slowly got up and crawled toward the roof emergency exit. He kicked it open and stepped outside. A little bit of blood trickling from his forehead. His glasses were broken too. He grabbed his glasses and tossed them off his face. "Its alright, Ive got spare at home." He said. Getting up slowly. He heard more zombies from behind hurrying toward the buses. "This is a place as good as any, The Shelter is not that far off." He reached for his pistol and loaded the ammo. He started to walk of to the left looking to the woods.

Blake was sitting in his seat alone with his backpack full of liquor next to him. The running he did earlier had really taken it out of him and he had been dozing in and out through the hour long bus ride. When suddenly the bus came to a skidding halt and caused Blake to smash his face right into the seat in front of him. "Ah what the hell..." Blake said grumpily as he leaned back out of his seat slowly opening his eyes to take in his surroundings. We couldn’t already be at the next town can we? It haven’t been asleep that long. Blake was trying to sort out what exactly was going on and noticed a commotion happen at the front of the bus. Apparently the people near the front could see something he couldn't. "Well I guess if were stopped it's as good a time for a drink as any." Blake contemplated as he unzipped his backpack and extracted one of the recently liberated bottles of vodka. He twisted the top off and held it up saying "Cheers." to himself joyfully.

And then all of the sudden everything seemed to go into slow-motion. Blake noticed out of the corner of his eye that some large mass was charging directly at their bus and then he heard the pop of 50 caliber rounds going off. But unfortunately there was nothing Blake could do to stop what was going to happen next. The creature slammed into the side of the bus knocking the bus onto its side as well as Blake’s bottle out of his grasp and into the roof shattering the alcoholic container all over the bus. My booze. Was the only thought Blake was able to get before everything sped up again and he was now in a massive pile of human bodies that were all trying to get away at once.

Blake did remember though that one of the ways to escape from a bus when it is on its side is the roof exits. Blake being on the top of pile of humans immediately looked up to the roof. He noticed a man that was bleeding from his forehead was the first one to escape and he could have sworn the man said something about this being a good place or something. But before he could finish that thought he heard a woman scream out “Use the emergency exits on the roof!” and it quickly snapped Blake out of a trance he had been in and caused him to spring into action. As quickly as he could move Blake secured his backpack and moved to the roof exit where he promptly pulled himself out of and tumbled to the ground just outside of the tipped over bus. It appeared the some others had already made it out as well. Hopefully we can escape before we are over come.

When the bus had slammed its brakes to the floor causing the wheels to start locking and releasing to slow the heavy machine down, Chris had reacted by throwing his hands up and pressing firmly against the back of the seat in front of him so to keep from being thrown forward. As many of the other people on the bus had been thrown about some of which seemed to recover quickly others took longer to recover from the blow but all the same everyone seemed alright as the all too clear complains started up. However, the one thing that had caught his attention was the young man that had asked to be let off the bus. Why would anyone want out there after all if they stayed on the bus they could get to safety at a greater rate of speed? Whatever his reason it was not Chris’s business to ask the him after all maybe he had family in the area or felt safer traveling alone.

Then just as the driver started to open the door of the bus an all too loud and clear sound of something heavy running came from the right side of the bus from the woods. Turning his attention from the young man and towards the woods where a massive figure was running head long from and towards the bus could clearly be seen. His eyes grow wide as he turned pressing his back towards the left side of the bus his hands closing firmly around upon the back of his seat and the one in front of him bracing his self from the coming blow which within a span of only seconds came. The bus was stroke with great force causing the tires on the left side to burst aiding in the tilting of the bus which came crashing down on its left side sending the people who had been on the right side crashing down onto those of the left side. When the bus came crashing down onto its side Chris’s head had connected with the glass window as well as the asphalt beneath causing small cuts on the back of his head and neck. As for those who had fallen on him they most of them had rolled off him mostly leaving him free to move which he did as he slide around and seat up right giving his head a shake to clear the ringing in his ears.

