SPECIES
Mutant

ABILITIES

Mind Link: Ability to develop a mental link with any person which remains as a connection to that individual. This is generally used for communication and location purposes.

Telekinesis: Telekinetic abilities enable her to levitate herself or other objects, propel or manipulate them however she wishes, stimulate individual molecules to create heat, and generate concussive force or protective shields.

Telepathy: She can read or manipulate the minds of others and even higher order animals. This includes the creation of illusions that can deceive or cloak the presence of herself and other (this is limited by the number of people she is deceiving not the number of people she is cloaking). While she does have to potential to reach into the depths of a person’s mind and even take possession of their body like her mother, Liz is extremely wary of this power, and as such is one of her less developed skills.

Hand to Hand Combat: Proficient in a fist fight, but by no means an expert. Liz can hold her own with the average opponent when the situation calls for it, but she lacks the physical strength of her father to ever go toe to toe in that area with a strength based opponent.

Cloak Mind: Ability to rearrange the “mental engrams” of mutants so their distinctive mutant thought patterns cannot be detected by Cerebro-type devises or by other telepaths.

Psionic Shield: Ability to erect a psychic shield for protection of herself and of others minds.

Mental Paralysis: She can induce temporary mental or physical paralysis.

Mental Amnesia: She can erase any awareness of particular memories or cause total amnesia.

Mind Transferral: She can transfer both her mind and powers into other host bodies if her own physical body could be somehow killed.

Psionic Blast: She can project psionic force bolts which have no physical effects but which can affect a victim's mind so as to cause the victim pain or unconsciousness and turning someone brain-dead.

Astral Projection: She can project her astral form from her body onto Astral Plane or the physical plane. In the physical plane she can travel in astral form over vast distances. In the astral plane, she can mentally create psionic objects and manipulate the aspects of her environment. She can communicate with others astrally through her own will, or through contact with the thoughts and memories of others.

Mental Detection: She can sense the presence of another superhuman mutant within a small but as yet undefined radius of himself by perceiving the distinctive mental radiations emitted by such a being.

PERSONALITY
Liz Grey can often be described as a contradiction when it comes to her personality. On the exterior, she is calm, controlled, and detached. Anti-social in most situations with piercing eyes many perceive to be offputtingly invasive, Liz had few friends if any before joining Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark for their little schooling experiment. Internally however, as some of her fellow students have discovered first hand, Liz is a powder keg waiting to blow. Inheriting her father’s famous temper, Liz has never shied away from a fight (Sometimes she’s the one starting them.), and she has plenty of pent up rage fueling her on that front. It is a rage that part of her fears, the part that’s spent her entire life being coached and manipulated into maintaining strict control over her powers. Another part however, loves it, longs to throw off the restraints and her enforced limits and just be! The depth of this desire is something she keeps carefully hidden, and tries not to examine too closely.

Around her friends, Liz can be another person all together. While she’ll never win any congeniality contests or be outgoing, those in her circle know her to be rather funny in her own way, and even a bit of a show off. As for those who try to hurt the people she’s close to, beware. For all her control and restraints, Liz can be frighteningly unhinged when truly riled, and a violent force to be reckoned with. When it comes to romantic endeavors, Liz is not terribly experienced, but far from a blushing school girl. Being able to read people’s minds, and sometimes as a teen having little control over her abilities while around other horny teenagers, has left her pretty desensitized in that regard.

Liz’s relationship with adults, particularly authority figures however, is a bit more complicated. As an Omega level mutant of nearly prodigal potential, Liz has always been a talented student and quick learner. Personal feelings of violation and betrayal however have left Liz with a lack of willingness to trust in others, particularly other telepaths, and ruined relationships with the majority of the adult figures from her childhood. The notable exception to that is her father Logan, whom she remains close with.

Average Physical Strength for her Size and Gender {A.K.A. Pretty Puny Comparatively}

Occasionally Unstable: Liz has only been able to partially undo the work that Jean and Xavier did to her mind which, regarding her mental stability, arguably is doing more harm than good.

Explosive Temper: It can take a lot to get her to that point, but when Liz has an episode, she can be wild and reckless. This adds a level of ferocity to her combat style, but Liz is most effective (particularly as a telepath) when her head is on straight.

Mental Blocks: Liz still has portions of her memory, personality, and powers locked away within her mind where she can not access them,

HISTORYImage Image
The Phoenix had always been more attracted to Wolverine than she’d ever been to Scott Summers. Their attraction had been electric from the moment they met, even before Jean Grey and the Phoenix joined into a single entity. There was something primal and untamable about Logan that the Phoenix, starved for sensation and human experiences, simply craved. The affair was inevitable, one too many fights between Jean and Scott, a few too many vodka mixers, and years of pent up longing between two people who’d seen hell and then some and just needed to feel each other. Intimately.

Like an asteroid crashing to earth, the affair was brief and white hot. The split was far from mutual, but then Jean had always picked Scott over Logan. The Phoenix did not agree, but she was merely a part of Jean, and rarely in the driver’s seat. To everyone’s great surprise, and the happiness of few, Jean had unwittingly kept a souvenir from her time with Logan, and Elizabeth Grey was born into the world. Suddenly the Phoenix had yet another new experience to add to its growing collection; motherhood, and it latched on with relish.

Other details in Jean’s life became less important. Her marriage to Scott Summers was predictable and seemed utterly dull compared to the shining ember she’d helped bring life too. As a detached entity, traveling the universe as a cosmic entity, she had helped to create and destroy life on a scale infinitely grander than one small child. But in this form, as a part of Jean Grey, none of that compared. Like Jean, Lizzie was a telepath, a strong one. At night, the Phoenix would reach out to her with their bond, a fiery golden tether that linked their minds implicitly. Lizzie’s was too young, too untrained to consciously recognize the Phoenix as a distinct and separate presence yet, but Lizzie’s mind welcomed her eagerly nonetheless. The Phoenix had never known a greater happiness, nor a greater sorrow when they were separated.

Growing up, Liz had always known that Scott Summer’s resented her, maybe even hated her a little. He never said it or showed it directly in his actions, but there is very little of that nature you can hide from a telepath. To Scott, Liz was a constant reminder of Jean’s infidelity, Logan’s ability to give Jean something he couldn’t, and a shadowy glimpse at what might have been his in another life. It made living in the Summer’s household as a Grey a suffocating experience, even at a young age.

It helped that Liz was a telepath like her mother, at least in some ways. If she had taken after her father and his regenerative abilities, it would have just been salt in the wound. Some days, When Lizzie’s eyes were more green than blue, and the sun hit her hair just right that it brought out the copper highlights in her dark hair, Scott could even pretend she was his. At least for a little while.

Being a telepath helped, but it also presented its own set of problems. At the age of twelve, Liz was unnervingly powerful, just like her mother had been. This concerned everyone, except the Phoenix who remained disturbingly silent on the matter. Xavier began to come more often for “private lessons”, to gage the extent of the young mutant’s powers, and decide if blocks needed to be erected to ensure everyone’s safety. Logan, as always, remained her most vigil advocate. Lizzie’s case was different. Jean had been through trauma, witnessed and linked minds with a dying friend. Logan knew firsthand the pain and suffering that came from someone tampering with your head. He didn’t want that for his daughter, even if it was from the careful hand of Professor X. The adults relented, there seemed no imminent danger at the time. Funny, how history tends to repeat itself.

When Lizzie was thirteen, her best friend, Anna Cho, went missing. A week later her body was found in a drainage ditch near the city dump, her corpse bleached and stuffed in a trash bag like unwanted junk. Detectives inevitably came to question the friends and family, detectives who had seen and been haunted by the photographs and sight of the crime scene. Liz was a telepath, a young one inexperienced with erecting mental shields. Soon the photographs haunted her as well. Lizzie’s world became sadness, her own mixing with those around, her teacher, her friends, Anna’s family. It became an oppressive looming presence she could not escape. Until one day, she did not feel sadness, but cautiously optimistic pride. Instead of a crushing sense of loss and anguish, she sensed relief and glee. A month had past and no new leads. He knew the pattern, the signs of a waning investigation. Soon the case would go cold. He’d gotten away with it again.

