Lost among a sea of hostile faces;

From Lust I took new form in raging sky
In place of my hunger I would bleed them
Skin burned to bone all creeds all foul races
What had been before was gone; spirit soar
And cleave a brutal grove in sanctuary
Unholy rage allowing lust afresh
But finally you carved from pride a sigh
And just as cleansing witches’ black besom
Wipes out purity you swept dark traces
From angelic diatribes of Bethor
And so dark spirits fled en masse from thee
Oh Lucifer-eternal souls I’ll thresh.
Personality.
A great deal has changed in the former succubus to her previous way of life and general behaviours. Though she still possesses much of the original Lust that bore her, it is now secondary to the Sin of Pride; having being crafted anew in Lucifer's image she now is a vessel for His Sin, the greatest of the seven.
She still holds the urge for pleasures of the flesh; instigating physical and eye contact along with her general seductive manner of speaking, however she only does this with a conscious effort, rather than it being utterly natural. What has replaces her usual persona is one of cold aloofness, a sense of great dignity and, of course, Pride. Much as Lucifer Himself does, so too does Nyx suffer her dominant Sin and as such this changes how she reacts to stimuli.
She is less affectionate to those she holds dear, being more of a tactical and cruel leader of men than a seducer, though she is by no means less subtle in her approach to corrupting individuals; Pride is the deadliest of the seven Sins as most everyone suffers it in some form and as such she has no need to seek out a source of power as she did during her time as a spawn of Lust and this, in turn means she has the ability to focus her thoughts more fully of tasks she must perform, making her a great deal more worrying to her enemies.
Her sadistic sense of inflicting suffering has increased greatly due to her violent rebirth, and she holds some degree of Satan's Wrath in that she will not hesitate to cause extreme pain upon any who defy her or cause her any sense of discomfort, however small.
Her mental manipulation techniques have also advanced along with her personality, again due to her new life. Lucifer Himself is a Master in the subtle ways of shifting one's mind into more evil and chaotic action, and Nyx has taken on this trait, becoming much more dangerous with her words, rather than merely seductive. She has the knowledge and sadistic will to warp a person’s view on the world merely by speaking, as she has been gifted vast knowledge by Lucifer regarding endless matters; magic, religious beliefs, the many traditions of peoples... Many things that instantly give her the edge in such manipulation.
As mentioned above, her more general persona has shifted to a much cooler, more aloof one to her deeply affectionate one previously. The Pride she suffers from certainly comes through in her every action as she will not allow herself to do anything in a less than perfect manner; even a simple wave will be carefully thought over to ensure it is flawless. Though this perfectionism is mostly due to her general sense of Pride, it is also due to her vastly increased loyalty to Lucifer, to whom she possesses an unrivalled level of respect and adoration and as such she would never do anything to put shame onto Him, being His direct creation.
General Abilities.
Nyx always had an array of general talents that were connected to no real segment of her demonic lineage.
- Abyssal Chains - New to her change, she possesses a pair of abyssal chains that possess some degree of sentience; having the ability to move on their own accord, though they mostly follow their Mistress' instruction. They can only be wielded by one who has been somehow touched by Nyx herself, and as such her enemies, should they come upon them, could not use them. As they are Hellish creations they are pitch black in colour and leak a general sense of evil and unease, furthermore they are extremely strong, being able to withstand a large amount of force; it taking a focused Holy assault to break them. They are also heated, and at Nyx's will this heat can increase to a searing burning sensation to scold those they touch.
- Wings of Ash - She possesses a pair of great black wings, looking like a cross between angelic and bat appendages. A jet black in colour they enable her to leap into flight at a moment's notice, and she has no need to focus to draw them out as she used to have to.
- Infernal Aid - She can summon at will up to two demon from the Abyss, ranging from a simple imp to a great galbrazu, and the might of the creature she intends to summon dictates how long she must charge.
Lustful Abilities.
Though Nyx is no longer bound by Lust and has progressed beyond such a basic Sin, she still possesses a range of the abilities of her succubus' nature.
- Passion's Heat - The aura of heat she always possessed is still about her new form, however it has changed dramatically; she has a much larger degree of control over it, to the extent that unless she wishes it, it will not be felt at all, and she feels no awkwardness in suppressing it. Furthermore she can focus this energy into another's form to raise their body temperature and this can be used in many ways, from gentle seduction, to the agony of boiling one's blood. Furthermore, as it is the raw energy of her Lustful nature, should she focus it to her body, she can amplify the power of her strike, adding a deep routed burning sensation.
- The Winds of Lust - An offensive ability that draws upon the energy of the First Circle, summoning a great swirl of biting winds that can tear trees from the ground, rip bricks out of wall and of course batter flesh to the point of death. Should she insert more energy into the Winds, she can add a number of deep purple lightning bolts that sear out from the whirlwind, and likewise, she has the ability to increase the wind's speed and bolt size.
- Lust's Reach - The blackness that used to cover her form has faded somewhat to give way to her new and perfected form, and as such her usual large mass of tainted tentacles has decreased in size somewhat, though it is by no means any less effective; at her will the inky ooze can flare outwards from her, being able to move at extreme speeds and harden on a whim. As is the case with her Abyssal Chains, the only sure way of destroying a tentacles without it merely regenerating is a focused Holy blast, or else a strike of great power.
- Temptation - A passive ability, her words in general carry a weight to them that makes it difficult for the average person to refuse a direct command, though it is not impossible to do so, there would perhaps be a delay in going against her wishes. Further to this direct eye or any physical contact can add to her manipulative nature, making it even harder to resist.
