A dark, hoppy lager that hails from the Collenham Mountains. Rumor has it the beer is brewed in vats of dragon scale by blue flame, stirred for centuries by one everlasting man, but none have confirmed or denied this.

Description

Lavinia Akshasha

Image

Physical Description: As a drow, Lavinia's skin was ash gray, and her hair an unusual dark black color that had never been seen before in House Akshasha. One of her eyes had been white, the other red; a sign of the pact her family once made. However when she was sired as a vampire, due to the vitae now flowing through her veins, her eyes took on the bright yellow light of the beast within. When she takes pains to hide her eyes, such as through magic she usually makes them a non-assuming brown and rarely takes the eyes House Akshasha gave her. She is average height for a dark elf, measuring just over 70 inches, though still tall for a human female. She's rarely seen without her armor and fur cloak, and usually is carrying her beloved great sword. Her ears taper off and are slightly longer then the average elf before coming to a sharp point. Preferring glamour to actual make-up, and as such her only cosmetic accessory is a red hand-print over the lower half of her face.

Personality: After living for so long, and doing so much, Lavinia has grown quite removed from most human emotions. She still experiences rage, lust, envy, and certainly losing her beloved sword would necessitate loss, though perhaps not in the traditional sense of loss. Her superiority complex is abundantly evident, and bordering on an actual God complex. However she is also a terribly good liar, and knows when to turn on the charm when necessary, though it often behooves her to do so for gnats she could swat away with a thought.

Equipment & Abilities: Her sword; It lasted her centuries, though it had lacked a proper name when she commissioned it, the slayer of her enemies had since been lovingly named Back-Breaker. The sword was crafted by Dark Elf sorcerers and the demons they contracted to help them do so; it never lost it's edge, was impossibly heavy, and gilded with runes. The runes need to be charged, usually with the kinetic energy created through slaying, though sometimes directly from Akshasha herself. The runes can be commanded to release all the stored force, from any part of the sword to varying effects. The drow made the rest of her gear herself; the armor being heavily enchanted to ward off fire, and able to contain magical power like a battery. Her earrings, circlet, and rings also serve as magical batteries through virtue of enchantment.

Remnants of the pact House Akshasha made years ago, powerful magic still swirls in her veins, however it took the unholy Vitae of her sire to activate it. Lavinia has since had millennia to master it and has grown into quite the powerful practitioner. Though she still much prefers simply cleaving through people using her vampire strength and speed, when she can't be bothered she'll breathe life into the elements and watch them kill for her.

Historical Background: She had never seen sunlight before leaving her House, but she found that she missed that fact. Traveling to the surface world proved uneventful, and once she was in the open she vowed never to return home. Too much was to be done above ground in her short life, and Lavinia set out to make a name for her that wouldn't be overshadowed by the name Akshasha. However it wasn't long before she was targeted and swept up by a vampire named Swan. The two worked together as undead bandits for a little over a century before he up and disappeared on her. Lavinia searched the world and killed many looking for Swan but never found him.

So begins...

She pushed through the door, letting it close behind her before making her way to one of the empty stalls. Locking the stall door behind her, she did her business before flushing the toilet and moving over to the sink. Sighing, Gabrielle washed up her hands, soaping them nice and good before rinsing them off. The automatic paper towel device gave her what was needed to dry her hands and tossed the wet towels into the trash.

You were just imagining things
 stress ‘n all
She tried to reassure herself, but it was a fleeting attempt. Exhaling, Gabrielle found one of the females from the bar blocking the exit while also motioning her father.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. You couldn’t possible know who I am or who my father is...” Gabby shrugged a little, though she wasn’t quite sure how the female picked her out as being Remy’s daughter. Keeping that thought to herself while attempting to play it off, the mutant even managed to keep the accent out of her words.

