Personality

Quiet, and reserved when he's not in combat... but when he is, he knows that beating an enemy in the mind is the first step to beating him on the battlefield, and will use anything he can to mess with, or torment his target(s).
Tries not to be in the middle of a room, or a crowd, and prefers places that are colder than what somebody else might find comfortable.

Equipment

The vest he wears is custom made, as is his jacket.
The jacket is fire resistant, the vest lined and plated in such a way that it can stop a 50 caliber round at almost point blank.
Beneath his jacket, under each arm, are a pair of USP 45 pistols, loaded.
Behind his back, clipped to his belt, is another pair of USP 45s, also loaded.
The inside pockets of his jackets, be it there are 3 on either side, or filled with a few different types of ammo, and tends to carry what he thinks he'll need for whatever engagement he's going in to.
From silver to steel, cast-iron, pointed, hollow-tip, incendiary, and even rounds filled with nitro glycerin.
Steel toed boots, with a single Army Trench-knife in his right boot.

Then, there is the tech that was built in to his body...

He was designed, and bred to be perfect.
Even when he was born, you couldn't make a human in a test-tube.
The human genome was modified to put in more desirable traits for his 'line of work', while others, such as hair color, were removed.

Made with 19 other children, he was designed and made to be the one that 'felt', his designers thinking that a soldier that could feel, could make on-the-fly decisions in combat that could top the scales in their favor.

His bones are made of a hollow, light-weight, yet durable metal that's name isn't known to the general public, or even to him.
A set of electrically powered nano-machines in his blood allow him to heal -much- faster than a human.
So quickly, in fact, that a paper-cut is healed by the next day, leaving a silvered over scar.

Training and conditioning makes him stronger, faster, and smarter than normal.

During his time with us, he was a very well talented, skilled, head-strong, courageous man that either had a death-wish, or was built for combat.
Always offering to help whoever needed it, showing his kind side.
His fighting side was unbelievable, namely his talents in both Close-Quarters Combat, and with any fire-arm we gave him.
His intelligence far surpassed our expectations, and we thank him for his continuing service to his country.
His technical skills could use some brushing up, but beyond that, he could do just about any job he put his mind and heart to.
He has expressed a want to never raise in rank, and would remain a lackey as long as, as he says, "It stays fun."

We cannot disclose how he acquired 90% of these medals to the general public... and tho he denied ever being worthy of these commendations, we put them on his record, knowing he has met the criteria for each and every one, and has done so with a zeal for life we don't see in many of our men these days.

It should be noted, that while hard to believe, he was a soldier to the core of his being, and has earned each and every one of these in accordance with military code.

((OOC :: Call it OP, or an over-achiever, but the Army was his LIFE while he was in it, and it didn't take him long to get these, considering what he was being asked to do... if you want to know, ASK for the love of god...
I don't want people thinking I'm grabbing for god-mode... no... I've been playing 'John' for a little over 5 years.
An old character deserves a long history.
RPly, he's been the receiver of the short stick plenty, and I want -some- good to come from it.

He's not a god, and can be killed rather easily.
He may be good at what he does, but considering that he was designed as a weapon of war, it's to be expected.
