Grozporin's Story

Dangit, she let her mind wander again. As her masters blade came towards her she brought her arm up. The kyber woven outfit she wore briefly caught the blade, But the force of the strike and also the sheer palmful of energy Pushed her back, now she was down an arm as the strike from the dsaber, at the moment were set to stun, or training mode. Her left arm numb she quickly shifted to her right hand, using her replacement saber to defend, Without thinking it she used the Force, a rock flicked up towards her Master before she herself jumped back at him.

Her defenses were up, But he still found holes. But his defenses were up as well, until she got too close. That was the upside to having a staff weapon, longer reach. the numbness wore off.

Right as her Master swung at her she turned her own weapon off, hooking it to her belt she reached up with both hands. But she had to time it right, or it was bed time. Stun setting on a lightsaber was infact strong enough to knock out a person entirely. She was not exactly a Wookiee herself, but she was born on their world, grew up with them, grow strong with them. But she was not as strong as a Wookiee. She made up for it in sheer force abilites. Which might be a bit raw around the edges as evidenced by one of the two starfighters seemingly watching them.

Grozporin watched as he landed a hit but continued his assault as he rushed his apprentice. She was indeed lacking focus and it was all to apparent as the wookie continued his assault. It was only when she rebounded and reached out for his saber did the Master fall to surprise by the student. Gem had deactivated the saber and used Grozporin's own momentum against him to toss him up and over. With a mighty roar her master landed upon his feet and slide a foot back.

It worked, she couldnt believe it. She had dreamed of doing just that same move, but never did it work even in her dreams. But somehow, it worked! As her master hit the ground and slid back a foot Gem twirled to her feet, lightsaber activating with a spangvrrrrm noise and she struck, fast.

Linking her right hand saber to her hand, the missing finger connection locking the saber to her hand she quickly withdrew her left saber, blocked a strike, then parried another. Her strength was growing. But her focus was growing, albiet on a much slower speed as she sparred with her Master.

Unknown t othem both, or even their fighters, a single probe Droid doing survey work floated into view. A simple droid with a stunt blaster to prevent unwanted predators from getting to close. It made a warbling noise as it floated in the air, taking in the scenery and mapping its route before halting, confused. It warbled something. One of the two A-Wings parked nearby turned towards the droid. A strange growling noise from the starfighter.

It was the sound of Ghost growl that caused Gem's focus to falter entirely as she barely sidestepped her Masters next strike.

The old wookie slowly rose from the ground after the tumble only to stand his ground with Gem. She was indeed skilled, or rather lucky, and through her time training she had also grown strong.

"You need to focus. Trying something new in a real battle can be deadly with little chance of success against a stronger more experienced foe."

Grozporin growled albeit she did indeed catch him off guard and it was rather impressive. Instead her master simply reached for his saber and with the Force commanded it to fly to his grasp in which he would ignite the blade once more.

"Now, again."
