Ash Paters's Story

Ashley's family was talking about their profits for this month when Ashley felt something, something new and different. She left the family room and went to the large window if the front of the house. She stared out it and placed her hand on her chest and on the window. She grabbed her jacket and opened the door "I'll be back for dinner I'm going for a walk." She strolled casually for awhile then she picked up a sent. She started to run towards the smell she ran threw the town and up the hill her heart beating, wind blowing threw her hair she finally slowed down she was walking up a hill then she noticed a small squirrel she was still a little hungry she had a light lunch. She grabbed the squirrel and bit into it. She loved squirrel it was to easy to catch though not a challenge.

She climbed on top of the hill after finishing the squirrel, then she saw a group of people standing by a rock and a tree. Then she realized this was by Lucas's house. She always watched Lucas when he went into the town he was a threat to her and her family she doesn't want to hurt him but if he keeps trying to stop he from he killings she might have to take him down. She looked at the others. Just a vampire and another shifter both are useless compared to her. She smiled knowing she was better and more elegant than a vampire. But that shifter she felt like she was staring at her but she just shrugged it off and kept looking at the others. She couldn't recognize them they seemed human. "Hmm fresh meat." She sat down and watched waiting for the perfect time to approach the others.

Sumi looked towards the woods and her ears twitched slightly under her hair, eyes narrowing as she tried to hold back a vicious growl. She hated creatures that would threaten and lurk about, as if waiting for the right time. Before lucas was nineteen, she often had sensed creatures nearby, waiting to jump out and attack. It had made her the protective girl she is today, always watching his back... Now it seemed she needed to watch the back of three little humans... It was obvious, things were going to get a lot harder here on out. Sumi looked to Lucas and rubbed his back. "You realize, I'd never let anything happen to you or your relatives, right?" She tilted her head and then gave him a small smile. "I mean, I'm not stopping being your assistant, yet." She said slightly jokingly, nudging him back with a small swing of her hips.

She looked to the cousins for a moment before her face dropped and she sniffed. There was a vampire here, three young humans, two adult humans, and... Her head quickly turned, looking towards a hill in the distance and narrowing her eyes. And a shapeshifter. She stared in that direction, seeing the shapeshifter sitting down she didn't know if the girl could see her, but she swore, if she started coming anywhere close to these three, the teeth and claws would come out, and she wouldn't see another day go by.

James, now fully, well, three-fourths awake, slowly stood back up. He took a quick glance at the grinning woman and said to himself, "Ah, what a pain. First an vengeful vampire and now a hungry little shape shifter. Sigh, maybe it's cause I'm a Incubus that I have such 'luck' with the ladies. Haha..." He paused to stretch out his arms for a while. "Yeah, I know what you're thinking. I must be crazy huh? Talking to myself in the woods, taking naps next to corpses. I blame my family upbringing personally, and my roommate, and my employer and my-" James, suddenly looking very embarrassed, cleared his throat and continued, "A-Anyways, as much as I'd love to leave this to you, so that I may go back to my luxurious home, well, I don't trust you." James lightly places his hand onto his holster. He may not look like it, but he would have made a killing in the Wild West. "So the question stands, who are you?"

Ashley laughed at his threat. "You wouldn't dare hurt me! My family is one of the most powerful in this little town if you even point that gun at me you will be killed shortly." She started to walk over to the body. She just ignores the man talking about his family and junk no one. She grabs the coat and throws it off the body and sees the fresh cut. "Mhh you should know I only eat not because I want to. It's because if I don't I would go on a rampage." She knelt down by the body and looked back up and the man that was still standing there with his hand moving towards his gun. Ashley began to get nervous and stood back up. "Alright fine you win. I'm Ashley Paters from the Paters family you probably know us most people do. I am the youngest of the family so they pretty much let me do anything and your not gonna stop me anytime soon." She started to back away into the woods.

James kept his threatening stance for a few more seconds, then relaxed his hand away from his holster and said, "Ah, another spoiled brat ey? You'd never imagine how many rich people we have in a small town like this, Ha..." He put his arms into a crossed position. "Well, at the very least you can give a proper introduction." He watched silently as she backed away into the woods. "Get home safely, Miss Paters. Oh, and give your prestigious family my regards."

