Name: Sanina Lessard
Age: Appears 20
Height: 5'5
Weight: 130lb.
Race: Human
Species: Vampire

Sanina was once a woman of beauty, and some might still think her it if they looked past the insanity in her eyes, and the stench of decay that clings to her form. She has a pale complexion, befitting one who sees very little sunlight, crimson eyes and long black hair. She is often well dressed and leans towards old fashioned styles of gowns and dresses. At her throat she wears a silver cross.

Sanina is cunning and cautious by nature, and rarely will she take part in a physical conflict. Her less than socially acceptable behaviors she keeps to dark alleys or behind closed doors. Her personality can be variable depending on her current level of lucidity and awareness, anywhere from whimsical and motherly to viciously violent and cruel.

Her history prior to her family's arrival in Wing City is a matter of speculation, and should one ask into it she'll probably just lie. That and her perception of actual history is skewed. Insanity can make remembering pesky historical details quite troublesome.

  • Shape shifter: Sanina can assume the shape of either a wolf or a bat, as well as a hybrid bat form, complete with wings.
  • Hypnosis: With direct eye contact, Sanina can lull a victim into a state of passiveness.
  • Seers vision: Sanina is a seer. This is a passive ability, and not one she can call at will, though it grants her visions of the future. Due to the future being an ever changing place, these visions are often vague, and can take time and effort to properly interpret.
  • Raise Dead: Raises the deceased body of a creature into a zombie or skeleton. Can be adapted to create wraiths and ghosts in instances where the soul failed to move on after death.
  • Control Undead: Seize control over an undead creature. The stronger the will power of her target, the harder it is, though physical contact or access to the victims blood increases the potency of the spell.
  • Ghoul Touch: The ability to inflict localized paralysis and decay with hand contact.
  • Drain Life: This ability to drain the life from a living target or object through maintained contact.

Sanina has a large number of undead minions at her disposal. Most are simply your traditional skeletons and zombies, though she has a knack for creating hybrids, in which she summons forth demonic entities to possess her creations, which remain thoroughly bound under her control through their undead nature.

  • Zombie Wolves: Her undead wolf pack numbers at about thirty.
  • Pack leader - Wulfric: Wulfric is a demon hybrid, and he serves as pack leader over the zombie wolves, granting a sapient head to unify their numbers and to keep the pack acting as a cooperative unit without Sanina's direct attention. This allows the pack far more efficiency in a group than the mindless undead would normally be capable of, without Sanina needing to tax herself to direct them individually. Anyone attempting to wrest control of the wolves needs to overcome both Wulfric, and Sanina's control simultaneously, making it a difficult process. Wulfric's abilities are very much an extension of Sanina's own, and his necrotic bite inflicts her ghoul rot affliction – localized paralysis and decaying of the flesh.
  • Dire bear - Ursa: Ursa is a demon hybrid and for all intents and purposes, the tank of the lot. Ursa relies on brute strength in combat, lacking any magical or demonic abilities offensively, though its undead nature, and regenerative qualities make it very resilient to absorbing damage.
  • Demon cat - Scamp: Scamp is a demon hybrid best suited for ambush tactics. A permanent displacement effect over Scamp leaves him always appearing to be standing approximately two feet from where he actually is. Scamp can breath an all consuming demonic hellfire, as well as travel in and out of the infernal plane through fire.
  • Bat swarm: As individuals her undead bats are likely the weakest of her numbers, though in groups they can create a great deal of chaos. The swarm sits at about two-hundred strong.
  • Raven - Carrion: Carrion is Sanina's eyes and ears, lurking and spying where Sanina could not otherwise go.
  • Zombie Kitten - Patches: Does this one really warrant an explanation?

So begins...

Sanina Lessard reeled back as the gun went off, blood and gore splattering as she fell to the floor motionless.

Sanina Lessard stirred finally, her regenerative abilities working to repair the damage done by the gunshots. Even undead need functioning heads to well.. function and it had taken her a while to get in any shape to stand back up. But she rose now, hissing as she bared fangs at the one that shot her and withdrew towards the stairway, "That wasn't very polite. I'm telling father." she said as she turned to try and retreat back upstairs.

Sanina Lessard sauntered her way down the stairway curious as to the commotion going on in the bar. Her steps were unhurried and her dark curls framing her face swayed and bounced with her deliberate steps.

