Setting
Kobah would wrinkle his nose before snapping his teeth playfully at the poking finger, chuckling in return. "I didn't say camp, I just suggested naptime. Besides, if anyone tries to mess with us, our partners will protect us, and Arceus forbid if they open Loki's ball." He would only then proceed to snuggle? closer to her, squeezing her around the waist. "Besides, your apartment is too cramped for all of my little devilish things."
Radio stared deep into the Cradily's eyes and made louder moans, frowning deeply at Grendel. "Maaaaaaaah." Radio finally sat up and poked his little clawed arms at the Cradily, as if making soft demands. Meanwhile, Candy was happily using Thor as a personal jungle gym.
Kobah could only smile, easing off of her just a tad. "I'd like to, but I'm perfectly fine with going anywhere else you'd like to show me." In truth, Kobah knew enough about Castelia to know that he did not enjoy it, but it had a few attractions, even to him. The art gallery for one, was always a nice place to go, though it was quite a walk away from here. "Besides, you've been doing this all for me, Ceana. You decide what we do next." With that, Miro would look towards Thor who was roared excitedly as it finally managed to swing the pink ball of fluff off of him into the cool water below, right next to Tyr.
Upon getting splashed, the ice-type Cloyster could only look up at Thor and then to Candy with cool, cold, disinterest.
Candy squealed as she sailed through the air, and at the last moment took in air and puffed herself up so she could float on the surface of the water like a beach ball. She kicked her feet to guide her around the Cloyster, splashing him a few times with a squealing giggle. She scooped up water in her ears and tossed it towards the pier in a vain attempt to splash Thor as well.
Ceana played nervously with her hands and tucked the strands of hair behind her ear again and again. "Ah, but you're the guest! Well, if you don't mind the walk, we could go to the Castelia Park in the Central Plaza. They sell drinks and it's probably nice and cool there...and, um...Maybe if you wanted, the Pokés could stay and play, while we drop by Studio Castelia?" Ceana scowled as her eyes landed on the Slowking and Cradily. "Radio, no biting!" Radio continued biting.
Miro could see that Grendel was growing agitated and decided to solve the problem by sucking him back into his ball, leaving only Thor, Tyr, Hel, and Freya out to play, though Hel would not be bothered from her cuddling of Ceana to do so. And Freya was too Delicate. Truly, the only super-social members of Miro's current lineup would be Thor, and that was it. Speaking of Thor, the Electivire was enjoying the site of Candy happily splashing away at Tyr, while Tyr did his best to not look annoyed by the pink fluff ball.
"I'm good with that. I feel like Hel will want to come with us though. Shes not really a social flower, if you remember." The Espeon would look up at Kobah disdainfully for a moment before licking at the hand that was wrapped around Ceana's side, purring contently.
"Sorry, Miro...Radio's become more of a troublemaker since that Shellder latched onto him. Maybe he should come with us, too, to keep out of trouble." Radio flailed his arms, but didn't protest.
Candy bounced up off the water until she could hop back onto the pier, shaking the water off of her. She trilled and spun around, letting out the air and she leaped at Thor to climb him once more.
Freya would fly away into a nearby tree and nest there, glowing warmly. She would be fine on her own. "So, shall we?" Kobah would ask, standing up to stretch.
Whit opened her eyes and stood, stretching forward before trotting over to Candy and picking her up the by scruff of her neck. Candy flailed her arms and trilled at Thor, but finally let the Ninetales take her onto the grass to curl with for a nap.
Ceana blushed lightly and held her hand out to Miro. "To the Gallery?"
Tyr would dive and disappear below the waves for a few moments, before vanishing for good. He wouldn't return unless something happened, or unless Kobah called to him, and Thor took his giant self as sat down to also nap with the others, Freya still nestled up in the tree above their heads. It was as cute as a picture could be.
She gave a single look over the Pokémon and smiled softly at what looked to be a contented bunch. A little fluttering feeling rose up through her chest and she couldn't help but giggle happily as she tugged Miro down the street.
"So, am I going to have to rent a hotel, Ceana, or do I get to sleep on Soup for the first time in forever?" He asked, mostly joking.
Radio swung his arm as well, but since his arm was short, he didn't get to swing it out as far. As soon as he could see Casteliacone down the street, he began to moan out again. "Moooore...Ice cream."
"Damn, stupid sun, I forgot how blinding it could be."
Ceana smiled and turned to Miro, opening her mouth slightly to say something further, but she was struck by his eyes. She stopped swinging their arms and she was almost transfixed onto her face, blinking somewhat slowly as she took him in again. Even after all this time...She blushed lightly and squeezed his hand back almost instinctively, not replying for a while more as they walked. She just simply studied him before finally blushing deeper and looking at their feet. "Ah! Right, let's get inside, then!" She tugged him towards the entrance and practically dragged the hungry Slowking as well.
"You know Ceana, red is most definitely your color. You should wear it more often." Miro would laugh as he said this, poking her rose-pink cheek, still smiling that insanely warm, inviting, thin smile.
