Library of Freeport, a towering clean block of a building with tomes from across the galaxy. The bottom three floors are filled with state of the art technology, and on the top floor are the oldest of books. The shelves are not very high- but there are a lot of them.
The entire interior is white, which can be unnerving until you let yourself succumb to the starkness and the quiet.
This, the Freemen found, was not only the best way to ensure everyone could learn always, but it also did it's fair share of cutting down on crime.

Atani took a deep breath when they stepped in. Inside the library was a stark contrast to the street of White Flame Main. Inside it was quiet-almost too quiet. The entry chamber opened doorless to a larger room, which didn't seem to have much in it. Every now and again someone was standing inside of a ring with a pair of dark glasses on, moving about. Atani pointed to the people in the rings.
"They're working in virtual reality."

"To be honest I don't know how it all works, just that it does, and we use it for things. I do believe that man over there is an architect," She pointed to a guy wearing all black and white. His attire had angular pleating similar to Atani's, and his sleeves were quite billowy before tapering in at the wrist. A newer fashion trend in Freeport - Atani didn't quite know what to think. She had to admit he looked...well, he looked like quite the spectacle doing what he was doing wearing what he was wearing.

Atani Berentes noticed that Ramuki had drawn a bit of attention, but not as much as might be expected. In Freeport the library was one of the more popular places to visit for anyone from any walk of life. While Ramuki stuck out like a sore thumb you'd be surprised how many apprentice mages wandered through here on the bad end of a spell - usually at the least busiest time - in search of a book to help them. It was a common practice of many Masters to publicly shame an apprentice in such manner. Icarus's Walk they called it.
Ramuki of course was unaware of such a tradition. He continued nonchalantly digesting his meal though, at least his biology was functional
