Look: Photon is a quite short, 5'4 tall chubby and bald guy. He's got a rather oval-shaped face and black eyebrows, though he lacks hair on his head. He's wearing square-ish thick-framed glasses and his eyes are black. Usually he's got a brown skullcap (kippa) on his head. His body is somewhat round and he's wearing a white thin jumper, and black gloves on his hands. His pants are blue jeans, and his shoes are gray. When dressed in his super-hero 'suit', he looks the same, but is wearing dark shades to prevent people from recognizing him (how cunning).
Personality: Photon is a quite curious, easy to impress Jew. He is pretty smart and almost always wants to find out more about everything that interests him. He is sociable, but can be shy and easily offended, but doesn't usually respond to a challenge. At his worse, he might become quite easily offended, this leading to depression, or rage and instability. Overall, he's a good guy and a true friend. He can be trusted, but he's got a very low self-esteem. He likes exploring and reading mostly, but doesn't feel in his element when many people are around. He hates darkness and being alone, but unfortunately, most of the time he gets to be alone, that's when he reads books (usually his school books).
Powers: By unknown means, he seems to have developed the ability to bend light rays, and control the photons themselves. This enables him to stop them from moving, forming invisible solid-like simple shaped constructs or change the way and intensity (and kinetic energy) they carry while travelling through the air. He can also change light's wavelength, his limits, however, are infrared and ultraviolets, he cannot manipulate anything that's not really 'light'. Other use of his powers that he seldomly uses is to control the way light bounces off his body or other objecting, slowly making the temporarly invisible.
Background: His parents are Jews, descendants of the tribe of Dan. When their son was 7, they moved from the holy-land, so Asher had to learn English and get used to new customs and traditions, which he's done pretty well.
He is now about 16-17 years old and goes to high-school. His best friend is James Carter, who is also his classmate at most classes.
The way he developed his powers is unknown, but it is thought to be related to the way James got his.
