Jenn smiled at Anima as she followed her through and led her back outside, looking up to see, as of right now, the super-massive UNSC Infinity looming above them.
Anima looked up and back so much her hat fell off. She meeped and grabbed it quickly."I don't want to loose this."
"Sorry." She frowned a bit. "Amazing ship she is. The Infinity." She smiled. "Pinnacle of all of our tech."
"She can hold a few ships like the Fast Progress in her hangar too." She walked over to where she parked the Mongoose, but it wasn't there, so she settled for a Warthog.
She got into the warthog and looked at Jenn, smiling happily."To General Black's office!" She giggled.
"Hoo-ah!" She plants her foot on the accelerator and books it for the Admin complex back up on the top of the hill, in the main yard. She parked it out front, and shut it off. "And here we ar ma'am." She laughed,
Anima followed her and grinned. Wanting Jenn to be with her when she asked Black about her being the XO.
Jenn guided her upstairs to a door with two flags on each side, the UNSC flag, and the UEG "colonial" flag. She waited for Anima, before opening the door.
Anima followed Jenn, staying close by her and watching. Looking around as she walked in the door. Her eyes taking in all the detail they could.
"You can come in." Said General Black, from inside the room. The doors opened, revealing a concrete room with a black desk, and flags behind it. On the wall was the seal of the Corbulo Academy.
Anima smiled and saluted General Black. Watching him happily."Sir, I was wondering if I could make a different request."
Anima did so and watched the man."I was wondering, if it was okay with you, if Sergeant Logan could be my XO."
He raised an eyebrow, and took a second to think about that. "Sergeant, could you give us a moment?" Jenn nodded and stepped outside, the doors then closed. "Why?"
"Because originally i asked her to be my first mate on my...well...ship...before I learned of any of this stuff. Which, as I understand it, would entitle her to the same job as it would on this ship. Besides...I think she's a good candidate for being an officer. She's professional, shes a good teacher, shes loyal, and I know she can get the job done."
"Fair enough. Do you want my honest opinion?" He folded his hands together, putting his fingers to his lips.
"I want whatever opinion you would feel like giving me sir." She stated as she watched him. Hopeful.
He walked over to a small plinth near a wall, and poked it. Seconds later, a hologram showing Jenn, and her info, appeared above the plinth. "She's got the markings of a good leader. Strong, intelligent, compassionate. My only issue is this. She's still a student here. She's still learning."
"I understand that, but even though she is still learning, she has a better understanding of these things than I do. And having her with me on board the ship would be a welcome comfort as well, she would know how to run the ship better than I would, so I would need someone I can trust to help run the ship. Someone who I know can give me good advice and can help me decide on what to do."
"Okay. And what of your relationship with her?" He raised an eyebrow, having known of it since day one.