It took him a second to clear the ringing in his ears but the pain in his head remained but that was like a wakeup call to run and as he took stoke of what was going on he could see some people fighting to get out of the open emergency exit and others tried to climb out once right side of the bus which was now the top. As for his self he turned towards the front of the bus and started that way pushing past people he stopped as he felt a hand rest on his shoulder turning to the owner he seen a young female who looked to be in need of help. After a moment he watched her climb out of the bus and he returned to what he was doing as he now reached the front of the bus and set to work on kicking the front wind shield out. As it was already cracked from the roll over it only took him a few good kicks before it clasped out with him closely behind.

Once out he stood looking around people where heading off into the forest on the left and the soldiers where firing into the forest on the right where the clear sounds of moans could be heard. There was only a couple of options to be made follow the others or try and keep heading along the road which was very clearly blocked with burned out cars so there was only one option and that was the forest along with everyone else. Tightening his hold on his pack he started off towards the forest where he stopped and turned back running back to the bus skirting around to the rear where the fuel tank he reached around some hoses to the one that connected straight to the tank and took hold of it. He could hear the moans growing louder and the screams of people from the others buses trying to escape the coming doom. So with tears in his eyes he pulled the hose out causing the fuel inside to spill out some of which got on him and the rest poured onto the asphalt the pool growing ever larger. With that he run back around the bus and started off into the forest following the crowd of fleeing people. He was not sure if the fuel would catch fire but it would only take a spark and that would be the end for anyone still inside the bus which would turn into a massive ball of fire.

Darren watched as the horde was breaking into the bus. Darren glared coldly, as he held his pistol. The Tank was assaulting the two Humvees that were covering the rear.The beast seemed to take the bullets easily. Grabbing one by the front grill lifting and tossing the car. More soldiers came out of the other Humvee firing away. The Two buses in the back slowly pulled around and started to drive away in the direction of Pueblo, leaving the other Five buses behind. One was flipped, One was mashed by the tank of the roof, some people getting out, however the zombies seemed to be charging the hull. The other two had taken damage by the tank and the misfires from soldiers.

People running out of the last two buses. However the panic seemed to cause more trouble as the horde attacked more people.

"Theres to many civilians... Even If I do make it out they'll be too many of them turned undead, The Shelter was only a mile away, and now they'll be even more of the Walking-Husks around." He thought then looked at the Mashed Bus that was leaking gas. "These people will not make it out here even if I do let them live." He whispered. "Im saving them from starvation and freezing." He pulled his pistol up and aimed it at the bus. Holding both hands to the pistol grip. He sighed as he slowly pulled the trigger. "Baptiste By Fire." He whispered. He fired his pistol hitting the side, the sparks skipping from the vehicle... No flame a lit. He fired another and one more. A spark landed on the the gas and a lit. The fire rapidly growing. Fire was set under the People and Zombies feet, as well growing towards the bus.

The bus started to burn with people inside. Slowly Darren jogged away from the buses. He reached the other tree side, and turned watching the bus.


The silvery hull exploded, The fire shooting across the road, and all around. Catching the other two buses and the Tank on fire. The creature wailed and moaned as the fire engulfed the creature. The Buses were starting the same reaction. The Horde was starting to light. Causing a large majority to die. Darren grinned. "That should help." Darren turned walking up the hillside. Reaching the Shelter could take a little while.

(The Flipped bus is not harmed so your safe... For now.. Look at the Map in the OOC in reference.)

Darren stopped sitting on a stump with a fallen tree next to the base. Blood was still running from his forehead down to his face. He pulled for his pack and pulled out a tee shirt. Wipping the blood off his head. He sighed and pulled for one of the bandages that looted from the Clinic. He slowly wrapped his head. He looked to the fireball sighing.

Reaching in his bag he pulled for his small light, then He put his back pack on after stuffing the bloody shirt back in.

The Young man stood up and looked to the beaten path to the shelter. Keeping the light low at his feet as the moon lit up his path. While Holding his pistol with his other hand. What Darren failed to check was that he sloppily left some of his shirt hanging out. Drops of his blood trailing behind him with every step or so.

Heading up the hillside, he passed through the dense woods of the Black Valley. "Safety, only a few minutes away." He murmured.