When she finally left James fell down on his butt and sighed in relief. "Phew, what's next, I wonder?" He then took out his gun and opened up the chambers. Not a single one had a bullet in it. He let out a short laugh followed by a clumsy sneeze, and placed the coat back on top of the dead incubus' face.

A few rustles of the leaves later, small boy jumped down from the tree the panther was yelling at. Standing up, he felt a bit shorter than usual, but he wasn't gonna let some stupid shifter get between him and, well... "Wadda you want Paters?" he asked, knowing who she was because of her family's wealth. "And wadda ya think I look like? Dracula?" He let out a small laugh and looked at the dark panther. "Ooh, you're a big scary kitty, huh?"

Kane leaned against the tree and smirked. He was irritating and he knew it- that's would made goblins goblins. Tough, witty, and in all shapes and sizes. What he did not want however was for Ash to eat him right here, right now. Thankfully he had his revolver and dagger with him. The goblin's smile grew a bit more.

Cylene continued walking before stopping at the entrance of a small path between two stores. Looking down at her dress, she knew she couldn't be seen by the humans. But she wanted to get home and busy herself with something other than hateful thoughts. Peeking around the corner, she was relieved to see that they had passed by this area already, albeit not more than a few meters. Taking her chance, she quickly darted to the other side of the street and began heading home.

Ashley chuckled and rolled her eyes. "It's just a stupid goblin" She changed back to her human form. "I'm not even gonna waist my energy on you." She laughed and began to walk towards him. She was planning on just simply cutting his throat and ridding the world from one of those disgusting goblins. She changed her hand into a claw with extremely sharp claws. "I'll give you one chance give me what ever valuable you have on you and maybe I'll let you live."

She had a odd smile on her face. She wasn't going to let him live no matter what happened she just didn't want to dig threw his pockets after he was dead. As she approached him she noticed something in his hand. She stopped approaching him and stared at the revolver. Her eyes grew a bit wider "Hey um do you want to maybe forget this happened." She still wanted to seem like she wasn't scared but she was terrified on the inside. She looked back up at his face and her eyes locked onto his. "Don't do anything you might regret." She knew if he even shot around her, her family would hunt him down and kill him so she always felt secure everywhere but she still didn't want to get shot.

Kane gulped a bit. Please don't take my money! he whined in his head. Not only would he be sad, his brother would be pissed at him. There was also a nice 'golden' watch that he'd 'sold' to some other rich guy before getting it back for the cheap price of well, nothing. Without knowing it, he put his hand on the revolver around his waist. Almost immediately the panther girl seemed to change her mind about making him give her everything he had.

"Sure, let's forget this. Sounds good to me." He pulled out the revolver just in case and starte dto back away.

Cylene jumped and screamed when she heard the car and then Lucas say her name. She was prepared to go on the defensive again, but seeing as it was only him she relaxed a bit. At least it wasn't Sumi or the other incubus who'd been with the one she'd murdered. "How are your family friends?" she asked as she approached his car, trying to change the topic. She didn't want him to punish her.

Ashely smiled and turned back into her panther form and jumped into the woods. She ran for a little while before she crept back to where to little goblin was. He didn't move from his spot. She smiled knowing how easy it will be to kill him with an attack he didn't even see coming. She slowly crept threw the woods making sure to stay low to the ground. She was perfectly hidden in the shadows she crawled over to the tree that he jumped down from and then she started to climb it herself. She was on top of a branch just waiting for him to walk under her. Soon she saw his foot she pounced down onto him and knocked him down. She quickly smacked the gun out of his hands. "Did you really think I was just going to disappear and leave you standing around. If anyone is going to kill you it's going to be me." She smiled and raised her paw to smack him in the face but she forgot about his knife. She smiled with her paw in the air. "So if you don't mind I'm going to scratch your face off now."

Kane was honestly confused. What the heck had he done to make this girl so angry?! Maybe she was just a psychopathic freak. Then again they were all freaks in the eyes of humans. Growling he kicked her from his position on the ground before leaping up and grabbing his dagger. It was too risky to go retrieve his revolver right now with Miss Terror and her claws. "What did I even do?!" he yelled at her.

The young vampire simply nodded, looking at the ground before walking around to the passenger side and getting in. She had no idea how cars worked, considering the old style of the town. It was as foreign a concept to her as the new human girl's pink hair. "Yes, I heard about that. Your assistant was speaking with me briefly." She kept her eyes focused ahead of her, not looking at Lucas.

