Simon lets an apple fall down on the ground out of suprise. he quickly turns around, looking at Assasin. '' i.. i.. ''
"Stealin', huh? Sucks that I happened to catch you, what with being a close friend of Snowman who holds this bar very dear to him." She leant her chin on one hand. "Whatcha gonna do now?"
Simon looks at Assassin, being frozen on the spot. '' i.. didnt.. '' his voice is afraid, and he doesnt know how to react.
"Oh c'mon kid, react." She rose up to her full height, which was only around five feet tall. "Going to run or beg? I'm obviously some sort of ninja-looking person."
"Got a name?"
"Got a name?"
He looks at her and says: '' S.. Simon.. '' he mumbles. he takes a step back and puts one hand on a crate. '' i'm not a bad person. '' he says.
'' y.. yeah.. '' he swallows as he answers. '' why would you ask that? '' he says with a faint hesitation in his voice. his hand slowly goes in to the box while he speaks.
"Because good people with families don't steal. Level with me kid, if you're an orphan, I don't care, I'm just less likely to throw you out on the street.""
he gets a little less afraid after hearing her answer. '' well why would that make a diffrence? '' he says. '' i still stole something, and stealing isn't good... ''
'' but... i dont trust you.. '' there is a noticable sound of confusion in his voice. '' i've never seen you before or anything. ''
"Yeah, I get that. What with... Being a ninja and all. See, ain't that the thing? Right now I've got two choices. I could kick you out on the curb, hungry, for being a thief, or I could throw you a metaphorical bone."
'' those choices aren't fair... '' he looks at the ground '' you already know what choice i'm going to take. Can't you just let me go, i will promise to never steal again.. '' his voice has a sad tone to it.
"Wait. The option of food and a bed isn't..." She cocked her head, like a cat would.
"Yeah, I can let you go. You'll be hungry, though."
"Yeah, I can let you go. You'll be hungry, though."
He looks at Assassin and gives a calm nod. '' alright, ill be leaving then. '' he slowly starts walking towards the door.
Simon takes a deep breath. '' because i dont wanna be a property of someone... '' he walks up to Assassin and puts his hands in his pocket. he takes out an apple, some bread and a few pieces of ham. '' here, these dont belong to me. '' he hands them over.
She grinned behind her mask. "Nobody does, kid. But when life gets you desperate enough, who knows what depths you'll sink. I'll see you around." The worst of it was, she could have offered him a job cleaning dishes.
Simon walked through the storeroom, heading to some boxes that were standing against the wall. he opened one of them, and searched through it. after a few moments of searching he took a bottle of apple juice out of it. He only was here to get this, nothing more. he closed the box, and started walking back, but saw an open box. there was chocolate in it. He hassitated for a moment. He already was in the storeroom, it wouldnt hurt if he took some more thing with him, would it? he moved towards the box, and took a few bars of chocolate out of it. He putted them into his pockets, and made his way to the door.