Without thinking it, Blackbird scooted her stool closer to Morbick, the man was nicer than the elf... the Vampire. And the Bloodmage wasnt going to take any chances. However she continued to eat, regaining her strength. The barkeeper refilled her wine when motioned to do so. As well as the food, but made no motion to worry about the blood in the meat. He'd seen so much beforehand that it wasnt really a big deal anymore at that point.

"Most unnerving, that perfect heartbeat" Blackbird mused thoughtfully in Arendellian, a very ancient form of Norse. In english she said simply to Morbick "You know her ? What she is ?" His eyes were once again very beautiful, but at that moment Blackbird was more intent on eating, and surviving and maybe wrecking some warlords plans once she was done

"I'm older than I look ma cherie," The vampire smiled at the lovely creature before her. Mutant blood has such a sweet taste to it, and Akshasha almost started salivating at the thought. "I've been coming to Gambit's since it was a tiny dive bar. Me and your father, we go way back. When he had problems, I made them go away. It was a very simple relationship, and you seem stressed my dear. Why not let me, uh... drain you of your issues." The devilish smile of a predator crept across Akshasha's face. She wasn't lying certainly, she simply had an uncommon price.

The Vampire shrugged, letting the motion carry sensually across her lithe shoulders. "If you decide you want my services, the Prince or Elders could probably put you in touch with me, though no promises if you don't act now. I'm a busy gal, always another job to be done ~" Having said that, Akshasha winked at the mutant and started away, heading back to her newfound companions.

The other vampire seemed on edge, the beast within her acting like a wolf that had it's territory unexpectedly challenged. It almost felt colder in the bar, though perhaps it was only her imagination. Akshasha walked back slowly, hoping the bait she had set would be accepted and the mutant would bite hook, line, and sinker; chasing after the curious blood-sucker.

Only half-way back to the bar, she called out to the other vampire. "I don't think I caught your name young lady. I am Akshasha, I serve as Scourge to the Prince, and am very good at my job." She introduced herself with a mild threat, as the Scourge's job was essentially the Prince's executioner, though with much more pomp. Only then did the Dark Elf notice the vampire was keeping her distance from Blackbird and Morbick. How very curious...

Gabrielle just kept her visage blank despite the slight crawling sensation that was running up her spine at the female’s words. She didn’t remember the female hanging out in the bar, though it could have been before she was born? Musing a moment, the brunette decided she would inquire about that, especially since from the moment she and her sis were born, they were part of the bar scene since their mother also worked in the bar. Why would the woman be lying though? What profit would she gain by fibbing about knowing Remy? Shaking her head a little to clear her thoughts, Gabby felt that there was something about the female that was dangerous, but she was also intriguing at the same time.

Still thinking about the words that had been said, Gabby realized the stranger was walking back out of the room and she shook her head, needing to know more about what was being offered and of course, more about her father back then. Before she really realized what was happening, she stepped forward and grabbed a hold of the woman’s arm.

“Wait, I have questions before we even start to talk what you were offering.” Pausing, Gabrielle cleared her mind and spoke cautiously, but confidently. “First off, you claim you and my father go way back and that you’ve been hanging out here for a very long time. If that were the case, you would know my mother, my name, and the name of my sister, since we were raised in the bar. Answer those things and maybe we can talk more.” She ran her fingers through her hair, barely smiling. The conversation was bringing back unpleasant memories.

Right as Akshasha began to leave, the mutant reached out to stop her. She had bitten sooner than the vampire expected and she found herself breaking out into a fit of giggles. "Hmm? I know that you are a LeBeau, you practically have Gambit's eyes. Though..." The Dark Elf shrugged again, "The Prince has been keeping me busy perhaps I havent been here in decades without even realizing it. However, talk like this is always better over a drink." She started giggling again, slightly manically as she continued "I think I need a Bloody Mary, I am absolutely parched ♄"

As the girl had already taken the liberty of placing a hand on her, Akshasha felt comfortable pirouetting and grabbing the mutant with her free hand, spinning them both 1080 degrees out of the bathroom; the girl was light enough with her vastly increased strength. As a mortal she might have struggled, but currently the girl felt almost fragile in her arms. "Do you like music? I'm not half bad on the glass harp," she said smiling coyly.