In one arm was cradled a bundle covered carefully with her cloak, but as the fabric shifted the object would come into view briefly, the skeletal remains of an infant.

She was humming a soft lullaby as she descended fingering a silver cross at her neck. "Good evening, good night. With roses adorned." she sang softly and whimsically.

As she spotted what was going on she paused. "Oh my. A Lycan." she said softly. She didn't recognize the individual in question as she wasn't local to these parts or she may have been more concerned. "Shh shh Jezzebell dear, there's nothing to worry about. Mommy wont let anything hurt her." she said in the sing song voice of a mother to her child.

Sanina Lessard withdrew back against the far end of the bar, her steps still unhurried as she observed the confrontation with Riaze and the two younger vampires. "Well now, this is certainly intriguing... father will want to know." she murmured softly as she tried to sooth the morbid skeletal remains still cradled in her arm.

"Shh dear, it's just a beast, nothing to worry about." she cooed gently.

Though there was a flicker of unease in her eyes though. A Lycan of that power could spoil things so quickly. She would remain though, wary, yet observant, gathering information as long as she remained undetected.

She almost seemed to be circling as she moved along the outer wall keeping an eye on the appropriate exits in case she needed to vacate the area.

Sanina Lessard seeing the fight resolve decided to make herself scarce. While she was confident in her strengths, the Lycan was a powerful one, and she was wary to remain here without at least father. She gently tucked her cloak around the skeletal remains of the child cradled in her arms as if to keep it warm.

"Come dear, I think we have seen enough." she said whimsically as she continued to finger the silver cross at her neck. Her footsteps would carry her back towards the stairway as her soft lullaby resumes. "Good evening, good night. By angels watched." she said, her voice carrying an odd eeriness to it despite the pleasant nature of the lullaby.

As she moved away the scent of death clung to her, not just the undeath of her vampiric nature, but something else. Death of the grave and rotting corpses.

Sanina Lessard made her way down into the bar from the stairway her steps slow and deliberate with a slight sway to them. In one arm she cradled what apeared to be the skeletal remains of an infant with her cloak carefully tucked around it, as if it to keep it warm. Her free hand was lightly fingering a silver cross that hung at her neck.

"Sleep my child, and peace attend thee.. All through the night, guardian angels God will send thee.." she sang softly, and despite the gentle nature of the lullaby her words had an eerie air to them. As she entered the room she seemed to give off a vague scent of death. Not just the undeath of her vampiric nature, but the death of the grave and rotting corpses.

Her words would carry across the room, eerie as they were they still held a melodious tune to them.

Sanina Lessard seemed to notice the attention on her as her eyes drifted over to watch Cheyenne briefly. She even offered the child a gentle pleasant smile as the pleasant lullaby continued.

"All through the night, Soft drowsy hours are creeping, Hill and Vale in slumber sleeping.." her words carried across the bar, sweet and musical.

Her footsteps would carry her to a table by herself as she sat down turning her attention to the morbid remains cradled in her arm as she smiled sweetly down at it taking care to tuck her cloak gently around it.

"Rest now Jezzebell dear, we'll feed soon." she crooned softly in the gentle singsong voice of a mother to her child.

As she looked up her gaze fell on Black Jazz briefly and a look of distaste crossed her expression. "Never mind her Jezzebell dear, it's just another of those beasts. What kind of establishment lets such filthy creatures in anyways." she said disdainfully.

A chilling howl pierced the air in the distance as the scent of decay began to fill the room.

Sanina didn't seem to take notice of the howl, or the sudden stench of death spreading through the room and continued her gentle lullaby, "While the moon her watch is keeping, all through the night.."

The words were sweet and melodious and carried through the room with an oddly eerie chill despite their pleasant nature. Her free hand continued to lightly finger the silver cross at her throat as a wolf stepped into the bar from the doorway.

This was no ordinary wolf, it exuded the stench of decay and rotting flesh and patches of fur and flesh were missing, in some places stripped to the bare bone. As it padded into the room another followed, and then another.

"Shhh now Jezzebell dear, we'll feed soon." she murmured over the skeletal remains cradled in her arms. It was often she Sanina found herself in hunt mode, but today her eyes cast across the bar watching for signs of prey.

