A young, bright-spirited Light Elf
Vanya has a very childish personality, and is constantly scolded by her elders for it.
Curiousity is her largest fault; she can wander for hours trying to follow something and although her long day's tracking may be fruitless, Vanya will not be disheartened. The young elf is also curious of the human kind, and of the opposing Dark Elves, which will most likely, end with Vanya in trouble if she continues to ignore the warnings of her Elders.
Vanya is a cheerful person. It does not take a lot to make her laugh or smile, and she delights in making sure everyone is in a positive mood, whether it is difficult for them to maintain it or not. Vanya does not like overly angry people and often finds herself being awkward in sad situations.
The young elf can be very moody; at her age it is difficult for her to have the control over her emotions as older elves do, and although she tries to hide these overflows of emotion, everyone knows it happens. Anger and grief are the emotions she finds hardest to control and contradict the belief that Vanya is a completely positive person.
Vanya is also, as she puts it, a "campaigner for peace". She does not like the animosity between the two races of elves, and does not resent the humans for enclosing the two races in such a small space. She believes it is for the good of both Elven races, against the wishes of the rest of her race, who are for the most part, totally against humans and the Dark Elves.
Vanya believes in the old weaponry; guns and explosives hold no place in her heart. She carries a dagger at her waist, and a oak staff which she inherited from her father after he was killed.
Vanya was orphaned when her parents were both killed by the advancing human race. She was taken in by another Light Elf family since she had no brothers or sisters to take care of the then-elfling. Vanya's new family was very kind to her, and raised her with the beliefs that she still carries with her today; although the elf has not heard from them in many years having been separated in one of the many skirmish's with the Dark Elves. Her one true duty in her Light Elf tribe is healing, which she was taught by her foster mother.