Perhaps this plan may yet be salvaged then. The vampire led the mutant over to her accumulated prey and/or companions, and in a crestfallen voice, barely above a whisper, she said "Shame about what happened to your mum though, she was such a sweet young doll..." For a split second, the Blush of Life failed and the hungry beast in Akshasha's eyes burned brightly, though it quickly corrected itself and returned to a normal sea green.

"Oh Barkeep! One Bloody Mary, and a drink for my friend Renee here!" It was lucky the Dark Elf had a tab in the negative, as she was burning through drinks tonight. Perhaps it would constitute the need for her to actually bring money next time, even if only to reestablish a positive surplus. "Aussi, Un steak bleu, s'il vous plait ~" The bartender stared at her blankly, rather he stared at a wolf attempting to sit normally in a bar stool, though Akshasha hadn't even noticed. "Extra rare steak..." She wrinkled her nose as she unnecessarily explained.

It almost felt colder in the bar, something the vampire would rarely have noticed had she not been semi-alive currently. Only half-way back to her seat, she called out to the other vampire, who seemed on edge. "I don't think I caught your name young lady. I am Akshasha, I serve as Scourge to the Prince, and am very good at my job." She introduced herself with a mild threat, as the Scourge's job was essentially the Prince's executioner, though with much more pomp. "No, I do not," Morbick says quietly. "I do know what she is, however." He smiled a little when she scooted closer to him.

Angeline heard Akshasha introduce herself to her, and she beamed at her. Angeline had a beautiful smile, and her eyes lit up when Akshasha spoke to her." I am Angeline Quintessa, Dovahkiin." She introduced herself smartly. She leaned forward toward Ak, showing that she is interested in what she had to say.

][OOC: I am so sorry, Sepokku!][

Gabby’s eyes narrowed angrily at the giggles, not sure what was going on with the other female. The hairs on the back of her neck were standing at end and she wished that things were not so difficult. Before she had a chance to process what was going on, she was suddenly spun out of the bathroom, the other female leading her back to the bar. Shaking her head, she knew that she wasn’t in danger, at least not yet and while she would speak to the woman in the bar, there would definitely be no leaving with her.

“No, I’m not really a music person. I mean, I like listening to it when running and working out, but I’ve never been talented musically.” Realizing they were heading over to the others that the female had been with earlier, Gabrielle started to pull away, before deciding to go with the flow, though she did note her previous questions were not answered. Frowning a bit at that thought, Gabby started to ask again before the next few words spoken by Akshasha nearly knocked her for a loop.

“
thanks for your condolences.” Shaking her head a little towards the bartender, she knew he would bring her another Mountain Dew, though the urge to start drinking the hard stuff was pretty strong. “It’s Gabrielle
not Renee.” She managed, immediately wishing her stupid older sister would show her mug around again. Falling silent, she leaned against the counter and tapped her fingers against the surface, listening to the others interacting with each other.

“What exactly are you offering anyways?” She questioned Akshasha softly, not wanting others to butt in or overhear them.

The girl's apprehension was almost palpable in the air, she clearly was on edge, and so, as much as it behooved Akshasha, she was almost unwillingly to let slip the tiny scraps of information she was certain on loose. Though, the LeBeau girl seemed thoroughly interested, and that was enough for Akshasha.

"Oh...?" The vampire's index finger idly traced the rim of her newly replaced wine glass, creating a low C note as she did, a hum which resonated lightly throughout the bar. She feigned ignorance, knowing full well she had misidentified the mutant before her. "My apologies, you both look so much like your mother I couldn't see the difference." The girl continued to defensively try to gauge the situation, a thought which only slightly entertained the Drow.

