Alistair Nahan

Meh.

0 · 2,499 views · located in Gambit's Hotel, 2nd Floor

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by HitoriRaven

Description

A half-daemon, son of Seere, former thief and rogue. Long silver hair, green eyes, and usually wears a dark cloak and black clothes.

Typically would define himself as "bad, not evil. Never." Though since he killed an innocent woman, he has gone deep into thought about this.

He has:

Daggers on his waist, legs, arms and wrists.

Niā€™thorne the Spear of Thorns
Niā€™thorne was once wield by a legendary woman named Lothilir Elorith. She was a great and powerful figure in the creation of Gaia. Earth was moved with barely a whisper of Will. She forged the soil of Gaia; raised mountains for protection, smoothed plains for crops and cattle, and sloped the edge of the world into the seas.

The shaft of the spear glows with wood from the trees of the Whispering Woods. It vibrates with great power; power enough to move the earth. At the tip of the spear is a long, sharp, and deadly green blade that oozes with a poisonous sap. It coats the blade and just one knick from Niā€™thorne will render an opponent paralytic over a short time and only for a short time. Stones and gems hang from the shaft of the spear but serve only as decoration being tokens from the earth.

Niā€™thorne gives manipulating power over the earth element on Gaia. However, it is a very unyielding, stubborn, weapon. It will not be mastered by just any Bearer. When first gained, Niā€™throne will not respond to any magical prod nor poke. Itā€™s unwavering loyalty must first be earned as with any human woman. Itā€™s true potential will never be tapped unless wielded by Lothilir herself, for the woman had bound most of the weaponā€™s power. Only someone with a stronger heart and Will than she will be able to unlock the potential.

Otherwise, the Bearer will only be able to summon up weak and small shields of earth or even be limited to just stirring up dust.

So begins...

"In this part of tha world, we don't walk 'round like we just ate a damned steak, rare. Or like we just killed somemone, and was too lazy ta wipe our mouth. The only reason I was sneakin up on ya is cause ya could look like ya wanna kill someone, like ya do right now. Ain't takin no chances."

Alistair's emerald eyes flashed with surprise as he watched Synje. He shrugged, frowning slightly. He rolled on the balls of his feet, still expecting something. This creature didn't sit well with his instincts. Something bothered him. And he figured out what it was as Synje pulled out a human-looking leg.

In contrast, Alistair is still very wary. Something is definitely wrong, though there has been no violence quite yet. He stabs his spear into the ground nearby, ready to grab it. His other hand is still inside the cloak's sleeve, still ready for action.

Alistair grinned slightly for the first time since the encounter.

Alistair was confused, his face dropping into a suspicious neutral stare. How did this thing know what he was?

Alistair was equally as indifferent. It didn't matter how Synje knew, as long as he wasn't going to attack, Alistair was content to go about his business. He grabbed his spear as he walked back the way he came, vaguely.

Thankfully, Alistair's ears were a decent amount better than an average human's. He barely picked up the words over the woods, but threw back a reply.

The setting changes from Gaia to Gambit's Bar

Alistair Nahan strolled into the bar. He wished he could release his wings, but especially in a place as crowded as it was here, it'd be too dangerous. No doubt there'd be someone here who didn't take well to half-daemons. He casually made his way to the bar, plopping himself next to Odgerel. His black cloak was wrapped around most of his body, and a hood covered his silver hair. "Looks like a fun place, here. Ya lookin beat up there, lady. Get in a fight or somethin?" He observed the machine intently, curious as to what it was, exactly.

Alistair raised an eyebrow at Odgerel. "Ya ship? How does ya ship gettin into a battle hurt ya?" He shrugged, turning to the bartender. "Jus' a beer. I dunno what all these fancy drinks are." As he placed his elbows on the bar counter and leaned on them, he also nodded towards her collar. "What's that thing there? Looks complicated."

"Ya ship? Sounds interestin." He gave her a vaguely probing glance before turning back to his beer which had just arrived. "Ya don't actually look banged up. More like just ya clothes. Not that I'm starin or anythin." He made a point to look at her face when speaking to her, while taking a solid gulp from his beer. "Ya ship messed up bad enough fa ya boss ta be mad? Who were ya messin with that would fuck ya up so badly?" As she mentioned aliens, he flushed quietly, strangely self-conscious of his wings, which were hopefully hidden. "Yeah..erm..aliens. Does that mean ya're a normal person then?" Normal people didn't walk away from a fight unscathed, though.