One might think a grocery store is an odd place to meet a serial killer, but in a twisted way it made sense. Even the scum of the earth had to eat, and what better place for a predator to hunt children in plain sight. When Liz locked eyes with the man who’d killed and brutalized her best friend, she’d been expecting to see a monster who looked the part to match the pictures she couldn’t get out of her head. Instead she saw a beige sweater pulling a sad looking TV dinner out of the frozen section. There were no fangs or menacing eyes to match a bloody shirt proclaiming him the killer Lizzy knew him to be. Instead there was only the smiling face of Mr. Wilks Anna’s piano tutor from church.

In that moment, an omega level mutant lost control in a crowded suburban grocery store, mind in turmoil as weeks of pent up heartache, and helplessness, and rage exploded out of her. Sensing her distress, the Phoenix reached out through their bond, and a fraction of its power was suddenly at Liz’s disposal. The results were devastating for Mr. Wilks. By the time Jean and Scott where about to stop her, Liz had shredded his mind apart, and her own mental state was frenzied. After that, Logan’s protest fell on deaf ears as Xavier began erecting walls in Lizzie’s mind. With the Phoenix involved, and her mental state appearing so unstable, the X-Men feared the rising of a Dark Phoenix. The barriers limiting her powers were not enough.

Any memory of the incident needed to be erased, including Anna, and especially the Phoenix. Whole facets of Liz’s personality were locked away within her mind, as well as a great deal of her power. Even the memories of a comforting warmth that had been there all her life. Now she only felt cold. For years she languished this way, despondent and distant as part of who she truly was remained shut away and replaced with a blank space in her head. Control became her new mantra, her sessions with Jean and Xavier increasing as her blocked powers began slowly wiggling free. She was a good student, diligent, intelligent, and precise. Her inner fire, so dangerous to those around her, had appeared to be successfully contained. Until one day, it wasn’t.

Liz was seventeen when the first memory of Anna returned. What triggered it is anyone’s guess, but Logan has always put money on the pink sparkle bicycle with the white Barbie basket she saw on the way home from school. Her father had always had good memory regarding the timeline he could recall. Anna had a bike that looked just like it. Recovering her memories hadn’t been like on TV with amnesia where one bit of recognition had brought it all back. Her memory loss hadn’t been due to an injury, but rather purposeful tampering in her mind. Liz had been forced to carefully mine out every single memory she’d gotten back, every bit of her personality that now felt a foreign as an oversized glove. She felt too small and frail for it to belong to her, but hoped desperately to grow into it. Now, even three years later, Liz can still feel blank spots in her head, and some days just knowing that they’re there drives her crazy.

The day she remembered Anna had died, was the day Liz ran away. She didn’t trust her mother any longer, and she certainly didn’t trust Scott. Liz would never willingly let someone root about in her head ever again, and with the help of her father, she ended up with Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark. She’s been a “student”, at their academy ever since.

Lilith was training which was never really a hobby like it was for others but it was more of a necessity for her. So many others had some higher level of fighting skill or strength, meanwhile her powers could be countered and were based on manipulation. She needed physical power behind her small frame rather than rely on some superman, or someone of the sort to rescue her.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. It is now 13 00 hours. I have been requested to inform you that class will begin in 15 minutes on floor L1. Attendance is mandatory. Those whom do not attend will have to answer to Mr. Stark and Mr. Wayne." With that, she sighed out gently patting the boxing bag and threw on her cardigan. "Mr. Coulson would also like me to remind you that even the children of Mr. Stark and Mr. Wayne are subject to equal punishment for not attending. Thank you." She smiled slightly and moved to the elevator. L1. Behind her back, she entwined her own fingers together.

When she saw Alfred waiting, she tilted her head. "All good news I hope?" She gestured to the crate.
"That depends on how you care to interpret it. Your weapons will have to be temporarily surrendered from this point on, Miss Isley."
Her brows shot up with an amused smile. "Unlike my fellow acquaintances I don't play armed and paranoid carrying those objects around. Besides, not all weapons can be surrendered." She tapped her lips in hint then smiled sweetly. "May I pass?"
With an evident internal sigh and even roll of the eyes Alfred responded, "Go right ahead."
She brushed pass him, joining the others. She scanned her options as her pace slowed around the room. One row from the back would have to do her, seeing as the back row consisted of an interesting make-up. She turned her chair to face Enzo and Nathaniel.
And dear Enzo looked to be agitated. She smiled a little, assuming Aiden found some nerve switch of his but would quickly become preoccupied in Renee. For now though, she stayed quiet as a spectator, scanning the peculiar back row.

ImageThere was a random burst of air beside her, followed by Caleb to be revealed in the seat so casually and a big fat bright grin of his. Well it was only a guess of two when flying colors flashed towards people in here. Jai or Caleb.
She could only pray this would be one of their tame conversations, from whatever departed his mouth. Of course it bothered her to bits and probably other women that he countered his attractive looks by some of the things he said and boasting. Such a waste of potential. "Hey, Astrid. Thena. Training sesh at this time... What do you think's up with that?" He couldn't have said it in a more detached tone if he tried. But at least it was tame. Astrid glanced to Thena, seeing if she could magically provide some satisfactory answer for him. "Hi. And I don't know? Likely something physical and of mild intensity at the least." She supplied her response anyway.
"I should have had some coffee," she muttered as the likelihood kicked in.

Her eyes shifted back to the front of the class and she saw Magni giving Jai one of his lust for battle looks as he cracked his knuckles. She grabbed Caleb's arm ready to push him forward as interference if need be. "He's not actually going to hit him is he?" She asked wide eyed.

Max sat leaning back in his chair as he watched the others file in. First came Magni, his brutish Asgardian acquaintance. Magni went straight towards Wren and the front of the classroom. Max had previously noted their odd friendship. It didn't fit, yet they always seemed to be around one another. A few others filed in before he saw the first of the the people he uually sat with enter the classroom. It was Cree. Max smiled at her as she rushed towards him, talking about her latest robotics project. She was always so excited when it came to these things. Not that Max minded, she was the only one he could get extremely nerdy with. He appreciated that part of their friendship, along with the mutual trust they had built.

While Cree was telling Max about her robotic dog, Max saw Aiden and Ethan walk in. Aiden took up his usual place near the back. He never sat with them in class. Max wondered why, but Aiden was odd, and it was best not to question him. Max knew Aiden was there when he was needed. Ethan walked toward them and waited patiently for the topic to change. Max nodded to him, but lost focus when he saw Liz Natchios step into the classroom. Max and Liz had an odd relationship to say the least. He was definitely attracted to her. She was just a little bit over bearing. He had an idea that she was crushing on him. It took a lot to make Max commit though. He was too much of a flirt, and he didn't want to give that up for just anything. He pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind as she approached, and flashed his signature nervous smile towards her.

Max watched the rest of his fellow extra ordinary humans file in as small talk went on all around him. He was uncharacteristically quiet this morning. He was bothered by the fact that he was going to have to go into the training session without his suit. He always felt useless without it. Max knew he was still as smart, if not smarter, than anyone. He knew he could go fist to fist with most, but people like Magni and Bane would crush him. Those same people didn't dare try him when he had his suit on. They would much rather keep him as their ally. He just wasn't as confident without it. His inner musings were interrupted by the sight of Lilly entering the room. Max couldn't lie. He had a major thing for blondes. They weren't close or anything, but he always smiled anyways when he saw her. Max looked away and returned to his thoughts.

"I thought you could not become ill? How would you have the plague?" Magni said before sniffing the air and adding, "And as for your odor, it is no more unpleasant than the next human." Wren almost did a double take at the comment not knowing if she should feel insulted or laugh. So she laughed, "Glad to know that I only stink like all the other 'puny mortals'." She said it in her best Magni impersonation. "Because... You know, Asgardians smell like Japanese cherry blossom." Ok so she'd be lying if she said Magni didn't smell pleasant like most men. It was apparent that not all Earthly things were foreign to him, such as showers and deodorant.

"Yes, the Iliad. Sometimes referred to as the Song of Ilion, or the Song of Ilium. By the author Homer. Depicting the destruction of Troy. Father thought it best if I was familiar with human literature. I do not see the point in it. Greeks are so......dramatic. A feeble people to be sure." Wren nodded her head in slight surprise at his knowledge of the subject. "You know Oh brutish one, that learning about other cultures is important... Like the Trojan horse. Ingenious idea if you think about it. Hiding in a structure depicting a religious matter to gain entrance to an impenetrable city." Wren knew Magni was stubborn and thought he was perfect in his knowledge the way he is. But everyone can learn something knew. "Even you can learn a thing or 2 from Earth's history.