"What... Am I, offering..?" The fermented grape juice hit the back of her only barely alive throat in a splash of decadence, the entire five or so ounces of alcohol hitting her mouth all at once, and washing down with a less than satisfying gulp. Nothing quite quenched her thirst like the life's blood of another anymore. The Dark Elf let the motion carry a shrug across her shoulders, "I'm not quite sure I guess. Am I offering anything? I thought I was asking that you offer more information about your, um... predicament."

The vampire played at taking another drink, noting that she was now out of liquor. "Humm... Some things in this world are so ephemeral, like stiff drinks... Barkeep?" She hesitated, uncertain of what to order at this point. A stiff whiskey? The good stuff, at least a decade old... Though, maybe it's become suspicious... Resolving herself, she asked "Just a coffee please, I fear all the poison's gone to my head ~" Honey coated her words, determined to win back the mutant's trust, she paid little attention to the others. Well, pretended to pay little attention, predators couldn't afford to tunnel vision. No not a predator such as herself.

Gabrielle’s brow arched a little when told that she and her sister looked a lot like their mother. She felt that Renee looked more like her father than she did, but the more she thought about it, she supposed they both did look a lot like Tayrn. Shaking off her thoughts, hating how much she missed her father and deceased mother, Gabby quickly pushed them back into the cage they had been kept in and just rolled her shoulders in a slight shrug.

“It’s fine
I never paid attention, I guess.” Shrugging again, Gabby sipped on her can of Dew and just inhaled the different scents in the bar, completely used to them by now.

“Errr
I guess you said something about draining me of my issues and offered your services. I want to know what you meant by those two things before we start talking about any issues I have or my predicament
” Gabby was on edge yet again and finally waved for the bartender, the male knowing what to bring her. As he brought Akshasha some coffee, he also brought Gabby over a kamikaze shot before just setting a bottle of vodka on the table in front of her. He knew if Remy showed up at that moment or even Renee, his ass would be grass, but the likelihood of that happening was slim, so he wasn’t too worried about it. Leaving the two alone, he returned to his other duties.

“Thanks.” Taking the shot glass, she tossed the liquid back into her throat, swallowing it quickly before popping open the new bottle of vodka, starting to drink straight out of the bottle. Everything was getting too much and she wanted to wash away the memories as quickly as possible.

Akshasha couldn't help but smile, the girl was thoroughly rattled and reaching for the drink. It made her job all the easier, and her terrifying grin would've immediately given away her nature, had she not taken the extra precaution to mask her appearance with the Blush of Life. Despite that fact, the Dark Elf was still a terrifying visage, with her slightly too wide smile. The vampire managed to fight down her excitement, but just barely.

She quickly slurped down the coffee in a hurry, the caffeine having absolutely no effect on her. The Huntress had chosen her words carefully, taking aim at the mutant's insecurities, and trying her hardest to rile her up. Seemingly having accomplished that, the vampire took a moment to revel in her success. "Of course, of course. I've been awfully cryptic, haven't I? I honestly thought you were your sister, which is why I was apprehensive. Renee and I have a bit of history..." She dismissed the notion with a wave of her hand, as if trying to waft away a particularly offensive smell.

"You see, I'm a sort of um... Fixer. I fix problems. Currently I''m employed by the Prince of this city. Think of the Prince as the lead boss of the city's underground. It's a gender neutral term, the Prince could be female or male, it only changes if they're of a different faction, and hence not the Prince." Akshasha didn't particularly like this Prince, but he gave her enough leeway that she tolerated him. "All this means I have a few um, connections. These valuable connections help me fix problems. Like, mayhaps where your sister is?" Akshasha, wasn't lying, in fact she was more truthful in this statement than she'd been all night, it was just the way she said it that made her uncomfortable.

Vaguely picking up on Akshasha drinking down her coffee, Gabrielle continued to nurse the bottle of vodka, ignoring how it burned as it slid down her throat. It had been a while since she drank last, but vodka and rum were always her go to drinks and that seemed to be the case now. Her attention finally drifted back towards the other female as she started to speak, silently taking in her words. Her brow arched when it was revealed that Akshasha had a history with Renee. Why didn’t her father or sister mention their interactions with such a person? Or right, they were bastards and never told her anything for fear of stressing her out or whatever. Sometimes being the baby of the family sucked hard. Deciding to just let that revelation go, not having it in her to talk about her sister, Gabby just shrugged a little. Downing more of the bottle, she grunted a little, it already almost gone.

