0 · 1,496 views · located in Wing City Lake: Beach

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by SleepyShadow

Description

She is a slender young woman with tan skin, long dark hair, and piercing eyes. She typically wears soft leathers, lets her hair flow freely, and adorns her thick locks with beads, feathers, and other small ornaments. She typically wears face paint in some manner, and will often mark her face or other parts of her body with symbols representational of traits of the various spirit animals she reveres, such as the wisdom of the owl, the endurance of the bear, and the splendor of the eagle.

Personality

White Crow is a reserved person, with her insatiable curiosity tempered by wisdom beyond her years. She is quiet most times, though when spoken to she will gladly engage in conversation. However, she cannot stand harm being committed to living creatures, be they animals or people, and she will often step in on their behalf. White Crow has a love for music, song in particular, and will happily join in with any music if permission is given to do so. She also has a love of dance, however she does not ask permission to do that.

Equipment

A small hunting knife.

Leather working tools.

A pouch of dried rations.

A bow and quiver of 40 arrows (when hunting or adventuring)

White Crow let out a soft sight at his words.
"You've lost someone you love, haven't you?" she asked sadly. "I understand what you mean by too late."

White Crow looked down as she allowed her left hand to slip away from her legs. She ran her fingers through the long, cool grass around her.
"I'm a wanderer at heart," she answered. "With ... no reason to be in the plains, I journeyed south to Zhona. I couldn't stand it there, so I just kept wandering. I suppose it was inevitable that I'd end up wandering here eventually."

White Crow suddenly clenched the grass tightly in her fist, a pained look overtaking her normally gentle face.
"Some day I'll go back home," she muttered. "I won't let them get away with what they've done."

White Crow wrapped her arm around her legs once again, hugging them tighter. She glared out into the woods before her.

White Crow looked at him curiously.
"What tragedy has befallen you, Alex?" she asked. "Was it your mentor?"

White Crow shook her head sadly, withdrawing her hand.
"There isn't anything that can be done for the dead," she said. "Merely remember them as they were in life."

White Crow let out a soft sob and threw her arms around his neck, burying her face in his shoulder. She had no real reason to trust him as much as she did, but he was a kindred spirit. He had lost his family as she had lost hers. It was not often that she told anyone about her past, and rarer still was the moment when she would let anyone see her cry. However, at that moment, she did not care.

White Crow stopped crying at some point, and immediately felt a blush creeping into her cheeks. This was awkward, though not unpleasant. Still, she had thrown herself at a strange man like a common courtesan. She felt quite foolish, but she was uncertain if pulling away was a good idea.

White Crow nodded, clearly embarrassed by what she had done. She cleared her throat and looked away, her hands sliding away from him and down into the grass beside him.
"Um, sorry about that," she said quickly.

White Crow let out a soft sigh, and brought her hands up into her own lap. She balled her fists, her frustration evident.
"I'm already frustrated, I'm already empty," she said. "Those hobgoblins butchered my family and took my home. I have nothing left to lose, Alex."

White Crow locked eyes with Alex and gripped the front of his shirt with both hands.
"Then what am I supposed to do?" she asked. "Do I let the Red Hand get away with what they've done? Do I go back to Zhona and get swept away in the political intrigue? Do I settle down in that insane asylum they call Wing City? I don't know what else to do!"

"I suppose I could," she replied. "Still, I'm not sure it would sit well with me knowing that the Red Hand got away with their savagery."

White Crow tightened her hand suddenly around his fingers as she lowered her head in shame.
"I did not mean it that way," she replied. "I do value my life, but I am not afraid of death. Is that so strange?"
