Elante Vadrillion's Story
Elante Vadrillion took the wine with a nod of thanks, before turning to the man who had addressed him - Assa's companion as it turned out. He inclined his head politely "Good afternoon, Assa, -I don't believe I have met you, sir...?"
Elante Vadrillion "A pleasure, Sir Redway. I am Elante, Elante Vadrillion - a Celestian Mage, if that means anything to you."
Elante Vadrillion raised an eyebrow "I can't say I do, I would hope I have not offended her at all - if I have in some way I am surely sorry. Perhaps it would be easier if she would answer us both that question herself?"
Elante Vadrillion sipped at his wine, before sighing "Well. Dwelling on such things will only create more awkward tension - though mind, I would pay good money to be in the audience when you next meet Aeryn. He was most distraught with embarrassment."
Elante Vadrillion raised an eyebrow, wondering if Assa had adopted the idea of 'I can't see you, you can't hear me'.
Elante Vadrillion chuckled "I cannot see a reason as to why not. What is this thing of which you speak, though? Which Sir Redway is so eager to assert is voluntary?"
Elante Vadrillion folded his arms, but nodded "Very well. Though I cannot give my word to not interfere if I do not know precisely what you refer to."
Elante Vadrillion also stood, and followed Assa and Redway. He was morbidly curious as to what exactly he was walking into, and absent mindedly ran over a few defensive spells in his mind.
The setting changes from Gambit's Bar to Side Alley
Elante Vadrillion wrinkled his nose at the stench of the alleyway "Do they never bother to clean here?" he questioned, glancing at a conspicuous bundle of rags at the end of the alley "And is that a corpse?"
Elante Vadrillion raised an eyebrow, he did of course know of such arrangements - a friend or companion of a blood drinker partnering with it to provide for their needs and preventing them getting in trouble with law enforcement and the like - but it was still a surprise. "I see, I believe I understand. I will not interfere so long as Assa is a willing participant."
Elante Vadrillion leant back on one foot and met Assa's gaze, raising a quizzical eyebrow as if to ask 'This is truly what you want?'. Of course, it was a subtle gesture, and one would be forgiven for not getting its meaning.
Elante Vadrillion folded his arms, uncomfortable with the proceedings but bound by his word unless Assa had a change of heart. She didn't exactly seem certain, but that was not enough to go on by any means.
Elante Vadrillion nodded "I believe I have heard the name. I do not know the man personally, however." he said curtly.
Elante Vadrillion nodded "He mentioned to me. I think that we were told by a woman sharing in ah... that conversation we had... that we might wish to... inconvenience him."
Elante Vadrillion raised an eyebrow "Well. That was unexpected." he said simply, before shrugging. "I believe I was leaving regardless." he added, before vanishing in a flash of light.
The setting changes from Side Alley to Gambit's Bar
Elante Vadrillion appeared in the corner in a flash of golden light. "Good evening, my friends!" he exclaimed, smiling brightly.
