Kana

A were-tiger with very topsy-turvy moods that can change on a dime. She's usually bubbly and cheerful, however, disliking being unhappy.

Kana tried desperately to contain her laugh for a moment as she regarded the man before bursting into a complete giggle fit. After a few moments, she finally contained herself as she looked up. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to laugh. As far as the tiger's concerned, I know her quite well," she said, an ironic smile crossing her features briefly, "And I'm sure she would have caused you no harm. She was probably just playing with you." She chuckled softly as she sat down on the ground near him.

Kana smiles at the man as she takes the seat. "Well, I guess you could say I have a very long history with her," she said, looking up at the sky in an attempt to keep herself under control. She always felt a little guilty not telling others about her, but when she did, it always seemed to cause trouble. Plus, the man was still and unknown. She liked him, but if how the air felt earlier was any clue, he wasn't normal. "So I never did get your name. I'm Kana."

Kana grins as he apologizes. "Well, it's hardly normal to meet a random person on a path and just start introducing yourself with no reserve, so I hardly blame you." Then the other part of his comment caught up to her, causing her to narrow her eyes and look him over with interest. "You don't look old and you definitely don't smell old." She said before turning her comment over in her head. "Huh, that sounded strange..." she said, half to herself.

Kana reached up to rub the back of her neck, smiling at him nervously. "I guess it's a talent of mine. Enhanced sense of smell. I'm pretty agile too, I guess. Never tested it much since I usually try to keep myself in check around people." She furrowed her brows as she thought over her words. Oh, screw it. If he picked up on it, she'd just tell him. It was a pain in the butt to tip toe around the topic anyways.

Kana nodded. "Yes, you definitely look like a people," she giggled before sighing as she curled her legs up underneath herself. "No, I do not consider myself people because people generally don't consider me one of them due to the rather large tail I sport the majority of the time," she said honestly, looking up at the man as she waited for a response. She'd told less than five people in her lifetime what she was, not counting others of her kind, and only two had ever figured it out. Once it had worked out. Sort of.

Kana wrinkles her nose in distaste before nodded, hoping that was enough answer to his first question. "I hate magic. Makes every smell funny. And taste funny. Not mention makes my hair stand on end." She shivered thinking about it. "Had a magic caster friend once. Couldn't stand to be around him for even the tiniest spells. Maybe it's an animal thing or maybe it's a magical animal thing. Don't care. I just know I don't like it," she said, finally relaxing her nose before looking up at Gravis. "Oh! I'm sorry if that was insulting or offensive. I'm just not very partial." She gave him a smile. She'd known some pretty testy people and even if she couldn't find anything offensive in her little rant, she was sure someone could. She just hoped Gravis wasn't one of them.

Kana feels the hair on the back of her neck stand up. "Ah... Yea, I believe necromancer is a title one would wholly want to avoid to being paried with." Trying to dispel the tenseness between her shoulders she always got while uncomfortable or nervous, she grasped her hands in front of her and arched back before flopping over sideways onto the log. "I guess I'm lucky to have avoided titles almost altogether. Though a rather surprised woman who found me mid-change was rather startled and ran away calling monster, but I don't really count that one," she admitted with a wry grin.

Kana smiled as she looked up at the man. "It's in my blood. Mother was. Her mother was. Her mother's mother was, etc. I'm not sure how fathers mix into all of this. They might have been the same as well, I'm not sure. Don't remember anyone besides my mother and her barely. Haven't seen her in..." she trailed off as she tried to recall the exact year before shaking her head. "A hundred years and then some, at least. My memory's failing me. I don't think about her much," she said, flashing Gravis a smile. "I'm not bitter or sad or anything most I tell that to expect me to be. It's normal. Part of our ways, I guess." She then furrows her brows and tilts her head to the side. "Though, I'm not sure if my mother told me that or if I just know." She shrugs before looking back at the man.

Kana squeaks softly and sits up. "Please, sit." She smiled up at him. "So, what's it like to have siblings? And what happened to your third brother?" she asked, tucking her feet back under her. She was rather curious about siblings as she'd never had any. At least, not that she knew of. And she was also rather curious about his self correction.

Kana stared at Gravis for a moment, unsure as to what she should say or do. Normally she'd just hug him, but she wasn't entirely sure as to how he'd react. Instead, she gave him a sad smile. "I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know what happened, but it doesn't seem to have been a good experience, though I'm not sure how something like that ever could be."

Kana giggles softly and nods. "I was going to play around a bit and then just change behind the tree but, ah..." she trailed off, turning a rather bright shade of red. "I couldn't find my clothes, hence the leaving and returning bit," she admitted, giving him a slightly awkward smile. "And it's not morbid. It's truth, history. Both of which could be considered morbid, and often are just out of an excuse to avoid the topics altogether."

Kana 's face resumes the previously bright red shade. "Ah, yea. Well, not particularly, but close enough. More like strange and awkward and large variety of similar words. Not to mention awkward situations and now I'm going to stop myself before I really started rambling." She stared down at her hands for a moment, trying to get her face to turn a normal color. "And I think everyone's guilty of forcing morbidity upon truth or history every once in a while. Most people I've met are, though it took me quite a while to come upon that conclusion. Being alone as often as I am gives you a lot of time to think."

Kana stops fidgeting with her hands and looks at Gravis with a smile. "Yea, it is. I forget that every once in a while." She looks around her and sighs. "It's easy to lose yourself after a point. I've disappeared into the trees for many a year before. Sometimes forget about the human side of me." A wry smile settles upon her face. "Well, human-ish." She giggles softly, her gaze returning to her lap.

Kana nods and looks over at Gravis. "So, this is my favorite place to be. Quiet. Occasional company. Why are you here?" she asks, genuinely curious as she turns towards him, twisting so she's straddling the log and can actually look at him rather than glancing at him awkwardly like an embarrassed school girl.

Kana smiles and nods. "Sounds gorgeous. And, plus, you're hardly someone I wouldn't want to see again," she admitted with a grin. And then, of course, she made a complete fool of herself. Trying to wiggle back on the log so she could lean forward without getting extremely close to his face, she succeeded in completely falling off the log and onto her behind, causing her to, yet again, turn a ridiculous shade of red. Grumbling to herself and not quite meeting Gravis she stayed there for a moment before getting up and dusting herself off.

Kana takes Gravis's hand and smiles. Her smile widens further as he continues talking. If her face hadn't already been bright red, it would probably have flared up yet again. She was beginning to lose count of how many times she'd blushed in the last hour alone. "I'm glad. For all of it," she admitted, laughing. "It's rare I meet anyone twice out here, let alone someone wanting to."

Kana stared as her mouth dropped. Today was apparently a day of firsts because she'd definitely never met someone who would do that, or even say that they would. She was completely dumbstruck as to how to respond and she cursed herself inwardly, knowing it would show completely on her face. She was absolutely thrilled, surprised, and many other things, but one thing she definitely was was happy; it showed as a slow smile crept onto her face.

Kana darts a hand out to grasp his forearm gently. "No, no, no. You didn't offend me, I just... I was just surprised. No one's ever..." she trailed off, not quite able to find the right words and hoping he understood. "It made me happy," she stated simply, beaming at him.

Kana felt a rush of adrenaline course through her. "I'm afraid I'm out of touch as well. If I wasn't maybe I would have responded accordingly and not panicked you like I did. I am very sorry for that," she said, giving him a softer smile. "No one has said anything like that in years, let alone touch me at all. Actually, now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time anyone's ever said something so sweet."

Kana heads over to her previous seat, turning over her hand to grasp his her she does, keeping her head down slightly to hide the fool's grin that had plastered itself upon her face.
