Introduction
This particular story starts with a feud between three gods.. Something we, as mortals, call the second World War. A fight between Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, and all of their demigod children. The war ended with the beginning of a great pact, meant to stave off a great prophecy. The prophecy told of a single demigod of the great three deciding the future of Olympus upon his sixteenth birthday, leading to either its rise, or its fall. To keep this from happening, the three swore to never again father children with mortals.
But, we know how hard it is to break old habits.
The true story starts in the year 2005, with a boy of no more than 12 named Lucas O’Connell. A son of Poseidon, yet he does not know it yet attending Yancy academy, a school for troubled youth, in upstate New york. Though his life has been pretty normal as of late, being expelled from every school he's ever attended, now his mother having no choice but to enroll him in the troubled youth school. Well thankfully like most schools they had fieldtrips but unlike a normal fieldtrip; this would be the last one Lucas ever took that didn't involve fighting for his life. It started out pretty normal his Latin teacher; Mr. Brunner telling them tales about greek history down the Roman exhibit, when he got into an argument with one of the bullies of the school, then it was time to eat lunch; once again another fight with the same bully before he was dragged away by another teacher; namely his math teacher, Mrs. Dodds and then life took an unexpected turn of events. Mrs. Dodds began to morph, becoming something like an old hag with wings and attacked him, thankfully he was thrown a pin by Mr. Brunner, which turned into a three foot long dully glowing bronze blade, which he used to cleave the teacher in half, and watched her turn to dust.
Well as luck would have it, he was just crazy, or that's how everyone had acted about it; including his favorite teacher Mr. Brunner, though namely because of how things had worked out he got expelled and wound up back home again with his mother and his step-dad who he despised. Though that wouldn't last long, His mother had convinced his step-dad to allow them to take a trip to Montauk the same cabin they use to go to, but as his luck would allow he got one last night of fun, before a Kid he had met at the Metroplitan Museum, showed up in the middle of a storm, freaking his mom out who made them both get in a car driving them to a summer camp. They never made it, first lightning blasted the car off the road, then a bull-man attacked them, killed his mother; made him angry enough to kill the bullman and then all went black.
And so the story begins, upon the waking of our young… Hero… In Camp Halfblood, the only safe haven in the world for demigods.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 4 authors
Lucas spoke about a fight on the bus, and looked at the situation and had to agree. Of course all he did was smirk and shrug at the statement about jinxing luck. He wouldn't give him the satisfaction of a response of any sort, beyond a minor one at best. "Shame none of you took the bet." He was speaking quietly enough not to attract attention of anyone outside their group, of course, he wasn't so stupid as to boldly proclaim everything being said. The bus was narrow, barely enough room for any sort of normal day to day activity, let alone some sort of brawl between them and the Furies. Well, not if they tried and play fair fight with the creatures, and he did have a trick or two up his sleeves. Never left the cabin without something, it paid off when the Ares kids tried to pick fights of some sort or another. But hopefully that wouldn't be necessary, for the sole fact he didn't want to waste anything so early. On the bus, already pulling tricks? Of course, another issue was collateral between them and the normal folks on the bus. Sure, normal Bronze may not do a thing to them, but he hadn't the foggiest idea when it came to Stygian. Not the best time to find out, so he waited until provoked, and could provide a proper reaction.

"We'd have to get the bus to stop for us," She murmured, trying to keep her voice low enough as not to disturb the others on the bus. How they would do that, she wasn't sure.
She noted a few empty seats nearer the middle of the bus. Max looked over at Sage,
"Can you take another person with you when you do that shadow-y disappearing act?" She asked, glancing at Lucas. She didn't want to voice her full plan in case it was shot down at the first hurdle, but the general idea was to get Lucas nearer the front of the bus when the Kindly Ones decided to strike - which probably wouldn't take long. If Sage could get himself and Lucas to the front of the bus, then maybe they could find a way to get the bus driver to stop the bus while Ish and herself kept the Kindly Ones pre-occupied. They wouldn't be able to appear right next to the driver, he would probably have a heart attack - but with the right timing they could get to the empty middle seats without being spotted and quietly make their way to the front. It was all she could come up with.