"No. I have already decided to sit here. I shan't move. You are as adequate company as the next. You are as uninteresting to me as the next." Wren scoffed, resting her arm on the back of the chair before her as Magni motioned towards the room. "Well don't you just know how to make a girl feel special? "Besides, what evidence do you have that you are the reason they avoid sitting up here? Perhaps it is me. Not that I care. Makes no difference to me if you, or anyone sits near me." Wren leaned towards him slightly, raising a curious brow. "So if you don't care if anyone sits near you... Then why choose to sit next to me? After all, I'm as 'uninteresting' as everyone else in here." He could play his tough act all he wanted but Wren knew that somewhere in there was a normal caring person. Plus people don't just choose to sit next to her unless they like her because she's annoying.

Wren knew Jai had entered before seeing him. Between the quick breeze of air, books knocking over then to the rapid fire at Coulson. It was only a matter of time before his attention shot in her direction. "Hi Wren. Nice bra. Is it new? I like it." Hell of a way to start a conversation. Wren glanced down at her bra, tugging at the top of it before looking back up at him. "Makes me think of this dream I had that you were in except the bra was coconuts and the coconuts were a lot smaller because that make the dream better. It still looks nice though. But you always look nice since your hot. I'm hot too. If we're both hot, that means we should make babies so that way the world gets more hotness. But I don't want babies. Babies are gross and I'm still sort of a baby because of that whole speed force thing. So no babies. What are you and Magni talking about?"

Wren shook her head, laughing. "First of all... FUCK! Man seriously!? You're dreaming of me in a tiny cocoanut bra!?" She raised her hand to smack him in the back of the head. "And you do realize making babies involves conception? With your speed you'd be what?... Done in 5 seconds, give or take. So how would someone who couldn't make it past half a minute supposed to work with someone who has stamina so high that they never sleep? Think on that for a minute." She grinned teasingly, "I need someone like Terminator over here." Wren playfully smacks Magni's bicep. "And we're talking about Magni's pent up unconditional love for me... It's quite moving."

Happy that it wasn't her turn anymore, Wren grabbed the back of the chair and leaned back so that Jai and Magni could see each other. "Magni, you're like super strong, right? Would yo let me punch you? Alex was telling me some thing about force and how if I run super fast, I can make enough force to knock out a god and you're sort of a god so can I punch you and see if it works?" Wren started cracking up laughing before Magni could speak. She knew Magni would kick his ass. "My strength knows no bounds, and I am a God. Very well. Only if you give me the same curtsy. I wish to see a human body turned into a puddle." Wren wouldn't actually mind it if they fought except for the fact she would almost guarantee that Jai would loose. And she liked the kid on occasion. "Did you know that Magni is a god? I didn't know that. It's not like he says it nearly every time he speaks." Wren grinned deviously towards Magni.

Phil sat somewhat patiently at the desk in the front of the classroom, strumming his fingers along the wooden surface. He wouldn't admit out loud that he was happy that class today was going to be brief... Well at least the portion including him. He glanced down at his watch. Upon seeing the time, Phil cleared his throat which got Alfred's attention. With their gaze met, he motion his index and middle finger beckoning Alfred to come join him. Luckily for Alfred, the crate containing the abundance of weapons was on wheels so he was easily able to roll in into the classroom and up to the front beside the desk. Phil then put up his hand motioning for everyone in the room to quiet down. "It's time to begin. Whomever isn't here... Well hopefully they show up before the training begins or they'll get an automatic failure for the exercise."

He looked over towards Alfred who then began to speak. "I know you all are less than content with the collection of your weaponry and gadgets upon entry. But for the sake of the exercise today we are limiting everyone to their basics... Which is quite literally the clothes on your back." Alfred reopens the crate before the classroom, "I apologize," He clears his throat, "Ms. Luther, your gauntlets and contact lenses if you have them in. Mr. Stark, your suit will have to remain in the classroom during the exercise. And Ms. Wakandas, Dumisami must either wait in the room during the exercise or return to your penthouse." Alfred addressed each of the students as he spoke. "If I have missed anything, or one of you are trying to pull a fast one on me please have some shred of decency to place the items in the crate." He motioned towards the crate before facing Phil slightly.

"Alright then," Phil spoke up once again, "As you guys can very well assume today's class time and training is nothing like our ordinary classes. Well, if you can call them ordinary. Out of the kindness I have allowed you all extra time to sleep in... or do whatever it is you all do in the mornings." He made a shooing motion with his hand before continuing, "This exercise is going to test you all on varying levels that will exploit your weakest levels. Alfred and I have been around you all a long time. At least, long enough to know what each of your strengths and weaknesses are."

Before Phil felt like he was going to completely loose their attention, he decided to cut to the chase. "So today you all will be Saving the Civilian." It didn't take long for Wren to chime in, "What?... Like that cheesy movie with Kurt Russell?" Phil sighed, nodding his head, "In theory yes. Alfred and I have spent a very long time preparing this particular exercise. You all will be given a partner and arena. Once in your given arena's everyone is given 5 minutes to save the civilian." It sounded simple enough right? Leave it to Wren to catch on, "... What's the catch?"

Phil smiled, which was indeed a rare sight. "Your partners have been decided upon by Alfred and I. Powers, relationships and abilities have effected how we decided to split you all up. For example some are because you have conflicting personalities, similar powers, no powers, genius level I.Q.s, etc... Then each pairing has had their particular arena designed specifically for them to test them in different areas depending on their own skill set and weaknesses."

Before concluding, Alfred held up his index finger to interject. "You are given only 5 minutes to save your civilian. If you fail to save them in the time frame or do not work together you will fail the exercise. And those that take in prohibited objects such as weapons, enhancements or anything other than the clothes you are wearing you will get an immediate failure..." Then Phil added, "And you will not be allowed to attend the dance Saturday night." He crossed his arms over his chest to show that he wasn't kidding before asking, "Any questions?"

Image"Hi. And I don't know? Likely something physical and of mild intensity at the least." Astrid responded. He nodded along and shrugged. He didn't even have a guess or care much for one. Whatever happened, happened. They were along for the ride once they entered the classroom. And Caleb was fairly certain he could take whatever came his way. "I should have had some coffee," she added after a moment.
"Maybe you should have." He agreed. "Obviously you need whatever substance you can to be in peak condition." He smirked at her.

When Astrid grabbed his arm he looked down at her hand then up at her startled face. "He's not actually going to hit him is he?" Caleb followed her gaze to see Magni and Jai and Wren just kicking back. Magni looked moments away from throwing a punch, that much was right. "I don't know. Depends." To finish any prompts of what, he continued. "It depends if Jai moves fast enough or if Magni's that determined to hit him." He replicated a casual shrug and smile. Little fights were entitled to break out in the academy. Not everyone saw eye to eye and some people would literally ask to test the others skill. He didn't need his super hearing to gather that was likely the case. If it were a heated instance, the room would be upside down.

Phil begun his speech up the front of the class and Caleb glanced to Astrid. "Relax." She was such a den mother. When his ears caught to save the civilian. They didn't even get to pick their partners from a hat. Again, he looked to his closest company hearing Phil announce the pairs are based on relationships and similar power. The arena accounting for their strengths and weaknesses. Astrid and he struggled to work together so he was a little worried they'd be at each other's throat for this one. "Good guess," he muttered. He rolled his eyes back to the front and awaited the pairing.

Image"What a depressing sight." Matt simply cocked his head back to confirm the face to the voice he was familiar with and grinned. "Hey, stranger." He admittedly thought himself a little more clever than he was for playing on her name in that way. "I'm sorry my face makes you feel that way. But me and Casper go way back. And we have a silent bond and you're actually ruining this intimate moment." He shifted in his seat to look at her from a more comfortable position, making a show of wrapping his arm around the spare seat. "How have you been today anyway?" His grin returned and poor act dropped.

Pretty soon, Phil was gaining the students attention, causing him to turn back to the front. He didn't entirely like what was being said about exploiting weaknesses but at least he was outright about it. And then like Wren had asked he was waiting for the real punch line. "Er, that doesn't sound promising," he commented quietly. "We're pretty much an even pair right?" He asked Adrienne, though his focus shifted so intensely she could have crept away by that time. He just wanted to delude hope and be paired with someone he could have at least half trust. "Any questions?" Matt looked around. He personally had none for the moment but there were always those productive ones that he didn't think of until they were brought up.

