Personality: Rubira is one of the most explosively humble Pokemon one could meet. She has a moral code that she's stuck to since being a young Ponyta that has helped her along. Because of this, she has almost zero tolerance for any behavior that escapes the boundaries of her moral code. She doesn't view herself above others because of this moral agenda. She'll put the needs of the good Pokemon first before her own. She's also very task oriented, meaning she hates being interrupted when she is doing something. For this reason, she has zero tolerance for shenanigans that others may pull and can become irritated and cranky real quick. However, she only unleashed her full fury to wicked Pokemon that deserve it.

Strengths: Rubira is very task oriented. This makes her persistent. Once she has an opponent in her cross hairs, she will hunt them down until she has completed her objective.

Rubira is very fast...very fast. She has been known to outrun a Dragonite in flight. Of course she utilizes this to her advantage, blazing by the competition and, if all else fails, at least able to run away from it.

Rubira has a hidden fury beneath her that, when unleashed, increases her power when she strikes tenfold.

Weaknesses: By being task oriented, Rubira can only focus on one thing at a time, meaning she tends to try to ignore everything else around her. This makes her prone to being sneaked by or even sneaked up on. After all, stealth isn't her strong suit either.

Her speed comes at a price. If she does get hit, it's typically pretty rough on her. She can't take too many of those and if she somehow is outsped, the battle is over pretty quick for her.

When she is enraged to the point of increasing her power, she loses all sense of strategy and motion, relying solely on power. All finesse is gone and she is easy to hit during or after the fact.

Moveset:
Wild Charge-(Electric-Type) A damage dealing Physical move. The user shrouds itself in electricity and smashes into its target. It also damages the user a little.
Fire Blast-(Fire-Type) A damage dealing Special move. The target is attacked with an intense blast of all-consuming fire. It may also leave the target with a burn.
Agility-(Psychic-Type) A non damage dealing Status move. The user relaxes and lightens its body to move faster. It sharply boosts the Speed stat.
Flame Charge-(Fire-Type) A damage dealing Physical move. The user cloaks itself with flame and attacks. Building up more power, it raises the user’s Speed stat.
Bounce- (Flying-Type) A damage dealing Physical move. The user jumps very high in the air, then drops on the target the next turn. It may also leave the target with Paralysis.
Stomp- (Normal-Type) A damage dealing Physical move. The user stomps their big foot on the target. This may also cause the target to flinch.

Other: Rubira is noticeably stronger than the rest of Team Volt simply because she rides Lumi and Skyball literally everywhere they go.

So begins...

It would be about fifteen minutes before the Chimchar found himself on the outskirts of the hidden Pokemon Village. The entire journey, he was on high alert, making sure he wasn't followed or watched by anyone. He had a heightened awareness set around him at all times and he was relying on that. But it was also a particular decision in his mind to scan the area around him, making sure this time that nothing looked out of place. After all, she knew where the Crimson Guild was...at least the general area. That meant she either had people on the inside or on the outside looking in. She was constantly observing.

Even with all this, he was fairly certain she didn't see him as a threat. This meant she would take her time dealing with the Guild, if it came down to that. He preferred it that way.

As he found the road and walked into town, Crimson clutched the crystal box tighter, doing his best to make sure the Pokemon around him didn't get too close. He didn't know the residual effects of the box nor it's contents, so he wasn't going to take any chances. What Pokemon that were around either gave him a glance or walked by, though a couple recognized him as the Crimson Guild leader and waved. He waved back quickly before continuing towards his destination.

It was still strange see the community he'd helped cultivate so...empty...at least for now. That was by his design, since they were being told to hide until the threat of Melaine no longer loomed. Some of the shops remained open, out of either continuity of business or out of genuine aid to the Crimson Guild Members. And one of these shops was going to be helpful to him.

If it was open...

Fortunately, Crimson saw the light on at the Haru Training Dojo and knew who would be the first one to greet him when he walked in. Standing behind the counter was a frugal-looking Medicham, balancing on one foot like she was apt to do. An Expert Belt was tied to her forehead and her eyes were closed, like she was meditating. He could feel the power radiating from her body, a bright and potent aura, resonating with power. He sighed in reprieve at the familiar aura and took a deep breath in.

Of course she would notice this and her eyes blinked open to see the Chimchar in front of him.

"Ooo! Crimson!" she greeted in a sweet tone, "You're back! Your members were beginning to worry about you."

"Yeah," Crimson curled his lip at the thought, "I should've told them something before I disappeared for a couple days. Is Haru in the back?"

"Mmmhmmmmm," the Medicham nodded, "But he's teaching a class at the moment. He should be free in a little while."

"Oh that's okay. I just need a quick favor from him when he gets the chance," he set the box down on the counter, "I need to know if he can detect any kind of aura from the contents within."

"Oh, like the Shadow Aura?" she inquired.

"Exactly like the Shadow Aura," he smiled as she understood, "And with that being said, you be careful with what's inside. Tell Haru I said so too."

"I shall set it over here for him," the Medicham took the box and placed it beneath the counter, "Where'd you find this, by the way?"

"It was a gift," he answered earnestly, "From Melaine herself."

"Hmm?" her ears flickered in response to that news, "You spoke with Melaine?"

"Yep," he nodded, "Which is why I can't trust the contents of that box until they've been checked. And no one else can touch them either."

She nodded, a more serious tone in her stare, "I'll...keep it safe, then."

"Thanks, Lira."

Crimson turned to go, but she stopped him with her words, "What was she like?"

He paused for a moment, sighing as he recalled being in her chamber, "Oppressive. Cold. Decisive. And very strong."

"Can we beat her?" Lira asked, "Honestly?"

The Chimchar turned back, a casual smile on his face, "Yep. We sure can."

...

As he stepped out from the building and started making his way back to the Guild HQ, he was met halfway by a strange sight. Of course, word would travel fast that Crimson had arrived, even when there weren't that many people in town. Still, he wasn't expecting Rubira to rush down the road towards him, galloping at Rapidash pace. And certainly not alone. He blinked in surprise as he realized that neither Skyball nor Lumi were by her side.

Uh-Oh...

"What happened?" he already knew to ask the question as she skidded to a halt within earshot. He immediately hopped onto her back.

"Skyball's been corrupted," she told him as she took off at dizzying pace, racing towards the Crimson Guild HQ.