Alistair gave a small lift and drop of his shoulders. "Maybe I looked a little." His eyes widened for a second, stopping mid-drink. "Huh? Pirates? Sounds bad. Actually, they sound like my kinda people...well, used to be my kinda people. Whateva." He nodded respectfully even though most of what she said flew straight over his head. "Erm...right...fractal storm...supra light..." He raised a hand in surrender, not being one to lie. Because even 'bad' people could be honest. Saved a lot of trouble. "Yeah, okay. I didn't get most of tha'. Sounds pretty bad though. But hey, if ya got tha job done, it's probably not as horrible as it sounds, right?" He nodded to himself in agreement, and downed his mug of beer.

"I guess I don't. Though it all sounds very interestin. Just not my kinda thing." He shrugged, reaching a head to scratch his head as an instinctive gesture. He realized his hood was still on, stupidly, and pulled it down, revealing his long silver hair, tied up into a ponytail. That, at least, was probably safe enough to do. As long as no one asked him to take off the whole thing. "Sure. Not 'good', but at least ya got what ya were told ta done. So tha's good, at least. Whaddya got planned in tha meantime, then?" He also jabbed a finger at her flame, curiousity getting the better of him. "And what are ya, exactly? Some kinda mage?"

"Hah. Sounds good." He matched her volume to speak clearly. "Ya can eat energy? That's amazin. Wish I could do tha'. All I can...erm..yeah, can't do much. And yeah, sounds super helpful. Bet ya don't run outta power very much, huh?" He turned to his empty mug, waving down the bartender for another. "What am I doin here? I guess I'm lookin for work. Not many searchin for people with my talents. Or many searchin for someone like me period." Of course, he didn't mention what kind of person he was. The noises bothered him, and he muttered under his breath. "Who tha fuck's drivin outside? Hell, sounds like a whole group 'o people. The 'el?"

"I bet ya are." He glanced down at the tattoo before looking back up her with a playful wink. Sure, he didn't necessarily expect anything, but fun was fun. He thought for a second, before asking quizzically, "Can ya get fat on energy? Man, this's a lot more complicated than it sounds at first." He rolled his eyes around before giving up and drinking from his new beer. "Military? Hum. The hell they want with a bar? And nah, they probably ain't after me. I haven't stolen nothin in at least a week. I mean...uh..meh." 'Bad' guys didn't need excuses. "They're pretty damn loud though."

Alistair grinned wider. "Yeah? Tell me when ya eat too much then. I like my hair on mah head, yeah? Though I guess it'd be good ta have ya around at night." He snickered at his own double entendre, just because. Also, he might've been slightly tipsy. But not too much. "Weird, eh? Guess it can't be as weird as a military rollin down the street." He posed his finger near her stomach, pointing. "Whaddya mean they wouldn't need that many? I thought ya could throw a shitload'a energy at em? I'd think they'd need more ta take ya." More vague double entendres. To top it off, he took another drink.

"A nuke? Yeah, guess it'd be a bit hard ta get somethin like that up round here." He snickered again. "Guess ya'd be better off showin me some of these other night tricks, huh?" In contrast, Alistair had perfected his innocent smile, shooting it at her right now. Of course, his tone of voice was fairly suggestive. "Though you're pretty damn right bout stayin outta trouble. Only fight when ya hafta, no doubt. Fightin takes up a lotta time an energy I'm savin for other things." He interjected a grin here, but continued quite seriously. "I'd think ya wouldn't blow up this place anyway, right?"

"Of course. One always needs a place ta drink and socialize, I'd say. Even if that person is supah busy with space pirates'n stuff." He nodded in agreement before clapping. "Bravo. Not exactly what I was expectin, but pretty cool nonethaless." He raised a brow, nodding at the direction of the fireball. "What if ya spend all ya energy though?" He could've said more there, but chose to take another drink instead. Ha also gave a small smile as the noises died down. "Looks like ya won't need ta explode all ovah the place afta all."

Alistair grimaced, finishing his beer and deciding he was probably done. He nodded at the bartender. "Water." He faced her again. "I wish I could recharge that quickly. Sheesh. Lucky lady, share some 'o tha powah with me." He shook his head slowly, before looking up again and grinning at her comment. "I couldn't tell ya why either. Maybe ya should try it some time, eh? Maybe I could figure it out." He glanced at her cigarette. "Almost out there."

Alistair nodded. He picked up the cue. "Aight. Well, I guess I'll catch ya around, lady." He quietly slipped out of the bar, avoiding the commotion. His silver hair flashed under the light, and he pulled up his hood, exiting.

Alistair slipped back into the bar. He'd forgotten something....but ironically forgot what it was as he entered. If that was the case, it probably wasn't a big deal anyway. He made his way back over to the bar, this time sitting next to Kit. Odgerel looked busy with someone important, and they had been done talking anyway. "Hey. Ya smell like blood. I think if ya wearin somethin under tha' jacket, it's gettin stained." His better-than-average senses were vaguely able to pick up the scent of coppery-blood-smell.