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. It is now 13 00 hours. I have been requested to inform you that class will begin in 15 minutes on floor L1. Attendance is mandatory. Those whom do not attend will have to answer to Mr. Stark and Mr. Wayne." Alex initially ignored him. She didn't care for showing up to class today she wasn't I the mood and she could simply use Bruce to her advantage this time. "Mr. Coulson would also like me to remind you that even the children of Mr. Stark and Mr. Wayne are subject to equal punishment for not attending. Thank you." Alex tossed in her bed. "Fuck."

"The one time a month I actually get sleep in and this fucking school is making me show up to class." Alex mumbled as she pushed herself out of bed. Her bed was hardly ever used and went back in it's little hiding compartment once she was out. Her penthouse had a very futuristic feel to it with hand scanners to deploy the hidden features of the room, her own lab, and a complete weapons arsenal that was enough to make Deadpool wet. She put her hand on one of the panels and a door slid open. She slipped into her closet and changed before popping back out and taking her pick on weapons for today.

Alex went into her weapons room next to decide what toys she wanted for the day. She grabbed her favorite Colt 1911 and strapped it to the left side of her hip and also grabbed the tiny but still deadly Colt Mustang. Her 1911 held actual bullets in it while she used the Mustang as another way to concentrate her starbolts through. The amount of blades she grabbed next were too many to count and she finished it off with a few little bombs and gadgets of hers.

Now that she was loaded up, it was time to head to class.

Alex must've had terrible timing because once she was in the elevator... He was there. Alex stared forward and did her best to ignore him. "Well, well, well... What do we have hear." Alex attempted to try and listen to anything else but him but it didn't work. She just needed to keep her cool for long enough. Though that was unlikely. And of course, he continued to antagonize her. "You're dressed a lot like your father today. Is it a special occasion? His birthday, perhaps? Do tell so I can run a little message along to him." He began to laugh and Alex clenched her fists as he continued. "Though I'm not sure he's in any position to be receiving messages." He pointed at the ring around her neck that belonged to Jason.

That was it. Alex wasn't going to take the high road.

Alex spun around and landed a fist square onto his nose. Junior flew to the back of the elevator laughing with a very much broken and bloody nose. "Tsk tsk, Alex. What would Bruce think?" The elevator stopped at their floor and Alex grabbed him by his green shirt before tossing him out onto the floor and then hitting him with another Tamaranean punch. All Junior did was laugh.

Alex picked him up again and punch him scared in the Jaw. She made sure it was hard enough to make him slam against the classroom doors. Alex then tackled him they both came crashing through the door. Junior was actually fighting back at this point for the sake of getting out. He landed a few good hits on Alex but he looked much worse than her. Alex punched him again and then lifted him up with her Mustang up under his chin and it began to glow green. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't blast your head off right now."

"I can give you three." It was Coulson. "One, you'll go to Arkham Prison... Again. Two, you get to deal with the Wrath of Bruce. And three, no dance for you." Alex let go of Junior only because of the threat for going to prison. The others didn't phase her.

Alfred came in front of her with a bin. "You're weapons, Master Todd." Alex was reluctant to give up her babies but she did eventually comply. She put her two guns in first before taking off her blaster. Now it was time to grab her knives. She took out one that was tied around her neck and under her shirt, another small one hidden in her sleeve, the throwing stars in her inside jacket pocket, the one strapped horizontally on the back of her belt, another in her pocket, and two in her boots. Alfred shook the bin. "Everything." Alex sighed and grabbed the bombs she hid in her jacket and the other gadgets she was hoping to test today. "You will also have to change shows, Miss." Of course Alfred would know she had hidden blades that popped out in her boots.

Alex took off her boots and tossed them into the bin when she caught sight of a pair of sneakers. She put them on and they were exactly her sixe. He came prepared. Alex thought before she moved over to her group of friends. It felt weird having eyes on her thanks to the entrance she made but she just ignored them. She saw Jai and Magni still standing up like they too were ready to throw down. Alex folded her arms. "The fuck are you guys staring at? Get your dumb asses in those chairs before I decide to make you both look worse than Junior." It was clear Alex was not in a good mood and nor did she feel like with any retaliation from anyone. She was one wrong step away from blasting someone's head off. The only one safe would be Wren who now sat on her right while Jai was seated to her left. Wren was one of the very select few safe from her wrath.

Alex looked back to see Junior taking his bloody self next to his boyfriend, Enzo, with a huge smirk spread across his face. He began to whisper something into his ear but Alex decided not to listen in. It was probably perverted and something she really didn't want to hear. Instead she tried to focus on class and not get kicked out this time.

"Well now that that is all taken care of... Your pairings." Phil walked back around the desk, flipping open the file folder that rested on top of the wooden surface. After a minute of fingering through papers, he grabbed a single page with an "Ah ha!" He moved back around towards the front of the desk, leaning back against it. "Well seeing as to how we are missing a few students there will be slight modifications to the pairings... And there will be one group of 3 instead of 2. I'll say the names of each group, and the floor number you will report to. Each floor has been configured to the arena designed for your particular group. The simulation won't start until you all are in the rooms with the doors shut. Until that point each area will look like a simple concrete room."

Phil could tell the students were slightly impatient to know who they were partnered with. But before that, Coulson wanted to leave them waiting a bit more. "Just a reminder... You all have only 5 minutes to save your civilian. And that can be a completely different task depending on the arena. It can vary between saving them, freeing them, protecting them or just reaching them. If your civilian dies, then you fail. Although they are just dummies, a shot through the head or falling into a pit of fire will kill them." He holds up his index finger, "If you die it will also result in a failure." Phil then proceeded to answer the question before it was asked, "And yes it is more than possible for you to die in there."

Mr. Coulson then proceeded to name off the pairings and floor numbers from his document.

OOC: Phil is only telling everyone their partners and floors. The arena descriptions is just for you all to know what it will be like when their simulations start in case you need to plan out what is going to happen in PMs or if you need to ask me any questions :)

Max stayed in his thoughts until Phil started talking. He hardly noticed the commotion between Joker Jr. and Alex. Not that it really mattered to him, he didn't really care too much for either of them. Alex was a bitch, and Jr. was the definition of evil. Max didn't have to wait very long for Phil to reveal his partner considering his name was in the first pairing. "Max and Astrid will be on LL29." Max couldn't help but crack a smile. He had no problem with Astrid. He wasn't sure how they were going to handle a challenge though. He didn't have his suit, and she was without her shield. Max could think fast and fight normal people, but that was nothing special. Astrid was still insanely talented, but neither one had really cool powers on their own. Nothing like Caleb, or Magni, or Olivia. Max was okay with it though. At least he wasn't paired with a gang green member.

He stayed in his seat and heard some pretty interesting pairings. He couldn't help but turn around and smirk at Liz when she was paired with Kain. He knew that would be interesting. He felt bad for Aiden, having to work with Enzo. He chuckled at the pairing of Anansi and Joker Jr. Anansi would love it. Jai seemed excited at drawing Lilith. Who wouldn't be? When Phil finished, Max walked towards the back of the room towards Astrid.

"Let's go Misses Cap." he said with a smile as he held his hand out to help her up. "It's not the world yet, but let's go save a dummy."

Cameron looked up, his face impassive, neither pleased nor displeased with his pairing, it was the assignment that bothered him. Without his rings, he wouldn't be much use, physically. He could always call his rings, they could come to him, no matter where he was in the universe, but no, this was a lesson, and so he'd have to relay on his mind.

"Come" Cameron looked up to see Nathaniel standing before him, and it was in that same moment, he grabbed him by the shoulder and half dragged him out of the door. Cameron snatched away from him. His face calm but his eyes burning. The rings in the cart began to glow. He calmed himself as best he could, so they wouldn't come to him. "If you want this to work, and I can only assume that you do, this is not the way to begin." he said, and he could hear Thaal in his voice. "Without my rings, I will not be much use physically, but I believe I have the mind for problem solving, if you are willing to listen to instruction." He said, and adjusted his shirt. "Now, I do not believe you to be a complete brunt, completely being the operative term, and for the time being, let us use own minds and complete our task." He said and started ahead, his hands already missing the weight of the rings.