“Rum please, ‘tender.” Gabby called out to the male as soon as there was a slight pause in Akshasha’s explanation. Attention once again returned towards the female and she sat the now empty bottle on the bar, not quite sure why this person would even offer to fix what problems she had. It seemed suspicious, but maybe she was just overthinking things. Chewing on her bottom lip, she took the open bottle of rum and started to drink out of it, knowing she was going to regret all the drinking in the morning. At least she only had to go a few feet to get to bed unlike in the past.

“Fine, let’s say I ask you to find my sister
what will it cost me?” She questioned, still downing the rum as if it were nothing but water.

"My, my, my!" Akshasha was pleasantly surprised by the mutant's reaction. She was certainly behaving in a way that was unique to mutants. Many humans drowned their sorrow in the drink, but often enough Mutants simply became intoxicated with power. The girl's apprehension was near palpable in the air, and the Vampire felt no remorse driving the point home.

"I live to serve, my dear! More often than not, my services cost nothing but your satisfaction ~" The drow ended her statement with a wink, as if sharing a secret both the girls knew by heart. An intoxicated subject made her work so much easier, but also... She wasn't sure if she enjoyed that fact. The Dark Elf disregarded the notion, rather he was too interested in the Lebeau girl to even think of it.

As the bartender brought the rum back to Gabby, Akshasha's arm shot out eerily fast, and seized the rum from the bartender's hand, exactly as his grip loosened to put the glass down, but before he had actually dropped the glass. With a quick draught, she drained the glass and her eyes seemed to shine; though not so much as to actually reveal the Beast within. "I've no need for monetary satisfaction and the thrill of serving the Lebeau's is enough for me." Another wolfish grin spread across the girl's face and she could barely contain her excitement.

"Believe me, your sister's sudden disappearance came as much a shock to me as it did to you." The Elf's shoulders rolled carefully in acknowledgment of the thought. "The Prince pays me well. If you've no need for me, I'd just as rather be gone!" The Drow's honeyed words were a lie, of course, but they fit the scenario well enough. The gentle grin across her face said as much as she held the empty glass in her hands.

Something was pressing at her mind, trying to tell her to just leave while she was ahead, but the stubborn teenager was refusing to listen to that voice. She was tired of being scared of things and knew she couldn’t stay hidden in the bar forever. If this person was willing to help, then so be it. Narrowing her eyes a little when Akshasha stole her glass of rum, Gabby just growled low in her throat, though the bottle itself was still in her hands. Returning her attention back to her rum, she kept drinking greedily before setting down the bottle, though she kept her hands tight around it.

“Dere has t’ be a catch, Akshasha. No one, and I mean no one, gives dere services for free. I wasn’t born yesterday yenno.” Her words were slightly slurred, but not enough to make that much of a difference, though her accent was beginning to show a lot more.

“Dere is som’ting weird going on
I’d remember you if you were friends wit’ my sister.” Then again, there was a long time where her sister had been missing in action and this stranger very well could have befriended her. But, why wasn’t she mentioned? The only person Gabrielle knew of was Liam. Her head was fuzzy and while she knew she should stop drinking, the mutant couldn’t stop herself and was bringing the bottle to her mouth again, downing even more of it. What if Akshasha did know how to find Renee? Could she just let her leave?

“Alright
I guess I’m asking you to find my sister den
” Gabby exhaled deeply, finishing off the bottle of rum.

