Millions awake from their sleep to a boring world filled with false news, celebrity marriage, televised sports and countless other distractions and when the time comes for the sun to set and the moon to rise many find comfort and safety in their beds completely oblivious to fact that by night a vicious war is waged by ancient packs of werewolf's who fight to protect their wealth, pride, land, but most importantly their pack. Every 100 years a secret society of lycans known only as "The Covenant" purge the world of werewolf clans by hunting down and killing every member of the pack in order to maintain a healthy Human/werewolf ratio. By order of The Covenant, every pack must offer a pure blood female werewolf every 100 years in order to attain immunity from "The purge".

It has been 99 years since the last purge and their is a scarcity of pure blood's. Many packs fear the coming purge and desperately wish to keep their lineage alive by any means necessary. Fighting against The Covenant is synonymous to suicide in the world of Werewolves leaving only one option for most half blood packs... kill off a rival pack and take their female prize. One such case of this is that of a young werewolf named Scarlet who is the sole surviving pureblood female of her pack and on the day of her 17th birthday obtains not only gifts but a wanted level like none other. Scarlets only hope of freedom comes in the form of a Seth who has spent the last 17 years of his werewolf life watching and protecting Scarlet from any and all danger. but why? Does he intend to sell her to highest bidder?... trade her for his own packs freedom?...