Anansi was frozen as she played her name and his over and over again just in case she heard it wrong. Maybe it was Jai, and she just misheard it somehow but no, it was there. Joker Jr, right next to her name. "For real?" She said and sighed. Of all the people, in all the world, she had to be paired with him...Schzio the Clown.
She sighed, running her hands through her curly mane as she turned to her friends.
"If I die, It's his fault, and I want you all to take revenge, okay?" She said and was only half kidding. Sure, most of his pranks were harmless....ish, they weren't violent, but he was far too unpredictable for her to trust that they'd stay that way.
Reluctantly, she stood up and walked over to her 'partner'"C'mon, Slappy." She said, gesturing to him to come. "Let's get this over with." She said and already starting walking green mile toward the Elevator. "If you pull anything, remember, Electric venom...couldn't put it in the cart." she said they steeped into the elevator with wave of her fingers, which buzzed and popped with electricity.

If you die in there Anansi, I’ll rip him apart in ways even he can’t find funny. Liz swore mentally though their connection, though her eyes were fixed on the clown. The reassurance had been for Anansi’s benefit, but she made sure Jr. could hear it too. Liz was not as inherently hostile toward their resident joker as Anansi. The two had a grudging respect for the other’s capabilities, and while Liz would never call him a friend, there was a kind of secret appeal to sparing with someone no holds. Occasionally, their little game could even be entertaining, but if even one trigger happy finger was directed threateningly toward Anansi, Liz had no qualms practicing her telekinesis on Jr. Contorting him into a human pretzel was an art he might even appreciate.

As her companions began to move off toward their own partners, Liz directed her attention to her own unfortunate match up. There certainly were weaker or more volatile partners she might have been matched with, but Adrienne Strange had a way of getting under her skin. For some people, it would never matter that Liz craved the feeling of quiet in her own mind that most sane people took for granted, and it certainly didn’t matter that Liz almost never had the motivation or desire to dig through someone’s head past the surface thoughts she could never fully drown out. To them, the mere fact that she could do it was enough to make them cringe away from her, and it was a feeling she loathed. People with secrets, or even just an intense sense of privacy, would always resent her for something she hadn’t done or couldn’t control.

Even in those years she’d spent at her lowest, a mere shadow of herself within her own home, guarded eyes had followed her steps. And Scott Summers had so many secrets. His affair with Emma was one, shameful and partially known, except just how long it had gone on. Then there was the hypocritical resentment he felt toward Jean for the affair she’d had with Logan. Jean knew of course, at least partially, but then her shield were so much better than that of the younger budding telepath in his house, and mind reading was bad for a marriage. Whether purposely overlooked, or willfully ignored, the sheer depth of his bitterness was a subject locked tightly away. But of all those secrets, the one Scott Summers had always been the most afraid Liz would uncover, the one he knew Jean would never forgive him for, was that he wished she had died. Liz had been conceived, carried to term, and born while Jean was in the Phoenix state. No one had known if a human baby could even survive through that process, and Scott Summers had hoped, prayed even, that she wouldn’t. A part of him had always known, even then, that he wasn’t the forgiving type. Living with a constant reminder what Jean had done would make doing so impossible, but Scott couldn’t live without Jean. Liz always found it ironic that the only reason she knew any of that, was because he spent so much time worrying she’d see it within his mind in the first place.

I’ll meet you on our floor. Liz spoke in Adrienne’s mind as she headed for the door. The threat of being banned from the dance didn’t really faze Liz, but Anansi would want to go, date or not, and wouldn’t like it if all her friends weren’t there. Because of that, she wanted this exercise to go off without a hitch. And try not to cringe. We don’t know what we’ll be facing in there. Telepathic communication may be a vital advantage.

As far as graceful recoveries were concerned, Cree had managed better. Clinging to a chair like some chick with aviophobia before practically leaping away in front of a boy whose freckles she’d spent a bit too much time fantasizing about, only served to magnify her embarrassment. Ethan’s friendly concern was sweet, but didn’t do much to disguise the reddening of her cheeks, especially since it clashed with her hair.

He got up from his chair as she hit the floor, he moved over to her, clearing over-reacting about the current situation, "Are you alright, Cree?"

”Me? Yeah, fine, downright peachy! Utterly unbothered by…spontaneous lack of gravity…so cool…” Cree trailed off, eyes locking with Ethan’s. Would he be offended if I told him he had puppy dog eyes? That’s usually a compliment right? They’re all cute and brown and totally innocent looking. Honestly, who hates dogs, it’s totally a compliment!

Cree was luckily spared from uttering said compliment as Coulson detailed what their assignment was going to be for the day. Save the civilian was hardly an original training premise, but it was a classic. What really got her attention though, was Coulson’s banning of even her most basic tech, which meant she was going in totally blind. It was a situation she hardly found fair, and she pouted all the way through stripping off her gauntlets and taking out her contacts. At the mention of a dance however, Cree perked up, eyes straying to the closest Drake twin in his very casual duds. It was a pleasant thought for after class though, as the groups were announced and the crowd began to thin. Cree waved bye to Ethan and wished Max good luck, especially as they found themselves in roughly the same boat, before moving toward her teammates. As a rare group of three, there was a tactical advantage the Cree intended to capitalize on. Part of her wondered though, if that meant their course would be more challenging than average. Cree supposed they’d soon find out.

“Interesting match up here huh? You guys are both mutants, so that’s a plus. For sure, that’ll be good for any heavy lifting if there’s a combat element involved. I’ve been effectively neutered on that end, but I’m guessing if they threw me in the mix there’s likely to be some kind of tech based component. Any thoughts?” Cree asked immediately as she approached her teammates.

"Switch." To be quite frank, to accept such an offer would have been one of Adrienne's more cheerfully conducted exertions. As she read the name of her partner-to-be, her mood turn sour immediately, and a small segment of her mind flared with a grudging amusement. Quite a sense of humor you have, Coulson. Her comment was mental, and yet the tone managed to be bitter, and it was only afterwards that she remembered that such thoughts were free to view, thanks to a certain mutant's powers.
Her partner's powers.
I’ll meet you on our floor. Adrienne flinched, the words appearing in her mind out of nowhere, the voice attached to them one she'd rather not her. And try not to cringe. We don’t know what we’ll be facing in there. Telepathic communication may be a vital advantage.
Adrienne scoffed churlishly, Perhaps. But until we find out, stay out.
She wasn't certain that Elizabeth had heard her, but she didn't doubt it much. Elizabeth had a nasty knack for hearing things.

With a morose sigh, Adrienne turned to the door, and made her way to the elevator. Her narrow finger pressed down on the button, and as the light above the door ticked down to her floor, her eyes fell upon a fist-shaped dent in the metal. Magni. Moron. The elevator doors slid open, and Adrienne stepped in, the dent in the wall stretching and smoothing straight as she passed it by.

Approaching Elizabeth, her steps were strong and sharp, feet colliding with the floor in harsh taps. It didn't take a mind reader to know that neither were happy to be there. And yet, much to Adrienne's chagrin, they had one.

"Let's get this over and done with." Adrienne glanced at her partner only briefly, before opening the door and stepping into the chamber.

"Let's get this over and done with." Adrienne glanced at her partner only briefly, before opening the door and stepping into the chamber.

“I couldn’t agree more.” Liz replied coolly as she followed her partner inside their designated arena. Initially, the room was shrouded in darkness, making the clicking lock of the door sound all the more ominous. As the lights flashed on and illuminated the simplicity of their surroundings, the gravity vanished, leaving Liz and her partner floating in the air with a large metal sphere. Whether Adrienne liked it or not, Liz had no intention of letting them float about aimlessly. Without gravity it was even easier than usual for Liz’s telekinesis to move both herself and Adrienne about, and after righting their positions, Liz moved them cautiously toward the sphere.

“The civilian must be in there. There isn’t anywhere else in the room they could be kept.” Liz murmured quietly to her partner, eyes fixed on the sphere. The glint of the metal was unique, and anyone who’d been trained under the tutelage of Tony Stark regarding trends in combative metals knew what Vibranium looked like.

“That…is a problem.” Vibranium repelled kinetic energy, even if it was telekinetic, and in zero gravity any energy repelled back at them would meet with far less resistance and do more damage. They’d have to tread carefully. For time’s sake, Liz shared her analysis telepathically with her partner, quietly asking for input. “Have you ever used your magic on vibranium before?”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Image
”Apply energy the right way, and it can be devastating.” Cree Replied to Renee’s denial of strength. Lack of physical bulk didn’t negate Renee’s usefulness or strength in a well-rounded sense in their upcoming challenge. Applied energy was definitely something Cree could work with, it would just depend what they were working with. When the conversation turned toward her father, the young genius was uncharacteristically quiet, but shrugged in non-commitment. What exactly did one say about a father like Lex Luthor? Master manipulator and cripplingly ambitious were probably more accurate descriptions of the man, but why drag that kind of muck up?