Now for the fun part... The beast within the blood-sucking Night Elf began to thrash at the bindings that held it in place. Akshasha's particular bloodline made controlling the beast easier, but with everything going on and the visible inebriation of the mutant girl before her, it was proving a little more difficult than usual. Her eyes watched with heated fervor as the girl continued to drink straight from the bottle, a fervor that would have betrayed the sickly yellow light of the Beast within had she not put up a facade; even then it proved a little harder than she would've liked to remain calm.

"Favor from the LeBeau's is payment enough. I can almost imagine Remy's face when he hears how much I've helped his daughters." A low growl almost began to build in the Vampire's throat, but she managed to turn it into more of a 'clearing her throat' noise. She coughed, as if clearly she needed to clear her throat before speaking again. "Actions speak louder than words, I could spit petty words all day or show you what I mean."

Renee, rather her sister Gabrielle seemed to doubt Akshasha's legitimacy, which was fair enough, as she was certainly hiding something. "You honestly believe Renee didn't meet anyone in the time you were gone? Or that she had only meant one or two people? Pish Posh, she was quite the socialite when need be. I presume she never mentioned the Kindred she associated with either?"

Gabrielle finished the bottle, So much drink must have her blood alcohol content quite swimming at this point... Akshasha couldn't keep a grin from splitting her face, "I know people, many of them scared to True Death at the thought of the Prince's Scourge coming for them. Some of them mentioned seeing your sister with their ilk, it'd be simple enough to follow the proverbial grape vine to find your, um, blood relative."

Truly, the mutant's blood would be similar enough to her sister's that she could probably use it to track the latter. If her sire were here, he'd be able to sniff her out in a matter of days, using his Ghoul Animals to hunt down the blood's scent. Shame he were entirely missing in action. "I can do that, find her that is. I just need your cooperation, of course." As such, the trap was sprung.

Placing the now finished bottle down on the counter, Gabrielle knew without a doubt that she had pushed her limit. The fuzziness was intensifying and she could have sworn the room was beginning to spin a little. Grunting and placing her hands firmly on the counter while also ensuring her feet were secure on the stool, the mutant wrinkled her nose up just a little and shifted her attention back towards Akshasha. Of course, Remy would be happy that someone helped his daughters, especially since he couldn’t be bothered. Resisting a slight snarl that always seemed to slip out when thinking or talking about her father, Gabby instead just managed a shrug.

“Guess he’d be happy
” She managed, fingers running shakily through her hair. Grunting a little, she found herself frowning at the mention of her sister meeting people without telling her who all she had befriended. They were supposed to tell each other everything, but she supposed they hadn’t talked all that much. They certainly hadn’t seen each other since Gabby had been kidnapped and she still wasn’t sure how long she had been gone. Sighing, the mutant almost asked for another bottle of booze, but knew better than to drink too much, especially since it had been a long time since she last drank.

“Dat’s a good point
It’s been a while since I’ve seen her
” Gabby mused and ran her fingers through her hair again, the bar spinning even more. “So
 let’s go find her den
 you got my coop’ration
” Her words were starting to slur, but she wanted nothing more to find her sister and if Akshasha could help, then so be it.

Blood gave off a certain smell when it hit a certain toxicity, or perhaps it was people themselves, the scent of too much bile and a depressed cardiovascular system. Either way, young Ms. LeBeau had reached that point... The Dark Elf stood up, her long lithe frame stretching lazily, like a lioness waking up for the hunt. "Ask and you shall receive my sweet," Pretending it was only a second thought, she turned to the barkeep "Bottle of Spiced Rum for the road! On my tab."

With the mortal poison in hand, and a clear destination in mind, Akshasha started out of the bar. Taking Gabrielle's wrist in her other hand, she carefully guided the intoxicated young mutant out of the Bar, and towards the exit of the Gambit Building. "We need to get to street level, and squeeze a few rats until they squeal! That should be a fine not quite finish to find or finagle your fine familia!" The alliteration made the Vampire giggle.

Her Blush of Life would be dissipating soon, and reveal her true nature. That is unless she spent more Vitae to keep it up, a thought which was quite draining of her newly found energy. She undid the cork keeping the rum enclosed with her teeth and spat it into a nearby waste bin, before taking a long pull from the bottle.

