Alisia was staring at the ground deep in though. A worried and also frightened expression would be seen. What was going to happen? Would this nonsense be resolved or would it continue in a forever lasting war? Alisia didn't want to think too much into it, it would only worry her more, she didn't need any more years added to her looks. Well, at least that's what she though.

The female snapped out of her daydream and looked up once again at Gerard. "Damn straight it escalated. Last time I go to a night club." She attempted to make the situation less serious by joking around in a sort of subtle way. "Yup, that's right I'm surprised you remembered after all that...." Her voice trailed off as she watched the Agent frantically pat himself down. A grin formed on her face and she couldn't help but snicker softly. "Got everything hm?"

Gerard laughed at the night club comment, then looked at her with a slightly sheepish smile. He did look ridiculous!

"Yeah, I mean," He straightened his shirt, "When you're an officer of the law, y'know," He fished out his badge and casually let the holo glow. There was a precarious smile on his face as he pocketed the thing. "So where do you think this cruise is going?"

Best to pretend they were on vacation.

Her laughing slowed into a soft, warm smile as she studied the badge rather intrigued. She nodded to show she understood what he was talking about. His comment on their 'cruise' made her think for a moment, before replying "hm, not sure. Fiji?" She joked before shaking her head, forcing herself to actually reply seriously. "In all honesty, I have no clue. Surviving is all that's been on my mind since I heard gun fire. Maybe when we figure out what the hell is going on..." She trailed off for a moment, remembering the scenes at the club. "I mean, I would like to help stop this insanity, but I can't do that when I'm left here in the dark. Do you have any idea what might be going on?" Alisia asked, a look of desperate knowing in her eyes. She had always been the curious type since she was a kid. Most of the time it only got her into trouble though.

He recognized the look, desperation. Gerard was feeling it himself deep down inside, but was trying with all of his might not to show it. It wasn't that weakness was bad or anything, it was just not what men of his posture wore on their sleeve.

"Nooo clue," Gerard looked out the window again as the planet began to grow smaller behind them. "Hell, last thing I remember is- wait!" He grabbed at his phone from where it was hiding, suddenly remembering the last message it had received. The message he hadn't even looked at yet.

"I got a message, ahhh..." He opened it, and skimmed it before his eyes lit up, then faded. His face muddled, and he passed the phone to Alisia. It was a terrorist warning.

Alisia's face lit up as a slight feeling of suspense filled her. "What? What is it?!" She exclaimed, studying his facial expressions as he pulled out his phone. As the phone was handed to her, he face filled with shock. A terrorist warning? What in the world. Why? Alisia was confused and demanded answers. It actually made her rather cross.
She looked back up at Gerard for a moment then back at the phone. "Why was this sent to you?" She questioned curiously. Although he seemed just as in the dark about everything as her, asking questions would be the only way to get answers.

"To be honest," Gerard shrugged, "I'm not entirely sure, aside from assuming that it's officer intel."

He frowned. Why had he been sent that, and only moments before all hell broke loose?

"There were riots...But this came, well, after," Gerard quickly retraced the events in his head. They had gone outside, and then they had gone inside, and then he got the warning, and then... His face slacked in wonder.

"Do you think the attack and the riots are related?" He shook his head dismissively, but the thought remained. But for it all to go down at once like that... He sunk onto a bunk and caught his head in his hands.

"Man, if I wasn't in that club..." He would have most likely been on duty, and dead.

Alisia starred at him, a worried expression on her face. So it was obvious and certain they both had no clue what was going on. Still standing for a moment, she watched him sit on a bunk, deep in thought and worried it seemed. "It is possible. But what were they fighting about? It doesn't feel like it should have happened to suddenly. I can't help but feel that there were riots before this that might also be related.." Alisia racked her brain around all the different thoughts and theories that filled her mind. Closing her eyes tightly, squinting, she cupped her face with her left hand.

Opening her eyes once more and adjusting herself, fixing her shirt and patting down her dusty pants from all the action in the club, she sat beside the Agent about half a meter away.Listening as his voice trailed off, she realised what he was about to say. If she hadn't decided to be different and go out for once, she too could have been dead. "We'll get through this." The female commented bluntly. She was determined now, and mad.

He looked up to meet her hard gaze, and returned it with one of his own.

"Damned straight," Gerard smiled, but couldn't get the message out from his head. The one on his phone. What was a large unmarked ship doing parked over Caprica City? Who could it possibly be? Not the Terrans, surely, impotent things they were.

"They said the Shadow abandoned everyone, at least that's what I got from the riots. Overheard a couple of people talking in the bunker about Langara being sold out. Can't be true though, right?" Ah, hell.

She softly smiled back at Gerard then began thinking once again. She was desperate to find out what was going on and why it was happening. Why was so much unnecessary fighting going on? Or was it necessary? It only confused her more the more she delved into it.