“Well for sure, but unless I’m arms deep in electrical circuits, I’m not going to be the best person to have in a fight if things get physical.” Cree shrugged, but accepted the praise from her teammates without much protest. She wasn’t trying to be down on herself, just analytical. Knowing the limits of ones capabilities and how to supplement for them was the first step in any good strategy. Renee and Kamaria were being nice of course, it was in their nature, but Cree still knew who had the superhero muscles so to speak in this situation.

“I wouldn’t miss it!” Cree called, grinning as she raced to catch up with her boisterous teammates. The crowd had begun to thin out, but she spared a wave toward the better looking of the Drake twins as she left. They’ve got to be recording these things right? How else could they be watching all the rooms at once and evaluate us? I could totally hack through the main firewall and watch his match, just to see how he did! That wouldn’t be too stalker-ish right? …Nah, I’m probably fine.

ADRIENNE STRANGE

It really is a surreal feeling, that of being suspended in the air, weightless. Adrienne had experienced the sensation more than once during the many grueling exercises that she and her fellow classmates had been put through, but never less felt a small pulse of pleasure as her feet left the ground, and she began to twirl languidly through the air. The feeling came to an abrupt halt as she felt her body being steadied and straightened. In any other case, Adrienne wouldn't mind, but in her opinion, any action her so-called 'partner' committed became infinitely more irritating, whether it was necessary or not.

"The civilian must be in there. There isn’t anywhere else in the room they could be kept." Adrienne looked towards the silvery sphere, and scoffed, replying in a low voice that did more than skirt on sarcasm. "You don't say." Deep down, she was perfectly aware that she needed to get along with Elizabeth, but she couldn't help it. Whenever the girl entered her mind, her thoughts were riddled with bitter undertones. Adrienne was not a talker. She was a private soul, one that preferred to be left to her own thoughts. But around Elizabeth, they weren't her own thoughts. They were just another book in the mind-reader's library, free to read.

As Elizabeth moved them towards the orb, Adrienne's interest piqued, and suddenly she was engrossed. She reached out a hand, fingers straying across the vibranium. Within most metals, one would often see a slight imperfection, a crease or a bump or a mar. But this creation was seamless and smooth. It shimmered flawlessly in the fluorescent lighting. It was beautiful.

"That…is a problem. Have you ever used your magic on vibranium before?" Adrienne didn't look up, as she was too busy studying the metal. She'd been pining for at least a small piece for years, but its rarity had ensured that it was near-impossible to get ahold of. Perhaps Coulson would allow her a segment after the trial? She'd certainly pressed the query enough in the past.

A smirk tugged at her lips, and she finally replied, albeit still with her eyes on the metal, and her voice slightly distant. "I've been wanting to."

Her hands became firm, placed on the vibranium, fingers splayed, and her brows knotted in concentration. She remembered the actual mission in afterthought, her mind focused on testing her own abilities against the legendary metal. "Can you place a telekinetic shield around the civilian?"

Liz wasn’t blind to her partner’s subtle insult as they examined their civilian’s prison, but she said nothing. Instead, she elevated them up slightly to a higher vantage point, overlooking the sphere. Keeping bother herself and her partner steady while simultaneously projecting a shield around the civilian and potentially themselves if any energy reflected back their way, would take a tremendous amount of focus. Maintaining that focus for long, would be no small feat, but it was doable. At least Liz hoped anyway.

“We’re about to find out.” Liz replied cryptically, as she began to form the shield around the civilian. It was more difficult to do so without a visual of the civilian itself, or even a mind to reach out to in order to anchor herself. She tried to visualize the training dummies they’d used in other simulations, riddled with scorch marks, bullet wounds, and all manner of other sign of the day to day wear and tear one could only find in a school like theirs. Her mind’s eye latched upon the imagery, creating a human shaped bubble around the dummy while trying not to touch the sphere itself.

“It’s secured.” Liz intoned absently to her partner, careful not to break her concentration. Waves of power seemed to roll off her in that moment, Liz’s eyes flashing an eerie gold. Liz could feel the magic rolling off her Adrienne as well, excitement and anticipation disturbing her normally cool and collected aura. Liz didn’t pretend to know anything about magic, but she hoped that emotion would aid her partner’s powers and not conflict with it. They were working with a number of uncertainties with this plan, ranging from Adrienne’s inexperience manipulating Vibranium, to Liz’s own volatility and unpredictable limitations with her own powers. Liz just hoped that if this went sideways, she would have the focus to insulate them from any rebounding concussive blasts. There was a reason vibranium was so dangerous to work with.

After all of the simulations have come to an end, studies have finished for the day. Phil and Coulson attended to taking any injured students to the Infirmary while students were allowed to move about casually for the rest of the day.

Wren, more than anyone, was happy to be finished with that damn simulation. After all, the stakes of the dance were resting on her passing that stupid test and she nearly died from it. Totally not cool, and this asshat thought it was funny to write me up almost dying. Figures. Safe to say that she was in need of some serious party therapy.

"J.A.R.V.I.S.!!!" She shouted up at the ceiling as she walked through the halls of the giant building. "Yes Ms. Wilson" "I do believe it is announcement time my fine robotic fellow." She smirked. J.A.R.V.I.S. seemed to hesitate before responding, "Ms. Wilson might I just inform everyone per protocol?" Wren held up her index finger in argument. "You promised!" If robots and A.I.s could give sass, you better believe he did before his voice came in over the P.A. system throughout the building. "Good evening. Ms. Wilson would like me to inform you asshats that she is throwing a killer party in her penthouse. She'd like me to also say that you should 'be there or be square' and that it will be a party that only boring twats won't join..." He groaned, if that's even possible. "Thank you."

Wren was practically rolling on the ground as J.A.R.V.I.S. read the prescripted announcement she gave him. She probably had Phil and Alfred gunning for her but she didn't care. Because she also got J.A.R.V.I.S. to act as bouncer to her party and no one can enter without a mandatory tequila shot. Take that superiors! Now that that was taken care of, she had to round up her posse, so she made her way to the Infirmary.

It only took Wren a few minutes to reach the appropriate floor. She then whipped out her phone and started blasting that one song from Risky business that no one ever knows the name of, they just remember Tom Cruise half naked dancing. Once it was playing, she tucked her phone in her bra and prepared herself. When the timing was right she slid to a stop at the center of the entrance leading to the room Alex and Jai were held up in. "This is for you shitheads..." She pointed to them both before putting on her sunglasses and dancing to the song.

When the song came to an end, she threw her shades and made a pose. "I know, I know... Don't swoon because I won't catch you." Once Wren was done being full of herself, she shoved either one of them on the shoulders. "Come on bitches we have a party to get to... Mine!"

Boxers and lingering sand

Enzo was over everything. The incompetence of his partner left his angrier then when he started... And more naked. If Aiden had the balls to cross his path in the next century, he'd lose some important appendage in the blink of an eye. He stood in the hall outside his arena, trying to dust a majority of the lingering sand from his fit frame when he heard J.A.R.V.I.S.'s announcement. "Good evening. Ms. Wilson would like me to inform you asshats that she is throwing a killer party in her penthouse. She'd like me to also say that you should 'be there or be square' and that it will be a party that only boring twats won't join... Thank you."

He shook his head while chuckling to himself. Enzo couldn't help but wonder what Wren had to do to get J.A.R.V.I.S. to agree to saying that over the intercom. He figured he nothing better to do, and alcohol and partying seemed like a fine way to end a day like the one he just had. So he made his way to towards the elevator trying to decide if he should round up Junior or just go to his room. As he stood there waiting for the slowest machine in this damn building, he shook the sand from his hair. "God it's going to take 5 showers to get this shit off." He mumbled to himself.

Julia smiled as he talked some more about 'Uncle Rocket', she found it sort of cute that he called him that, but she wouldn't dare point it out to him, he'd twist it and she never hear the end of how she thinks he's cute. He then gave her a confused look and her eyes widened as she awaited his question to clear his confusion. "Well that joke completely flopped." She gave him a teasingly exasperated look. "As my PA, you're supposed to just laugh at all my jokes and bring me expensive coffee that I've to tell you is terrible." She then rolled her eyes and chuckled. "I called you Jake Feather, because bosses typically forget their PAs names and you're my PA because you said you'd remind me to have a 'meeting with my father'... Much like how a PA would put a meeting in a diary." She sighed as she realised how bad the joke was.