He did a brief look-around when Lucas mentioned an emergency exit.. But he couldn't seem to find one. The bus lacked any sort of rear exit, instead having a small restroom next to the rear seats. Well, even if he had found an exit, it wouldn't have mattered. Just a few seconds later the bus pulled out of the station and started driving off through the rain. At that point Ishmael tossed in his usual “witty” remark, which managed to extract a smirk from Sage, despite the situation. Then it was Max's turn to plan. Of course, hers involved Sage playing with his limited powers... It was, in all honesty, a brilliant plan... But, it was going to be far from comfortable.. “I can take someone with me... Maybe a couple people if I really try.. But, I don't think his stomach will like it... The first time I shadow traveled I-.” He stopped himself short as the bus hit the Lincoln Tunnel and went dark except for the running lights down the aisle. It was eerily quiet without the sound of the rain.
Mrs. Dodds got up. In a flat voice, as if she’d rehearsed it, she announced to the whole bus: “I need to use the rest-room.”
“So do I,” said the second sister.
“So do I,” said the third sister.
They all started coming down the aisle.
“Gods damn it, no choice...” Sage said as the kindly ones passed the center of the aisle. He grabbed onto Lucas' shoulder and shut his eyes tight. “Sorry!” The word passed from fading lips as Sage and Lucas' bodies shifted into darkness.
They reappeared in the empty seats that Max had pointed out earlier, sitting there in the exact same positions that they'd been before. Of course, that would change swiftly. Lucas had just shadow traveled for the first time... The first time he'd gone for a ride through the darkness, Sage lost several lunches before his stomach felt normal again.
Sage was not entirely unaffected by the trip either.. His skin was a little paler and he looked as if he'd just run a mile with a person on his back. Shadow traveling with another person was exhausting work.. Still, Sage managed to move himself into the gap between their seat and the seat in front of them and pull his ring off his finger. The ring shifted into his three foot long stygian longsword, which Sage lowered so that it would be hidden by the seats. If things went south, and he was so very sure they would, he'd need it. “Try to get the driver to stop the bus” He said to Lucas, who'd hopefully listen to him after whatever episode his stomach caused.
Of course, once they reached the back of the bus, they all started assuming there true form. He shot Max a look of 'Look at the mess you got us in' briefly as they began shrieking at the two of them. They were assuming their real forms alright, even uglier than before, handbags becoming flaming whips and taking on forms of part gargoyle, part bat, and cracking the whips to become even more intimidating. This of course set off a panic from the people, seeing something going on through the Mist, and their hissing was grating on his head currently. "Where is it? Where?"
Rather than state where they were Ish pointed straight up, and replied with a calm "Right up there, clinging to the ceiling to get the drop on you.". The closest one glanced briefly, enough of an opening for him. Wrench in hand, he swung hard sideways and bashed the fury clean in the head. "Hah! That's like falling for gullible on the ceiling!" Of course the wrench did little more than piss off the creatures, the one hit was a hell of a sight more than pissed, injured to boot, and he narrowly ducked a retaliatory whip strike. He was saving as much of his repertoire of tricks and toys, relying on his wrench and dumb luck to keep the distraction going. An added bonus was Max should have a chance to make a strike of her own. Whatever Sage and Lucas were doing, they needed to get in gear and do it. He'd done little more than piss off the furies, of course buying them time to do whatever they had in mind.
“Pull over man…I’m gonna hurl” He groaned to the mortal in the seat. “Wait your turn for the bathroom boy.” The man said and caused Lucas’ eye to twitch in annoyance. “Look pops, I’ma hurl on your shoes or in the street your pick!” He said to the man, just before they hit the tunnel, “Boy I said wait your turn now get back to your seat!” The driver looked down at Lucas with a glare, Lucas turned to look at his friends, his stomach finally not acting up he decided to try something. “I said stop!” he lunged for the wheel grabbing it and turning it to the right, the Driver fighting back as they swerved all over the road through, and on the other side of the tunnel, if Lucas could turn around he was sure several of the passengers had probably ended up in the aisle; hopefully someone had knocked over the hags as well, but before anything could be said or done. The driver won the battle for the wheel, right as they veered off the road into a field.
