Was it something I said?

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Patcharoo

Description

Name: Sophie (Last name unknown)
Gender: Female
Age: Eleven
Hair: Light red.
Eyes: Purplish
Test Line: D-4
Designation: A. X-6

'Formally they were a project of an unknown group or individual. I saw not need to change their designation' -Adam

Persona: Still holds a sense of youth and is sometimes easily swayed by those senior to her. She holds a strong dislike of 'fleshies' (individuals unlike herself) and maintains that 'her brother Alex' is going to come back some day, this relation likely being the cause of a sense of abandonment.
Specifications: The following is a list of the installed parts to this unit. For an in depth explanation, see D-4 - A. X-6 specifications manual by Adam Noble.
Impossible Gravitional Device: This technology enables flight, mimicking similar ki-related abilities.
Unlimited Energy Drive: A seemingly impossible machine that generates energy equal to or greater than the energy used. Should it be damaged or run out of energy, A. X-6 will shut down until enough energy has been gathered to continue.
Alloy Fusion Shell: Initially the shell had been designed for mobility purposes, but has since been upgraded to be highly resistant to all form of physical damage, including withstanding multiple close-range shots from armour, plasma and Electro Magnetic Pulse.
Red Power Oil: An odd insistence (but also a convenience) was that the A. X-6 unit runs off a 'blood' oil. A murky maroon-brown liquid courses through their body for reasons of coolant, lubricant and several other basic functions.
Nano-Machine Repair: A left over of their pre-Orion iteration is an uncountable number of nanobots with data allowing them to constantly be repaired and updated. The Nanobots are responsible for the Unlimited Energy Drive, Alloy Fusion Shell and Red Power Oil.
Advanced 'Humanity' Body: A. X-6 is capable of a full range of movement and flexibility higher than that of a normal human being. Additionally, due to the nature of their construction they are immensely strong, fast and may perceive and react to events at a heightened rate.
Palm Nexus Absorption: On the palm of either hand is a concealed device allowing for the absorption of multiple types of energy, including but not limited to heat, electricity and Ki.
Left 'Arm'aments: Concealed within the left arm is a minigun, capable of firing over two hundred bullets a minute. The arm also has the capability to automatically produce these weapons through energy-matter conversion. Favourites of ammunition include High Explosive and Armour Piercing.
Right 'Arm'aments: Concealed within the right arm is a high power rocket launcher and similar energy-matter conversion. Ammunition includes AMRAAM, Cluster Rockets and Incendiary Rockets.

'Adam, while I enjoy a good pun as much as the next man, this is a scientific environment and highly inappropriate. I'd like to see you in my office later.' -Walker.

Sonar Cannon: Concealed in the mouth is a high frequency Sonar Cannon capable of liquefying flesh at close range.
Eye Lasers: Orion tech at its finest, putting a pair of concealed kinetic eye-beams in behind the optical sensors which can in turn amplify or focus the power to a specific point.
Jet Propulsion: High powered jet propulsion allows for rapid change of direction and mobility in the air, or an additional boost of movement.
Internal Bomb: Removed

'Who thought this was a good idea? They're a god damn kid, not a robot.' -Adam.

"No," Sophie explained, "The serial killer walked away to shoot the air and shout. But don't worry, I can shoot him if he comes back. There's a gun in an unlocked cabinet in the lounge room. Should I go get it?" There was a sound of the phone being put down.

"Sophie?" called Avia. "Sophie, no. It's probably best not to. He's probably going to try and go murder some saiyan or vampire unawares. The poor thing. Leave him be, though. It'll be his fault." She waited a few moments. "Sohpie?"

There was a clicking noise. "I got the gun," came the helpful tone from the opposite side of the phone, "It's kind of heavy, and I can't see any bullet in the barrel. How do I check its loaded?" Of course she didn't really have a gun. Well, not an ordinary firearm. Sophie was better equipped herself.