Lucas nodded and started to drive. "So why'd ya do it? " he asked while driving into the woods. He tried not scare her that much but he also wanted her to stay calm. His thoughts were interrupted by two monster fighting. They looked as if goblin and possibly shapeshifter. He pulled out the magnum he kept on the dash and pointed it in the air and shot. He stopped by them and yelled. "Oi stop your fighting. Your not children no get out of eachoeachothers hair. " he shouted hoping he wouldn't have to shoot.

Ashley still in the form of a panther was kicked off her prey. She soon recovers and was back on her four legs. She started to circle around her new goblin meal. "Do you really think that knife is going to help you now. You should of held onto that gun. He yelled "What did I even do?!" and Ashley smiled. "You are a wast of space all you do is con people I'm doing you a favor." She started to run at him when she herd someone shoot off there gun. She stopped in her tracks and stared at the man that shot.

"Oi stop your fighting. Your not children no get out of each others hair. " Said Lucas. Ashley quickly changed back sort of hopping Lucas didn't see her panther form. Then she ran up to Lucas and grabbed his arm and stared into his eyes. "Please help me I was walking down the woods when this goblin jumped out and tried to rob me! I was just trying to protect myself from him!" She started to cry and looked back at the goblin and smiled but then continued to seek petty from Lucas. "You have to put this monster behind bars! Please help me." Then she put her head between her arms and started to cry harder. But inside she was just thinking of how she was going to get away with attacking that wast of a man.

Cylene looked at Lucas as if he were stupid. (Which in some instances he was.) She opened her mouth, about to give her usual speech on the useless beings known as succubi who drained her only love and practically ripped her heart out- but she was interrupted by Lucas being sheriff again. Only this time, it wasn't her who was in trouble.

She recognized both of these people, Oakhill wasn't the largest town, but she didn't have much of an opinion on either. Kane was the typical goblin and Ash was just another rich girl like her. Hmm, what was going on here? Lucas seemed even more mad than before.

The short blonde looked at the shape shifter in disbelief. He was a waste of space? What about her? She was here attacking him for the heck of it! "Oh, you're in for it you little-!" he was cut off by Lucas suddenly pulling up and hopping out, yelling at them and calling them kids. Kane took the opportunity to get his revolver back and aimed it at her.

He frowned a bit when he realized what she was doing. Really? Just... really?" Oh come on!" he complained, trying to think of five good reasons not to pull the trigger. "I was just minding my business, takin' a relaxing nap in the woods and this thing shows up and tries to eat me! I'm not even that tall, so I wouldn't taste good. You should put her behind bars for being an obnoxious twit who picks a fight with anyone who isn't as rich as her!" He was fuming now when he realized there was also a vampire here. If an incubus happened to come along they'd have every species in town involved in one argument. If that was a good thing or a bad thing was the question.

Lucas listened to both sides and rolled his eyes at both. He looked at Ashley "Really you were attacked Ms. Paters cause if I do recall correctly you were talking to my assistant about taking off a body for a snack. I think you're more hungry than defenseless. " he turned to the goblin. " You are safer now both of ya get back to your homes, oh and Ms Paters I have my eye on your. You are not out of my grasp remember that. " he got back in the jeep but didn't drive waiting for the two to leave.

Ashley glared at Lucas and ran up to his car. "Well if I'm not out of your grasps then try and grab me" She smiled and stuck out her tongue "None of you can really do anything to me. And I can do anything I want my parents will buy me out of jail if you put me in it." She spun around and got real close to Kane "I can even get away with murder." She giggled and pushed him on his chest. She made her way back to Lucas's car and looked at the vampire in the passenger seat. "And you the one who killed the incubus. Your just like me. Toke a life away and all your getting is a stern talking to from the big bad Lucas!" She pointed at Lucas but still stared at Cylene. "Your just lucky your friends with Lucas actually your lucky you have friends." She toke a step back so she could see all of them. "You are a thieving low life robber. You are a murderer that gets it easy because she has friends. And you, you just go around telling people why they are bad and threatening them! I bet you have somethings that you've done wrong too but you just hide it under your giant head." She pointed at each one as she told them off but when she was yelling at Lucas she got close and poked Lucas in the chest fairly hard. "And now you all should under stand why I'm out of all of your grasps." She stood up but stayed by the side of the car where Lucas was sitting.

