A lone mercenary woman of conduct, fleeing the king's grasp.
Partly due to her recent past, she has a very cold demeanor, often keeping to herself and preferring to be to alone. Because of her situation, she refuses to let herself grow an emotional attachment to anyone. Truthfully, she is very lonely, though she refuses to let herself cry, thinking its a sign of weakness.
Ginger takes her work very seriously, and will not stop until she succeeds. There are, however, some jobs that she refuses to take due to the sense morality she was raised to uphold. She feels she has no honor left, but that that does not ever excuse poor conduct.
Ginger's weapons of choice includes an ebony bow (with arrows, of course), and a short double-edge sword. She also wears leather armor for light protection.
Ginger grew up with her mother in the lands of a certain kingdom. It didn't take long for her amazing skill with the bow to become noticed. She was taken from her home at the age of thirteen to be trained to be the kingdom's first female knight, and her skills soon surpassed that of even the best of the kingdom's archers.
One day, a great monster had kidnapped the king's son, and Ginger and a few mercenaries were sent on a rescue mission. If Ginger would be successful, she could be rewarded great riches and eternal fame. That was when Ginger made an unforgivable error in judgment.
Ginger nearly defeated the beast with a surprise attack, however the monster quickly retreated into a cave. Ginger's team surrounded the entrance and prevented the creature from escaping. Spotting something moving out from the darkness, Ginger quickly aimed and fired. In doing so, she succeeded not in piercing the heart of the monster, but in piercing the heart of the prince himself.
Knowing that her punishment would be severe should she return, she decided to run away and never turn back. For two years now she's been running, seeking mercenary work to make her living, never staying in the same place for more than a week. She knows that the king would never stop pursuing her, and so she can never settle anywhere.