There was almost a full ten seconds in which Avia was completely silent after a little gasp. Then, "Sophie, but the gun down, sweetheart, that's not for playing with. You're going to blow your head off!" The tone was distressed and worried.

Then it fell flat. "I'm joking. I know you're a robot, Sophie. You're not fooling anyone."

"You're a boring fleshy," was the smug reply in a sneering tone, followed by the phone promptly being hung up. Drat, she had been caught out. She would have to be more careful when dealing with Avia in the future. That woman was too smart for her own good. Maybe she would have to do something about her...

Avia hmphed and dropped the phone down. With a cross of her legs, she sank into her couch, sweeping her hair over her shoulder, and turned on her television.

"Strange, strange evening," she mumbled to herself.

Aiya stepped out onto the arena sands with her head held as high as she could manage, but like always nerves got the better of her. It had been a while since she fought without using the full potential of her equipment, but here she was with metal gauntlets and boots deactivated, not even wired in. Her spinal brace was also missing, as after all she didn't need it, and none of the advanced components were worn. It was just excessive. Although... She had to admit she wasn't looking forward to kickboxing with a weight advantage. She felt so rusty, and she usually fought bare fist and foot.

Her eyes sought the crowd, head turning as she pivoted on one foot to seek the one friendly face in the crowd. She saw them, floating slightly up and waving her arms to get Aiya's attention and it brought a small smile to her face. In fact, it made her feel a lot less worried to have Sophie watching her back. Sure she was just a kid, but it was nice to have at least one fan. One last check before she turned to face her opponent, reaching a hand up to make sure her normally messy brown hair was up in a ponytail nice and tight. Dressed in loose kick boxing shorts and a tank top, Aiya looked every bit the kick boxer her father helped train. Her nervousness was starting to spill over to excitement as she now gave one small bounce on the spot to make sure she was nice and stretched out before locking her eyes on the opposite end of the arena.

It would be a little while later out in the lobby where Aiya was getting lip from the administration. "No, I'm not 'Char', do I look like a 'Char' to you? I'm Aiya. Ai-ya!" she said in a loud voice with a raising volume. The girl had quite a pair of pipes on her! Sophie was with her again, the red-haired eleven year old hanging near her side but mostly looking bored now the fight was over and they had to go through all this business. "Look at my ID! I was the other fighter you-!" She had to bite her lip before she broke into bad language in front of the kid.

Silas wandered over to the booth, now bristling with his various weapons he carried on the regular, and leaned against the window.

"Someone giving someone trouble over here? I'd hate to think there was trouble going on."

His voice came crackling over the external speakers of his helm with a slight electronic distortion and hiss, photoreceptor glowing ominously in a rose hue as it settled on the pay administrator. The whole thing was more of a menacing act than anything else, but to someone who didn't know him you'd think he was ready to blast everything within a kilometer to cinders.

Aiya leant away for a moment, then realized who it was. Features of worry dropped away to a smirk. "This is my opponent," she said, gesturing to him. The clerk narrowed their eyes and muttered something unfriendly before reaching for the other paycheck, one with a slightly lower sum. Aiya took it and slipped it into her pocket. "Uh, and thanks... You... Char?"

But almost like a ghost from the side Sophie had stepped out next to Aiya and now had purple hues staring straight up at the man. "Can we go?" she said, eyes shifting sidewards to Aiya.

He nodded and shrugged.
"Recently anyways."
He snagged his check and folded it, tucking it into a belt pouch and nodding his thanks to the clerk. That done, he regarded the pair curiously. He crouched on his haunches and got to approximate level with Sophie, looking her in the eyes.

"And who might you be, ad'ika? You her fight manager, teaching her the ins and outs of hand to hand combat? Gonna make her run up some stairs or maybe punch a side of bantha in a freezer to toughen her up? I've got some montage music if you want. Evocative stuff. Eyes of Tigers, guitar solos, bad hair, that sort of thing."