Lucas once again dizzy, his stomach in knots had ended up on his face in the aisle. “Stop the bus he said…” He mumbled to himself as he stood up to watch Ish wallop one of the old crones on the head with his wrench; he’d have laugh if it wasn’t for the fact all it did was piss her off. He made his way, slowly and clenching his stomach over to Sage. “So what now? charge them and hope we live another day?” He asked with a smile. “Cause if that’s the plan You go first, I think we left my stomach on the seat we ditched through shadows..” he said trying to lighten his mood more than any other.

She tried to hold her ground as the furies cracked their whips, demanding to know where it was. She wouldn't show fear to them, nor would she let them know they had been fooled. Before she could reply, Ish tricked the nearest one to him before smacking her on the head with his wrench. In that instant, the other two dived forward. As quick as one of the furies' whips, she swung her bow in a wide horizontal arc, hitting the two diving furies in one blow. The coach then swerved as Lucas attempted to get the bus driver to stop, throwing herself to the window as she fought to keep balance. The furies struggled to stay upright during the swerves too thankfully.
Everything seemed to slow as they came off road and eventually stopped in the edge of a field. The passengers of the bus began scrambling out, leaving the furies and the unsupervised children behind. Max took her chance while the furies were still trying to recover themselves. She brought an arrow to her bow and took aim at the fury nearest to her, only pausing for a moment before firing. She did not wait to see if it struck true as she drew another arrow to take aim again.

Sage flinched as he watched Ishmael clock a fury across the head with his wrench; a move that, to most humans, would have been more than crippling... But, it did little more than piss the fury off. At the same time, the other two Furies dived at Max, only to be knocked away by her bow.; another move that would only piss them off. He needed to move in quickly, or else his friend, and Max, were going to be skewered...
He managed to grab onto a nearby seat just as Lucas, or perhaps the driver caused the bus to swerve rather dramatically. He managed to keep himself mostly stable and upright with his hand-hold, but the sudden shaking shook up his already turning stomach, forcing him into a short fit of dry heaving. He managed to keep up his steady hobble up the aisle, despite the feelings his knotted stomach was sending through him, the heaviest of which caused him to double over. He got up from his most recent fit in time to see Max loose an arrow at a Fury, apparently deciding to switch to real attacks now that the passengers had all piled off. The Fury managed to dodge the attack as it jumped into the nearby seats and started to scramble over them towards the pair.
It was time for a nice act of desperation...
“Hey!” Sage called out as loud as he could, hoping to gain the attention of the monsters. Two of them turned their attention towards him, while the other one continued it scrambling towards Max. The one who had most likely been Ms. Dodds straightened and spoke, her harsh and familiar voice causing Sage to flinch mentally. “Sage Faustian... Where is your friend? He has offended the Gods. He must die.” She rose her whip as if to attack, to which Soul Render was raised in response, causing the Fury to flinch upon sight of the black blade. “I liked you better as a math teacher.” Sage replied, ushering a snarl from the fury. Ugly sister number two started scrambling over the seats on his left as Dodds brought her whip down on Sage, who quickly dodged it and stabbed to his left, his blade filling the space just in time to meet ugly sister number two as she lunged at him. The blade pierced the fury from the neck down, leaving the fury little time to do anything more than make a surprised, wide eyes expression before bursting into monster dust. Sage's pale and sickly look, the after effects of his shadow travel with Lucas, started to fade as the monster's essence was pulled into the blade of his sword, the monster dust flying into the blade instead of simply falling to the floor. All that was left to show that the monster had been there before was her coiled whip, which fell next to Sage's feet. Sage smirked at Dodds, his face almost glowing with new strength, before striking at the fury with a blind slash.
Once again, he had a pissed off Fury trying to express her anger via whip, and her anger focused on Ish. Well, wasn't that just great, he wrenched one, angered it, the bus went wild and Sage got two of their attention, and what did he do? Wrenched the remaining Fury. He muttered to himself, barely avoiding the cracking whip strikes. "Because that worked so well the first time..." Whether that was directed at the Fury, or himself, was up to debate. Later debate, sure, but debate none the less. If the whips weren't on fire, this would be a lot easier. But that didn't stop him from lashing out where he could, being every sort of nuisance possible. He couldn't get close enough to try and bludgeon her head in, too much angry fury and whip between him and that kind of target. So he just did everything in his power to keep the furies attention, every sort of attack to keep it from turning away, taunting it, ect ect.
