"I would be half way there already if I hadn't had to wait for father to pick someone else to come along." she sighed out load, though really talking to herself.
She knew that it was for the best, going alone would not be as helpful as going with a partner, and really she couldn't ask for a better partner. She had her pack all set. She had brought water, food, medical supplies, clothes, and of course weapons. She didn't think to bring anything in the way of shelter, because she figured she would just sleep in the trees. Not having spent much of time outside of Alfheim, she didn't think about places where trees may not be as prevalent. Forethought was not always her strongest suit.
She was wearing the light leather outfit she usually wore, but had also brought more substantial clothing for colder weather. While she didn't always think ahead, this was one thing that she did remember to consider. She pulled her hair back and braided it. This way it would stay out of the way. She glanced behind her and gave a loud sigh. If Al'Turian didn't get here soon, though more than likely he was here and just being sneaky, she would consider going with out him.....or at least pretend to consider it.

They had known each other forever. His family was in charge of protecting hers. In truth she hated it when he acted as though he was of a lower station than she was. He was incredibly skilled and she felt that they deserved more respect than most of the other "nobility" ranks. His family did, and always had done, something that was truly worthwhile.
"Alright mud face, let's get going. I don't want to be the last ones at the inn. Also, before we meet the other members of this little group, you are going to have to clean up." she smiled at him and turned toward the path. Excitement raced in her veins. This would be a true adventure.

He nodded in agreement as she called him "mud face". He knew his most look like some wild man or something to anyone else who saw him. He began to pull mud and leaves from his white hair as the princess set off. He followed after her, smiling at her excitement, it remind him of the games of cat and mouse they used to play. He was always too good at being the cat. However, thinking as her protector he frowned, the open fields were not what he was used to. His skills would be at a disadvantage. Also there was little cover, so although they could see any arrivals, this arrivals would see them as easy. If they had malicious intend that would bode trouble.