"The Shadow?" Alisia questioned, unsure what 'the Shadow' were. Then he mentioned Langara. "What?" A bit of shock filled her face. "No, can't be right. Definitely can't be right." Or at least she hoped it couldn't be right. "That's just. Too crazy."

"Divine shadow, yeah," Gerard shook his head, also refusing to believe they were sold out. At least, for now.

"Crazy, but..." He looked out the window, again. Man was space captivating. A lot of crazy had happened in the past what, day? Not even? Looking closer, he noticed the dark clouds ascending from Caprica City and frowned. They were leaving there, now. Where they were going, he had no clue, but he hoped it was safer than Caprica City. More than anything, he hoped they would get to the bottom of this.

"It's all very suspicious," Gerard's gaze hardened. "Riots, attack, this ship, the ship we're on," He gestured around. "It's all very..." He didn't want to say it: coordinated. A shiver ran up his spine.

She wasn't used to things like this happening. It was all very... "scary" she blurted out her thoughts by accident which startled her a bit. Oops. "I mean, this whole thing. It's rather. Frightening." Alisia was a tough woman compared to most females. She grew up that way. Her father overprotective as a child. Everything she was taught though did come in handy a lot. Now that the world was falling to violence, she was glad her father brought her up that way.
Her head tilted to watch the male gaze out the window once more. As he spoke, different theories entered her mind and she didn't like it. It most certainly did seem, planned in an odd way. "Oh god." The female muttered to herself, resting her elbows on her thighs then laying her face forward into her hands. She let out a long, deep breath and her right root began tapping against the floor. She felt fidgety and nervous all of a sudden as deep sick feeling overwhelmed her.

Gerard nodded. It was scary, no matter how you sliced it. They were under attack by an unknown enemy, their fellow citizens had given up hope (from what he last heard), and whisked away from their home planet in the name of survival. Talk about a nightmare.

"You alright?" He stood, restless as well in the cabin that just kept growing smaller and smaller. Gerard put a hand on her shoulder, looking around for something. He spotted a door that looked like it might belong to a cooler. Moving away from Alisia he fumbled with it. Rapping it once hard caused the thing to open, Thank Gods. Inside there were boxes of water and human foodstuffs. He grabbed two waters and returned to Alisia.

"We should probably find whoever's in charge around here," A water was placed at her side. He didn't want to disrupt her, in case she had to hurl. He picked up the phone and glared at the image. "Start gettin' to the bottom of this."

Alisia gave a weak nod "yeah, just, feel sick." She replied feebly. All the events and scenes from all the drama kept replaying in her head. Everyone panicking, her heart racing as she tried to flee the building. The explosion and the screaming. It made her feel uptight.
In the corner of her eye she noticed the water Gerard placed at her side. Her face lit up, she was parched. Grasping the bottle and taking off the lid she began to drink the liquid faster than she should before forcing herself to stop in order to reply to the Agent. Letting out a sigh of relief. "Thanks." She gestured to the male. "Yes, good idea," Alisia stood up, bottle in her hand "we deserve some answers."

Gerard was sipping water himself when the ship's gravity shifted. Not so much to topple or jostle, but enough for them to realize they were changing positions.

"What?" He went to the window, as Langara began to grow larger below them. Caprica was out of sight. Gerard emptied the water and looked to Alisia.

"Looks like we're landing. Answers," Half smiling, he settled in next to Alisia.

Alisia flinched slightly from the unexpected shift in gravity within the ship. Her eyes darted to the Agent who was at the window, then relaxed when he gave the news that they were landing.

"Awesome." Alisia replied, watching as he seated himself beside her. She returned the smile, then continued drinking her water again, staring rather contently out the window from where she sat. Just, gazing out into space seemed to calm her for some reason. "Yes, I think it's about time we got some."

High above Luminere, a Tech Con transport of some variety descended. Inside were survivors recovered from a bunker in Caprica City. Inside, a Caprica City officer finished securing the cabin he was sharing with another for landing. He grabbed a box of water from a cooler in the wall and locked it, buckling into a wall seat.

Kelby Heremosh couldn't believe she was here. The woman hadn't payed any attention to the ride, to be quite honest, and was shocked to see the opposite of destruction outside. Shock was beginning to set in. She recalled her friend, and the smell of charred bone wafted through her nose. There was no charred bone here. Buckled into her wall seat, Kelby sobbed once. She laid a hand to her face and wiped the tear.

#, as written by Nemo
The spacecraft descended slowly onto the landing pad, an uproarous crowd already mobbing around the docking port. Cameras flashed, people cheered and news stations from all over Langara readied their live feeds. This was the final transport. The safe return of this ship marked the successful end to Tech Con's rescue endeavors into the Langaran capital.

