Description

ImageName: Taima
Alias: The Storm
Height: 6'8
Weight: 250 lb.
Place of Birth: Caldonia
Species: Draconian
Caste: Draconian Highborn

Though humanoid in form, Taima's features are unmistakably draconic in nature. She is an imposing individual, standing at about six-foot-eight. Her face is the visage of a dragon snout complete with a mouthful of vicious looking fangs and bony protrusions, and in place of skin she has scales, crimson red. On her back she sports a large pair of wings.

Taima came into her prime during the peak of the elemental wars that ravaged Caldonia. Serving in the draconian army, she led her people to great victories at seemingly insurmountable odds and quickly became renowned as a hero and a legend. Unfortunately victory came at a cost. During a final stand against the primordials that had been unleashed upon the land, victory and salvation for Caldonia was seized at the destruction of the draconian homeland. Disgraced, Taima faded into a self-imposed exile far to the north.

It was many years later when she resurfaced briefly during the days of the Orsa of Terminus. Taima died a heroes death, falling in battle in the defense of Terra. Though it has been decades since her passing, rumors have begun to spread that this champion of old has been seen walking the lands of Terra once more.

Taima now serves as herald to Ahuma, patron deity of the draconians. As a mortal, Taima was an awe inspiring champion of Terra, as a demi-god she's a torrential storm of divine retribution. She is however not permitted to directly meddle in the affairs of mortals except as is required in the execution of her duties.

As the herald of Ahuma, Taima has been granted access to a wide variety of divine capabilities. In addition to this touch of divinity, Taima is well versed in worldly knowledge from her travels as a mortal. Geography, religion, culture, the realms and planes of the world, demons, and the undead are only a few of Taima's more knowledgeable fields, and her knowledge continues to expand day by day.

Taima favors a halberd, and maintains a strong affinity to lightning, but she is also well versed in the use of swords, and decently capable with most basic melee weapons.

Taima descends after the fox, her wings flaring wide to hault her momentum as she hits the ground roughly, going into a crouch. With a launch and a flap of her wings to add force to her attack, she would aim to close the gap between them, swinging her halberd in a violent and vicious arc towards the fox.

Taima grimaced as the acid splattered against her weapon, gauntlets, shield and armor, sizzling loudly as the corrosive material damaged the integrity of her items. With the anti-magic zone up, they weren't protected by their usual enchantments, and could be harmed. She didn't hesitate her attack though, if anything she increased it. She didn't know if the acidic substance would stop at the armor and continuing her moment, she used her wings to add speed and power to her lunges. She didn't want to give the fox any room or space, and kept on his tail despite the damages.

Taima for whatever reason halted her attack as she shifts to the side, the acidic substance spattering on the rocks where she once stood. She didn't pursue the fox though as she moved back. The acid had begun to eat through her armor, and the pain as it seared against her skin brought her up short as she sunk to one knee, her halberd still clutched in her hand. Reaching into another pouch she pulled forth a new powder, this one silver and cast it around herself in a wide circle. Though what she hoped to accomplish with an anti-magic zone up, is uncertain. But already the acid was working at her scales, and soon it would enter her blood stream. She merely knelt there, her head bowed as if in concentration.

Taima raised her shield up over her head as the anti magic field around her dissipates, and her items flare to life once more. The rocks would strike against her shield and the ground around her, and though Shen wouldn't be able to see it through the dust and debris, her shield would glow brightly for a moment, enveloping itself in a safety zone of protective energy. When the dust cleared, she would still be there, crouched, her head bowed. She didn't seem to be saying or doing anything, she just knelt there on one knee. Her shield hummed against her arm as the magic coursed over it.

Taima didn't move from her spot, but she would stand now, as she began to mutter familiar incantations, her halberd clutched tightly in her hand, her eyes weren't on the fox, but rather turned towards the sky. If the foolish fox thought he could use lightning on her, he would be sorely mistaken. The storm was hers to call, and the air began to crackle with power, but no she wouldn't expend herself that fully, not just yet.

Taima raises her halberd into the air as her incantations are completed once more, calling the lightning to her again. Normally she would call it from the sky, but why expend her own energy when she can use Shen's instead. No she wouldn't muffle it, she would call it to her as she had the last time. As his lightning descends towards the mountain, the deafening thunderclap causing the air and ground around them to tremble, his attacks would strike her halberd rather than the mountain side. The the one that struck the top of the mountain would go unhindered however, and the mountainside would quake from the blow, but with the closer ones abosorbed she would be safe from falling rocks.

With her attack fully charged from Shen's own energy, she would release it back at him in full force. Using his own logic against him, even should he dodge it, the explosion of electricity and rock should hit him. She truly didn't wish to harm the fox, but if she had no choice in the matter, she would begin to call on lethal magic.

