"This is messed up. This is so messed up." Jo's phone was vibrating so crazily that it was about to slide out of her pocket. "Hold on a sec." Stopping suddenly, she pulled it out and started to turn it off. Then a thought struck her. "Hey! Robert. I heard somewhere that you can track a person by the pings their cell makes. So... Almega's a big company and all that.. they might be using that to track us too." She sighed and slid the now-black phone into her pocket. "I know it sounds crazy. But I don't know how they found us. They cut off contact years ago. My last name changed when my parents split up. I don't know what's going on. They're too good."
" That's a pretty good catch you've made, one less way of Almega finding us" Robert spoke with a smile still trying to comfort Jo. Hearing of her parents spliting up brought about sealed memories within Robert, the days of which his mother and father were alive. Shrugging he threw these thoughts to the side concentrating on what would come next for the both of them. "If we play this smart we should have somewhere to lay low for the day" Robert said continuing is movement toward the storehouse, the last place Almega would look for it had no connection at all with Roberts family investments. He knew it was safe their, and keeping Jo safe enough was fine for the boy, since he brought her into it.
"Damn Almega... why are they doing this now?" A traffic light halted them at an intersection and Jo leaned against a light pole. "They've had years since the med trial and now they wanna mess with us, after we went and got lives?" She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair again. Jo was definitely going to miss gymnastics training. Her coach was going to be livid.
Stoping at the intersection, looking to Jo as she lent against the light pole " From what I've gathered I have a small idea... other than that we are heading to a storehouse on this coming block." Robert said shooting his eyes toward her, his face was serious all of his planing went to hell within hours. Almega struck to early catching him off guard, maybe it was because he gathered the others in one spot with him or something. Roberts brain was rattled with thoughts on what to do next, from Almega's attack he would have to make some phone calls to cover up all the action and killing from earlier connections and money is what got Robert this far.
Peering up as the light turned red waving at Jo as he crossed the street, walking up to a empty storehouse with dim lighting on the inside.
Pressing his body against the door, wrapping his fingers around the knob pushing his telekinetic force through to the other side of the door, unlocking the door by turning the locks on the other side. With a gentle tap he stylishly pushes the door open leading Jo in as he flipped the lights on and closed the door. The inside of the storehouse was empty... but then again it was a hideout. "Well welcome to my second home, I promise you Almega won't be able to find us here." Robert spoke smiling at Jo hoping she felt a little better about their terrible situation. Stomping lightly and concentrating as he lifted some of the floorboards up revealing a latter, "down their is a little underground apartment."
"Well welcome to my second home, I promise you Almega won't be able to find us here." Jo nodded and smiled at Robert. Paranoid Jo was squashed. Robert didn't seem dangerous. Well, he could kill people by thinking at them, but he didn't seem the type to kill random people. Almega was another story. They were attacking without being provoked.
"Apartment? Wow, you've got pretty much everything, don't ya?" Jo chuckled as she slid down, grabbing the ladder and descending to the bottom quickly. A thought had been bugging her. If she'd just gone with the Amega agents instead of running. Robert wouldn't have killed anyone. Even if they were Almega, they were people. Jo's stomach twisted into knots inside her. She was responsible for their deaths. What if they had families? Children? What if their cat wasn't getting fed? "Shit.." She mumbled to herself.
"Well this is where I stayed until I thought it was safe to move out, a family friend made the place I just watched." Robert told Jo as he headed into the kitchen grabbing to ice cold boodles of water from the fridge, and tossing one to her. Relaxing a little as he looked to her thinking a "friend" something I've never had. Robert knew this himself, maybe if things got better Jo could become a great friend even something more if that chance ever arose but none the less a friend was something Robert needed. They kept you alive and safe when you where acting out of line, they protected you and laughing Robert sat on the sofa keeping his thoughts locked away.
