A young knight. Headstrong. Deadly. Lost.

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Moonscar

Description

Art does not belong to me.

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Ethnicity: Madevan

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 170 lbs

Appearance: Enda is a tall, strongly built young woman. Though she's as packed as most of the male knights she served with, one can still see the semblance of an attractive, and perhaps, at one time, delicate lady. She has a set of bright olive eyes and deep tanned skin, carrying a myriad of scars from previous battles and a difficult time as a squire.

Enda's apparel usually consists of dark, regal armors, to softer, lighter leather armors.

Equipment:

  • A large, claymore-esque sword given to her after graduating from squire to knight. The sword has a very clear, sharp blade that is made from an ore by the name of neelamite that is found only in the Madevan mines. It has the ability to draw in energy and release it at the wielder's will. This includes various spirits, wraith, and elementals. Enda has named it Devoro.

The following spirits she keeps stored are as follows:

-Anka, flame elemental of Darien, the desert land of Sozo, Enda's homeland. The flame that Anka unleashes can be manipulated in many diverse ways.

-Bahuta, multiple small wraith that make up one being. They come in the form of small white wisps, and though they are useless on their own, they are incredibly powerful in great numbers. Enough of them in one area can bare down an impressive weight upon a target or area. They can also suffocate or run over an enemy. They can be used to shield the user, as well.

So begins...

The lady knight stood her ground, never flinching, nor showing any signs of fear. As much as she didn't like the situation, she was not afraid for her life. No, she'd fulfilled many of the duties that she'd meant to in life.
Not that she wanted to die, of course. Or be tortured, but still. She wasn't afraid.
Her back was straight, her shoulders rolled back, and her eyes focused on the Empress like a snake on a venemous meal.
Concentrated, wary.
"Rich in resources? Hmm." Enda thought about what answer she wanted to give. Which answer she should give. "I suppose you could say that. Depending on what resources you are speaking of."

I knelt, that should have been good enough, thought Enda, and it probably showed on her face, though she would never voice it out loud.
No, that would get her in a bit of trouble. "A thousand worlds, eh. Rather impressive."
Int truth, Enda had already guessed that this woman was pretty powerful. It barely surprised her that the woman had a thousand worlds, however it did up the scale. "I'm not sure about the ore. Where we come from, it's not the same as...ah, earth, maybe."

Enda Klee narrowed her eyes even more, till they were mere slits. She knew this was coming. Why else would she have asked about her world, if not to want to explore it sometime?
She watched as the Prime Minister walked over, and her gaze lifted to stare at her, instead.
What interesting wear they had here.

Hmph. Pressure didn't describe it.
"Edar," Stated the knight simply. It was a fairly common Madevan name. And it was easier to remember, since it was close to her own. She messed up less for this.
Outer rum world? They certainly were...working on getting those resources, it seemed. She looked between all three women. They looked like...the Mordoon, almost. Just not nearly as ugly.

'This being' he said. She wasn't a person here. She was a subject...a messenger.
A hope?
Maybe. But she certainly wasn't a respected hope. Just a desperate reach. And the Empress just said she wanted her world.
She wanted it, as if it were a toy. A possession. Enda looked down and spotted a bit of rust on her armor.
Rust.
Hmm.
"What is it you want to do with...me, exactly?"

Ah. That wasn't so great.
Sure, she had the special bodice that bound her, but she didn't want anything to happen to her armor.
She especially didn't want anything to happen to her sword. The swordsmaster of Janami gave that to her. It was very expensive. Not only that, but would they have cameras around? She knew they would. There wasn't any salvation even in one's room, anymore.
"What is so wrong with my armor? Surely, if I can just go back to my room, just have time to make a rune..."

Enda Klee let out an impatient, low growl as she staggered toward the door, glancing back at Motoko for just a second.
The look asked her to keep her secret. Not that she expected her to, however. No, Enda didn't think she would at all, but it didn't hurt to hope.
She shot a look at her Imperial Majesty. "Something very personal, miss. It's embarrassing to say."
Was that mockery in her voice? No. Genuine embarrassment. She wasn't always thrilled with bring female, and in times like this it was worse.

Bomb?
A medieval knight with a bomb?
Really? Really, now.
"I don't have any bomb under this, miss." Enda said defensively. Well, looked like she had to give it up. She supposed it didn't matter. Not here, anyway. She was so much under their mercy that she didn't have any choice.
"And just so you know...you wouldn't be able to bomb Madeva without the address."
Enda took hold of her sword and placed it and the scabbard on the floor gently. She then held onto her breastplate and unlatched it.
It fell to the floor with a clang. She did the same with her leggings. Now, Enda wasn't standing in front of Takayama Yukiko naked, oh, no. She was wearing the carefully tailored corset and shorts, though through all this it was very obvious she was female.
"May I change now, Your Highness?" Enda said, dropping the boy voice and crossing her arms.

Enda Klee gave Yukiko a long look before taking the clothes with a low growl and walking, with a slight edge to her step, toward Motoko. She didn't even fear for her armor and sword now. She was slightly miffed.
"I know all too well how royalty work. They can be stubborn and hardheaded, but what can we do about it? Really?" She shook her head and sighed.
"If you don't, the locals might. She thinks she can control Madeva, but that is a country that harbors two warring kingdoms, and one country within a huge continent that will be curious about it's new affiliates."

"Hopefully." Replied Enda, come out with some strange new garb on. Whatever it was. She still looked fairly male, for she hadn't removed the corset. She wasn't getting rid of that.
"I don't think you'll even be able to bring in weapons. As soon as I stepped into Niihama I think my armor started to rust. Maybe that gives you a hint."
Enda looked at Motoko. She was the only even partially reasonable one here.
"We are not primitive. That much you'll see."

