Musical Theme: Shinedown - I'm Alive
Arden Musical Theme: Fairy Tail - Fairy Law

Name: Dyew/Arden
Age: Unknown
Race: Ardenian/Personification, Avatar, High Warden
Significant Relations: Unknown
Faction: None

Physical Description: Most of the time Dyew resembles a human with brown or green eyes. He appears to be of average height and exceptional physical build. His eye color changes with his emotions like many Ardenians. His primary attire is that of the common fantasy style adventurer at home in the wilds of the world. This consists of dark leather garments, ivory colored cotton, and wool clothing. His most noticeable feature is a white travel worn cloak embroidered with dark script in the pattern of chains or a black ragged and torn cloak that changes shape, size, moves, and omits an audible keening noise. At times he will wear modern clothing consisting of blue jeans, work boots, and an un-tucked, dark blue, button down shirt. He is also known for his beard and mustache.

Personality: Dyew can be extremely intimidating despite his average height but for the most part he is a kind individual that attempts to present his personal experience and wisdom in all the interactions he undertakes. He is an excellent source of information, wisdom, and advice. He was the original writer of the Warden's Pledge, the guide posts the wardens attempt to follow, and a set of edicts that most Ardenian wardens attempt to learn from. As such he can be considered a good individual at his center.

Skills, Abilities, Equipment, Weapons: Dyew is a mysterious being. Be assured that he carries with him an armory, that his skills are preternaturally honed, that his abilities are potent and far reaching, and that every piece of gear he carries has an important and valuable use. Known powers include:

- High Warden: On top of the abilities of the most deadly and celebrated Ardenian hero to ever tread existence Dyew is one of two High Wardens, classified as personifications. As such he represents not one character, but two and an avatar to a existential guardian. This grants him access to a wide variety of divine/god like capabilities to fulfill his purpose. He does not claim nor hold any omni-status but other entities that claim or hold an omni-status do not do so in reference to him. This means that beings that claim such a status do not know him and can not overpower or change his status simply because they claim or hold an omni-status. Many of his displayed aspects are beyond mortal comprehension. There is no known way to completely destroy a High Warden. A High Warden's purpose is to function as a celestial jailer or keeper, binding, and sealing away entities, objects, or places that pose a grave threat to existence. As such he has the tools needed to trap, confine, or seal away other divine entities and objects of truly malevolent or Lovecraftian origin. The High Wardens do have a small number of followers but this does not influence their level of influence as they are not gods and act in a different capacity.

- Avatar Spirit: Dyew's and/or Arden's manifestation in reality is an extension of his true self and has considerably less influence. He limits his power in this way to prevent the damage and strain that his actual presence would cause to the shared reality outside of his realm, the City of Doors. In this form he has ethereal physiology and consists of super dense spiritual stuff. This causes his form to be nearly impervious to physical harm through conventional means. His equipment can consist of the same stuff in varying degrees of density but is often real equipment of legendary make and material. In essence his manifested body is a phantasm and a shadow of the truth but formidable to a degree beyond mortal comprehension and immune to assaults that do not share a similar nature.

"I am all wrath, passion, and fortitude. I am the personification of courage and conflict."
- Arden

"O, it is excellent to have a giant's strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant."
- William Shakespeare

Dyew raised an eyebrow. "What did this someone look like?", he said crossing his arms and studied Lance for a moment.

Dyew rubbed his beard. "I take it you somehow know he has been here? I wear a hood from time to time and you would be hard pressed to spend a day in gambits without seeing a man with a hood step in for a bit.", he said, pondering for a few moments before speaking again. I did see a man in here yesterday. He wore a dark hood that covered his facial features but his eyes had an inner glow the color of lavender. He had two men with him, one of which he slew before my eyes. This was yesterday around this same time.

Dyew leaned forward. “He threatened me and then he complemented me. I found it strange and this is why I recall it now.”

Dyew shrugged. "I do not know if it was the man you were looking for. I do wish you luck however.", he said before raising his mug to his lips and take a few sips of whatever he was drinking.

Dyew took out a long stemmed pipe, tapped it out, filled the bowl, and lit it before blowing smoke rings across Gambit's. "I am glad I could be of assistance.", he said, smiling a friendly smile before lounging back in his booth seat.

Dyew had been lounging in his seat, staring out in Chasm's general direction. "Let me give some advice that you were kind enough to give me last night. I'd recommend strongly not taking interest in me. It might cost you your life. It might cost you much more than your life.", he said and the look in his eyes spoke to the man whose eyes he now stared into that he was deadly serious. "You don't want me in this fight and I rather sit and drink my cider and smoke."

He turned away from Chasm with apparently no ill effects from the death gaze.

Dyew removed his pipe from between his teeth and then took a line straight out of a Marvel Comic. "Don't. Don't make me angry. You would not like me when I am angry."

Dyew was still sitting quietly in the back of the bar in a booth, smoking a long stemmed pipe. She looked to Chen-Hua as she entered, nodded, smiled, and then went back to mining his own affairs.

Dyew entered, stepping silently among grand pillars carved of solid onyx blocks and emblazoned with scintillating strokes of artfully wrought metal the color of utter void. Somehow the decor still reflected the dim candle light, warping it to chill rather than warm. The ground trembled ever so slightly but this passed nearly as quickly as it started, baring no harm to the structure's beautiful parapets and towers. It was late in the night when the he came into the shrine and no being appeared to move about but him.

Dyew knew the dance. They had moved through the same steps. This was how it always happened. This was how it would always happen. "My lady.", he said in a voice deeper but no less clear and beautiful. He held forth his hand as if to beckon her.

The cool ocean waters lapped at the rocky beach as the morning tide reached its height and light waves rolled across the shore before receding back into the Aries ocean to leave bits of driftwood and seawood strewn along the coast of Inachus. It had a rhythm to it, a pulse and a sway as it swept in and fell back to the breath of Langara.

The pristine beach was marred this day only by the form of a woman sprawled upon the rocky beach with bits of seaweed entangled about her arms and legs. The water licked at her clothes but with the receding waves the ocean seemed content to leave the discarded woman behind.

She was dressed in a foreigners clothes, but for those unfamiliar with Harmaen culture, the cut of the cloth and the ornaments sewn into the fabric still bore a distant Indian influence. Though the influence was light, to one not well versed in the cultural distinctions the mistake could easily be made as to her ethnicity.

As the tide swept back out to sea the woman did not stir, nor did she stir as the noonday sun reached its zenith in the sky.

Dyew lay sprawled across the red grass. Strange that the grass was red and smelled faintly of a mixture between strawberries and watermelon. Frankly it was not him that found the color or odor of the strawberry-watermelon grass strange but he did realize that most that had never been to Haven would have found it peculiar. His white hood hung limply over his steel blue eyes, shading his sight and the bridge of his nose from the rays of Haven’s white sun.

Between his teeth was clenched a long pipe though the lack of smoke issuing from the pipe’s bowl declared that it was not lit and that it was either formerly lit or that he planned to light it in the very near future. Rainbow light reflected off the lake’s surface, broken not by the water but by the tremendous quartz crystals that grew under the surface. The wind that whipped upon the lake’s surface caused the reflecting angles to waver, casting the vibrant colors about the small shore and across the brown and green clothing that the pilgrim wore. Was he a pilgrim here on a spiritual journey? Most folks that came here were.