"What, your lord and master that dry on useful tools that he sent you three old hags incapable to taking out a handful of kids?" Demi god kids with weapons capable of banishing them, sure, but kids none the less. Some of the blows he had made so far showed, not as well as he would have hoped, but it was some mythological creature who ignored the normal way things worked when it came to blunt trauma. That was hardly fair, and if he wasn't certain he would need everything in his bag, he would have started playing tricks on the creature. But that was that, and he hoped Max would line up a good shot to put down, or at least incapacitate, the Fury before it got a good hit in on him.
“Ish, You are going to get yourself killed one day!” He called to the wrench wielding child of the smith god. Lucas personally had a new found respect for the jerkish kid, honestly, but he would never admit it out-loud. He took a deep breath, and tried to focus his attention on Mrs.Dodd’s who’s full attention was on Sage and his sword, He pulled out Riptide, in pin-form before uncapping it, which seemed to catch his old math teacher’s eyes as well; he really had some doubts she’d enjoy feeling his blade again; almost as much as Sage’s own. Though his focus changed to the other fury, who seemed to be putting up a bit of a fight against Ish. He took a second to look down at Riptide, before without even the slightest warning he pitched the sword, blade first towards fury number three. Neither she, nor Ms.Dodd’s had been expecting it, which played right into the advantage, as the third fury burst into monster dust. “That’s one you owe me Ish!” He called, as thunder made the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. Mrs. Dood’s now completely angry at the fact both of her sisters now gone. “Zeus will destroy you!” She promised “And Hades will have your soul!”
Lucas blinked realizing her statement had some truth, seeing as the sky was clear, and now thunder could be heard. “We should leave the bus now!” He said as he ran for the exit, a second round of thunder could be heard, and the hair on the back of his neck now pointing directly towards the roof of the bus, as he rolled his way out of the door. The passengers, and bus driver seeming to be walking around in a daze, as he himself had to sit up and gather his stomach as well as his dizzied vision, as he turned to look at the bus hoping his friends would make it out of the bus before the inevitable downcast from The lord of the gods.

"Stay still..." she murmured as she launched another, skimming the fury's arm as it dodged at the last moment. She scowled as she took another arrow from the quiver on her back, aiming for another strike.
She almost jumped out of her skin as Lucas's blade tore through the fury, glancing over at Lucas as he called to Ish. All that time trying to not shoot Ish could have been wasted by Lucas throw - though luckily, it seemed to have missed him. Her attention was caught as thunder rumbled above them, the screams of the last fury bringing her attention to the fact that the fury was in the way of her own and Ish's escape from the bus.
Max quickly raised her bow again, still standing in the back corner of the bus, she could get a shot at the last fury easily without hitting Sage or Lucas as long as they stayed in the centre aisle. Lucas seemed to have already started to make his way to the exit as Max fired; only taking a moment to watch the sliver of silver zip through the air, pass through where the heart of the fury would have been and get lodged into the head of the next row of seats.
As the fury became dust, Max grabbed her bag and was hurrying down the aisle to the door, assuming that Ish was following:
"Destroying demi-gods and soul-taking later, please." She called dismissively to the defeated fury as she moved down the bus to where Sage had been left. She would've liked to have survived at least a day on this quest. "Time to go!"

Thunder rolled again, the sound of the clash now far too close to the bus.. Hell, he could almost swear it was just over their heads. That was when Lucas started to yell as he ran away from them, towards the exit. “We should leave the bus now!” “What? Wh-” His sentence was cut short by the sudden feeling of voltage and the hair across his body starting to stand up on their ends. Max and Ish ran up to him just as the feeling started to intensify, both apparently all too aware of what was a bout to happen to them. He grabbed Ish's wrist, as he was the farthest away, and wrapped an arm tightly around Max (a move that would have usually had him blushing redder than a lobster) and closed his eyes. “I'm sorry!” He yelled as they quite suddenly disappeared, their forms seeming melting away into darkness.
