Munkus and Misto purchased a 40' long motorhome from Thor's Motorhomes company. The model is the Challenger series. This is used as Munkus' home away from home. For the moment. Unfortunatly {or is that thankfully ?}, Misto has the keys to this monster.

Munkus noticed it too, but what he noticed rather strongly however was the fact that his human companion was choking on his drink. "Amico, did you drink too much and tried to swallow too late ?" He asked, then he noticed Griddlebone. Her staff currently unseen, and yet her sword on her back seen clearly. I'm dead Munkus thought. But it was her question when she saw him that made him think it even more.

Griddlebone wasted no time in spotting her brother in law at table and making her way over ot him, rather imposing, thin as a reed, yet her long startlingly white fur shone brightly in the dim candle light. "Tantomile is here. Somewhere. I caught her scent, twice now." She barely cast a glance at her brother in laws human fellow at the table as she set her hands on the table top. For the moment both humans were ignored.

Yeah, I'm dead Munkus thought at the mention of Tantomile, "well I knew she was in town, this fellow had a run in with her not too long ago. Where she is now is anyone's guess." He sat back in his chaiir and asked "Why ?" He watched as Griddlebone glanced briefly at the human man, Lukas, that glance, ever so brief, took him in perfectly. Ever centimeter of his body.

Austin merely watched the spectacle with his arms crossed, clearly not at all amused to be taken off course. Here he'd been expecting a one-way ticket to Egypt with the promise of some delicious Jellicle booty at the end of the rainbow for him, only to be dragged into some god-forsaken bare in an unknown world. What were they even doing here?

"Just get what you need," the agent grumbled, "we don't have all the time in the world, y'know."

Griddlebone turned towards Austin, a growl deep in her throat. She glared at the man. She knew she had no time. But Wizards were above time. She had all the time in the world. As he said it, bur when the other human spoke she glared daggers at the large man. A hiss passed her lips as she looked at the man. She caught her sisters scent on him. Great.

Munkus spoke up before Gridd could speak, as she looked ready to either pounce or fry Lukas where he sat. "Be careful in what you say, it is not wise to anger a wizard, It is bad enough my mate is the younger sister of a wizard. This one." He said standing up. Speaking in Siamese, the langauge of the feline people he said to Gridd. "A moment." He then took her aside. Still in Siamese the two spoke. "Are you crazy ? Waltzing in here with a human trailing you like a trained Pollicle ?!"

"He has offered to help me in finding the Library under Zagazig. In hopes of a reward. I hope Domi will be up for it." Griddlebone replied

Munkus stared at his sister in law "Are you nuts ?! Giving a human to your cousins, let alone Domino is a very dumb idea! No telling what Domi will do to the guy." Munkus said. He knew of some of Dominos exploits as a dominatrix. Hence her name in some cases.

"What ?" Griddlebone asked, giving him a look, "Is there something wrong with making a deal I can modify as I require ? Did you forget who you are talking to ? I could have easily used the Apple to pursuade the human to aid me willingly without question. But instead I made an offer, an offer that he was unable to refuse. In return for helping me get to the Library Under Egypt, I let him play with Domi, he seemed to take to it well, which explains why he wants to keep moving. Apparently I may need to use the Apple. But Tantomile has it with her last I knew."

Munkus sighed and shook his head "Are you sure what you are doing is the right thing ? After all he is only human. Not Jellicle, or even Conquror. In fact by the look of him, he seems weak. Might not even last a day. Much less five minutes with your cousin."

Griddlebone snickered; "You always were a killjoy, Munku" She said, "Relax for once, I can do this, and the human goes with me. Now, about the human with you."

"Who ? Lukas ?" Munkus asked jerking a thumb at the large man seated at the table. "What about him ?"

"First chance you get, take the sword and ditch him." Griddlebone hissed. Munkus glanced towards Lukas and saw he was looking intently towards them. "He has not taken his eyes off me since I arrived. He bothers me. You need not know more then that. First chance you get, take the sword, then ditch him. Preferably on a ship in the middle of the Sea somewhere, or even in a City."

Munkus was not smiling, in fact his face was set in a grim line, he did not much like the idea of ditching a friend so soon after meeting one. "Very well. Last I saw Tantomile was the morning before Misto had the spell active. Unless the Master sent her after us, or for the other pieces. I do not know. But when I see her I'll send her your way. Where will you be ?"

"Egypt" Griddlebone replied, then she asked him "Are we done here ?"

Munkus shook his head, "No, we're just getting started." With that he turned and went back to the table, they were gone for a good ten minutes or so, to the men he said in english. "Sorry for keeping you waiting for so long, amici." He said, "But we had things to discuss that were quite important." He turned to Austin and said simply "Good luck." As he spoke Gridd opened another portal. And without a word she all but grabbed Austin by the collar and dragged him through to Egypt.

