Shunsuke has red eyes and white hair that goes down to the base of his neck and bangs that goes down to the tip of his nose. He stands at 5'7 and weighs 159 lbs, being of an average muscular build.

Loner but has received training from a past champion.
Personality:
If you had the chance to meet Shunsuke (Shun for short) before he volunteered for the Hunger Games, he would have gave you an impression of a serious, hardworking, caring and happy individual. He loves his friends and his family with all his heart, and will do almost anything to protect them. On rare occasions would he put up a cold and unmoving expression on his face, but this is only a 'mask' he wears to keep his feelings hidden. One example of that is when a good friend of Shun was chosen as a participant for the Hunger Games and died as a result he put up a strong front for 2 whole weeks, when in the inside he was crying to himself all the time. Now that he has entered the Hunger Games he is now putting on a strong front more and more often in order to not show any weakness.
Skill(s):
-Kendo/Iaido: Shun is trained in the arts of wielding a katana with skill. He can also wield other types of swords, but has less skill when wielding them. This is one of the main ways that Shun fights.
-Kama Wielding: Shun can wield 2 Kama's with a high level of skill. When using these weapons, he can trap and disarm most melee weapons and usually can beat his opponent with these weapons. This is Shun's best and favorite way to fight.
-Unarmed Combat: Shun can hold his own against an opponent roughly of his size, having trained in the martial arts before.
-Ranged Combat: Shun can hit a stationary target with a bow and throwing knives, but needs to put in a lot of effort to hit a moving target.
-Wilderness Survival Skills: Shun can hunt and gather food, swim, climb trees and cliffs given there are enough handholds in the cliff face, build and find shelter, acquire fresh water, cook food, build fires and read the skies for weather changes and the starts for directions.
-Stealth Techniques: Shun is fast and agile, and is able to move silently, hide and/or camouflage himself, read tracks and erase his own tracks.
-Daggers And Knives: Shun can wield daggers and knives with some skill.
-Medicine: Shun knows how to treat wounds and cure poisons while also knowing how to make a few poisons. He also knows about medicinal and poisonous herbs.
Weaknesses:
-Ranged Combat: Shun can not hold his own against an experienced and skilled ranged combatant that well.
-Traps: Shun is not very familiar with traps yet, and while he can discover the simpler kinds of traps like pitfalls when he is aware, he is generally not that good at dealing with traps.
-Machinery: Shun is not very familiar with how machines work, having no experience in that area of expertise.
-Mental Health: When Shun sees a friend of his die, his mental state will enter an 'unhealthy' state where he is not always aware f what he is doing and may tend to do stupid and reckless acts and random acts of violence.

History:
Shun was born into a family that consisted of his mother, his father, him and his 2 younger siblings. His father was a doctor who died when Shun was still very young due to an infection that he received when treating a patient. After that Shun's mother single-handedly supported the large family, she being an herbalist. At the age of 8 Shun decided to help his mother support his family and started doing a vast array of jobs in order to achieve that goal. At the same time he begged a previous champion of the Hunger Games to teach him how to fight, and after much begging and a lot of determination, the champion agreed. Shun was trained in the martial arts and weapon wielding styles of an eastern country that he and his trainer originated from, and started signing up for tesserae as soon as he was old enough. Just when Shun was getting confident of his abilities, a good friends of his was chosen to be a participant of the Hunger Games. Shun was 13 back then, and back then he spent day after day with his thoughts directed at his friend,hoping, wishing that he would come back alive. Sadly, that wish could not be granted and after the 5th day had ended, the were informed that the friend, for Victor was his name, had died from being hacked into pieces by a fellow contestant. Sent into shock and depression, Shun put on a 'mask' of emotions that betrayed his true sorrowful feelings. But the demise of his friend had filled Shun with the resolve to protect the ones he deemed dear to the best of his power, and he begged his trainer to teach him the ways to survive in the arena, redoubling his efforts in his training and his jobs. When he was 17, the time came to put his abilities to a test. His best friend since childhood had been chosen to be a participant in the Hunger Games, who had suffered from a frail body condition since birth. Shun immediately volunteered to participate in place of his best friend for the sake of protecting him, and asked his trainer to start training his younger siblings the same skills that he learnt if he were to die. Thus Shun now faces the hardest challenge of his life, if not his last challenge ever.

-2 Weapon model Kama's with a black blade, a black hilt with a cloth wrapped grip and a notch where the blade and the hilt meets that allows the trapping of a sword, staff, or wooden shaft of a spear-like weapon and the disarming of it.
-1 survival knife with a smooth edge and a serrated edge.
-A pair of tanned leather gloves that provide some protection against the cold and protection in a unarmed combat situation.
-1 leather pouch that can hold food and other items.
-A flint-and-striker set for starting fires.
