a character in “The Crown of Existence”, as played by MFT

Description

Name: Xanti
Gender: Male
Race: Desert Elf
Class: Magic User
Appearance:Image
Power/Skill: Xanti is an intermediate magic caster with a talent for magical barriers. He can also cast spells without incantation. He is almost useless in melee combat, but he knows where to stab if he can sneak up on you. His endurance is purely mental, so running long distances is not his thing.
Applying Role: Palace->Guard (barrier keeper)
Phobias: Being watched in his sleep, Killing someone accidentally with his right hand.
Joys: Reading/Enriching his knowledge, luring people in his barrier traps, watching other people sleep.
Other: Xanti has a definite atmosphere hanging around him, which makes him hard to approach. If that is the result of a barrier or just his personality is unknown. He only eats once a day or less since he is from the desert and isn't used to eating much.
Where you live: In the castle, mostly in the library.

Equipment

He hides some magical gems, and a ceremonial dagger in the sleeves of his robe. He also carries a concentrated potion to repress the curse on his right hand, without it he would die in about a week.

History

As a kid he was incorporated in an occult in the desert of the east. The group expelled him when he questioned their believes. They cursed his right hand with the touch of death, a curse which causes instant death upon a single touch. He wandered around most of the four continents to find a cure, but all he found was a potion to cease the expanding of the curse.
He now works at the castle as barrier keeper, to keep up a barrier to protect the prince from possible assassin attacks. In return for his work, he can use the library in the castle to look for a cure. He was already employed at the castle before the old prince got assassinated.

Xanti walked trough a narrow passage between tall bookshelves, with a book in his arms. At the end of the passage was a door. He entered a room, and sat down in a comfy chair. It was a dusty and dimly lit room in the library of the castle. Each wall was covered by bookshelves as high as the ceiling. He opened the book, which was a little too big to handle with ease. And he began reading it from cover to cover, in the absolute silence, where no one could ever find him. He could smell the books, the mountain of knowledge, immortalized on thin sheets of paper. with the reassuring feeling that he had all the time in the world, he continued absorbing information. But in reality he didn't have all the time in the world.