Rodney had woken up to the sounds of chaos. Mainly the screeching of breaks, as the bus he was on slammed to a stop, and...was flipped onto it's side. The IV fell down on top of him as well. Mass panic ensued, as he tried to figure out where the hell he was. He heard a gunshot go off, then suddenly an explosion. He saw a couple of people make their way to the emergency exit on the roof and, felt it was necessary to go that way as well. Also, unsure as to what to do with the IV in his arm. He pulled out it, wincing at the pain and grabbed the baseball bat, making his way to the door.

He forgot one thing on his way out, the supplies of food.

He managed to catch a glimpse of a few people heading into the forest, and he chased after them as quickly as he could. He stopped briefly upon hearing a roar, a loud one, and he glanced back to see a huge hideous thing near the burning bus, he could also hear the faint and dying screams of people trapped, and walkers. "Damn, Damn, Damn..." He cursed loudly and looked back towards the people heading away. "Damn."

He would have to chase after them, and he was still tired and weak from earlier. Even if he had to fight his way to them, he would try his hardest to get there. Forcing his last remaining strength, and energy, he sprinted off towards the group, bat in hand. That's when he started to pass by a person laying on the ground and another person trying to help her, he glanced back towards the buses, and then back towards them, seemed safe for now, and if he was going to die out here, he might as well die out here trying to save someone. He started moving towards them, "Hey, hey, we need to get out of here. I can help you get her up."

Darren made it up the ridge face and the plain leveled out smoothly. As it smoothed out the trees seemed to pull away. Until Darren was standing in an open field. His eyes set on the Rusty Old Barn that stood out in the middle of the field. Not far from a small lake or pond. He walked slowly reaching the barn. He reached for large door, pulling slowly the door screeched open. Darren took a breather, felt flight slightly drained after losing some of his blood. He stepped inside the blackness of the barn.

He aimed his flash light at what looked like a concrete canister buried into the earth. A large metal swing door stood locked before him. He walked to the canister placing his hand on the metal door. There was a handle and beset it a keypad. Darren smiled and looked upon the door with some kind of inner joy. He punched in the code and the door seemed to make a loud but clean click. Gears grinding and moving inside. Darren turned the handle pulling the door open slowly. Inside was darker than the barn itself. But as the door opened a light came on above, inside the canister. Below looked to be a manhole cover, however it was thicker and made of steel. There was a handle facing Darren that looked to open it. However another key lock was set near the handle. Darren typed in another code and opened the cover. Pressure could be felt as he opened it, a rush of cool air escaping. Below a close set of stairs leading downward. Darren smirked and stepped in, turning around as he got in the canister, he closed the door behind locking the canister.


The Young man left the manhole cover open, slowly walking down the long winding steps. He looked to be going forever downward in a circle. Until it opened up into a Large Garage, some would call it a small hanger. He reached the floor stepping looking at the unlit spacious room. There looked to be isles of something or other, like a grocery store. However the lack lights kept the items from being seen.

Darren walked on taking a right around the isles. He reached a door to his left. The door had a small slide window and a peep hole, that could only been seen from the inside. The door was metal and bolted. Looking as this door could last out against a C4 explosion. Again another key pad was found. Darren pressed a separate code for this door as well. The door could be heard clicking and popping as the gears unlocked. Darren pushed the door with eased. It was pressurized, despite its size and weight the door could be moved, when unlock with just a simple nudge of the finger.

Darren stepped in and looked about smiling. Black Boxes that were sealed and Empty Racks sat coldy, as a light shined overhead. 2 Rows of lockers could bee seen on the far side of the large room. Darren walked to the lockers reaching for the first on his right. He smiled opening the double doors.

He slowly took off his coat and shirt. Putting his pistol up on one of the shelves in his locker. He took off his old tennis shoes, and jeans.

He looked to the mirror inside the locker. Seeing the bandage work he did on his head in the dark. As he pulled the wrap off he could see that the cut was a meer grazing on his forehead and cheek. Almost missing his eye, but almost. He smirked whipping the crusted blood away. He looked at the contents inside the locker for a moment and smirked. "I should clean up before getting this on."

