Curt and chilly, Ms. Skern takes no guff from students, law enforcement, other staff members, or underlings. She prefers to get straight to the point of an argument in place of beating around the bush, and will disregard any and all social expectations to get there. Disinterested in being polite, Skern has earned the nickname “Sargent” Skern for her gruff conduct. Drilling students on rules and regulations is a common occurrence for those met with her discipline, and she feels that it is her personal duty to take care of any issues distracting Mr. Sheckler, her boss, from his work.

”Sergent” was a label well-chosen: young Andromeda was enrolled into a military academy, and spent most of her life dropping, rolling, yelling, and snapping to attention. Her father was a fierce one, and always very proud of his all-American soldier daughter. She loved him dearly, and continued on with her military career after his retirement. Once graduated, she served time fighting Al Queda in the Middle East for about four years. Duty done, the military offered her a bonus on any job done in Europe. They neglected to tell her the purpose of of reassignment to Norway, but she took the money and ran. She now serves as the Vice Principal of the academy, remembering the days of gunshots and survival every morning while putting up her hair for work.
