PersonalityBali is normally quiet, not because she is so shy, but because she normally can't bring herself to want to interract with others. She is far more interested in herself and taking care of her needs than she is in others. She is a perfectionist in everything she does and she doesn't have a problem judging other people by her standards. She is likely to snap at people, but strangely, just as likely to perform strange, random acts of kindess. Behind the pretty, aloof face though, you'd be surprised what you could find.
Bio Bali had a "complete nervous breakdown" according to the doctors and the papers.
She had been adopted from a villiage in India when she was five years old by a couple that wanted a malnourished, brown baby to make appearances with them in the magazines far more than they wanted an actual daughter. Her father was a politician and her mother a prominent lawyer, and both were extremely concerned with the way they appeared in the papers. They mostly left her in the care of a series of nannies who were there for the paycheck. They did take it upon themselves to insert themselves in her life in order to impress upon her the importance of being the best. In addition to her school studies in one of the best prep schools in the country, she was made to study the piano, foreign languages, ballet, and to participate in multiple high profile service projects. And she excelled at all of them.
She was so good at it, that no one really noted the fact that she had no friends. Her absentee parents never saw the development and then escalation of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. They didn't notice the way she began to place destructive restrictions on herself when it became impossible to measure up to her own impossible standards. It all became too much for her on March 23 when she came home and, wearing her school uniform, with her backpack and everything, stepping into the pool out back her pool and tried to drown herself. One of the gardeners saw her floating near the bottom and pulled her out in time. Her parents, quite concerned about a scandal, made sure to make it clear publically that she was to be treated at The Home for her problems. So far, Bali hasn't made an effort to participate in The Home. She hates it, but she can't think of any particular place that would be any better...
Little Known Facts Bali's OCD is pretty severe, and has been for a few years. She has no problem with germs or cleanliness, or things of the sort that people normally associated with OCD. Instead, she has an obsession with the "right" way of doing things. She must be able to do things a certain way and if she feels that they were done incorrectly, she does them over. And over. And over. Until she gets them right.
Secret Bali lost her virginity two days before she attempted suicide, to a boy she had loved for a year, but who was with someone else maybe twelve hours later.
Other None.