The ship landed. A Tech Con rep stood up and tried to shout instruction to the refugees, but the roar of the crowd made him all but impossible to hear. Something about "black buses" and "the Hagan mansion". No one could really tell.

The next thing they new, the refugees would be ushered out of the transport into a world of blinding lights and cheering citizens. They were the last survivors of one of the greatest Aschen cities ever built. In the eyes of the Aschen public, they were more then just refugees. They were heroes. Walking history books. Teary inspiration to the rest of the Confederation in a dark time. Maybe the poor survivors saw themselves in the same light.

Or maybe they just wanted to be left alone.

Tech Con mercenaries struggled as they pushed through the crowds, attempting to lead the group to what was presumably their ride towards a better place. A merciless onslaught of questions roared in the ears of Kelby, Braxton, Alisia and Gerard.

"...what was it like in the bunkers..."

"...ever without food or water..."

"...did anyone die once you were locked away..."

"...forced to kill your own refugees for the sake of..."

"...was in Caprica. Have you seen him? Have you seen my son..."

"...make action figures outa' ya'. Big things, I'm tellin' ya..."

It was a nuclear fallout of a different kind; the desperate social ambush of a society nearly deprived of hope and meaning.

As the spacecraft landed, she could hear muffled cheering coming from outside the ship. "What the..." Standing up and moving from the bunk she moved to the window, peering outside to see a swarm of people surrounding the port. Her eyes widened, she hadn't expected this or really thought much into it. She had been concentrating on figuring out what had really happened and why. This was crazy. Shifting, she turned to look at Gerard "well, the public obviously weren't kept in the dark huh?" And by that she meant the media didn't take long to let the public know what happened. Or what they thought what happened. Who knows what the people were being told, she just wanted to get off the ship and onto safe ground of sorts.

As they were lead through the crowds by the Mercenaries, all sorts of questions were blurted and yelled into her ears. Alisia cringed as she continued to desperately follow behind, not daring to take her eyes off the mercenaries. The female just wanted to get out of the roaring crowd. "N...No sorry, what? No. Uh, I don't know. Excuse me, sorry." Alisia continuously replied to the jumbled questions in attempts to stop them from coming, it only made it worse though, so she decided to be silent.

"Shit..." The word fell from Gerard's lips as he stared out at the mass of people. The bombing must have been global news, how long has it been anyway? Hours? It felt like days. He was exhausted. Looking to Alisia, she was too. He scratched his head and discarded the milk box. Then, Gerard took a deep breath. It wasn't long before they were being lead through the ship, he walked silently and in formation with the others. The light of day flashed ahead, screams of people outside a dull roar throbbing at the edge of his hearing range. Gerard looked to Alisia, then let himself be ushered outside.

Augh, It was practically blinding. Braxton stepped from the ship, shielding his eyes from the natural light and flashbulbs alike. The crowd surged as they stepped from the shuttles and onto ground. His hand stayed glued to his face, jaw set tight. I'm not a war hero. Half way to the black busses, Braxton could have sworn he saw a familiar head bobbling up ahead. Dark hair, frizzed out of control, but was that? Oh my fucking...His heart dropped.

"Kelby!" Braxton shouted, pushing through the crowds, "Kelby?! HEY!" A few spectators took notice as he pursued the woman who could barely hear him. They pointed him out to eachother."Heeeey! KELBY!" Now even more had taken notice. A couple shouted along with him. Soon Kelby's name echoed through a small portion of the crowd, pulsing from Braxton as he shoved to Kelby as she let herself be shoved.

Gerard kept his head low, able to offer a pained smile here or there but not much else in terms of expression. A few reporters called out to him, looking for information. With a hand raised he gave them no comment. The Caprica City officer also received and returned more than one salute from fellow officers who had come to see if any of their own had made it.

There goes Braxton, Gerard noted to himself as he spotted the crowd giving way. There seemed to be a small commotion surrounding his friend. To his other side, he could hear Alisia responding to some question or another. Gathering Braxton could handle it, he turned to Alisia.

"Alright?"

Alisia quickly looked back to see if Gerard was still with her, and got a glimpse of the male and continued to follow those in front of her. The questions were overwhelming and they began to irritate her. Why so much praise and commotion over something like this? She thought. She hadn't done anything good to have this much damn attention. The female began to feel claustrophobic as the swarms of people were trying to swarm in further to stop her from trying to escape their questioning.

Alisia faintly heard the Agent behind her ask if she was alright. Slowing down her pace a bit, she grew closer to him, but it was impossible to walk next to him without having to push the people away. "N-No! This is insane!" She replied to him, her voice booming over the loud crowd of people. She desperately wanted to grab onto something so she knew she could definitely escape the people and not lose her way through them.
Noticing the buses up ahead a sigh of relief was released and her heavy breathing calmed.
