Name: Miroch Vutan
Gender: Male
Age: 127
Race: Elf
Physical Description & Clothing:
Merely a youth in comparison to his other elven brothers and sisters, his distincitve appearance for an elf marks him with a certain social stigma. He was born with jet black hair instead of the usual white blonde, leaving even his own parents distant from him. The cause of his dark hair is clearly magical in nature, but no efforts so far has dispelled the 'curse' as it were. He was given up quite quickly to a traveling wanderer that was passing through the town.
He stands at 6ft and weights in at 138lbs, with the majority of his mass being muscle, his frame slim and toned. He is usually clad in his black and gold robes, the insignia of a dragon running along the left side. He otherwise wears a black tunic with matching black pants.
Skin color: Light brown
Hair color: Black
Eye Color: Blazing White, unless tapping into his spirit's power, then it turns a blazing yellow.
Occupation: Mainly unemployed. Part time mercenary with moral choices.
Bio: It turned out that the wandering traveler was a Kindred, but no ordinary Kindred. Rather, he was one of the three masters of the Kindred Arts. These styles of Martial Arts were developed by the master themselves, being based on each of their animal kin. The three different styles are the Striking Viper, the Ravenous Bear and the Flowing Dragon. Each of these three different martial arts have different attacks, the Viper using pointed attacks with the hand, striking at pressure points toe make it feel as if a poison were spreading from the point struck. The Bear with its powerful swiping attacks and savage blows. The Dragon is different because this style incorporates kicks into its attacks whilst the others use their hands for striking. As one would expect with such a name as Flowing Dragon, this style uses counter strikes to attack while redirecting the enemy's blows to miss them, rather than the full dodges of the Viper style and blocks of the Bear style. As such, Miroch prefers this style the most since he can use his opponent's own strength and momentum against them.
After training for years, growing up among the three masters and mastering the three different Kindred Arts, he was given a choice. To bind his soul to the respective animal spirits of the three different animals that the martial arts was based on. It was a two day process, the preparation needed to bind a powerful spirit required such or else there would have been consequences. There were three spirits summoned, a Bear spirit, a Viper spirit and a Dragon spirit. It was rather obvious choice for him. All of the spirits were equal in power, so it was more of a choice of preference, and he preferred the Dragon style of combat, so the Dragon was bound.
After several more years of training in using his spirit's power, he set out on a journey across Valderia, to learn what he could from the land that he could not among the masters in the monastery. Having been isolated from the world's affairs for the past century, the discovery of a source of magic was a new discovery for him. He had come down to the lands below only one year after the first vault discovery, and the uses of the new magic crystals astounded him, and the he experienced the power of absorbed magic crystals, used against him by a mage he happened to upset. For the next few years, he traveled the land, every year coming back to the temple. However, one thing always haunted at the back of his mind. Each time he visited a town, village or otherwise, he always got looks from other elves, in all his time he had only met other elves with fair skin and light hair. It would seem that there was no acceptance to be had.
So when the first expeditions were being called up to search for more magic crystals, he sought to join one. For perhaps if he absorbed enough, then his curse may be undone and his people may accept him as one of their own.
Hometown: As far as Miroch is concerned, the Kindred Arts temple in the mountainous regions.
Home country: In a territory where none of the kingdoms have staked their claim yet.
Personality: Having been brought up in the presence of three martial arts masters, Miroch is a respectful man, doing his best to not offend anybody. He believes in not overstating his abilities, but neither understating them. Honesty is another virtue that he sees as a core part of his ideals, though he is not so naive to think that people never lie. He is kind and merciful, willing to sacrifice his own personal comfort for others that he considers in need or his friends.
There is however, a lingering resentment of the social pariah that he has become due to his strange appearance. Whilst other people may not find him strange, his elven brethren certainly do. This has lead to a lot of pent up anger and frustration that he has managed to keep in check so far, but in the brief moments where he does lose his temper, he becomes highly aggressive and his fighting reflects that. It becomes more savage and less fluid that it usually would be, and his strikes become stronger whilst his defense suffers.
Likes: Gorrjen, his Dragon spirit, Honesty, Verun, Jino and Lucer, the three Kindred Arts masters.
Dislikes: Bigots, criminals, traitors, people with no moral compass, being judged, his parents for abandoning him, his 'curse'
Skills and Abilities Martial talent in his three mastered styles, expert use of his staff, outdoors survival and some first aid.
Equipment & Weapons: Besides the robes that he wears, the only piece of armor he has are his metal gauntlets. The sharp finger tips allow him to puncture his opponents body and the sharp studs on the knuckle area are a point of focus for the force he generates. In addition to this, he wields a 6ft long staff made out of elfwood, a light yet strong type of wood. It is painted black, but otherwise it is devoid of any other significant markings.
Magic: Spiritual Magic.
He usually channels it to enhance his strength, speed and endurance. The usage of such is accompanied by the color change of his eyes, and a soft, glowing, yellow aura around his limbs. The aura is usually around his hands and feet, not extending past the elbow or knee. Besides that Gorrjen is able to provide a passive spellshield, in which a spell that would harm him is deflected or absorbed by a wall of magical energy. The more powerful the spell, the harder it is to deflect or absorb but multiple weak spells in a stream can also strain the spellshield, causing it to fail and allowing Miroch to be hit by spells. The spellshield has a short regeneration period after been broken but if not completely drained, it will restrengthen over a few minutes. Otherwise he has yet to find other methods of using his spirit's power as it has not given him much more than he needs.
Feeling it! Unless roleplaygateway goes down forever. Then I'll be sad :c