- Final Kiss - The greatest of her Lustful abilities, it requires a direct kiss upon another's lips, and once this is secured Nyx will forcibly draw out the soul from within, absorbing into herself as nourishment. Though this would mean an instant emotional death, leaving the victim as nothing but a shell, it requires a degree of time to complete, and should the contact be broken the soul will drift back into the other's form again.
Prideful Abilities.
Now her main domain, these abilities are more potent than their Lustful counterparts, and they are more natural to the former succubus, taking little effort to perform.
- Aura of Adoration - Much as Nyx has an aura of Lust, she has a more prominent one of Pride; within those around her she instils a sensation of awe and adoration to her figure, to the point that all else becomes insignificant. The overall effect is determined by the willpower of other's minds and by the focus Nyx puts into the area of effect. In general it is always there, however she pays little mind to it as it is a more passive ability.
- Forever Perfect - The one healing ability in Nyx's arsenal; she can consciously focus her energies to those surrounding her, draining their Pride while simultaneously regaining her own strength, be it physical or mental pain she is under. As a secondary effect of the draining, should a single person be particularly affected, they will be overcome by a sense of hopelessness and despair, most likely becoming useless in any situation until Nyx vacates the area.
- The Hounds of Pride - One of the most offensive abilities Nyx possesses, she draws upon the Pride of a particular person, taking a brief moment of time to focus on their mind and draw out particular topics of said Sin to use. Should Nyx have prior knowledge of a person however, the time taken to do this can be greatly reduced, thus making the ability much more dangerous. Once she has established a firm ground within the victim's mind, she summons forth the Hounds of Pride; dark green creatures with gaping gleaming jaws that are invisible to all but the one they are affecting. Their one aim is to tear the victim apart mentally; the person will see and feel immense pain of jaws and claws upon their flesh, though in reality no damage is done to the body. The longer the Hounds feast, the more ravaged and hopeless the victim's mind becomes until the point comes where the pair of fiends have had their fill and they drift away, leaving a hollow shell in place of a person. It takes great mental fortitude to fight against the Hounds, however outside aid can come in the form of words and the like, though the Hounds are immune to physical damage they can be harmed by mental assaults (though they must be somehow revealed first).
- Pride's Fall - The greatest assault of Pride. Nyx calls upon the River of Wailing, Cocytus where her Lord Lucifer dwells and summons the waters to the physical world she inhabits. The freezing river cascades across the area of effect, the direction of the flow being controlled by the demon's hand and should any being come into contact with it, they will suffer a terrible physical pain; thousands of icy needles piercing their flesh, their very core. Furthermore the River takes a huge toll on the soul of any who enters its murky depths; it can tear the soul of even the bravest of heroes, the most holy of priests, and the only true defence being to somehow escape from the surging tides, as none can go against the will of Cocytus. Though this is a great and terrible ability, it consumes almost all of Nyx's energies to perform, furthermore she must focus for a large amount of time before hand to create a direct link between herself and the Ninth Circle and for these reasons, she does not use it often.
Abilities of Dawn.
These are abilities gifted unto Nyx directly by the Fallen Bringer of Dawn, and as such they are immensely powerful and devastating to any who suffer them, though Nyx prefers to use her own power, rather than rely solely on the Dawn as for every move she uses, she must pay some price for the honour of doing so.
- Rays of Dawn - The most basic of Nyx's gifted powers; she gathers unholy energy at her fingertips and fires thin and focused beams of infernal energy, having the ability to control the direction of the rays, though only slightly as for the most part they aim directly forwards. They are extremely powerful if they strike, being able to seer flesh from bone, sever limbs, however the beams are thin, and therefore easier to avoid than her other attacks. The more she uses these, the more pain her hands inflict upon themselves; the light burning her fingers where they shoot from.
- His Infernal Gaze - Nyx eyes become Lucifer's own, mirroring His terrible gaze upon those who defy her; their brightness increases to such levels that it becomes painful to look upon them, rays of scorching and unholy fire tearing through the air and land wherever she looks in twin beams of pure malevolence and despair. Flesh simply burns to ash at the contact, diamond melts in its wake, the force is so destructive. There is almost no defence of this other than to simply leap from Nyx's line of sight, though the air around the searing light remains at a boiling temperature, making it difficult to avoid; only the Holiest of magics can withstand this assault, thought there is a high chance any shielding will be at least partially broken, the mage painfully seared. The price for such an ability is high; Nyx's eyes cannot hope to contain the damage she delivers upon others, and as such they themselves are scorched painfully, resulting in pure blindness that can last up to a week, as well as agonizing pain upon their white depths.
- The Embrace of Dawn - Drawing upon every reserve of strength she has remaining, Nyx uses her body to create a direct portal between the darkest depths of Hell and her immediate area. A great void overcomes her entire figure, gradually filling with Infernal Light before eventually her body cannot contain the sheer power and she, for lack of a better word, explodes with the force, the attack tearing a hole in her body, rendering her useless after the assault is done. Because of this she very rarely uses this ability, however it is as destructive as a mini Armageddon; anything within rage of the Light that bursts forth will likely instantly burst into flame, and should anyone die under the Light, their souls too are claimed by it. The only defence is to try and escape the large range, or interrupt Nyx as she charges the assault, once it has begun there is no way to halt it until it reaches it's eventually end.
In His Image.
The ultimate ability in Nyx's command, this can only be achieved when every last reserve of strength has gone from her and she can do nothing else. Owing to her recent rebirth via Lucifer, He will not allow His creation to die and sully His extreme Pride, and as such, should Nyx enter a state where death would be most likely unavoidable He will interviene.
Through Nyx's body He extends His infernal reach and creates a direct link between her and Him, essentially granting a portion of His power into his recent creation and in doing so, Nyx shifts into a different being, maintaining some semblence of personality, that is the Avatar of Dawn.