He walked to a door on the otherside. Opening it there could be seen a small bathroom. With a sink, shower and toilet. Darren glared as he looked to the sink and pulled the handle... No water came out. "Of course. I forgot to turn the system on.." He scoffed a bit at his minor oversight as he walked to a metal door near the bathroom. This one as well had a keypad. Darren entered a code and the door opened for him. Stepping in it was a small room. About no bigger than a common Dorm. In fact there was a bed in the room. However than seemed dwarf what occupied inside. Darren turned looking at the The wall of computer towers that sat against the wall. He walked to the nearest one, and pressed a simple button. The wall seeming to come alive, glowing with internal light. To his left against the wall a Large LED screen came alive. 8 smaller ones all around the bigger started to light up as well. THe smaller 8 seemed to sit at the large screens walls. One on top, One to the Top Right, One at the Right, One at the Bottom Right, One at the Bottom, ONe at the Bottom Left, One at the Left, and one last one at the Top Left. The Main screen turned on and Greeted The young man in text.

"Welcome Darren Wilcox."

The Screen reached a basic password entry, in which Darren walked up to the keypad and entered the code. [********************]

The Screen turned black for a moment then came alive with a calm beach wallpaper. The Browser then came up and it looked like an average desk screen. The other 8 did the same. Darren moved the cursor toward a small Icon. It looked like a Hexagon outlined in Black and filled in red. Below it said. [The BlackShelter- Core Interface Protection System] Darren smirked. "Good old Cips." He said, clicking on the program.

The Shelter suddenly came alive not two minutes after words after the program booted up. The writing was in basic code. Typed in Black background, with red outlying and white text. {System Activated... Black Shelter full operational, Welcome User 342210.. User Name, Wilcox... Administrator.. } A voice said from above. "Activating all Security and Lifeline Systems. Water.... 0, Drinkable.... Electrical Energy ... 99% Optimal Energy, Reactivating Solar Panel......... Solar Panels Activated. .. Warning no Sunlight detected, setting Solar Panels to Rest Mode.... Fuel... Propane Storage 100% Full. Natural Gas Storage 100% Full. Petroleum Storage 100% Full. Water Filtration System activated, all primary systems are activated... Lifeline Systems set on Standby." The Voice said from above again. "Security Check Starting... Security Camera Interior Activated... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9, 10 11, 12.. All Camera operational. Security Camera Exterior Activated... 1, 2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.... All Cameras Operational... System Door Locks ... Checking.... " Darren could hear locks cranking and jerking about the Shelter. "All Locks Operational. ... Fail safe Prime directive... Installing... Fail safe, activated... User Wilcox, please take the Fail Safe Control now." Darren eyes set on what looked like a small MP3 Player. a red light on top of it blinked twice. Darren smirked and reached for the Item and pulled it from its mount off the desk. There was only a small screen and one large red button, on the side was what looked to be a key forced into the device. Darren smirked and typed on the Computer. {Ceps locked, Going to Hidden Mode.} It said on the screen. The black screen faded and turned back to the main browser with the beach side property. The Icon was now gone however.

Darren walked away and closed the door behind him in the room. The Door Locking. He turned back to the bathroom where the water was now running. The inter Shelter seemed to come alive. A low hum could be heard all around. Darren walked to the sink, resting the device far away from the sink. He washed his face and the blood off of him. He took of his glasses and opened the mirror cabinet. HE reached inside and pulled out two tiny cases that said contact lens upon them. Darren opened them up and popped the blue lens into his eyes. He put his glasses in the cabinet and closed it. He looked coldly at the mirror, then turned to his locker, as he picked up the device. Walking back over to his locker he got dressed, from whatever was inside.

Darren First reached for an black undershirt. Slipping it on his thin frame. He then grabbed a hander that held a pair of Propper Olive Tactical Pants. Slipping them on, fitting a Khaki belt around his waist. He then reached for a Black Poly/Cotton BDU Coat. Buttoning it up. He reached inside pulling out a Black PIG Plate Carrier. Slipping it on over his head and tighting the Cummerbunds. Sitting about where his stomach was were Four Elastics Double Fill Magazine Pounces. He bent down to a Black Gorilla Case and pulled out 6 Tapco 5.56 Magazines. Slipping them in his Pouches. All the Magazines had been filled ealier. And the Case looked to be filled with all kinds of Magazines. Sorted in sections. He moved the case out of the Locker, pulling hard as the black case slipped out onto the the hard tiled floor.