"The air. The air here conflicted with the ore from my world. I don't know what it will do when you come to Arifane."
As they stopped, she briefly gave a bow to the Empress and pursed her lips.
"You have to give me a little while to draw a rune. Anyone have chalk? Or a marker? Something I can mark the floor with?"
She looked from one person to another. "It won't take any longer than it takes for your Empress to get dressed, I assure you."

Enda Klee veered at Seno, raising her eyebrow.
They wanted the address. Yes, they could have it.
Could they activate the rune without witch-knight magic? Probably not. Well, maybe. You never knew. Enda sighed again and took the pen, but refused the paper.
"I said floor, sir. We cant step through a sheet of paper."
She then planted the pen on the ground, and started to draw a large circle with a radius of four feet.It didn't matter how well the pen would have written usually. She encouraged it to write thick lines, so it did.
She then drew many intricate shapes within the circle, and finally, in the center, in latin: Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas.
"Greed is the root of all evil." Whispered Enda. The address to Arifane's doors. She took her hand, now glowing with the golden strings of magic, and drew a circle in the air above the rune. It was six feet tall and four feet wide, the edges glowing with the same gold as the magic upon her hand.
"You ready?" Enda asked them. "Oh, but we must wait for the Empress, yes?"
She didn't care that she ruined the floor with ink.

"Alright. Lets go. Stay close to me and try not to wander off." She said, as if speaking to children. There was too much in the kingdom Arifane to mess around with. She eyed Motoko's assault weapons, but didn't say a world.
As they went through, a magnificent scene befell them.

The city wasn't made of stone and tinder, as most medieval places were. Oh, no. This was medieval only because of the commonpeople.
Large, spiral buildings befell them, flat platforms hovering midair, a street made of marble meeting their feet. Large flying creatures flew from one platform to another.
Lanterns also hovered in the air, and would follow the odd person here and there, jangling as they hobbled up and down.
And most of the people weren't human. Some had blue skin, some horns, others hooves. They bore wonderfully rich, colorful gowns and suits, and gems covered buildings like jewelry on a duchess.
"Welcome to Arifane, kingdom of magic."
No one stopped to look at the entering people.

"It's clean because we don't have a reason to pollute the air like you all." Enda stated, kicking off her shoes to feel the cool of the familiar marble.
She grew up on these streets.
Stalls lined both sides of th marble street as they walked, and a woman with no eyes and black as pitch skin walked by, 'glancing' at the Empress with no particular interest.
A Thunderer walked past them, as well, and they all had to step to the side because of it. It was a large, four-footed beast that looked like a dragon crossed with an elephant with five eyes instead of two. The ground shook as it passed by.
Enda looked at the weapons that Motoko carried.
Was that rust she saw?

"Possibly. No one ever tried to bring technology in here before, but I suspect it is the ore, not technology in itself."
She looked back at Motoko's arm. That was a problem, though the fact that the weapons were rusting made Enda smile inwardly. She made it look as if she were concerned, however.
"We can possibly put some Alacite in your form, stop the rust with magic, somehow."
Enda stopped walking, and in front of them lay the Arifanian palace, a large, spiraling building with lanterns hovering in patterns around the giant towers, all made of marble and Vorian, the type of rock they used to build things. Dorian was white.
Almost everything was white, and somewhat chilly on that summer day. Giant marble gates stood in front of them.
"I'll tell my King of your arrival."
Enda walked toward a guard, and he hastily yelled for the gates to be opened. They did so with a large boom.
"Lets go."

"Common materials on your world, not here. Our common materials composes of Vorian, magic, Dalacite, marble, and too many others to say. Even our metals are different. If you'd like to go back to Niihama, by all means...please say so. I can hand you things that might help, but I'm not sure how much you'll like them. Please tell me now."

Enda watched the fumes infiltrate Arifane's air, spreading about the city and creating a thin layer of smog.
She had to screw up her face and grimace. How disgusting, that man must rely on filth to help them live. The flying scaled and feathered beats stopped on their platforms, suddenly confused by the strange stench in the air.
Enda sighed once more. The King and Queen would not like this. They were going to ask questions, and Enda did not want to bother to explain. She turned heel and waited for her company to follow. When they decided to do so, they would walk through the gates and be met by a large gap between them and the doors to the castle.
Enda kept walking.
Up and over thin air she went, as sure as if she were walking on cement. Underneath them was the breathtaking scenery of the clear, sparkling river, fish-folk sitting on the rocks and singing their sweet lulls to visitors.
She did not wait for her company, even if they hesitated. "Come, come." She would say, until she reached the gate.
It was during this time that she raised a hand in the air, yelling something in Madevian. The word echoed down the river, and suddenly a gust of wind and leaves covered the lady knight. When it passed, Enda was garbed in silver armor, a blue cape flapping at her back.
She looked at Yukiko and smiled.
"Are you ready, your Imperial Majesty?"

The doors opened, a boom emanating throughout the whole kingdom, the sounds of clockwork hidden behind its roar. The doors themselves were white, decorated with an ore the same color as copper, twisted and pieced to make a most majestic design: a bird emerging from the sun, symbolizing power and grace.
The lady Knight did not like the goo creature. Not one bit. It smelled of unhealth, and looked like it, too. With a slight tilt to her head, she signaled a rider to keep an eye on it.
A very close eye on it.
When they entered the castle, several lanterns dislodging from the wall and surrounding the group, Enda turned and asked them to leave their weapons in the waiting room.
"It is rude to show weapons in front of royalty unless it is a decoration."
