Setting
Ginny was, understandably, wound a little tight at having had to relocate herself and Cerenah, as well as Sedra and Vrass, with such short notice, but she certainly hadn't the need to take it out on Sedra. ”
Cerenah was morosely eating her way through a sandwich. She was still quite young, and all the excitement of the day cooking with Grandma, becoming upset over Sedra and then this little escapade had tired out the girl.
Unseen, but having tracked them quite diligently since the start, Garrit watched from some small way away, a look of deep distaste on her face.
"Tired, Sed'a," Cerenah murmured, abandoning her sandwich to wearily make her way over to Sedra. She plonked down rather carelessly beside the man, intending on simply sitting there, though judging by the way her eyes drooped with every breath and her head nodded with every blink seemed to suggest she'd be snoozing very soon.
Garrit outright glared when Sedra lifted the child, her faint distress rapidly replaced with a blind rage tinted with envy.
Cerenah yawned, making herself quite comfortable against Sedra before muttering some nonsensical words about her teapot. "S'to wake m'up, 'D'a."
Ginny almost thought that her daughter had called Sedra 'Da' at that sleep slur of words. "I'll take her, if you want..." ”
"S'cuddly like V'ass is, 'D'a," Cerenah mumbled. ”
