Quark Quark didn't know what to do other than continue kissing her, so he did just that.He then decided to move his hand to the side of her head, running his fingers through her hair as he kissed her.
Everest J. rolled on top of him and began to run her hands along his chest again. The kiss went on as she did so. Perhaps he would take it further and if he did she was always prepared.
Quark Quark still felt confused, but he continued to kiss her, not wanting to break the moment. He loved her, but he was unsure of things and didn't know whether he was ready to take their relationship that extra step yet or not. All he knew was that he was confused about the situation as well as his emotions.
Everest J. , though she was a vampire, still needed to breathe and she was pretty sure quick needed to do the same. She broke the kiss but remained close as she took light breaths to catch her breath. "Incredible," she whispered. "Simply incredible," she said referring to their kiss. He hadn't made any advancements so she was going to assume he wasn't ready. And she wasn't going to press him into it if he wasn't ready.
Quark "So, you want to go check if that epic fail has left the bar yet?" He asked her, suddenly feeling his power return and his throat and nose clearing.
Quark Quark somehow managed to slid beside her, although she had been atop him. He got up, both getting free from under her and standing up in one graceful motion. He put out his hand to help her up.
Everest J. gripped his hand with hers and used it to pull herself up beside him. How he had gotten out from under her confused her just a little bit but it passed quickly.
Quark As he helped her up, he pulled her to him, kissing her once more. After a few seconds, he pulled back, still holding her hand. He noticed the soup, reaching out and grabbing it with his free hand. He then swallowed it quickly, using the bowl like a glass.
Everest J. looked at her bowl of and grimaced though she was pretty sure it wouldn't be noticed by him. She had no appetite at the moment so the thought of eating made her just a little queasy. So instead she just watched him finish his while she waited to go.
Quark Quark had a sharp eye for expressions though, and he easily noticed her grimace out of the corner of his vision. "Something wrong?" He asked her, putting down the bowl as he polished off the rest of the soup. It did wonders for the sore throat his cold had left behind when it left promptly.
Everest J. "I'm not hungry," is all she said as a reply. Wasn't the best reply but it suited her purpose. She looked up at him again. "Ready to go?"
Quark Quark looked at her curiously. "If you want, we can stay here and do something else." He offered, not sure of whether she wanted to head to the bar.
Everest J. tilted her head. "No, we should go. I think my butler needs a peaceful night for once...," she said referring to something that Quark would probably not get right away.
Quark "Erm...huh?" He inquired, like she predicted not understanding what she had said, mostly because he didn't wish to misinterpret what she had said.
Everest J. tilted her head back to its original position. "Nothing," she replied almost instantly after he had questioned what she was saying. "Let's go." Since she was still holding his hand she started moving towards the door.
Quark Quark followed her, still not wanting to misinterpret what she had said. "Erm...okay." He told her, following shortly behind her. As he followed, he began wondering what other effects large quantities of his blood could have on her and her body. For all he knew, it might end up giving her his power.
Everest J. started moving them down the hallway but near the end she was stopped by the butler. He held a single candle in his hand which was the only light in the hallway. It gave him a kind of eerie look with his somewhat wrinkled face and his dark grey hair. She stopped which meant Quark had to stop too.
"Should I expect any screams tonight Madame?" he asked with his deep monotone voice.

Everest J. The butler looked at Quark as if he had just noticed him. He noticed the younger man's change of color which didn't seem like a good thing. "Don't worry my boy," he said. "They aren't screams of pain," he reassured him.

Quark Quark seemed to turn whiter at this 'reassurance'. He didn't know whether to punch the butler for lying, look to Everest, or just ignore the whole thing and act as if he had already known. Instead though, he chose none of those mental options and just stood there, frozen in place.
Everest J. The butler looked back at Everest. "It seems I've made your lover ill. You should see to that." He turned around and stalked down the hallway which submerged Quark and Everest in darkness.
"It's not what you think," is all she could say as she looked at Quark and noted his change of skin color which was closer to hers now.