Darren reached down again, pulling for two Black Combat boots. Slipping and tying them on. He grabbed a pair of Blackhawk Black Gloves slipping them on. The Trigger finger on the right glove looked to be cut off. He reached for a pair off pulls that hung together via a string. He let them hand around his neck. He picked back up the Light and slipped in into a quick pouch he had on his Plate Carrier. From his locker, He pulled out a Shemagh, and put it around his neck collar. fitting the Afgan rag snuggly. He grabbed the pistol and slid it to a Blackhawk Hostler, Clipping the Hostler Firmly the his chest of the Plate Carrier. He stepped back and walked away from the Locker and locked the door.

The Man looked total different from before. His eyes cold and set, which his glasses firmly hid. He was in his shelter now, but he knew that there were zombies probably coming up to his shelter within hours, if they could smell his trail. He left nothing to chance. Walking over to one of the large black cases. He opened one up kneeling down on one knee as he unclipped and opened the case. He smiled again with joy as the SR-15 sat firmly within its cosy container. He reached inside and pulled the rifle out. He had previously fitted and customized the weapon for his own use.

He racked back the instrument and looked inside the bolt. He smiled, as he finally felt safe. Nothing more made him feel so secure. He pulled the rifle close as he slung th rifle, clipping it to his Plate Carrier. He grabbed a magazine and loaded the rifle. He turned to another Gorilla Case. Opening it up he looked inside. He reached in slowly, His hand pulling out a Sleek Steel Machete, with a leather hostler. around the grip. He slipped the Holster to his belt left side, cross drawing. He checked the machete, seeing how well it stay and slipped out of the hostler. He felt it was good enough and stood up.

Blake had been resting nearby one of the buses when all of the sudden one of them exploded in a large fireball. "Holy shit!" Blake exclaimed as he got up and started to run away from the other buses in fear that they might as well explode bringing him to a slow fiery death. His only option now was to go farther into the forest, but where exactly could he go to? Blake didn't know any of the land around here. It seemed like his fate was either to die now as a zombie or die later as a zombie. IT seemed the logical choice was to hold onto life as long as possible.

So Blake started to run through the forest. The way he was moving and crashing through the brush he assumed he sounded similar to a bear or some other large animal. Maybe that might scare the zombies away. Blake thought even though deep down he knew it wasn't true. That's when he could have sworn he heard a woman screaming out about getting out of here or getting away or something close to that. And as far as Blake knew zombies couldn't talk or form words.

As quick as his chubby legs would carry him Blake went running towards the voice he thought he heard. "Please let them be people. Please let them be people." Blake said gasping for air between every few words. Eventually he broke out of the woods into a small opening where he ended up tripping over a fallen tree causing him to go face first into the ground surrounded by a small amount of people. "Ughhh." Blake groaned as he looked up from the ground and he could have sworn he recognized a few of the people from the bus. "Help...zombies." Blake said breathing very heavily as he struggled to get up onto his knees.

"Zombies...are...coming...into...the...forest." Blake repeated again breathing heavily between each word. He was now back on his feet looking more clearly at the small group of people. It looked like at least one of them had a firearm which was better than nothing. I made the right decision. Blake thought to himself as he waited for the others to decide what they were going to do.

(The group I am talking about is the one pretty much everyone is in right now.)

Standing there watching the others he shined the light down towards the young looking female (Ariana) who looked to be having trouble breathing then out of nowhere she passed out right there at their feet. On top of this the lady with the shotgun (Kate) had just fired off a shot from her weapon into the night sky which would be nothing more than a dinner bell to any zombies not already busy with eating the flesh from the living. So with that in mind shoved the back of the flash light into a pocket of his coveralls before leaning down and taking hold of one of the young females (Ariana) arm and pulling her to set up right but only for a brief moment as he pulled her the rest the way up and over onto his left shoulder. Wrapping his left arm behind her legs just at the knees he turned to the others and with a clearly pale look to his face spoke up.

