BIOGRAPHY
Ticus reigns from an old banking family, the Valinus Clan. They had established commerce through each of the chapters across the world, creating monopolies in spices, cloth, and even minerals. Ticus was born to the Roune chapter, which was without a doubt the least profitable chapter of the clan. Even so his father was confident that he could turn profits around completely. So Ticus was schooled in the capital at the finest schools. He was taught economics, various trade routes, and financial management. He even was given a tutor to teach him the art of fighting.
His comfortable life was suddenly stopped to a grinding halt when Bismark Cain rose to power. His father had financed Bismark's enemies, who failed in their attempt to take back power. As a result he was executed, leaving Ticus to govern what was left of the Roune chapter. Being that he had no allies left, Ticus had no choice but to provide funds to Bismark for both protection and to prosper under the new regime. Using his funds he helped the new king subdue the new territories. After that he went on a trade mission far away.
About a year ago Ticus came back to Roune and saw what had become of the place he had held so dear. Although there was new lands acquired, the lands were already occupied by newly conquered citizens, not given to true Roune citizens. Unemployment, poverty, and over taxation plagued the nation. Ticus knew there was no hope that the king would care about the people, which left only one option left for the nation. Revolution. For months Ticus spent his chapter's fortune to forge new alliances and create a new army in secrecy from the crown.
