Setting
Dhara is home to the Beast-Folk, a race of humanoids somewhere between man and some sort of mammal. The most common races of the Beast-Folk are the Suri (felines) and Ka (canines). The Beast-Folk have many different cultures, due to their society formed by multiple nomadic clans who all trade with each other. The two largest and most important clans are the Suri Ishtahr and the Ka Haldran. During times of war, the clans come together under the leadership of the Ishtahr and the Haldran to fight off invaders or charge into battle against a defending country. However, the Beast-Folk are better diplomats then they are warriors, preferring instead to negotiate with their enemies to solve problems as opposed to trying to defeat them in war.
In order to keep the tension between clans low, the Ishtahr host an annual sporting competition in good will. The Ishtahr always make sure there is never any cheating in order to keep the games as they were meant to be, a way of bonding between the many clans. People from all over Thania come to witness these events. They have come to be called "The Separa", meaning "The Spectacles" in the language of the Beast-Folk.