“Right now is a good time to start our escape back up. Miss shotgun if you would be so kind as to take the lead with that thunder stick of yours I will follow up.” With that said he pulled his flashlight back from his pocket turning the beam to light what looked to be the most clearly laid out path ahead Chris would start off down it having to take his time as the added weight of the knocked out lady added only slightly more weight than he was use to added to the fact that in her state she was dead weight which was harder to carry.

With the unconscious female slung over his shoulder and the lady with the shotgun taking charge and leading the way Chris felt slightly more at ease even as the shadows cast off from the burning buses seemed to dance all around them. The only sounds that could for most of the walk was those coming from the road behind them other than that the forest was dead silent, nothing moved not even the trees seemed to sway in the gentle cold breeze. It made his skin crawl and his mind wonder as he carried on replaying the last few minutes of what had just happened. (Inside Chris’s mind) “Oh god what did I do why did I pull that hose loose? Did I really think that through I mean really what if I had just ran maybe those soldiers could have fought back the horde and saved those people still trapped inside? But I pulled the hose and killed them all for what only to save my own ass?” With a few shakes of his head he cleared the thoughts from his mind forcing his mind to the matter at hand which was to stay and alive and try to safe at least one of life, his eyes drafted for a moment towards the legs of the young woman over his shoulder. He could feel her chest and stomach moving which meant she was alive and he would be damned if he was going to let her die without putting up some kind of a fight after all he felt he owed it to those who were trapped inside those burning buses.

A while later the group having made it deeper into the forest the light from the fires behind them all but gone from sight now and the sounds no longer able to be heard. Now all that surrounded them was the silence, and the wind it held a chilled touch to it and caused goose bumps to cover Chris’s arms even with the coveralls it still felt cold to him. His attention had turned towards something new this time around his thoughts no longer on what had happened back on the road he now found his self-staring at the lovely rear end of the young lady in front of him. He could not help himself after all she had a very nice body and tall oh how his mind minded with the thoughts of how she looked without those clothes on or how she would look in a nice pair of silk stockings and… From their right off in the distance a loud crash was heard followed by screaming and gun fire. From where they were those that looked could just make out the muzzle flashes from some kind of a large caliber firearm maybe a shotgun or a rifle but at this distance it would be near impossible to tell. And just as quickly as it had started it was over there were no more gun shots no more sounds the only thing that came from that direction was silence.

Chris turned towards the front where the lady with the shotgun was and started to speak but nothing came out. He found his self to be speechless at what to say after all what could he say? So he kept quiet with the light still guiding up to where they came across the first few drops of blood that had dripped off of the shirt that Darren had stuffed into his pack not that any of them would know this but it was not hard to tell that was blood and it looked fresh.

Picking his way along the path towards the summit of the slope Chris slowed in his pace as he came upon the lady that had taken the lead. She was standing now having seat down upon a rock to most likely rest after all she was wounded then added to this fact was all that had just gone on and was still happening. “So far she seems alright, she’s still breathing so that is a good sign.” As she walked over asking if it was possible she was faking it Chris would just give a simple shrug of his shoulders or best he could. “Not sure she hasn’t complained so far or moved for that matter so I’m guessing she is still unconscious.” As they were stopped for the moment Chris took the time to readjust the way that the unconscious female was laying over his shoulder after the other female had a chance to check to be sure that she was not just faking it after all. With that settled for now the order was given to start moving once more so he started up behind her once more a look of concern starting to show on his face as he heard the body shaking coughs from the lady leading the way.

He was silent for a moment longer then started to speak up on the matter but was silenced as he heard groaning coming from the female he held over his shoulder, which was shortly followed by her pressing her hands into his back and pushing herself up causing him to stop once more. Just as he stopped he felt her legs starting to kick as well as her hands hitting his back before slurred words came from her clearly she wanted down. “Alright hold still now I’m going to set you down but you need to relax.” Once she had stopped struggling and he had slipped his flashlight into his pocket he lowered down to one knee and placed his other hand up against the small of her back before leaning forward and letting her drop back from his shoulder and into his arm which moved up so to keep her from falling completely onto the ground. He had heard the question of who was he but he had not answered not until he had seat the female down on the ground with her back against a thick tree. His attention then turned towards the female in the lead calling out to her. “Hey miss she is awake.” With that he turned his attention back towards the lady that had asked his name.

