Real Name: Darin Sochatchov

Personality: Darin is, quite frankly, not a nice person. He's rude, foul mouthed, short tempered and has a serious beef with authority figures. An impulsive man, he prone to picking fights and, well, just doing whatever the heck he wants in spite of the objections of others. This might stem more from his lack of experience dealing with people socially, as since he grew up in a hostile environment he's just naturally attuned to hostile responses. Don't take this to mean he's heartless though. Despite his out ward jerk behavior he is capable of showing brief concern for others, and during his crime sprees he did show enough restraint to actively avoid killing people.

Powers Description: Darin, or Arson if you prefer, has a body like a reactor. With it his flesh can go from normal temperatures the heat of a nuclear explosion in a matter of minutes. From that he can generate huge amounts of fire or even plasma, which he can manipulate the movements of by way of his pyrokinetic abilities. Arson hasn't actually fully practiced his powers to their fullest, never having been put in a lot of situations that push him to his limits. However its speculated that Arson could become a very dangerous individual with the right application and ingenuity of his powers.

Extended History: Darin didn't have the best background. He came from a poor family that had trouble finding work since they emigrated from the Balkins, which in turned caused his father to turn to drinking. As you can imagine that made his home life less than a happy one. This was made all the worst when he was abducted by a particular organization that that was experimenting with meta humans. He spent years being stabbed with needles, exposed to chemicals, and irradiated by various substances as the scientist involved twisted his DNA around like kittens with yarn. Unfortunately for them, their experiments on Darin worked a little too well, and they found their facility on fire and exploding when he finally found the means to escape.

After that Darin found himself in a place he didn't recognize and with no way home, so he turned to crime to survive. What followed was a long stream of busted up conveniences stores, back ally muggings, encounters with the police and lots of things burning. Eventually the people following the news of his actions decided label him "The Arsonist" on account of the fires that tended to follow him, which was later shortened to simply "Arson". While it seemed like he was living the good life mostly unopposed, he found things getting increasingly harder as more and more super heroes started popping up and he ended up in a lot of running fights and close calls.

Things took a weird turn recently though. One day he was passing through a town when he saw a building catch fire, for once not of his own doing. He ran in, thinking to take this chance to loot the place while everyone was panicking. However while he was inside he caught sight of a group of people trapped by the flames. He hesitated. Then on an act of impulsiveness he uncharacteristically rushed over to help them, using his innate control over fire to clear a path for the trapped victims. He immediately fled the scene before any supers could show up and make trouble for him, but he was apparently identified by one of the survivors he rescued. It wouldn't be until later that he learned that the governors daughter was among the people he rescued that day, and he suddenly found himself the media's darling.