Julia was surprised at how well he'd translated what she'd said, even if it was with the aid of technology, had he of spoke to her in an alien language she'd of tried to use magic to translate it, so she wasn't going to fault him on it. "Being from outer space, you mustn't have had the wonders of McDonald's? It is the classiest and most delicious dinner of them all." She chuckled in response to his question. "I kid, but you're talking to a girl who can literally take you anywhere on Earth, I mean I could push it and try Universe, but that'd take quite a lot of effort."

Julia visibly shuddered as she reached for the shot and downed it without hesitation, had she of hesitated they'd probably have been there for an hour try to just convince her to take it and then another half an hour on her actually taking it. She clasped her hand across her mouth and shuddered again. "I hate Wren." She managed to whimper, she knew the pain at the back of her throat would subside in a few seconds but she still hated the sensation of shots.

Julia chuckled at Jack's rant about the party and then she picked up on him using the short form of her name and laughed at him. "You don't know my name, do you?" Hopefully, he knew she was only teasing him, she would have hated for him to say the entire name, the one thing she definitely wasn't forgiving her father for was the fact her name had show the union of both her parents, although fair enough to pay some tribute to her grandfather but the four names was a bit overkill.

She stepped into the party with him, but watching him walk with such swagger she had to stop at the door frame and laugh at him, he just looked so ridiculous to her when he walked like that but she caught a hold of herself before stepping in, she noticed Frankie with Bane and waved at Frankie, before stepping next to Jack, catching the tail end of his concern about the 4 resident psychos, as most people so lovingly put it. She nudged him, with a slightly hurt expression. "Leave Christian be, it's not his fault..." She then looked over at Christian with a weak smile. "I know what he's going through." Her last comment was more a reminder for Jack that she had a demon side of her too, which was in relatively more control than Christian's symbiote was, but still. Julia shook her head, bringing herself back to the party and then hooked Jack's arm before leading him deeper into the party. "Come on, let's mingle."

Mathias lifted his head to look at Kain, he tilted his head and smirked. "With my endurance and stamina, it'd take quite a few to help me." He then shrugged. "Who knows, Tony may have augmented more than just my vocal cords." He grabbed another bomb and as he went to down it Kain snatched it from his hands. Mathias looked at him with a pursed lip smile and when Kain waggled his finger, a slow blink and confused single shake of the head followed. "And so the mercenary steals from the thief, that was unexpected." He teased, whilst he wasn't drunk, he'd enough alcohol in his system to make him forget how bad he was at flirting and how badly he flirted with everyone when he was drunk.

Mathias shook his head with a chuckle as Kain thanked him for the drink, "Oh, you're so welcome." His response was a lot more sarcastic than he intended it to, as he watched Kain go sit on his own, he rolled his eyes and lifted himself, via his acoustikinesis, and flew over to Kain, plopping himself down on the opposing seat. "Why are you intentionally sitting on your own?" Mathias then caught his sight and visibly was taken aback. "Well, that's... That's surprising." He murmured more to himself, the sight of Ichabod and Christian shocking him.

As she expected Nathan didn't respond to all the compliments, everyone knew he didn't talk much. She sat drinking her beer quietly and peacefully until he came over. Kain just couldn't let her be, no matter where they were he just had to bug her even if it was just for a second. He didn't say anything to her at all but he gave her shoulder a squeeze which was enough to get under her skin. He knew she hated him and that was all he really needed to do. She said nothing as she glared at the back of his head as he spoke with Mathias and stole one of his shots.

"THE PARTY HAS ARRIVED!!" As if it was planned, and lets get real it probably was, the lights went down and colored lights went on and the music began blasting. Liz smiled, Wren always made an entrance. She noticed Christian had joined the party, probably because Wren asked him to. He wasn't a bad guy but Liz tends to stay away from him.

Kari didn't pay much attention to anyone else at the bar after she'd gave Nathan the complement. She just sat sipping on her beer. She saw the Kain had made his way over just to bother Liz, which she thought was funny. Then she heard Alex, she'd come over to talk to Frankie and Nathan. She couldn't help but tense up, though Alex would most likely ignore her. She wasn't one to cause trouble on her own. The thing was Kari hated that Alex didn't like her. Before she could move from the bar Wren busted through the door, "THE PARTY HAS ARRIVED!!" she yelled and the music began playing on it's highest volume and the lights changed.

Kari stood from the bar and made her way over to Wren. About half way there she noticed Christian. "It's about time you showed up. I thought this was going to end up a dull party. She said to Wren then turned to christian, he looked kind of out of it "You alright Chris?" her voice full of concern, she knew people didn't like him but it wasn't his fault his dad was a maniac.

Wren made a note of the fact that Christian reads a lot in his penthouse. At some point she'd have to pick his brain for some good books to read, or suggest some to him. Of course, in an attempt to upstage her grand entrance, Jack shouted as he entered. "Uh, correction Wren! NOW IT'S A PARTY!!" Wren scoffed, "Bitch please, did you have a synchronized entrance with lights and music?... Yeah I didn't think so."

She then over heard Jack whisper to Julia, "Hey, when they say there is going to be a crazy party, I don't think that was suppose to be taken literally." Wren growled in her throat, squinting her eyes as she stuck out her foot to trip Jack as he walked by. "Hey Star Princess!... Captain crazy runs this ship here." Wren pointed to herself, "And if you have a problem with who my guests are then get the hell out." Sure Wren may have overreacted a smidge but she took offense to the 'crazy' comment. One because everyone knew Wren wasn't the most mentally sound with the toll the healing factor took on her body. Plus over half of the students here were out there. They're mutants, in what world would it make sense for them to be sane.

Julia made a comment towards Jack in a more friendly and a lot less Wren like, "Leave Christian be, it's not his fault... I know what he's going through." Wren gave her a 'thanks' smile, before Julia took Jack and went to go mingle. She had barely made it into her own party before Jai came running up to her, mouth as fast as his feet. "Hey, Wren. Did you see Bane? He actually spoke and now all these girls are surrounding him. Why doesn't that work for me? I'm sooooo great and attractive like have you seen my abs?" Before Wren could respond Jai must have noticed Christian because she quickly went to hide behind Alex. "Are you fucking kidding me?" Wren's temper wasn't doing so hot. "Jesus Christ, you're such a child." Apparently Alex was having the same thought.

"Please don't eat me." Wren was seconds from blowing her damn top. She clenched her jaw and glared at Jai as Alex gave her own little rant to the immature speedster. It's a party and yet everyone is deciding to make a damn scene because Wren was nice enough to invite everyone... Pathetic. Wren reached over to the table beside her grabbing whatever her hand could reach which happened to be an empty bottle of vodka. She wasted no time in pitching right a Jai's head. "I'm sorry, but were you dropped on your head as an infant? Or were you just born stupid?!" Wren lectured Jai. "Maybe you deserve to be 'eaten' because you're acting like a fucking pussy! And a good pussy deserves to be eaten!... Grow up."

Wren looked over at Christian and he wasn't looking so good. She didn't know if was because of the rudeness of others or what, but she lightly reached her around around his shoulders. Before she got a chance to talk to him Kari made her way towards her, "It's about time you showed up. I thought this was going to end up a dull party." Wren laughed halfheartedly, "Me having a dull party is as likely as a catholic not being a hypocrite." Kari then proceeded to ask if Christian was alright. "People are just being assholes." Wren reassured.

She let her arm fall from around Christian's shoulders to grasp his hand. Wren then lead him through the party, weaving between people until they got to the quieter side of her penthouse near the billiards table. Once away from most of the asshats, she released his hand. "Sorry about them... They're just a bag of dicks." Wren leaned her shoulder against the wall sighing, "And they're my friends, so what does that say about me?" She rolled her eyes slightly. "Do you want a drink or does that mess with the," She motions towards him, "... thing."

Frankie's attention drifted towards the door momentarily when an ever so loud Wren made her grand entrance and the whole atmosphere of the part changed. Typical Wren. Just before her attention shifted she caught sight of Julia walking in and waving towards her. Frankie gave her a soft smile and a small wave of her fingers before looking back towards Nathaniel. "My father is from Santa Prisca." She smiled, taking a sip of her drink. "That's so cool... My dad's from New York." She shrugged her shoulders slightly while pursing her lips. Definitely not something as interesting as that.