“The names Chris, how are you feeling? Do you think you can walk?” Still kneeling down in front of the woman he pulled the flashlight from his pocket seating it up so that it shined across the two of them he then pulled her pack off and seat it beside her. Standing back up lifting his left arm the one that he had been carrying the woman over and moved it hearing the faint popping sound he then gave a groan of complaint at the discomfort.

He half turned looking up the hill towards the lady with the shotgun who had stopped and turned back towards them calling back down frustrated tune of voice even if she had not meant it the tone was still there. So he didn’t say anything in return to her after all he understood she was tired sounded sick and the threat of death was still ever much there so they all needed to rest at the same time in one place and the top of the ridge maybe the best place to stop. “Hey your welcome after all we survivors have to stick together right?” He asked the question in a joking tone of voice before turning his attention back down the hill hearing the sound of hurried footsteps coming towards them. Picking up the flashlight he shined it back down the path seeing it was the guy with the other gun coming up.

As it seemed the others had caught up for the most part he turned his attention back towards the lady he had been carrying as she had tried the stand only to fall back against the tree. “Look miss your in no shape to be walking so just take it easy alright.” Stepping around to her side he knelt down placing the flashlight atop her pack before slipping his arms beneath her legs and behind her back. “Alright here we go.” Lifting he pushed up from the ground with her in his arms and close to his chest to better balance out. “There easy as pie now then if someone could get her pack and my flashlight I’ll carry her to the top of the ridge.” With that he started walking once more having to take his time now as his eyes had to adjust to the low light as the flashlight had caused his eyes to become messed up so he was having a bit of trouble seeing.

In a whispered voice he spoke to the lady in his arms as he carried her up the hill. “Hey how about reaching in that chest pocket of mine and getting that chocolate bar out.” It had just crossed his mind that he had left it in there from that MRE he had.

Ariana felt her weight be lifted easily by the guy once again. She found herself once again ridiculously tired. For goodness sake, she had just been unconscious for god knows how long. She looked at the dark sky, the air was thick with the scent of burnt metal, rubber and death. She shuttered. Ariana did not like relying on someone else for help nor did she like the idea that if a zombie horde did attack, Chris would have less time to react because of the second it would take to drop her and then be able to defend himself. Excessive guilt crossed her features. She let and uncontrollable yawn break her train of though. Chris whispered for her to get the chocolate bar out of his pocket, the intimacy of the situation did not offend her she reached into his top pocket and pulled out the chocolate. Her nose crinkled at it. She yawned again, desperate to stay conscience Ariana started speaking as they trekked up finally reaching the top of the hill.

"I'm Ariana" she closed her eyes for a split second allowing her heavy eyelids to drift. dammit...She thought. She opened her eyes again. She hissed a string of profanities. She didn't usually swear but the situation called for it. Her head ached and fought to pull her back to unconsciousness. They reached the top of the hill, she let out a sigh of relief.

After the Colonel had give his speech and given the order for the company to fall out to their respected areas. After seeing where their LT headed to Hanson followed behind shortly. Once he got within their designated area he promptly dropped his aid-bag and then looked up at the LT and said
" So Sir we finally get to have some fun huh? Even if its only helping some civvies along the road."

Hanson wasn't expecting anything to happen when they went on their mission but that didn't make him drop his guard. That was one thing he learned from his time in the military. There was something bound to go wrong and screw the entire mission in four ways. Honestly Hanson was expecting at least a few fragos to happen before they even got on the road.I hope the men are ready... He thought to himself as he looked at some of them; some people were new some were old buddies who he knew from being deployed to iraq. They were apparently even getting a new kid straight from basic How fucked is that? Hanson questioned to himself usually they would have left them back with the unit for more training before thrusting them into the wild naked.Ill have to watch him. he though once more. He wasn't going to lose anyone this time. Not again....