Ceana pressed a hand to her cheeks and only blushed deeper when she felt the heat rising from them. "Ah! Um, um, I guess it's hot out, right? I'm not embarrassed to walk around with you or anything!" She imagined how others must be seeing them and she couldn't keep her eyes on his face without her blush overwhelming her. She idly wondered if they made a cute couple...then immediately shook her head and swallowed again. "I-U-We should...Ah! Um..." Ceana grabbed a pamphlet from the desk and held it out to Miro, her eyes on her hands. "So, you'd...Where would you like to look first, um, Miro?" Her face felt like it would melt off.
Kobah would gaze over Ceana for a moment before taking the pamphlet from her, first starring into her eyes for as long as she would allow. Arceus, she was beautiful now...No, she'd always had been, but now it was just so much more obvious. With the slightest of blushes himself, he'd almost stutter when asking her. "Um...well, the Nature gallery looks interesting. I bet we'll see some familiar places in paint form. That sound good?" He'd go on to scratch the back of his head before shyly taking her hand once again, squeezing it while pulling her closer, very gentle in the way he did so. "You...you do look really good in anything, though, honestly..."
Ceana swung their arms slightly as soon as their hands were reintertwined, allowing herself to bump her shoulder into his briefly. "Don't be silly!" she replied with a nervous giggle. "I'm sure I looked absolutely silly with soy sauce spilled all over myself...Anyways, nature, right!" She ushered him over towards the correct wing, with a single scowl towards Radio. "Don't make trouble!"
"Well, I mean, you did look silly, but thats not what I meant..." He let it drop their however. This wasn't a conversation to be had in public and he really didn't want to embarrass her, as cute as it was when she was all aflustered. Going through the gallery, he'd stop at a picture of a lake, absolutely huge, and clear enough to see the silhouettes of pokemon swimming beneath the surface, but the most amazing thing was the large, crimson pokemon at the center of the lake, surrounded by raging waves in an otherwise calm, serene scene. It was the Lake of Rage, during the infestation of the Red Gyrados about six or seven years ago. Was it really that long? Still...the painting was a representation, stating that no matter how calm something can be, there could be an unstoppable anger inside of it...He couldn't help thinking of Loki...
Or of himself...Kobah couldn't tell how long he stood their...
Ceana almost continued on without him, but stopped when she saw his fascination with the large piece. She moved to his side and studied it herself, a light smile dancing across her features. She didn't see what Miro saw, but instead was enraptured by the pure beauty of the Gyarados, shining in its own inner light. Like White Heat and Freya, it was absolutely unique and somehow felt as if it held this inner wisdom and power that was unknown to the rest of the world. She stared into its eyes and a pang of hurt pressed through her heart. Misunderstood and mistreated...Team Rocket had abused one of the most precious Pokémon to be known, driving it to this desperate destruction. They'd corrupted it, just like everything else they got their claws into...Ceana blinked rapidly as her eyes began to water.
"It's beautiful," she stated simply and quietly.
"Its...lets move on, yeah? I wanna take a look at some of those paintings over their, especially 'Two Lovers Intertwined'. A picture quite famous, it depicted a pair of sunset silhouetted couple in a tight embrace, surrounding by swarming, butterfly like pokemon. Butterfrees, Venomoths, Beautiflies, Dustoxs, Vivillons, etc, etc. It was a moving portrait, and obviously, very romantic. The two in the couple were even kissing passionately, and Kobah hoped that Ceana didn't noticed him looking at her lips, a blush spreading across his lips.
After a long pause, she finally snapped back into reality. She was suddenly very aware of how close she and Miro had been walking and standing to each other...an intimately close distance. A blush lit up her cheeks yet again and she didn't dare to look at his face as her heart began to race. "It's-It's pretty, Miro! Right? Very pretty. The artist picked a, um...harmonious color scheme, that's why it looks so appealing to the eye with nothing really holding your attention. But the um, the value and intensity of the colors is what creates the motion of the wings and centers the eye on the couple..." Word. Very many words. Words keep the thoughts away.
"Um...Ceana...I've always wanted to ask you something...Do you...Um..." Suddenly, Kobah was cut off, as Hel would finally catch up to the Slowking, pouncing on him and murring loudly, licking its cheek.
"Look at the two of them...looks like she remembers him now." Kobah would smile, temporarily distracted.
Ceana didn't hear the beginnings of his question or even the remark about the Pokemon. Her heart was pounding in her ears and her knees felt like they were going to buckle. She swallowed hard and tried to ignore the fact that she could smell the earthy scent he gave off. Her brain was in overdrive, trying to make sense of all the emotions and chemical reactions happening throughout her body. Everything felt much too strongly and the comment from the elderly couple sent her over the edge. In an instant, her body began to collapse on itself. Her knees went out from under her, her jaw went lax, and her vision went completely out of focus as she would gradually crumple to the ground, her hand moving to slip from Miro's grasp.
When the Slowking would arrive, Kobah would simply ask "What should I do?" There was the slightest bit of fear in his voice...