The wolf passing Eva froze as it growled lowly. The one that had passed Anne Sofani circled around to join the first as they made their inspection of Eva. Neither of them had a friendly posture as they stalked past her. One would come within a few feet and the growl grew louder and more threatening, the reak of rotting flesh all the stronger as they both turned to move past to join Sanina at her table with the third wolf. Sanina was lightly stroking the head of the wolf at her table as she turned her eyes to Eva.

Sanina Lessard rose from her chair as she made her way towards Eva, her footsteps slow and unhurried, yet deliberate and with a slight sway to them. The bundle in her arms was shifted to one arm as she cradled it gently.

She knelt down next to Eva and the object in her arms would become evident, the morbid skeletal remains of an infant. "Are you quite alright?" she asked as her melody ceased.

For those sensitive to such things Sanina exuded an aura of undeath around her, and the faint odor of death and decay.

Her expression was one of genuine concern, though the reason for the concern wasn't quite as evident.

Sanina Lessard offered a hand out to Eva, "Come, I'll help you. Where do you need to get to?" she asked. Her voice was gentle and kind, though the entrance of Drake Stern brought a frown to her. The man had a way of disrupting things, that and his men did shoot her once.

"It's quite not safe for you here." she explained as she moved to try and help lift the woman to her feet. Should Eva allow it, she would find Sanina remarkably stronger than she looked for her stature and size, easily capable of supporting the drugged woman against her.

Sanina Lessard fortunately did not need to breath or really to see even, however Eva did and the entrance of Drake Stern had suitably disrupted her hunt enough to leave her irritated. Almost irritated enough for a fight, however direct confrontations weren't her style... but perhaps this once... She didn't take kindly to someone crashing her hunting grounds.

A chilling howl cut through the air from outside as Sanina didn't wait as she pulled Eva close, her cloak coming to wrap loosely around the other woman to try and protect her from the effects of the approaching tear gas.

"It's time to go Jezzebell dear." she said whimsically as she moved to all but carry Eva towards the stairway hoping that the smoke would offer them cover to vacate the area.

From the doorway returned the three wolves from earlier, growls emanating from their throats as they stalked into the room to spread out towards Drake Stern. These were no ordinary wolves, the stench of death and decay clung to them and their flesh rotted away clean to the bone in areas.

Sanina Lessard reached the stairway unhindered apparently as she took Eva upstairs. "Never mind that, there will be plenty of time for talking later." she said soothingly as they departed from the room leaving the confrontation behind.

She wasn't concerned for her pets, she could always make more.

Sanina Lessard would be forced to leave Eva leaned against the wall outside her doorway to open it due to the skeletal remains still cradled in her other arm. But once open she slipped inside laying the bundle in it's crib to return to Eva. "Come along, you can rest in here." she said soothingly as she tried to help the woman into the room.

The room was unsettling and very wrong. Between the necromancy supplies strewn across the table and the dead animal parts scattered about the place it was quite certain that less than holy acts took place in this room routinely. The entire room reeked of death.

Sanina Lessard moved Eva into the room seeming unconcerned by the other woman's hesitation. As they moved inside she swung the door shut behind them just as a small kitten covered in blood and missing patches of fur ran through the room to hide under the couch.

"Don't mind Patches, she doesn't get along with strangers." she explained as she moved to lower Eva into a chair. Her tone seemed different than downstairs, less sweet and a touch darker and more ominous. "May I inquire as to your name?" she asked.

Sanina Lessard moved around behind Eva's chair one hand trailing along Eva's arm as she moved to wrap her other arm around Eva from behind to hold her still. "Eva, such a pretty name." she said sweetly.

Should the touch be unhindered where Sanina's fingers trailed along Eva's arm, the flesh would begin to darken and decay, infection spreading with her touch.

"Go? So soon? Don't you like my home?" she whispered softly. There was an eerie mrowling noise coming from beneath the couch followed by a brief hiss and from the neighboring room the sound of what could have been a raven would be heard.

Sanina Lessard tightened her grip on Eva as she crooned softly into the other woman's ear. "Shhh." she said softly as she leaned down now, fangs bared as she moved to sink them into the side of Eva's throat.

Her hand would tighten on Eva's arm, fingers digging into the flesh as the decay continued to spread across the woman's flesh. Sanina was a Vampire yes, but she was also a necromancer, but she fed in two ways, blood, and life energy.

She was aiming to satisfy both of those needs from Eva and the contact with Eva's arm would slowly begin to drain the life right out of her.
