Setting
An extension of the ancient and foreboding woods. The trail continues to wind south amid the bent and gnarled branches of the twisted trees. Along the path is a wooden arrow sign. Scrawled on the sign in a long dead and forgotten language is a single word. The soft loam has been converted to hard packed earth, the smells of the forest almost overpowering. In the distance the sounds of animals moving are heard.

:Kaleb: smirked slightly, nodding to her, "Yeah. Yeah did. His name was Andre. You must've been there to buy something huh?"
:Kaleb: swallowed hard, a sudden lump unwelcomely coming into his throat. "I'm his grandson." Was all he managed to get out. How did she know about Kogarth? Did she know his older brother?
:Kaleb: lowered his head, burying his green eyes into the dirt beneath his feet. He was confused, but finally he managed to mutter quietly, "You knew Kogarth? Y-you knew my brother?"
:Kaleb: sighed deeply, crossing his arms awkwardly over his chest. his eyes started to sting, but he blinked it away quickly. His mouth felt dry, but he didn't have anything to drink anyway, he just stood there, and raised his head enough to meet the female's eyes. "I uh...M-my brother...Kogarth he...he was everything to me. When papa died, I was the one that told him, he was supposed to come up...to the farm...for the funeral and to help run it...but then...a week later...Someone came to the farm, told me they found Kogarth. I thought he'd been lost or something, but, they said they found him dead outside the scene of an explosion. I...I didn't believe them at the time...but...I guess it's true..isn't it?"

:Kaleb: nodded slightly, chewing on his lower lip for a moment. A small whisper escaped his lips then, he couldn't help it. "He was saving Jaz, right?"
:Kaleb: before allowing her to respond, interrupted. "He, he told me about her. That he loved her, she was his world."
:Kaleb: didn't understand what she meant, but he didn't feel like standing anymore, so he flopped onto the ground and laid back. "What do you mean? Did you know them? He never told me about anyone else, just Jaz."
:Kaleb: blinked, realization hitting him slowly. "Y-you're Jaz, aren't you?" He muttered, glancing up at the girl. Kogarth had told him everything, everything about her, the surgeries, the people hunting her, ever detail he knew. It made him feel the slightest bit better though, knowing that Garth had given his life successfully so save someone he loved. His mind choked though, and he suddenly whispered, "D-do you think..do you think it hurt Jaz?"
:Kaleb: nodded slightly, a small relief hinting into his system, "I hope not, he didn't deserve to feel pain in his death, especially not when he was heroically saving someone he loved." He paused then, glancing up at the sky, "You make me proud Gartho, and I bet Papa's proud too."
:Kaleb: drug himself to his feet, stuffing his hands into his pockets and looking back at the ground solemnly. "Tell me about him?"
:Kaleb: bit his lip, humming a small "mhmm" in reply. For a moment he just stood there, relaying what she had said over his mind while he tried desperately to remember what Kogarth had looked like. Finally, he turned around to face the direction he had come and shifted uneasily on his feet. "Sounds just like him.." he whispered.

"Yeah" He said, reaching a hand up to rub at one of his eyes, "Yeah he did. Everything he knew at the time. When I'd talked to him I guess you guys had ended up splitting up from each other...He uh, he was really torn up about it at the time. But, he kept telling me about you, and I could hear it in his voice, this real big dumb smile he had."

:Kaleb: paused for a moment, a small silence making the atmosphere uncomfortable, "Are you safe now?"

slowed, and stopped, standing behind the trees, watching the people. the girl on his back watching silently.

:Kaleb: nodded, more to himself than her, then glanced around at the trees. "He'd be happy then, knowing that he saved you. He'd be happy." The words seemed to roll out of his mouth like barbed wire tearing at a piece of paper. "But, if I knew Kogarth, even a little bit, he'd want me to stay with you. Keep you safe."

they both struggles to hold back laughs. he whispered something and the sky darkened, a blood red moon appearing in it. he suddenly ran around, while the girl stayed watching them from there. on the other side, a pair of glowing red eyes appeared from behind the trees, watching still.

:Kaleb: turned slightly, looking at her incredulously and confused. "What?" he muttered, his eyes filling with water, "What do you mean? What happened? Please...tell me why my brother died."

the woman suddenly appeared behins kaleb, james appearing just behind the left shoulder of jaz. his low, hypnotic voice coming from right beside her." please, allow me to help rid you fo your sorrow..." with that luna, the small female vampire spoke from behind kaleb" and your sadness and mourning as well.."

:Kaleb: blinked, the color draining from his skin as his eyes widened. He shook his head, trying desperately to shake the words he had just heard from his mind, "No..." He breathed, "No..y-you couldn't have..y-you wouldn't..." His eyes started stinging again, but now he didn't care, he just stared at Jaz. "How? W-why? Why!?" He demanded, his chest locking up with pain. A sudden soft voice came from his back, and he lurched, turning quickly to see who was there.

the smaller woman smiled. her long brown hair blowing to the right in the wind. her red eyes peered straight into his." hello there.... wouldn't happen to be spooked by scared little me would ya?" and witht hat she punced at his chest, snapping at his neck. James on the other hand lay a hand on the womans shoulder reassuringly." you're not responsible..... allow me to make you feel all better..." with that he was right beside her, his colde breath against her neck as he snapped at her neck from the side, his fangs sparkling like needles.

:Kaleb: shook his head, squeezing his eyes shut. He didn't care, he couldn't. "How...how in the -hell- do you -accidentally- drop a bomb and kill my brother? The man you supposedly loved? How do you do that?" She mentioned that a man had attacked her, that he wanted it to happen, but it only confused him more. "Why a man, who was after -you- want my brother dead? You're not making any sense!" He was yelling now, too loudly to hear the female behind him's words. Suddenly though, he was on the ground, sprawling and yelling, shoving at the female, who had astounding strength, to get her off. His efforts were to no avail though, a sudden sharp piercing pain going into his neck. Again, he cried out, this time in pain as he fought the female harder

the female drank the boy's blood as quickly as she could. James smiled. he touched hsis jaw as he got up off his back. he then let a low growl and the ground around him frosted over slowly, spreading towards her, the trees and grass in the strange force's path wilting and dieing fromt he cold. he moved forwards once more, in a very graceful fashion.