For a moment Munkus looked as if his vision had glazed over, finally blinking a moment or two he said simply "Sorry, you lost me at 'Stormreach' I'm not familar with many places in this.... place" He admitted, him a Jellicle Assassin, not knowing where he was. Just typical. Great fun too for that matter. Not that it fully mattered at least for the moment. As far as Munkus was concerned.

Finally he said "OK, so, my sister-in-law looks like your dead wife, other then being taller and a bit more endowed" Hey, he had Demeter and Tantomile for his Queens, Both ladies were built like cement trucks and both knew a very mean right hook too. "Oother then those two facts, how in the world does she resemble your exwife ?"

Munkus took the picture carefully in two claws and took a look, he whistled "Nice lookin' dish..... oh dear Great Cat if Deme or Tanto were here I'd be dead, or dying." He passed the picture back, now he knew exactly what his human fellow was going through, Griddlebone was pretty much a dead ringer for the lady in the picture, eyes, face structure, if it weren't for the white fur and feline body structure, yeah, Gridd was that woman.

"I see what you mean now, I think, correct me if I am wrong" Munkus said, he took a sip of his Irn Bru and then continued "Your wife was killed, by soldiers you mentioned, soldiers I am not very familar with. But before then you were attracted to her, no doubt by her beauty, thankfully I went with Tantomile and Demeter, had I not done so both Queens would have put my tail in so many Kelly Klamps...."

He changed the subject back to his original train of thought. "Corect me if I am wrong but, if you're thinking of asking Gridd out, forget it, from her scent, I think she and Misto found each other." After all Gridd was in heat at that moment. For all Munkus knew she had taken Misto already. Both were very powerful wizards

Munkus snickered "Well, you already meet my first wife. My second wife, well, lets just say that out in the wild the first job of a mother is to protect her family, even her men..." In his mind however Munkus was trying to figure out the right way to go about his new task. His human friend was rather large, not too large, but large nonetheless. So getting that blade and booking it to the next starport this side of the Greater Megaellan Cloud was going to take some heavy duty planning for sure.

"Honestly I am surprised that you survived your first meeting with my first wife. Tantomile when set in her tasks, is very dangerous, not as dangerous as my aunt Redmane mind you. But still, dangerous... and gorgeous." There was something about dark calicos that really rang Munkus' inner being something good. After all he had two kittens through Tantomile and another six through Deme, so it was one big {rimshot} happy family.

Munkus smiled, "Well, at least you are still on your feet, you consider that a task completed no doubt, going against a Cat hunting for certain artefacts and surviving with one of them still in your possession is a good thing no ?" "Not so sure of oppressive, more like threatened to get whiped off our planet... again." Munkus replied after taking a long chug of his drink.

He sat up "You see, the Conquorers wanted our planet for its minerals and among other things, some of our kindred for experimentation. They asked many times. each time they were told no, and each time they got meaner, until finally, they let loose their own army onto my kindred, generations ago the Pollicles invaded. We were nearly completely whiped out had the Master not opened the portal and sent us to Tellar and to safety. but some of the Pollicles followed us. So we were never truly alone from them. Now however, its been still many generations and my tribe returned, though this was about I think two thousand three hundred some years ago. So here we are. Myself, my First Mate, my sister in law, my own brother. And then some." he said

"In fact I will be lucky, darned lucky, to be able to get back home to Deme. I mean sure Tantomile is great yes, you met her already. You still have everything down there I hope" He had a snicker in his tone at that question. Dark calicos were awesome creatures, Tanto even had a great sense of humor too!

"So" Munkus said refilling his drink, he sat back in his chair and crossed one black and silver striped leg over the other in a relaxed manner, "How did you end up meeting my First Mate ?"

Munkus nodded, "Yes, the technology of Those Who Came Before, otherwise known as the stuff the Everlasting Cat herself left for us to protect her children. My people. In some cases yours too I think." He said thoughtfully. "It is beyond myself, and yet, somehow, it feels, when I hold the Apple, it feels like I know it through and through, and can do anything with it with a mere thought." He snickered then slightly.

"It was easy to spot then I think for her, your blade. Glass and steel in terms of make, a meter and a half long. Straight, no curve. the hilt and pommel are both hollow allowing another Piece to lock in solidly to unlock devices and vaults." He leaned on the table looking the human in the eyes "I know this just by looking at it. Something us Jellicles have in our eyesight. We can discern enemy from friend rather easy. And items of note as well."

"And then for your exwife to have it in her possession and then give it to you on her death. With you having no iea what it can do and merely using it for combat. Rather an interesting story that is. It would not surprise me in the least that her death is connected in some manner with my sister in law. After all you very well near drowned yourself in your own drink when she stepped out of that portal. To that extent you never took your eyes off her."

He then quoted her exact words, "'That man has done nothing but stare at me since I arrived. He makes me nervous.' is exactly what she told me when she and I conferred privately a few moments ago." He took a sip of his drink "Apparently your staring at her made her nervous. And making a Master Wizard like Griddlebone nervous is actually worse then making my brother Misto nervous. And he too is a Master Wizard. But he is more fun."
