Chessene Sanaito snatched the letter and read it.


Her eyes widened immensely, a bit of a blush crossing her face as she fixed her glasses, regaining her composure. She turned around to face a blankly staring Slowpoke before sighing and turning to address the Cherrim in the room instead.



The Cherrim ran over and took the letter, taking it to a small second-hand machine that was practically choking on its last legs. Somehow, it managed to print out a Pawprint Scratch version with several notes added explaining details before the Cherrim took it and posted it on the board.

Chessene seemed visibly shaken.

Vivian the Lopunny tilted her head once more, understandably a bit lost. "What did it say?" she asked, rather curious. Though, her voice was still hushed. Best not to wake the children. Despite being of a warrior's tribe and raised with warrior's values and specializing in punching dastards in the face, she was an ironically considerage and gentle mother, if not lacking something in the restraint department when it came to harsh realities.

Chessene Sanaito ushered in an alert gesture to the Slowpoke, shooting a glare at the thing before it seemingly came to it's senses and did it's sole job of ringing the Urgency Bell.

She then answered Vivian.


With the bell rung it took only minutes for the room to flood with roughly 20 Pokemon, many in groups of 2-4, although some solos were present regardless.

Vivian the Lopunny suddenly stood tall, despite the weight in her ears. "I'm ready to fight for these pokemon's freedom. Count me in." she said, rather oblivious to the fact that a female lopunny would likely be the jackpot of any pervert preying on women. These hips don't lie, when she kicks crotches pokemon never breed again. Jokes aside, she seemed pretty confident, despite the children in her arms. Oh dear... Did she understand the conflict here? In a dangerous job like this, she had to consider what was more important—Being a mother or being a ranger. It wasn't clear that she had even considered this.

Chessene Sanaito merely explained the situation.
Most of you know the drill. This bell is saved for urgent purposes. In this case, it is as you guess. A chance to save a poor soul from Team Chain. However, the target is inside Nightward Cavern. Prepare accordingly, and go when you're ready. I'll be here with Kalem and a few others keeping tabs on you guys through your badges.

We have little time, so swiftness is key. However, take care of yourselves. I'd rather us not have to add any of you to the bulletin board too.


With that said, the Pokemon began busily preparing themselves. Chessene approached Vivian.
If you wish to go, we'll watch the kids. Leia is one of the best caretakers I know of around here. Don't let anything stop you. Just be careful.

Vivian the Lopunny hesitated a moment. She relaxed her grip on the two smaller pokemon and shifted them into view again. Right... She supposed she couldn't bring them. "...I won't—And please, let them know I'll be back when they wake up." she said. Her confidence was unshakable, it seemed. Vivian then proceeded to hold out her ears, seemingly offering the two to Chessene on the spot. A part of her knew there was always the chance she could die, but death had ceased to be a thing she was frightened by long ago. It was only the thought that she might leave children unattended that filled her with regret for her lifestyle. Alas, it seemed too late to change her mind on that one.

She then turned to go and take the kids down the stairs, sliding past the Probopass.

Legend the Torchic puffed out her chest by taking a deep breath as if to display pride. They might notice she had no arms, but rather feathery bumps where arms were still waiting to form. "A mission!—Y'know, where all the fun stuff happens!" she explained. "They go to save Pokemon!~ The rangers..." she continued, silently neglecting to note that she was not in fact one of them. Only the people who graduated got to become rangers.