What Nathaniel did next took her slightly by surprise, speaking to her in Spanish rather than english. "Me enseñó comó hablar en inglés y español." Frankie couldn't help but smile as he looked at the ground while he spoke. Her Spanish was very fuzzy and by no means fluent, just whatever they taught her in high school. But it was enough to understand what he said. "I would tell you to speak in Spanish all the time because it sounds good when you speak it. But then I fear I wouldn't be much for conversation at that point." She giggled softly, taking the strawberry she had offered him, the one he seemed to have missed while actually holding a conversation with her, and took a bite.

"I can speak Latin... Well no one speaks Latin, it's a dead language. But I know it fairly well with having a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Everything in Science seems to have a Latin based name." Frankie shrugged slightly with a smile still upon her lips. She then held out the last piece of strawberry she had towards him, "They're really good and fresh... Unless you're allergic, then I'm sorry." Frankie laughed using her free hand to brush her locks behind her ear.

"Are you fucking serious, Jai? He's not a cannibal and he hasn't done anything to you." Jai stepped back as Alex's voice grew and she began chewing him out. "If you're gonna act like such an ass by assuming someone's a certain way based on who their father is go take your cowardly little ass away from this guy who's just here to have a good time like the rest of us." He stood there completely speechless and off guard as she pointed at the bar and her arm caused him to flinch in response like she was on the verge of hitting him. "Better yet, how about you make like a bitch and get this guy a beer since he's more of a man than you." His face fell as he was about ready to leave but apparently the girls weren't done with him just yet.

Alex yelling at him wasn't enough since Wren decided to chuck an empty bottle of vodka at him causing Jai to duck down to avoid it and practically cower at whatever she had left to throw at him. "I'm sorry, but were you dropped on your head as an infant? Or were you just born stupid?!" He looked up at her like a puppy that had just been kicked as she continued to take more jabs at him. "Maybe you deserve to be 'eaten' because you're acting like a fucking pussy! And a good pussy deserves to be eaten!... Grow up." Jai seemed to be getting smaller and smaller with each word until Wren was finally done.

Jai slowly rose up from the ground with his head hanging low and he went off to find his own little corner to be alone. He didn't run. He didn't speed all around the room like usual. He walked slowly and sat himself down alone staring at his hands and getting lost in his own thoughts as he stayed perfectly quiet. What was so wrong with being scared? What was wrong with seeing what that guy has done? Why didn't they understand?d

Her soft giggle brought Nathaniel's attention back up form the floor to her. "I would tell you to speak in Spanish all the time because it sounds good when you speak it. But then I fear I wouldn't be much for conversation at that point." He had a faint smile appear on his face though he didn't really have a response. Nathaniel probably did all the talking he needed to do for a year. He finally noticed the strawberry that had been held out for him and watched her take a bite just realizing he didn't acknowledge her offer to him. His cheeks turned red for a moment as he mumbled an apology, "Sorry." He looked back down at his hands and back up at her trying to come up with something to say.

Thankfully Frankie was much better suited for conversation than Nathaniel. "I can speak Latin... Well no one speaks Latin, it's a dead language. But I know it fairly well with having a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Everything in Science seems to have a Latin based name." His eyes lit up right when she mentioned her degrees. She was actually smart and worth Nathaniel's time. Praise science. Nathaniel seemed to hang onto everything about her even more now that she was more than just a sweet girl with a pretty face. She's pretty, sweet, and smart. She's perfect. Too bad Nathaniel was anything but perfect.

Another strawberry as held out in front of him. "They're really good and fresh... Unless you're allergic, then I'm sorry." He looked at the strawberry and back at her just as she pushed one of her flawless locks back behind her ear. Nathaniel just couldn't bear the thought of saying no to her and took the strawberry despite the fact that he was not a fan of them. He bit into it and played it off like he enjoyed the way the tiny little seeds jammed into his teeth before adding a mumbled, "Thanks. When he was done. Commotion began when he heard Alex raised her voice towards Jai West and Wren follow by throwing a glass bottle at him over his remark towards Christian. Nathaniel actually felt bad for the guy. They shouldn't expect someone to just act like he didn't commit any horrible crimes. Sure Jai shouldn't have made a dumb remark but that doesn't deserve what he got.

Nathaniel turned backaround wanting to ask Frankie about her field right when Jack Quill decided to interrupt them. "Hey guys! How's the drinks around here?" Nathaniel rolled his eyes hoping to ignore the guy but then he decided to address Nathaniel directly. "Doing pretty good for yourself buddy...pullin' all the ladies. Gonna need to step up my game a little since I don't got the big guns like you do!" He looked like he was about to pat his back but hesitated. Nathaniel responded by glaring at him intensely looking like he was about ready to kill the guy if he continued pestering him.

Talk about one eventful party. The hyperactive speedster managed to piss off two of the arguably hottest and possibly most popular girls in the school. Alex chewed his head off while Wren actually got physical and threw a bottle at him. Ichabod loved it. He cowered on the ground and walked away like some pathetic wannabe hero because he was too afraid. He'd be an easy target and this just confirmed it for him. Though that would have to wait since Ichabod would need to make a special formula for him. maybe something that involved Christian eating him just for shits and giggles.

Ichabod clapped his hands together loudly as he stood up and strolled over to where the party really was. He placed his long thin hands on the shoulders of Christian and Wren as he stared down at Alex with a rather manical look on his face enough to make the fearless crawl in their skin. "How about we lighten the mood of this party up a bit?" He looked at them each just to make sure they were actually listening. "Let's play a nice game of spin the bottle."

Wren was began to give Chris a serious talking to so she slipped away while they chatted. The suggestion of spin the bottle caught her attention. "Hell yea." She said with a smile, it was a great game. It caused a lot of drama and who didn't like drama? She helped make room for the circle before joining the circle herself. She was sure everyone would participate, including Matt and Alex but what were the odds of her spin landing on them, 2/21 actually. Good odds not to land on them, that would be gross.

Seeing that the most insane person in this place suggested this game made her nervous however. Why would he suggest it, obviously he wanted drama but from what she'd heard he was more about a little childish drama. She took a quick deep breath Maybe he just wants this party to get interesting like the rest of us. She though calmly, knowing it may be only half true.

Watching from afar was what she'd always done, especially in things like this. Her mother sent her here to teach her human emotion, perhaps this was one way to learn. No, someone like her didn't play games like this, granted she didn't know exactly what the game was. Her curiosity had gotten he best of her and she found herself near Wren in the circle. She leaned in, maybe too close for comfort, "What exactly is this..game?" She asked in a whisper hoping Wren wouldn't make it a big deal that she didn't know.

Quickly she realized she would be uncomfortable, more and more people began to gather. Actually most of the party had gathered into this circle. Too crowded for her but she was already there and basically confirmed she was playing as soon as she sat in the circle Big mistake she thought to herself getting more uncomfortable.

Spin the bottle? Suggested by Ichabod, was no one concerned about that? Well she was, very concerned. He was a psycho, a true psycho. However it was better than sitting around watching, even Kumiko had joined which would surprise everyone. So she joined the circle, it wasn't a bother to her who it landed on Lie. Ok so she didn't want to kiss at least half the people in the circle but what were the odds of her having to kiss her enemy Probably not something you should think Liz. positive thinking, this could actually be fun instead of drama filled...Hopefully.

"Umm... Whoever's turn it is spins the bottle. Then they have to kiss the person it lands on. Pretty simple." Kumiko looked at her shocked. Now she knew this wasn't a good idea to take part in. She watched the bottle spin and it landed on Julia. Kissing someone was bad enough but to Kumiko watching someone kiss was just as uncomfortable. She wanted to retreat back to her little corner of the room but she was sure she would be seen and be forced to rejoin by everyone else. Maybe she could have someone else take her spin like Julia had, but then she'd be the one the bottle landed on. No, I'm not playing this. She was just about to leave the circle when she saw Wren move to gather more players, which meant if she could get Christian to play then Kumiko would have to play.

Liz could tell from the look on Kumiko's face that she was either concerned, confused or both about this game. She didn't seem like she wanted to stay but she did anyway. Meanwhile Ichabod and Caleb had kissed, Caleb and Julia who gave her turn to Frankie who landed on Jack. It was funny because Jack flirted with every woman on earth, not that it worked for most of the girls in this academy he still did it.

To be perfectly honest Kari couldn't wait for her turn. She hadn't played this game since she was in middle school. No one here could lie and say there wasn't anyone in this circle who they didn't want to kiss, except maybe Kumiko, Christian, and Nathaniel. Kari could give you a list of the people in this circle she'd like to kiss.