Feeding off someone to replenish would be counter-intuitive, and the Drow wondered what exactly Gabrielle would think when she found out she'd been lured into the night by a blood-thirsty leech. Only one way to find out! With a final mad giggle, Akshasha only barely metaphorically put her nose to the trail and started looking for some whelps that might lead her to another Vampire with the clout to answer the questions she had.

As soon as Akshasha slid to her feet, Gabrielle did the same, albeit not as gracefully. She wobbled a moment or two while the other female was ordering the bottle of Spiced Rum and almost ordered herself something else, but her brain wasn’t functioning appropriately. Instead, she just steadied herself and allowed her wrist to be snatched. Without another thought, she moved out of the bar, grumping a bit when the air hit her face. She liked the atmosphere of the bar and as usual, the outside appeared way too open and dangerous. Shifting her attention back towards Akshasha at her giggle, she slowly nodded, hoping there wouldn’t squeezing actual rats.

“Sure t’ing.” Gabby nodded again, pumping her fist up into the air, though it wasn’t clear just what she was fist pumping.

“Hope dis don’t take long. It’s not safe outside
not fer me, it seems.” She mused, head shaking a bit before she continued down the sidewalk, not sure where it was they needed to go.

"Not safe? Whatever do you mean?" As Akshasha walked through Wing City she soon realized she'd have to be taking care to go slowly enough that her inebriated companion could keep up. It wasn't long, however, before the smell hit her and she realized that they were fast approaching her destination. "Ahh, the smell of the dregs of society in the night sky, music to my senses." The Dark Elf found herself with a newfound spring in her step.

The walls of nondescript buildings rose up on either side, creating an ominous looking alleyway, the smell growing worse and worse the further they went into it. "Pardon the offensive odor, the Nosferatu I'm looking for always manage to find the WORST places to eke out a living." A few rats scurried by, seemingly in fear of something, running right underfoot and out of the alleyway. "Aha! Surely they're running from the Nosferatu, which means he's close."

By now, the Blush of Life was beginning to wear off again, and the Vampire couldn't afford to keep expending Vitae to keep it up, so she simply let it decay, the fire of the Beast within her beginning to paint her eyes and eerie yellow color, as her fangs slowly became once more visible. She raised one hand slightly, using Vitae to summon all the rats within a thousand yard radius. They obeyed her command without thinking, unable to resist the call of the Beast. "Oh Mr. Tung! I have a horde of tasty rats for you. If only you'll answer me a few questions.

As if on cue, a manhole cover a bit ahead of the two exploded off the ground, aimed perfectly at the Drow's head. She caught it with a bored expression, and said to Gabrielle over her shoulder "Don't mind him, his bark is worse than his bite." A humanoid crawled out of the sewer, it's face deformed almost beyond belief. He had pustules on his bald misshaped head, and a long tapering elf-like ear that was pierced in multiple places. His other ear was simply missing, as if torn off, and it's fingers ended in long claw-like nails.

The creature stayed on all fours, and crept forward slowly, licking it's lips as it eyed the rats. "Yeah, yeah." Bertram's voice was grating and raspy, like he had just finished gargling nails. "Fuck, d'ya want?"

Akshasha dropped the manhole cover, crushing a rat or two as it fell, though the rest dared not react and simply stayed frozen in place. "The LeBeau family, daughters, tell me everything."

Bertram finally stood up, staring directly at Gabrielle with his ugly, sunken in eyes. "I need 'er say so first," he croaked out.

“Err
” Gabrielle blinked, trying to figure out how to explain what she meant. Her mind was beginning to fog over more and finally after a few minutes, she just shrugged and hoped for the best when it came to her explanation. “Just
bad t’ings always seem to find me. People try to use me and my sis to get back at my pops
dat type of t’ing.” Her nose scrunched up a little as a foul odor slammed into her senses. That coupled with the booze rampaging throughout her body was not a good combination.

