Talents: | Karate || Pretending to listen in class || Perfect Pitch || Writing || Playing the Alto Sax |
Dislikes: |Bright lights || Sappy emotions || Cheesy romance movies || Gossips || Guys talking to April || Others having happy dreams |
Flaws: -Can be cruel, not caring about someone's emotions
-Overly obsessive over April, would do anything to make her happy
-Can't seem to be able to take a hint
-Not as careful about his powers as he should be, often uses them at risk of exposing himself
-Doesn't seem to think he could possibly do anything wrong, believes himself flawless
Weaknesses: -Anything to do with April
-Broad sunlight, weakens his powers and his body
-Rats, he hates them and will not go near one with a ten-meter pole
- Cats, especially kittens, although it may seem highly hypocritical of him, he loves cats and gets all mushy when he sees one. His foster mother theorizes that this is due to his hatred of rats
-High pitched or off pitch noises. They grate on his ears and in extreme cases render him immobile due to his perfect pitch
-Crowds: Deimos is able to sense the fears of others, making him vulnerable to large crowds were he gets swamped by a virtual sea of fears.
Powers:
Echolocation: In areas in which it's too dark or light to navigate Deimos is able to make clicking noises to 'map out' the surrounding area.
Strengths: Able to find his way through hard-to-navigate areas and in complete darkness or if blinded by light.
Weaknesses: Other noises throw it off, disorientating him and high pitched noises hurt his ears and may render him immobile.
Shadow Manipulation: He can use this to shroud people in darkness, turn their shadows against them, create weapons and such.
Strengths: Allows him to manipulate objects and people at a distance and use the darkness to cover his tracks or to manifest a weapon at will.
Weaknesses: Bright lights or complete darkness which eradicate shadows render this power useless.
Fear Sense: Deimos has the ability of sensing a persons fears and them 'bringing them to life'.
Strengths: This gives him an instant upper hand in any conflict and can be used to distract or even kill an opponent.
Weaknesses: When in a crowd of people he cannot distinguish between fears and this gives him a migraine which can last for several hours or until he's all alone.
Hobbies: | Swimming || Eavesdropping || Watching Horror movies/playing horror games || watching/reading Sci-fi || Lazing on the couch || Stargazing || Using his powers |

Personality:
Deimos was once the perfect little boy, obedient, kind, thoughtful and would never dream of ever harming anyone.
But that's when the dreams started.
His personality went through a drastic shift. The once kind and quiet boy seemed to come out of his shell to become a rebellious and cocky teenager. He became narcissistic, believing his opinions, views and general being was worth more than that of others due to his abnormality. He embraced what he had discovered about himself, believing for the first time in his life that he'd found his place in the world.
He can be incredibly rude to others, often having a blank expression while others are talking with the occasional snide remark about how stupid or idiotic their idea was or just how much he doesn't care about their opinion or their day. This has led to him perfecting the look of pretending to pay attention in class and he's currently working on seeing whether its possible to go to sleep with his eyes open. Deimos is incredibly cocky, strutting around as if he owns the place and when not in conversation seems to constantly have this 'I know' grin spread across his features, when set with the malicious look in his eyes makes for an unsettling appearance.
Deimos is incredibly proud of what he is capable off and will us any excuse to show it off, sometimes without considering the consequences if someone realizes that he was the cause of it. This makes him careless and gives the general impression that he just doesn't care. Which he doesn't. He likes the thought of someone discovering him, giving him reason to threaten them with what they fear most and watch the blood drain from their face. He finds it an amusing situation.
The fact that his brothers seem to follow his lead doesn't help his superiority complex. Despite this he loves his brothers, they are the only two people he knows he can truly trust, no matter the situation. He also can't bring himself to be rude or anything short of perfectly polite in front of his foster mother. To him it would be the equivalent of cold-blooded murder.
He has one major weakness though: April Hood. Ever since he set eyes on the Gentle Beauty he can't seem to get her out of his head. He went out of his way to try and impress her with poetry, flowers, chocolates, songs, and all-round being the opposite of his usual self. But she didn't go for it and his obsession has taken him to a new level: If he can't have her... no one will.
Bio/History: After being taken from the shadow world at age 5 and deposited in 'Reality' Deimos was raised by an elderly woman who became like his real mother. He was raised along side his two brothers, Andrew and Leo. At a young age he had been confused with the different last names, though his foster mother explained to him that their names were the only thing they had left from their old lives and as long as they had them, their families would live on with them. The explanation had been soothing to the young child.
He went through many years, never knowing his true heritage until the dreams started. They showed a realm consumed by shadow and fear, and there, he was the top dog. His brothers served beneath him and he was The Shadow Man. The dreams became more and more frequent then, in a moment of boredom and curiosity late one night he tried to do what his dream-self could. He had been shocked when the shadow he had been staring at sprouted a shadow hand which waved at him. He was quick to tell his brothers, spending many hours proving to them that, no, he hadn't gone round the bend.
Things couldn't seem to get better as they honed their skills, his personality shifting with each use. And that's when he met her. He had been floored by her beauty, standing in the middle of the school corridor just staring at her with wide eyes. Entranced he made his goal in life to win over his affections. This led to poetry hidden in her locker, chocolates and flowers with love notes slipped into her bag and even tracking down where she lived were he threw pebbles at her window before singing to her. He even ran across the road once in his haste to reach her and was nearly run over by the principle of his school who made sure to yell at him at length about his stupidity.
When his feelings weren't returned Deimos decided to take matters into his own hand to not only show her what he is capable of but also give her the choice between him and her fears.