They reappeared nearly instantly, several yards away from the bus just as a bolt of lightning rammed into the giant, metal vehicle. The bus almost immediately exploded, showering all of the passengers who'd been nearby with debris. Sage let go of his companions, who he was sure would be reeling for quite a while, and fell to his knees, dropping his sword onto the ground next to him. He stayed their for a moment, his skin steadily growing more pale as his body realized just how much energy he had used, and stared down at the handle of the whip the fury had left behind.; the magical item having been resting on his foot when they shadow traveled. His body started to shake as he reached down and grabbed the the coil of oddly colored leather, claiming his prize from the battle. A smile made its way across his face as his eyes started to go blank, the boy quickly losing the energy to stay conscious. His sword disappeared into darkness as the boy fell face first into the dirt below him, his ring reappearing on his finger as he fell.
Granted, due to the sound of the thunder, and the fact that hairs were standing on end, Ish believed that the big angry lightning bolt thrower in the sky was about to make good on the nasty creature's threat, and deadboys dad was going to make good on his end in that case. Well, isn't that just great, they fought off Furies only to just see the rest of them and himself fried. He was just about to look for a window to dive through in the hopes of avoiding the frying when Sage grabbed his wrist, grabbed Max as well, and said sorry right before shadow stepping. "Oh, this isn't going to end well..." was all Ish said before getting thrown through the shadows and ending up outside the bus as it detonated.
Without time to brace himself, Ish felt rather nauseous, even worse than usual, and while Sage collapsed completely, he braced against his knees bent over. He would have almost preferred to have gotten fried and detonated rather than standing here debating whether to throw up or not. He shook off the nausea eventually and stood up, scowling again. "I'd rant at him if he were awake. I'm not carrying him, I elect coral brain since he didn't just go through a step sideways to the sun." He promptly walked over to the nearest tree and collapsed to sit against it, already tired off what was going on. Day one, attempted murder by Furies and a major Deity. He'd say it couldn't go down hill from here, but it probably would continue to go that general direction anyways. "Alright, so, who gets wrenched for tipping off the Furies, and who is coming after us next? More realistically, how are we going to get from here to wherever we need to go now? Because this 'Quest' failed to take into account attempts to stop us, in all its brilliance..."
He knelt down lifting up Sage who surprising weighed a lot, though he had to consider the dead weight since he was out=cold, placing him on his back and resting his arms behind the male's knees to carry him. "Okay let's get on with this, we should try and get as far away from anything combustible, and farther on our journey, cause if things are gonna continue as they are now, I doubt we're gonna find another ride for awhile. "Oh and Ish, you should lead the way, your sufficiently handy with that wrench who knows, maybe you'll piss something off enough that it'll swat us all the way to where we need to go" He joked sarcastically just to keep up the mindless banter between him and the grease monkey.

She regretted opening her eyes, suddenly fighting with extreme nausea and dizziness that pushed her forward onto the ground. She brought herself to her knees, hands on her knees and arms straight to keep her upright. She focused on the grass below as she gasped for breath - willing herself not to be sick. Her mother had always told her that these things were mind over matter, and Max reminded herself of that now. When the illness subsided, Max slowly turned her gaze to find Sage face first in the dirt. It wasn't surprising that he was like that, he'd carried three people over two shadow steps - it took a great amount of energy to complete such a feat. That's when she took notice of the other boys discussing, actually more like whining on Ish's behalf, about their next moves. Initially she had disregarded Lucas's request for ideas from her, taking another moment to fight off nausea.
As Lucas hauled Sage up from the ground, Max dragged herself back onto her feet. She felt heavy and clumsy, stumbling a little as she stood thanks to a sudden wave of dizziness. When recovered, she slowly turned a full circle to assess the situation. The most important thing was getting out of sight of the burning bus, they would draw more unnecessary attention to themselves if they stayed - and there was even less of a chance of escape now that they were down to three. She spied a small patch of forest that could shelter them for a short while, then they could formulate a more in depth plan.
"Quit bickering," She wheeled round on the boys, ignoring another bought of dizziness as best as she could. Someone had to keep the group in check. "You're worse than a married couple."