Aiya stood calmly to the side to give Sophie a chance to talk, mostly because she didn't know what to say herself. "If I was her manager she would walk the floor with you and all those other fleshies. Unless you're not really fleshy under that tin suit." Her tongue poked out to taunt him, but there was something wrong about that child. The way she held herself didn't seem quite childlike. It wasn't just her words and actions, they were still pretty childish. However, her posture was too still and she didn't blink enough. Aiya hastily stepped in.

"She's um, well..." Aiya then placed a hand over Sophie's face. "Be nice, okay?" she added, trying to shove the child behind her.

"Actually the suit's a combination of armorplast ceramic and nonferrous polycarbonate mesh with some steel reinforcement and a number of other composite materials, but even if it weren't I doubt making it out of tin would've made it very effective."

He stood and shrugged, stretching once he was up.

"Anyway, you okay after the fight? Not too banged up, I hope?"

Sophie was now retreating her head away from Aiya's hand, a lot like a cat might, and trying to protest the entire time. "No I'm fine, well, I'm not fine, but like, I've had worse." She was running her mouth a little, and once she started she couldn't stop. "Like just the other week I had to fight a mage who did some stupid exploding trick and ugh..." Her eyes flicked in an irritated roll, but with all that talking Sophie had a chance to free herself from Aiya's shoving palm.

"Aiya would've beat the crap out of you if she was using her real gear and not just playing around. You weren't even worth-" a hand found her face again, a finger practically jabbed inside her mouth. "Ignore her, she talks too much."

"She might be right, though. I think you'd have done better if you weren't holding back so much. Maybe next time we meet we'll keep from holding back. Really cut loose, see what we can do."

Though the expression of the helm was fixed in place, the way he held himself seemed to give it an expressiveness that shouldn't be possible. With his head tilted so, the smile in his voice somehow was conveyed by the visor and it's single 'eye', and his posture matched it easily, arms folded over his chest and kama blowing in the light breeze.

"Aha... Yeah," Aiya said with her eyes shifting to the side. Her mouth tugged awkwardly to the side as she was told she could do better. Suddenly Sophie had a change of heart (especially with her mouth being freed from Aiya's hand again). "We're going to Canti's Diner for milkshakes. You should join us, it's tradition," she said, putting on the sickly sweetest little innocent beaming smile for Char. Aiya's eyes went a little wide as her head snapped around to look at Sophie, mouthing a silent 'whyyyyyy'.

"Milkshakes, eh? Well, if it's not any imposition, I suppose I could join a pair of storied warriors like yourself in the traditional post-battle feast. After all, I do have this cash burning a hole in my belt here, and absolutely nobody to spend it on until I inadvertently blow up another casino, so it seems only fair. Besides, I need to know where's safe to eat around here..."

He gestured for the ladies to lead the way, hooking his thumbs in his belt.

"Isn't the phrase 'blow it at the casino'?" Aiya asked with an eyebrow quirking upwards, confused. Probably just didn't know it that well. "Let's get going!" Sophie chirped in, grabbing on Aiya's hand and giving it a tug. "Huh- oh, sure..." Uncertainly she turned around on the spot and headed for the exit. "It's just down the road."

"No, I'm pretty sure it was the one I said."

He shrugged and followed along, not minding a bit of a walk to stretch his legs after having to repair and clean his armor in the cramped confines of his ship.

Well... It sure was Canti's. An ordinary run of the mill diner that Aiya was quick to try and get a booth in. If she couldn't find a booth normally she'd just wander around for a few seconds, hope nobody noticed her, check a phone that never rang or look at her arm like she had a watch on, then walk back out. Not having a booth was the worst. Fortunately there was a booth which she hurried over to. She would have sat closest to the wall, but Sophie beat her there, dashing in just in time to cut her off. Aiya looked shocked, maybe even offended, but fell quiet as she sat on the outer spot of the seat. Her hands came to drum on the table in thought before she glanced back towards the third of their party.
