Luke is one of those soft-hearted, hot-tempered types. His personality varies, but only to accommodate those around him. He enjoys having a good time, and wants others to enjoy theirs as well. Being a bit hot-headed, it's not a good idea to anger him. He acts on his emotions, without stopping to think if they are good or bad. Luke is one of those guys who wants a woman in his life, but feels like it's impossible for him. Despite his good looks and sharp-shooting skills, it's tough for him to act gentlemanly around women. He wants to be, but the other guys always get to them first. So, he drinks in Gambit's to soothe the pain. Fun-loving, he always keeps his spirits up, though. Not much can get him down.
....
When Luke was 14 years old, his parents sent him away, knowing he'd be safer far from home. They heard tell that he and his sister, Vanya, were wanted, not un-like criminals. The siblings had perfect appearances, and healed quicker than normal humans. Half-vampires. Hating his heritage, Luke left.
At 18, Luke had learned every way there was to fight. Strong and calm-minded, he was a worthy adversary. Traveling alone across the land, he learned what it was like to be un-wanted and to survive without companionship. So, when he met a young woman, he was tentative. Cara was beautiful and a thinker, strong and independent. She could handle a gun, and Luke fell for her. Theirs was a long and loving relationship. When Luke was 20, Cara was murdered. Seeking revenge, and hunting down her killers, he ran into a secret service. Not run by the government, but rather one-man-owned. He joined up, hoping to find a way to ease his pain, and has been with them ever since.
Now 27, Luke's pain is gone, his hopes of finding someone gone. The shooter is skilled and un-afraid to kill if he must. Though he's been alone, he is still a gentleman. Or, he tries to be. Luke is living at the lake, in a tent with his horse currently, as there is no where else for him to go. The agency has stationed him in Wing City, and he keeps up a ruse of being relatively normal around the residents. Luke spends most of his time in Gambit's, drinking and meeting new people. He almost craves the company of the patrons, enjoying every waking moment with the new and different creatures/ humans.
