Description
Lawless is six feet tall, his horns curving back adding another few inches to his height. His hair is dark blue and falls down around the small of his back. Clear silver eyes which glimmer slightly but do not reflect make some believe him to be blind when he can see quite well. Small bone spikes line the underside of his jawbone. His uncharacteristic appearance makes it quite difficult to judge his age, but he appears, at best guess, to be in his mid twenties.

Personality
Darkly sarcastic with a scathing wit Lawless grins at the prospect of trouble. He believe it is every creature's right to take what they want if they can defend their right to take it. He is not an idiot though just grabbing what he wants, he is smart and cunning, leading people into traps before taking what he wants from them.
He also has a charming side, a charismatic speaker and incorrigible flirt he has a hard time resiting women, though few he has encountered can put up with his appearance asside from other Tiefling.
Equipment
A dagger on his right hip and a coiled spiked chain on his left. He keeps darts and small blades hidden on his person at all times. His belt has many pouches, magical and non that carry an assortment of things. Food, potions, lock picks, even rope with grappling hook as well as all the supplies he needs for laying traps. He also includes several poisons both debilitating and deadly.
History
Lawless was born into a rogue's life. His father was a human spy and cat burglar, his mother a tiefling singer and entertainer. An odd romance ensued to which Lawless was the result. He was born full tiefling as they always are to tiefling women. He was trained by his father how to fight, pick locks, and leave no trace when thieving. His mother taught him tiefling honor and educated him well.
Given his appearance he was too noticeable to be a spy or other confidence trickster like his father. He entertained for a while growing up, juggling and small slight of hand as well as picking pockets and cutting purses. He grew bored with his city a number of years ago and has been traveling ever since.
Lawless has recently made a familiar bond with a Grimalkin named Syn. Who has some minor empathic abilities and is a skilled shape shifter.
So begins...
Lawless's Story
Lawless cried out as he felt the scream, falling to a knee as the scream cuts through his mind. His hard silver eyes falling onto the form which landed on the ground in front of him. "AH! SO it was you that was doing that." He stood slowly, wincing and rubbing his forehead. "I probably deserved the headache." He stuck his tail back into the water and sighed as his heat was bled off into the water some.

"You shouldn't sneak up on people," he admonished her. He frowned at the spots where the water had scalded her slightly. "I hadn't realized it was that hot." He glances down at his tail and sees the water boiling a little around his tail. "My body builds heat to fend off infections. Almost no human diseases can maintain that sort of temperature. But I don't heal until my body cools down so I need to bleed off the heat." He shakes his head once more and turns back to Coralie. "I am Lawless. Why were you doing that?"

"Lawless if you please. It is not just a name, but a philosophy. I treature it. If you are to call me anything shorter Law is acceptable." He sighed softly and let his silver eyes travel over the creature ahead of him. "Your telepathy isn't very clear. Are you having some trouble?" He had never met a telepath who hadn't been quite an apt conversationalist.

"I see," he looked down at her and rubbed his head. "If you give me a moment I need to do something." He turned from her and knelt by the water. Plunging his tail deeper into the water and shoving his arms in up to the elbow. He concentrated and suddenly the water is frothing and boiling around his arms and tail as he purges as much of the heat as he can. When he stands he stumbles a little, grabbing onto a tree branch to steady himself. He smiles when it doesn't char or smolder under his fingers. His body is still warm but not a harmful hot any longer. He turned back to Coralie and holds out a hand. "Well it is nice to meet you Coralie."

"No, I won't hurt you," Lawless frowns. He sighed softly as he realized. "The heat is gone. I put it all into the water. I'm much cooler now. Still a little warm but nothing you should be afraid of." He knelt down by the water and dipped his hand into it. It didn't even steam. He held his hand out to her again. "I didn't mean to hurt or frighten you."