“Ugh
” Making a face, she stared down the dark alleyway before bringing her hand up against her nose to pinch it a little. Yeah, she definitely was going to puke if they remained around the stench much longer. Wait, a Nosferatu? Poking through the haze in her noggin, she tried to remember not only where she heard that name before, but also just what it meant. Grunting when her attention was brought back to the situation at hand, she just stared as tons of rats neared their location. “Oh, gross
” Mumbling, the brunette was starting to regret her decisions, especially the ones that led up to her being in a dark alley with a stranger, rats, and a Nosferatu. Eyes widened when the manhole came careening towards Akshasha’s head and she was amazed when the female caught it.

“That’s good
I think.” She managed, not sure if anyone that could toss a manhole cover like that had a bark worse than its bite, but for the moment, she would just wait and see what happened. As Gabby gazed upon the one named Bertram, she ran her fingers against her front pockets, glad that she had remembered to shove a pack of playing cards there prior to leaving the backroom many moons ago. It relaxed her a little, though she couldn’t help but step back a little bit, not wanting to be close to the creature, especially when he turned his gaze on her.

“My say so
? Erm
you have it?” Gabby wasn’t sure why he needed her permission to talk about her family, but if it led to her sister, then so be it.

Bertram nodded slightly at the mutant girl's assent, rubbing his hands together greedily. "Yes, yes." His hoarse voice creaked out. "Well you see, the LeBeau girls, er, that is to say daughters of the mutant Gambit are quite famous among us Kindred." Bertram took a pause and cautiously snatched up a rat, taking his careful time to drain the creature fully of it's life blood. "Ahhh, Ya see Renee, made a habit of frequenting us Kindred, using us for her protection and/or odd jobs."

Akshasha simply nodded, this much was already known to her, she was waiting for something juicy to entice her and her compatriot. Bertram had been her source for a decade or so now, though he wasn't very old in comparison, and they way he slurped up the rat mid-bargain was nothing new to her. "Nosferatu tend to be the spymasters among the Kindred" The thought rolled off her shoulders like the shrug that accompanied it.

Bertram continued "Last I heard, Renee was knee-deep in trouble that came with associating with us leeches. She made friends with some Vampires who were wanted dead by the Prince and his local hierarchy, they went to great lengths to hunt down the Kindred and their friends, I wouldn't be surprised if she was killed by their assassins already. He reached for another rat before the Drow girl snatched up his hand and gave it a literal and metaphorical twist. "So where did you last see her?"

Bertram snarled, wanting to bite at the Dark Elf, but unwilling to draw her ire. "S-She was here in Wing City! Last I heard, she was among the city's Kindred, the Sabbat, warned us not to interact with her. We are the army of Caine, and we will be the righteous sword that strikes down Mankind and Kindred alike!" He managed to sputter out despite his pain. The Huntress released him, allowing him a moment to bask in his pain.

"There you have it." Akshasha said, regaining her composure as the Beast within fought not to drain the dirty Nosferatu of his Vitae entirely. "Renee is so close, yet so far. If she is embroiled with the Sabbat it'll be quite the battle. I don't associate with their ilk myself, but.... The dirty filthy minded little cockroaches aren't hard to find." The rats rushed to embrace Bertram, on order of the Pure-Blood that had summoned them. "Dear LeBeau, are you willing to accompany me to the dredges of society in order to find her?"

Bertram ignored the conflict between the Scourge and the Mutant girl, enticed by the rats as he was. He scooped up three of the vermin and quickly set about draining them. Such a treat wasn't readily available to him, as he usually disguised himself and ate humans, but these dainty morsels were too numerous to pass up. "If you hurry," he started "You might just catch her, I hear she ain't far off from 'ere" The verminous Kindred said between mouthfuls of Vermin. "'Sup ta you, if ya really want ta find 'er" He drained another rats dry in a short few seconds, slurping down what little Vitae they had to offer.
