Personality

He's very calm and friendly, though a bit old-fashioned because of his age. His mission is to help those in need because he wasn't able to help his own town. He speaks in a smooth voice and when he smiles, it reaches his eyes. He's an honest man, but knows when he needs to lie in order to stay safe. He is all too aware of the Ungifted's hatred towards Magicians and holds slight anymosity towards them. He tries his best not to dislike all of them, though, and assists Ungifted ones during his travels as well as other Magicians.

Equipment

His staff allows him to draw power and energy from outside sources. Though he can't draw off another person or Magician, he draws from the world. He can do almost anything, but the more power and energy he uses, the faster he drains.

History

When he was a teenager, there was a small part of Europe that was hidden from the rest where Magicians resided. That small group banded together, creating a town where magic was accepted and taught. Kane was hired as the apprentice to a powerful Magician at age thirteen because his parents discovered he had no innate abilities. In that town, to be one of the Ungifted was looked down upon, so his parents asked the old Sorcerer (almost a Wise Man if you will) to teach their son. He did so, but when Kane was seventeen, he messed around with an immortality spell. It backfired and didn't give him immortality, but it did effect his aging process. From then on, with no obvious counterspell because he wasn't experienced enough to know what he did wrong, he aged incredibly slowly. He had to watch everyone he loved die, including the wife he took, Kristin. Nearly a hundred years after the potion, the Ungifted discovered the town, catching the Magicians by surprise. They destroyed it, like they always do when they don't understand something. From then on, Kane traveled, trying to help those in need of assistance. He wasn't able to save his town, now destroyed for nearly two hundred years, but he wants to help others.