Kane was about to thank Lucas. But then Ash opened her mouth. He couldn't handle it anymore- he was going to lodge a well placed bullet in her rather large head. He was about to shoot when Cylene growled at him. Okay, shooting her could wait until after this piece of dirt was done with her life lessons class. Finding that she wasn't about to shut up anytime soon, he started trying to mock her while she was talking. He stuck his butt out and put his hand on his hip, with the other one forming a duck bill that he placed by his mouth. He made low quacking sounds as Ash continued to speak about how she was apparently God. Good grief, he could never do Lucas's job!

"My goodness, do you talk to your parents with that tone of voice young lady?" he asked, exasperated by how conceited she was. "I oughta shoot your big head off since you're goin' round here tellin' people what they do wrong. Hey Lucas, show 'er a mirror so she can see how big her head is!" He started giggling obnoxiously before skipping around in circles. "I can get away with murder! Watch me eat everyone! Oh no, I'm fat now that I ate everything on the planet. Daddy!" He knew that he was probably going to get stabbed by the vampire, shot by the sheriff, and eaten by the panther, but at least he could go out fighting. And with some cash in his pocket. He liked money.

Where was he going with his death speech? Oh yeah. Kane was not about to let this little big mouth get away with it. He liked winning and was determined to tell her off. "If Cylene gets away with murder 'cause she has friends, then how do you get away with it?" He started laughing again, pulling out his revolver and prepared to fire at her whenever he got the chance. "And Lucas wouldn't have to threaten us if you would stop threatening everyone else!

"And what if I go up to your big grande house, sneak in, take what you have and get out before burning it to the ground and all of your family in it? Who's gonna protect you then princess?!" Kane was raging by now and struggling to keep himself in check. He glanced at the car where Cylene and Lucas were for their reactions. It made him sad to see that Cylene could just sit there and take that.


Cylene's mouth fell open in shock as Ash opened her mouth... and never seemed to close it. It was shocking how cruel she was, and it did hurt the vampire. She was not one for criticism or pain of any sorts. She looked at her lap and started to examine her fingernails, trying to block out this mean girl. The vampire was in no position to defend herself- she wasn't that type of person. She fought physically, not verbally or emotionally because she honestly didn't know how

Lucas was at a point he rarley got it. He didn't even bother with the speach from the goblin all his rage was The insensible ramblings of the shapeshifter got under his skin. He looked her in the eye then grabbed her by the collar and stuck the magnum in her mouth and he pulled back the hammer. "No you are not out of my reach and I'm fairly certain your family can't bring you from the dead. Your just a spoiler grate with a bloodlust and you want to tell other people why they deserve to die? You and all the others like you are the reason I can pull the damn trigger. Now you get out of here and go ahead tell your daddy about what happened, tell him how I was mean, Hell even tell him to kill me, well guess what little miss I can take you and you whole clan out in less than an hour. Now get out of here and I don't want to see you pestering another person again. " he threw the girl on the ground ignoring her feelings. He glared and uncocked the hammer. "Got it? " he asked then turned to the goblin. "That goes for you as well. " he said about to shoot both of them and blame it on a fight.

Kane froze when he saw Lucas take extreme control of the situation, reminding them all why he was boss around here. His simple speech was better than any of what the goblin had said and the pale creature turned just a bit paler as he watched Lucas let panther girl go. She was in tears now as if she'd finally gotten a reality check. The blonde doubted this woe is me attitude would last much longer though. In his mind, people didn't really change.

He lowered his gun from her and instead decided to just walk away as if nothing happened. He wanted to just get back to the store and eat some of the fresh fruits the Sare family provided. He didn't look back, only kept walking with the confidence that Ash wouldn't try and hurt him again.


Cylene could only watch in horror as one of Lucas's guns was shoved into the girl's mouth. She had to look away, horrified that she would be shot here in now and her brains would be blown out. The poor girl didn't want to see that happen. She looked briefly at the goblin who was in the same state of shock as she was before he turned and left as if it had never happened.

The blonde anxiously started twirling her hair with her fingers before noticing that James was here. She frowned and closed her eyes, wondering how she'd gotten herself into such a large conflict after just killing one incubus.
