Setting
Up these and several more flights of stairs, and down a hall, to the right there is a door of dark oak, carved around the edges with running horses and wind swirls, intermixed with and intricate knot work of roses. The Skysong Crest holds precedence at the top of the rounded door, the centerpiece of the masterwork.
This door leads to the Queen's main office; an average size for the castle, though some might call it large.
The room is lined with shelves of books, leather bound and smelling of great age and wisdom. Scrolls and shiefs of parchment are arranged neatly along one shelf at the back wall. There is a window, large and ornate, allowing light to filter through to fall upon the large dark wood desk that holds dominance over the room. A high backed chair sits behind it, and candle wax residue speaks of long hours spent in that chair going over documents and ledgers.
A thick red rug fills the space on the stone floor between door and desk, and two more chairs sit empty unless filled with important people.