Lawless winces at the onslaught of images into his mind and then steps back, shocked. "No, I may not be a noble creature, but I would never do anything like that to anyone." He speaks strongly, an anger in his words directed at those who would harm someone without cause. He took a breath and sighed, looking at her, his anger being pushed away. "I don't like elves much. They tend to judge me based on how I look." He smiled and reaches up to run a hand over his long backswept horns and crimson skin. "Can't blame them, I am rather devilishly handsome." He chuckles and kneels down, more on eye level with Coralie. "Look into my mind. I won't hurt you unless you hurt me first." Looking into her molten mercury eyes with his solid silver ones.

"So long as you do no harm I shall not let any befall you." He smiles and stands, holding out a hand again to the creature in front of him. He didn't like seeing those without protection being hurt and this one had apparently been scared on many levels. This concerned him because he hadn't heard of that kind of torment even by elves.

let himself be pulled along by the small female. He heard the music after a little bit and nodded. "Yes, a flute I believe. I have no ability with music, though I do love a good tune." He smiled and looked around for whoever the player was.

"Oh, Ebony, it's you." He smiles at the flutist. "How is the prediction coming along?" He looks at Coralie wondering what his cards might reveal about this little one, but he won't and can't do a reading without being asked. He wonders briefly what else she may have picked up from his mind. Their contact hadn't been long and he protected the fortunes he told deep within his mind. Unable to hear Ebony's answer to her telepathic message as he is without that talent himself.

"Yes, you are a pixie," he chuckles and pulls a set of cards from his pocket. "I can make predictions for people with these cards." He shows them to her. A little larger than normal cards, each with a picture of a dragon on it, apparently hand painted. "Would you like me to make one for you?"

smiles and holds out the cards, shuffling them a few times with one hand before presenting them to her. "I need you to cut the cards three times. Make three piles of cards." He demonstrates for her so there is no misunderstanding and waits for her to complete it. Wondering what a fortune would say about this one. "Think about a question you may have if it helps you."

"Yes, very good." He smiles and picks up the top card from the first pile. "Black 2, an evil card, something bad has happened. But it was a small evil, but small things can become quite large." He takes the next card and draws a sharp breath. "Dracolitch," an evil looking card of a skeletal dragon with glowing eyes, a ten in the corner. "Corruption beyond control." He looks at her with sad eyes. "Loss of control, nothing to be done." His hand hesitates over the last card.

nodds and draws the last car. He turns it over and lets out a breath and a smile. "Bahamut," a noble platinum dragon with a thirteen emblazoned in the corner. "The most noble god of Good Dragons." He smiles at her. "A great good. His power can overcome even that of the Dracolitch. A symbol of rebirth and new pure beginnings."

"At first it was nothing really, just drawing cards and giving readings, telling people what the cards meant, but over time they became more as the predictions came true." He shrugged and looked at the small woman. "Teach you what? The cards? It isn't something that can just be taught. I can show you the card game, but the readings are something else."

"Oh!" He chuckles and reached out to help her up again. "You touched my mind before. Can you learn the words that way?" He didn't have much experience with telepathy or how it worked. "I'd love to help you learn words. There is a great pleasure to be had from what can be spoken."

Felt a twinge in his mind as she poked around for the words. "A most peculiar feeling." He rubs a temple and nods to her. "Try again, take as many words as you'd like. I've got many hundreds." In several languages, he thought to himself. "Might want to stick to one language at a time if you can."

"Peculiar," he corrected and nodded to her. "One word at a time, this could take a while." He frowned as he tried to think of how to help her speed up the process.

"Can you try and put the words together? Speak a sentence rather than one word at a time?" Rubbing his forehead, letting someone poke around his language centers was starting to give him a bit of a headache.

"She does learn quickly." He patted his belt and pulled out book from a pocket that was much much too small to carry it. "Maybe you'll learn faster if you read?" He hands her the book, a fairly complex book on Tiefling history. His people had a fairly long history that was passed down by generations.

"Hmm, that seems to be working." He looks around. "I'm afraid that I do have an important meeting tomorrow, one that I must attend to. I have to go rest before the morrow is upon us. May I have my book back?" He holds out a hand to the pixie.