She pointed back to the forest she'd spied across the way,
"We'll take cover there, just to get out of side of the mortals. I'm not sure that you'll be able to carry Sage much further than that anyway," She said, eyeing Lucas's slightly scrawny build. "Then we can do a little scouting to see what's nearby and what our travel options are, while Sage recovers some energy." Before the boys had a chance to protest to the only plan that had been voiced, she turned back to the patch of trees and began making her way there.
He brushed the thoughts from his head as he moved himself farther under the tree. "sooo, I was wrong, now we've got to worry about catching our death out here, how embarrassing would it be if we died from natural causes instead of having our entire beings be ripped asunder and all that?" He said with a sarcastic chuckle, He'd say this couldn't get any worse, if he didn't think that something else would spawn near them and proceed to go on a rampage trying to kill the only three awake demi-gods present. "So, One of us should probably stay with Sage, while the other two go out scouting, unless you think that's a bad idea Max" He figured he'd let her decide, being she was probably much better at scouting then him, and Ish combined.
Lucas made a comment of dying to natural causes, and Ish shrugged. "Not really likely, unless you eat something that doesn't agree with you. Even then, still not too likely to be quick." He took shelter under his own tree, refusing to share anything with anyone right now, and went about pulling out the flying shoes and putting them on, stuffing his old boots in the box while listening to what planning was going on. Downside one, they weren't his boots, and downside two, he wasn't used to wearing anything other than boots. Since Lucas directed his statement towards Max, Ish didn't really feel like making a comment, for once. He'd save that energy for when it was more worth the effort to do so.

"And that was just a warm up..." she murmured, freezing for a moment as the rain hit her before pulling the hood of her hooded jacket over her head. It would keep her dry, though her hair was too long, the ends of her bunches spilling from her hood and were soon drenched. For the first time, her reaction agreed with the boys, not appreciating the soaking. "Pulling out all the stops now to make this difficult."
Max slid her bow back on her shoulder as Lucas asked about scouting, nodding in agreement to his initial thoughts.
"We can't all leave Sage while he's like that," She said, noticing that Ish had sat himself down under his own tree. "Looks like Ish volunteered to stay...?" She added, giving another of her sweetest smiles. She was pretty sure Ish wouldn't want to wander around in the rain anyway. Max turned her attention back to Lucas,
"Keep an eye out for roads, train tracks or buildings close by. If you run into trouble, make an obvious signal for us - We'll be there as soon as, but you will have to hold your own till then, 'kay? My signal is a howl," She explained, glancing to Ish to check if he was keeping up. "Don't go out too far, and be back in an hour latest. We can't hang around for too long in one spot."
When she was sure that she'd explained the plan enough, she gave him a clap on the arm and a reassuring grin. Before disappearing, she knelt down by Sage, taking a moment to zip up his jacket for him. A treetop gave a little shelter, but not great and she doubted Ish would be helping with that any time soon. Max stood again, looking over to Ish again and giving him a little wave, "Now you be good!" she said, teasingly. If she didn't make fun of the fact she felt a little too much like everyone's mother, she would probably end up getting overly stressed by it. With that, she began to move away from the group and disappear among the trees.
He didn't really keep track of time as he walk, mostly just thinking about the situation, and mostly how it seriously sucked that it was raining, though most of his thoughts were to his mother stuck in the underworld, and how much he just wanted to find his way there and get her back, no matter the cost of it. He knew that was a stupid wish, that even if he could find his way in the underworld; there'd be no way for him to find his way back out, and with his mother in tow, he'd just wind up a modern Greek tragedy; that no one would ever know. His thoughts quieted soon, as he stumbled out of the forest onto a road; looking around and blinking a couple of times considering he had been mostly staring at the ground as he walked. He spotted something, incredibly odd, well other then a closed down gas-station, an old billboard for some nineteen nineties movie, it was one of those road side curio shops, that sold wooden indians, and lawn flamingos, and other such things, which he supposed wasn't completely odd, to people who traveled old back-roads and such. Though the thing that caught his attention the most was the smell of food, and nothing healthy it smelled deep fried and greesy; which really got his stomach growling. Which made him wanna laugh, from how loud his stomach was that could be a signal all in itself, or a hailing to some monsters out there that were just as hungry as he was.