Taima promptly launches herself into the air, abandoning her circle as she attempts to intercept the falling fox. The burns on her hide were painful, but she was fortunate that the acid seemed to have worked it's course between trying to eat through both her armor and her scales, that it hadn't managed to penetrate and enter her blood stream. Though she would have to be careful, if the stuff was toxic even in a solidified state, cleaning it from her equipment later would be tricky.

Taima would catch the unconscious fox in her free hand as she intercepts his fall. The sudden added weight causing her flight to falter and buckle as she tries to hook her arm around his waist to keep a hold on him. Despite her divine magic, healing really wasn't her strong point, so she headed to the one place nearby that help might be locatable. Wing City. The trip would be wearying for her, but her wings were up for the task, and it wasn't far at all. They should be there shortly.

Taima flared her wings suddenly to halt her descent as the draconic looking humanoid being lands roughly outside with an unconscious Kitsune hooked under one arm, and a halberd in her other hand. Her footsteps would echo heavily on the ground as she entered. She was an imposing individual, standing at about 6'8. Her face is the visage of a dragon snout complete with a mouthful of vicious looking fangs and bony protrusions and in place of skin she had scales, crimson red. On her back she sports a large pair of wings furled carefully against her.

She wore a suit of scale mail armor, that seemed to be overlain with dragon scales, and she had a shield strapped to a forearm. Both of which look burned and damaged, as if someone had splattered them with acid. She would deposit the Kitsune rather roughly onto a table.

Taima stood over him for a moment before finally saying, "You're sure?". Though who she spoke to is uncertain, as there doesn't seem to be anyone else standing there. Content that the dark aura that had surrounded Shen previously was gone, she would move away from the table taking up a post by the door, her halberd at her side again. She looked very much like she was a guard standing at her post, and she would remain there until someone arrived that could tend to the Kitsune, or until he woke on his own.

Taima made no move as Shen woke. What was there to do? Coddling wouldn't help matters, either the fox would be alright on his own, or help would arrive. Either way she would just keep watch until one of the two happened. She did not regret her actions, the fox had attacked her, even if he wasn't in his right mind. She did what she had to.

Taima turns her attention to Jacey. "I am well. The Kitsune may be in need of attention, if you are skilled in such things." she says with a gesture of her halberd, towards Shen. Her voice is rough and gravely, almost a rumbling growl.

Taima just kept up her post near the doorway. Making no move to help or to leave. The Kitsune seemed unpredictable, and she was ready to react should it become necessary.

Taima shifts her weight as she prepares to leave. "He was struck by lightning, his recent memory may be impaired." she states as she turns to leave. If the fox had no recollection of the events, there was no purpose in her filling him in. Some things are just better not remembered.

Taima approached the building of the library, as usual not knowing why she was going there. The stone had merely shown her the location, but no time or place. She knew the people she was looking for, but had no idea when they would arrive. It could be yesterday, or a year from now.

Her footsteps are loud against the steps as she made her way into the building, armor clanging with each step. She is an imposing individual, standing at about 6'8. Her face is the visage of a dragon snout complete with a mouthful of vicious looking fangs and bony protrusions and in place of skin she had scales, crimson red. On her back she sports a large pair of wings.

In her gauntleted hand she holds a halberd, and to the forearm of her other is strapped a large shield, appearing to be overlaid with crimson dragon scales. She's geared out in a battle worn, but sturdy suit of scale mail, also overlaid with dragon scales. Across her back between her wings the hilt of a sword can be seen over her shoulder.

Taima catching the end of the conversation began to approach the group. These were the ones she was supposed to meet. Her footsteps would pause as she drew near, and she stood tall, almost as if at attention, the haft of her halberd resting on the ground next to her. "Dallas Reigner, the stone has spoken. It seems my purpose here has become apparent." she says, her voice rough and gravely. She had already sworn an oath of service to Dallas, and now she new what she was serving.

Taima would have smiled at Dallas' words, if such an expression was possible with her draconic visage. She would humbly bow her head. "I am Taima, nothing more." she says to Ty. To Dallas "My people once sacrificed themselves to prevent a great evil from being unleashed into this world, and I would do the honor a second time again. My services will remain at your disposal until such a time as they are no longer needed." she says. To Silvire she merely offers a respectful bow of her head. Sometimes words weren't needed.

Taima flowed into the area, passing through a wall. Her form though solid, wavered just a touch as it did so. A hint of her ethereal blood perhaps. Anyone else traveling this plane would appear as they would in the material plane, but Whisper's form was a touch off. She certainly seemed ethereal enough on this plane, between her white hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and white dress, she didn't add much color to the surrounding area, but seemed to stand out from the grey scale at the same time.
