Physical description: His usual appearance takes the form of a cloaked peasant; his clothes are torn in my places, and are covered in stitches. He wears a ragged leather trenchcoat over top of them, as black as his very soul. A black hood and a bandana successfully hides his face from others - but, to those unfortunate to see it, they don't see a face.. they see scorched flesh, crawling with insects. His eyes.. are like black pearls; they look positively demonic. He isn't overly muscular, but he's not skinny either. When he opens his coat, there is an assortment of belts and rope tying his wares to the interior of it. What appears there is all up to the customer's desires. He wears nothing on his feet, which look wolfish in nature. What is this creature..?

Personality Traits: A sense of friendship? A sense of belonging? Enemies? Rivals? All of these mean nothing to him. Taking sides in war? Laughable. The Merchant sells his wares to whoever is willing to make the sacrifice. You see, if you want to purchase some of his wares, you'll have to give up something of equal value - an eye for eye, if you please. As for his personality, he never speaks. He uses his ability to project images into your mind, occasionally accompanied by a variety of strange voices. Don't even try to be a hardass, and think that he's just a worthless mongrel, and try to attack him; his images have the potential to drive you to the point of insanity, and he has a way of stepping through the shadows.. he is untouchable. In that sense, he can't touch you either. His only goal is to enforce pain and suffering on those that fight; just cause or not. He gives people weapons, and they lose something of value in return; to discourage violence. But no one ever listens to a shadow in rags.. and that's just his usual appearance. He can take on the form of nearly anything, in an attempt to dislodge your sanity.

Inventory: Anything you need, he has it. He doesn't require anything himself; he isn't interested in fighting.

History: No known history exists about The Merchant; only rumours. Most of these rumours, are spread by the one's who have met him; and the one's who have met him, are ignored by others. They have become insane; hollow shells of what they used to be. But the people who believe these rumours, hear fake tales of how he's a red devil, a dragon, a giant lizard. He has driven them so far from sanity that they can't even remember their encounter correctly. They don't become insane right away, of course. But it happens eventually. An inescapable fate. No one knows that they are talking to The Merchant, until it's too late.

Misc. Info: Teleportation; but he can't ever harm people directly. Can project images and voices into his customer's mind. Mind-reading to some extent. Just sort of appears every now and then, to try everyone's sanity. Only the ones with the greatest willpower walk away from The Merchant with their mind still intact..