"Okay, found something; she said signal for danger....soo" He turned around rubbing at the back of his head. "I reaaaaaally should have paid attention to where I was walking.." He mumbled to himself and began his walk back through the woods towards the place he had left Ish and Sage. When he felt like he was closing in on the place, or maybe it was just his legs were starting to hurt from the back and forth trek he had just made. He stopped and braced himself against a tree, thankfully the thunderstorm had stopped, so he could at least feel better about that. Once his minor break had finished he jogged the short distance between his tree and the tree they left Sage at. "Hey, guys I found something, well I'd say great but i didn't really stick around to find out, but seriously i could smell food and the place looked....well normal i guess." He said expecting to find more then Ish and Sage considering he still didn't keep track of time, or have a way to do it anyways. "Oh..wait just you Ish and our sleeping beauty." he shook his head some. "but yeah anyways I think I found us a place to at least get something in our stomachs, once Max get's back anyways."
Sadly, the time Ish had for peaceful quietness was interrupted by coral brain's return. He scowled at everything in general, and rolled his eyes at the bit about just him and sleeping beauty. "Still us, yes. You ruined the quiet, which I was rather enjoying. And I HIGHLY doubt that some place in the middle of nowhere will be getting us food for free. Do you have money? Does Max? Oh wait, money might be covered by the grave robber who's sleeping right now. Even so, something tells me a group of raggedy youths wandering in, so recently after a bus going up in electric flames from a CERTAIN trigger happy being, would be received oh so well." A rumble of thunder was all the warning he would get on that, and he finally grinned, having gotten an opportunity to call out the 'Gods' on their hypocrisy and general quickness to act without real thought again. Was it going to get him killed? Most likely, but he felt better doing so, so he didn't have a care doing so. Remaining stretched out, he waited for Max's return, stuck with Coral Brain and dead boy for the time being.
The word passed through Sage’s mind as he fell… Or was he really falling? He couldn’t tell… It was all so strange to him. Only a moment ago, he was kneeling in a field, with a bus exploding somewhere behind him.. Everything had gone black… And now he was here. Wherever here was… Everything around him was pitch black, a sight that would usually have been comforting and familiar to him, if not for the strange feeling going through his entire body. It was as if something were surrounding him.. Taking hold of him… His heart felt like ice, his body felt… Numb? No, he couldn’t feel anything, and he couldn’t turn to look around. All he could do was look straight… Or maybe the word was down? Yeah, it kind of felt like he was facing down. As he focused, he started to notice voices.. Little whispers around him, speaking the same word over and over… But he just couldn’t make out what it was. Above all else, he heard laughter. Cruel, horrible laughter that sounded something like raking a knife against stone, to him. Horrible as the voice was… It was familiar to him. He’d heard it before. Where, he did not know, but he knew it. ”The prodigal son returns again. It’s not time for you to help me yet, boy. Your time will come… Soon.” The words tore through Sage’s mind as white wisps, like smoke, started to circle about, filling his vision bit by bit as he felt himself being pushed. The laughter started again, but it grew more distant with each moment. The other voices grew stronger now, as the other faded.
” ξυπνώ, ξυπνώ, ξυπνώ, WAKE!”
“ξυπνώ!” Sage shouted, or tried to (the word coming out as little more than a whisper), as his eyes shot open, his body jerking as he rose quickly to a sitting position, his right hand immediately jerking to where his ring was on his left. He looked around quickly, his vision a bit blurry at first, but he could still make out Ishmael and Lucas; two sights that were actually slightly comforting to him. He’d woken just in time to hear something about a place to eat, and Ish’s usual counter to what seemed like a not too terrible idea. “I wouldn’t mind eating…” He said with a slightly trembling voice as his vision slowly started to clear. He looked over both Ish and Lucas, making sure that they weren’t missing anything and were completely unharmed, being more relieved by the well being of Ish than of Lucas. Of course, that was when he noticed a little detail that suddenly became one of consuming importance to him. “Where is Max?” He asked quickly, his voice rising and slowly losing the apparent exhaustion it had held only a moment before.
